The two young nurses finished tidying up the room and left without realizing that Mikoto Uchiha on the bed had already opened her eyes.
Mikoto Uchiha lay stiffly on the bed, as if her spirit had abandoned her body. What did she just hear? The man who always professed his love for her was having an affair—and had even flirted openly with nurses right under her nose while she was pregnant?!
Tears rolled silently down Mikoto Uchiha's cheeks, her three-tomoe Sharingan appearing without her realizing it.
"This is complete slander! A total lie!"
Fugaku Uchiha clenched his teeth until they nearly cracked. Especially under the quiet, scrutinizing gaze of Shisui Uchiha, he felt the urge to punch someone.
"I know!" Itachi Uchiha remained expressionless. He naturally knew these scenes were fake—Father had stayed by her side throughout her pregnancy, never leaving the hospital when she gave birth. After Sasuke was born, Father had continued to stay by her side during her recovery. He had been present through all of it himself. Knowing the truth didn't help—he still felt uneasy watching such vivid illusions.
"Fugaku-san, don't get too upset—it can't be helped. For Mikoto's Mangekyo Sharingan awakening, you'll just need to endure a little longer. Anyway, Mikoto's memories are sealed by me now—we'll remove this illusion soon enough," Sakura comforted him, reminding everyone that this was nothing more than fabricated imagery.
Though Fugaku Uchiha still felt angry inside, he could only grit his teeth and continue watching.
"No way—I must ask Clan Leader Fugaku about this myself!"
In the vision, determination flashed across Mikoto Uchiha's face as she suppressed her sorrow. She refused to believe that Husband Fugaku could ever behave that way. She needed answers.
"Hmph, did you see that? Mikoto still believes in me!" Hearing his wife's soft murmurs within the vision, Fugaku felt a surge of joy and smugly raised an eyebrow toward Sakura.
Then, the scene shifted—the hospital door slowly opened, revealing a mere five-year-old Itachi Uchiha cradling a newborn baby.
"Oh, Itachi came," Mikoto managed a faint smile seeing her son appear. "Bring your little brother over so I can take a look!"
"Mother, why does my little brother look like this?!"
Itachi Uchiha pulled Sasuke close without a word. On screen appeared a baby with pitch-black skin—no doubt about it, the bloodline of the Cloud Village.
"Why does Sasuke look like this?!"
The scene hadn't even started playing yet, but Itachi was already breaking inside. The child did resemble how Sasuke looked right after birth—but where had this skin tone come from?
"Well... artistic interpretation, you know? These things happen."
Sakura forced out a weak laugh. To force Mikoto into awakening her Mangekyō Sharingan, Sakura had painstakingly set up this whole scene—deliberately making her feel despair and pain to spark the activation.
"Fine, fine. I'll bear with it—for the sake of Mikoto's Mangekyō Sharingan."
Fugaku Uchiha was furious enough to kill Sakura on the spot, but remembering all of this was fake—and their ultimate goal was to help strengthen Mikoto—he forced himself to swallow his anger.
"He is not the child you know as your son."
Before Mikoto—who was still too shocked to speak—could say anything, someone slammed open the hospital room door. Standing in the doorway was a visibly enraged Fugaku Uchiha.
"Honey, what are you talking about? Sasuke is our son!"
Mikoto widened her eyes in disbelief as she stared at Fugaku. Wait, hadn't they agreed not to decide on a name for the baby yet? Why was he calling him "Sasuke"? Oh well, that wasn't important now.
Sakura exhaled in relief—luckily she'd used the Mind Stone to gloss over that plot hole earlier.
"How could I, Fugaku Uchiha, have a son from the Cloud Village?!"
In the vision, Fugaku's expression remained cold, his gaze fixed on Mikoto with nothing but distance and disgust.
"Honey, I don't know why either—but Sasuke really is your child!"
Mikoto's eyes welled up with tears. What was going on here? She truly didn't understand—why had her own son changed like this? And why didn't even Fugaku believe her anymore?!

Itachi gasped in horror as he watched the monitor. A sharp pain pierced his chest so badly he nearly collapsed.
"Give me a break! That's going way too far—even for someone obsessed with his little brother!"
Annoyed beyond words, Sakura thought Itachi's obsessive devotion toward his little brother was simply incurable. Or was it just that every Uchiha household with two sons inevitably ended up with an unhealthy brother obsession?
"I know it's an illusion, that it's fake, but I can't help how I feel!"
Itachi offered a sheepish smile. These were genuine emotions—he couldn't possibly control them.
"Would someone care to explain what the hell is going on here?!"
Fugaku glared furiously at the screen, teeth grinding hard enough to spark. "Why am I always the bad guy in these illusions?"
Fugaku Uchiha was furious. He used to be cold toward enemies, yet always gentle with his family. How did he turn into such a despicable man in this illusionary realm?!
