Hori gently placed her hand on his shoulder and dislocated his joints.
She affected the Glenohumeral joint by separating the humerus (upper arm bone) from his scapula (shoulder blade)
A Permanent Injury.
Thomas immediately cried in pain rolling on the floor. His eyes turned red as his mouth slowly foamed.
----------
"Haha, this is getting interesting."
Tadashi chuckled, surprised such a small girl defeated Thomas.
"That girl sure is strong."
A tall woman with slim eyes said approaching Tadashi.
She wore a black suit with a loose collar.
Her hair dyed dark purple with a spiky choker around her neck, looking like a Gothic punk enjoyer. And of course the golden cross worn around the neck of all Priests.
".... wuwei?!"
Tadashi asked, his voice surprisingly showing emotion.
"I thought you were dead!"
He removed his circular glasses for a better look.
Wuwei gave a sarcastic laugh. Knowing the Bishop was simply teasing.
She explained that she had traveled to see my parents in China. That was why she was out of commission for 6 months.
She brought a chair and sat close to Tadashi wearing pants she carelessly opened her legs.
"Anyways, what's up with this girl?"
She asked pointing at the huge television, referring to Hori, she saw how she effortlessly dislocated Thomas's shoulder.
"There's no info on her, normally after registration, participants often go to the site to add more detail about themselves. Not like it's necessary, it just gives SHO an insight on who you are."
Tadashi spoke scrolling through his tablet.
"So her's was blank?"
She questioned resting on tadashi's shoulder.
"Okay, first of all I'm married, okay?"
He removed her head. Wuwei was always like this.
"And it's not just her, the first guy to finish the first trial,Maru Haruki, there wasn't any info on him either."
It seemed the strongest participants were the most mysterious.
-----------
Back to Hori versus Thomas.
The mad man crawled on the floor cursing Hori.
"You son of a bitch!! I'll definitely kill you!!!"
Despite his cursing, the pain didn't stop.
Hori asked for her rod, he couldn't fight anymore, this was her victory.
"u...ugh...! F.... f..fine...!!!"
He used his left hand to reach into his pocket and brought out Hori's red rod, it was now as tall as her head to waist.
She stretched her hand to collect it.
"Finally! Now I can pass this trial-
Thomas threw the rod off the pillar.
Wuwei grit her teeth from watching.
"That's just mean...!"
She cursed Thomas.
Tadashi replied.
"It's the girls fault, she should have just beaten him to death and collected her rod. Okay, let's get ready to announce her disqualification, the rods are light so it might take a while till it touches the ground."
He said turning away from the screen taking a drink. Hori was the most interesting participant out of the batch.
Wuwei sighed.
"That's too bad...I would have loved to mentor her, she seems strong."
She took a sip from Tadashis drink.
"Wuwei! I'm married!!"
He warned her, knowing she purposely drank for an indirect kiss.
---------
Hori was left speechless after what Thomas just did.
"Hah! You really thought I was gonna give it to you?! After fucking up my shoulder?!!! You wish!! Hahahah!!! What kinda loser fails the first trial!!"
He said trying to make Hori cry.
Hori stood there in silence, 'Thomas had promised to return the rod, but he didn't... why...? ...isn't that just mean?'
She thought while standing, awaiting her disqualification as Thomas laughed in mockery.
Shocking Thomas, Tadashi, Wuwei. Everyone observing her. Hori jumped off the pillar chasing her rod.
Wuwei choked on her drink from what Hori just did.
Tadashi immediately pressed a red button on the desk to activate the announcer speaker.
He yelled shocking all participants still jumping from pillar to pillar.
Meadow was already at the finishing pillar, it was red in color, she handed over her red rod to a Hataki on standby.
'I heard the announcer just now, what's Hori doing?'
She thought before proceeding to follow the Hataki leading participants to the lodge.
Thomas laid there, his shock turned to laughter.
"What the fuck?! What an idiot!!!"
he started laughing uncontrollably. He crawled to the edge of the pillar to see if Hori ACTUALLY jumped, she did.
"Does the idiot think he can get it before it touches the ground?!!"
Thomas facepalmed.
Tadashi repeated himself through the announcer button, asking Hori what she just did.
Wuwei panicked.
"Shouldn't we go get her?!"
Tadashi scratched his head and answered.
"We can't do that, it's her decision... besides interaction of Priests with participants is forbidden...!"
"But aren't you a Bishop?! You supposed to be some special exception right?!"
The room was getting rowdy as other Priests present saw what just happened.
Hori was falling from the 300 meters high pillar in pursuit of her rod. The wind screaming at her in protest as she plummeted deeper and deeper.
Hori quickly reasoned.
Since the rod looked as small as a candle, and had no weight, she should fall faster than it.
Hori sighted the rod!
"There it is!'
She stretched her hand while still falling in the air! Heavy breeze swept through her face making it difficult to see, but she still some how managed.
Hori snatched it.
"Got it!"
An explosion sounded. Her body landed on the floor, after falling with speeds of 200 Miles Per Hour.
Tadashi sighed.
He pressed the red button activating the announcer speaker.
Tadashi was interrupted by what he saw on screen.
Wuwei gasped.
"No way! Is that even possible?!"
She covered her mouth.
-----------
Thomas stood up and was about to jump to the next pillar. Clenching his dislocated right shoulder.
"Time to get going, if I pass this one and get to the next trial, I'll be sure to kill more people....!"
He grinned.
"I think I saw a pregnant woman! It'll be nice to rip through her belly, and the unborn child will simply be a bonus!"
He was salivating saying such twisted lines.
Thomas paused.
"... wait have they announced that boys elimination? I think the announcer was about to say it."
Wuwei yelled in disbelief.
"This is just unrealistic! no normal human can survive that fall...!"
Priests in the lounge were shocked, shouting could be heard through out the entire room.
Hori was still alive. Using her hands to support her body as if doing a push up.
She held the rod with her teeth desperately preventing it from touching the floor.
Beneath her was a crater, showing she made contact with the floor, BUT THE ROD DID NOT.
Tadashi marveled. His usually dead eyes glowed with astonishment.
Narrator - What Hori did was some fast and clever thinking, first she quickly held her red rod with her teeth after catching it in the air. As soon as her body was about to land, Hori punched the ground with tremendous force, hoping it would reduce the damage to her body.
Narrator - It worked, as previously explained, Hori's hands gain the properties of natural diamond when inflicting harm on an entity. Meaning that they would be hard enough to punch the floor without her hands shattering, although the size of the crater would depend on how much strength Hori applied.
Hori slowly stood up as her body made cracking sounds, her spinal cord was damaged, along with her left femur.
Narrator - Although it significantly reduced the force of impact, her body still suffered tremendous damage.
'You don't have to spell everything out, Narrator...'
Hori said in her mind. She was in no condition to pronounce her witty remarks. Her body cried blood as her muscles had been shredded.
Tadashi pressed the announcer button.
<...ehmm... contestant Inori, would you like to use the Bribery System? You are in no condition to continue this trial...!"
Hori waved to the sky signaling "NO" her lungs were damaged so talking especially shouting out loud would be painful.
Hori slowly took a deep breath. Her throat aching.
She cleaned the blood from her mouth. Surprised her plan to punch the ground upon impact would work.
'Now...
She faced up the 300 meters high pillar, staring at Thomas.
He flinched as if feeling Hori's gaze from such a large distance.
Thomas was sitting on the pillar he pushed Hori from, his dislocated shoulder was making it difficult to jump to the next pillar which was quite far away and small in size.
Hori was walked towards the base of pillar she fell from.
Her footsteps hazy as her bones were broken.
Tadashi wondered. What was she going to do now? Her time was almost up.
Hori squatted on the ground, control her breathing for a burst of energy. She opened her eyes and jumped 20 meters high!
She then quickly stuck her hand in the pillar before falling back down.
The total height of the pillar was 300 meters, Hori's jump covered 20, left with 280 meters to climb back.
With the rod still in her mouth, she saw it's size was now that of a long candle.
Tadashi cheered, knowing what she was about to do.
Wuwei protested, there was only 3 minutes left.
Ignoring the pain from her broken bones, Hori began to climb.
She gave her self quick pep-talks to maintain her consciousness.
'I can do this!'
She dug her hands into the pillar and pulled her self up higher and higher.
Narrator - Since Hori is thinking of damaging the pillar, her hands get dense, allowing her to effortlessly claw through concrete. like natural climbing gear. However, her time is almost up.....
'One and two and one and two!'
She created a rhythm to keep on going.
She was already crying, her body was aching as pieces of her broken bones tore through her flesh.
It was expected, Hori was climbing the pillar at an astonishing 67.1 miles per hour which is the average high way speed limit.
"So fast! This is incredible for a human civilian!"
Priests in the room were cheering for Hori.
Her pace increased as she got closer and closer to the top.
About 30 seconds passed and Thomas who was massaging his shoulder began hearing a sound.
Like an axe digging stone. It got louder and louder.
He peeped at the edge of the pillar, making sure not to fall.
He began sweating as he saw a black figure covered in blood approaching the top of the pillar at incredible speed.
"....no...it can't be... right?"
He leaned in further to get a better look.
Using both hands, one at a time, Hori was clawing her way to the top.
Most of her bones have already torn through her skin.
Her Sabbath Exams jersey was torn, dirty, and covered in blood but she still kept climbing.
'It hurts!! It's like I'm going to die!!'
She cursed almost reaching the top.
She was very close to the top when her and Thomas locked eyes, Hori's gaze made him wet himself.
He quickly turned and attempted to jump to the next pillar, but was too scared to concentrate.
"Almost there!!"
She finally spoke with blood accompanying her words.
The pain unbearable, but her rage towards Thomas understandable. It gave her the strength she needed.
Thomas finally attempted leaping but stopped for a shoulder tap.
Hori stood, back hunched and her eyes not visible.
She had finally reached the top under with a total time of 1 minute.
Hori was holding Thomas's second shoulder firmly, preventing him from moving.
Not harming him, but the aura exuding from her dared him to move.
"...p... please forgive me.... please, I'm sorry!!"
He tried begging but that wasn't Hori was concerned about.
"....did you say something about a pregnant woman?"
She asked innocently, blood dripping from her mouth as she spoke, her lungs were damaged so talking out loud hurt, but she still spoke.
Pregnant woman? She must have somehow heard Thomas goal in the next trial. But how, the distance was too great for her to hear his words.
"Answer me."
Her grip on his shoulder increased, her fingers sinking inside his flesh like tearing through bread, as blood sloooowwwly poured out.
"Owww!! Ahhhh!!! Fuck!!! I...I didn't say anything about a pregnant woman okay?! Please I'm sorry for pushing you!!"
"You didn't push me, I jumped on my own accord."
She released his shoulder.
Hori casually removed Thomas's own red rod from his pocket, he was to powerless to do anything. She threw it off the pillar to the ground as Thomas did to her.
"That is the only revenge I will be having."
She said, not wasting anytime to wait for hearing his disqualification.
Thomas sat on the floor, his body trembled before Hori.
Hori cleaned her bloody mouth then leaned in, whispering to his ear.
"If you harm Mrs Takane in any way....
She placed her hand on his dislocated shoulder. Her voice lowered to a whisper.
"I will turn you inside out with my own fucking hands."
Thomas sat there in fear almost pissing him self again.
"Your answer?" She dug her fingers in his dislocated shoulder.
"U...understood....!"
He mustered courage to reply.
Hori walked to the edge of the pillar after saying those words.
Thomas sat there in despair, knowing she was fully capable of keeping that promise.
He had already witnessed Hori's strength first hand in their fight, he was nothing to her.
She took a deep breath. Squatting down in a running stance while holding her red rod in her right hand, it was now the size of an ordinary candle.
She jumped from the pillar to the next.
The Priests watching cheered her on.
Hori was constantly jumping from pillar to pillar as if weighing nothing.
Her body had understood the situation, she was almost out of time.
'I still have hope!'
She thought looking at the pillar in front. It was small but still there. She leaped and slightly wobbled. Caught her balance then continued.
40 seconds left.
"I see it!"
She finally sighted the finishing pillar! Its red color was a dead giveaway. Seeing as every other one was black.
It was a pillar much more shorter than the one she was currently standing on.
'Of course it's short, so contestants wouldn't see it easily!'
She thought in annoyance.
She leaned in on the pillar she was now on. Only 3 steps in width.
Hori was about to pass out from pain. Her bones had torn through most of her organs, and the exhaustion from climbing 280 meters in a minute was finally kicking in.
10 seconds left.
Hori channeled every strength left She was determined. But also aware more than anyone else she would pass out any moment from now. Meaning, if she missed or tripped.
Her unconscious body would fall to its death.
5 seconds left.
Hori jumped from her current pillar to the finishing one which was red in color.
She immediately passed out after jumping, giving all her strength to a final leap of faith.
Whilst in the air, her grip on her red rod was loosening. But her unconscious body quickly held it tightly.
3 second left!
Thud
Her body landed on the finishing pillar.
Her red rod then reduced to nothing.
Her eyes closed and her heart beat slow, Hori's body was not moving.
There was a brief silence in the lounge where Bishop number 5 Tadashi Shiba was.
He was about to press the announcer button to signal Hori's disqualification since she appeared dead.
Wuwei held his hand before he could press the button.
A female Hataki quickly rushed to Hori's aid.
She quickly removed her Sabbath Exams uniform and tried pumping her chest.
She was about to give her CPR but felt Hori's breath on her lips.
The Hataki yelled with relief.
"She's alive.... she's alive!!!"
She waved to the sky signalling the announcer.
"All right!!!" All the priests in the lounge yelled in unison!
They were clapped their hands together for such an astonishing young girl.
Tadashi quickly pressed the announcer button.
Surprising all the priests in the lounge, a smile appeared on the Bishops face.
The female Hataki carried Hori on her back, with the chime of a bell, they were suddenly teleported from the large landscape where the first trial took place.
Narrator announced in conclusion.
Narrator - One trial down, six more to go.
