Aiden lay on the bed, his eyes closed, as his palm twitched.
The sheets clung damp to his skin, sticky with sweat and the faint musk of last night.

The echo wasn't just a voice — it tore through him like thunder in his skull, making his chest jolt. Aiden again jerked, his body lapsing the memories like a dream, but too real, too sharp, as if each word was carved into his bones.
