I went in and saw my dad sitting on the left couch, while the DPO is sitting on the right one. They weren't talking; he was busy staring at me. My heart was beating like never before. I dropped to my knees and started crying again.
"I'm sorry, Dad," I said, looking down at the floor.
"Get up, I've forgiven you," he said, not even smiling.
"I will be on my way now," the DPO said, sitting up.
They exchanged greetings and shook hands.
Standing there, I don't know if I should tell him about Quinn. She's still outside waiting for me. The DPO left and he went inside his room.
After a few minutes, I sneaked out and saw Quinn standing outside alone, under the sun. I went back and headed to my father's room. I knocked and opened.
"Dad."
"Yes?"
"Quinn is still standing outside, should I tell her to come in?" I asked.
"Tell her to come and pack her things. I will drop her to her mom's house myself," he replied.
