"Can we start the match now?"
Ignoring Yogetsu Hozuki's complaint, Sasuke turned his head to ask Hayate Gekko.
"As long as both sides are ready!"
Hayate glanced at the two fighters and quickly announced the beginning of the match before hurrying toward the exit passage. This was the best escape route—if anything went wrong in the Arena, he'd be able to get out faster. This year's batch of kids had such strong destructive power when fighting; better to keep a safe distance.
"Konoha Genin, Sasuke Uchiha."
Sasuke made the Defiant Seal and rested his right hand on the hilt at his back.
"Kiri Genin, Yogetsu Hozuki."
Yogetsu did the same, mirroring Sasuke's movement with his right hand. Behind Yogetsu's back was also a sword—though while Sasuke carried a tanto (short blade), Yogetsu carried a longer blade.
"Clang"
The next second, everyone felt their vision blur momentarily as Sasuke and Yogetsu had already clashed, the shorter and longer blades colliding and producing a crisp metallic sound.

Sasuke's black pupils shifted, revealing three dark tomoe swirling within his blood-red irises, radiating unseen ocular power.
"Not good—is this Sharingan's genjutsu?"
Yogetsu suddenly felt dizzy and disoriented. Instantly alert, he quickly turned his head sideways, refusing to directly meet Sasuke's gaze.
Just at this moment when Yogetsu distracted himself by turning his head, Sasuke kicked out with one foot, landing a powerful strike right into Yogetsu's stomach and sending him flying through the air.
"Tch, that hurts."
Getting up from the ground, Yogetsu rubbed his belly and curiously asked, "So that was the Sharingan's illusion technique?"
"It's not a full genjutsu—just a minor effect of the Sharingan," Sasuke straightforwardly explained without concealment. "Using the Sharingan's power to invade your brain, causing a brief moment of mental confusion—it's just an auxiliary attacking method."
"I've heard about the Uchiha clan's Sharingan before, but I've never seen one in person until now. Having experienced it myself, the sensation was actually quite interesting!"
Recalling that momentary feeling of mental disorientation, Yogetsu said, "From what I know based on prior intelligence, yours should be the Triple Tomoe Sharingan—the highest-level Sharingan. Your talent is indeed terrifying!"
"Talent?" Sasuke smiled slightly, neither confirming nor denying. "My talent isn't as powerful as you imagine. The strength I have now has taken considerable effort to achieve."
"Whether you're a genius or not doesn't really matter. Anyway, I just want to fight you seriously!"
Filling his eyes with fighting spirit, Yogetsu continued, "I want to see how big the gap really is between me and other village prodigies!"
"My pleasure," Sasuke's lips curved into a slight smirk. "I also want to see exactly what the Kekkei Genkai of the Hozuki clan looks like."
"Then come at me."
Yogetsu Hozuki roared and launched an attack toward Sasuke. His long blade slashed upward from below, aiming straight at Sasuke's abdomen. Chakra surged through his wrist as he swung the blade with sudden, enhanced power. "Try my Water Style: Great Water Arm Technique!"
Ding!
"So much force… Is this a ninjutsu that boosts strength?" Sasuke blocked with his blade but was pushed backward several steps along with his sword. Sasuke shook his slightly numb wrist, his expression turning surprised.
"What a shame."
Though the Sharingan had deciphered the Water Style: Great Water Arm Technique, Sasuke sighed inwardly. The technique didn't suit him — it worked best for someone wielding heavy weaponry. His tanto had always relied on speed rather than pure power.
Though filled with regret, Sasuke didn't slow down his movements. White Fang sword techniques were inherently offensive; defense had never been their style. Just now, Yogetsu Hozuki had taken the initiative, but now Sasuke was the one to strike first.
His foot shifted, and in an instant, Sasuke flashed forward like lightning, reappearing right in front of Yogetsu Hozuki. The White Fang Tanto swept toward his opponent's throat.
Yogetsu blocked the tanto midair with his own long sword, then threw a punch with his free hand straight toward Sasuke's face.
Punch!
Sasuke extended his left hand to block the blow. Then, twisting his palm, he grabbed Yogetsu's wrist and applied slight pressure until he forced it open.
"Time to use your hand for me."
Grabbing Yogetsu's palm before the opponent could react, Sasuke quickly formed several hand seals. He then drove his knee into Yogetsu's midsection, forcing him to jump backward.
[Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!]
As Yogetsu was pushed into retreating backward, Sasuke completed the seals. A massive fireball bursting with intense heat shot out of his mouth, flying straight toward Yogetsu mid-air.
"You used my hand to perform the hand seals?!" Yogetsu felt something was off as soon as Sasuke gripped his wrist. Seeing Sasuke complete the seals using his hand shocked him, yet a grin spread across his lips.
Splashing!
Hit head-on by the great fireball, Yogetsu's body instantly dissolved into a puddle of water, splattering onto the ground. At the sight, the Triple Tomoe in Sasuke's eyes swirled slightly, though his face remained impassive.
"A Water Clone Jutsu?!"
Glancing at the puddle, Sasuke tightened his guard and scanned the area for further attacks.
[Water Style: Water Gun Technique!]
Yet just then, Yogetsu emerged from the water on the ground, his left hand shaped like a gun, a droplet of water condensing between his fingers.

"Hiding underwater again?" Sasuke muttered, his expression still composed. At the exact moment Yogetsu executed his Water Gun Technique, electricity flashed across Sasuke's body.
