The first impression the Shichibukai had of Good was that he was young.
This surprised Hancock, Mihawk, and the others.
"I thought it would be some old veteran," Hancock said in a low voice.
But soon everyone realized it was only natural. If he weren't young, how could they have never heard of Good's name after all these years?
"But…"
At this time, Moria hesitated a little.
"Why does he look kind of… dumb?" Moria stammered.
He had originally wanted to say it looked like he had no intelligence, but he was afraid of saying the wrong thing.
But then he remembered—this was the man who had defeated Kaido. That thought alone made him wary.
Still, when he thought about Kaido being captured by the Marines, Moria couldn't help but feel delighted.
After all, he had a deep grudge with Kaido. Back then, in their battle, he had nearly been killed by him.
So now, seeing Kaido captured, his heart felt elated.
He had to admit—Admiral Reckless Maniac had done something that felt incredibly satisfying.
And the others beside him also felt that what Moria said made sense.
Though they thought they shouldn't describe a strong man that way, Good's silly grin and the way he greeted people really did make him look a bit dimwitted.
"Could it be the Marines are exaggerating his feats, giving him credit for everything, just to glorify themselves?"
After all, the way Good stood there smiling foolishly really made them wonder.
At that moment, Mihawk, who had been silent, stepped forward. His expression was stern, showing neither joy nor anger.
"Good!!!"
Saying that, Mihawk walked straight toward him.
The others were taken aback by Mihawk's sudden move, but none of them spoke. They just waited quietly to see what would happen.
Only Blackbeard looked annoyed.
Mihawk said to Good,
"Good, stand down! You're my subordinate as a Shichibukai, replacing Hancock."
Naturally, Sengoku would never let Good spar with Mihawk at such a crucial moment. Right now, dealing with Kaido was of top priority.
But Good became excited instead. "I know you! The world's strongest swordsman, Mihawk!"
As a former anime fan, of course Good recognized Mihawk. After all, he had sacrificed intelligence, not memory.
"You want to spar with me, Mihawk!"
Good accepted cheerfully, completely ignoring Sengoku's reprimand.
Sengoku's eyebrows twitched violently. He knew it—the moment Good heard the word "spar," he'd get all fired up.
"Good!!!" Sengoku gritted his teeth.
But before he could step in, Garp stopped him, chuckling. "Let him be, Sengoku!
"After all, anyone who could defeat Kaido should be more than capable."
Hearing his old friend say that, Sengoku could only sigh helplessly.
Good grinned. "Mihawk, what should we spar with? How about swords?"
During his fight with Shiki, Good had seized the two-sword style, though it hadn't improved much at the time.
But now, combined with his strength, Devil Fruit powers, and Haki, even a two-sword style wielded by him could be pushed to the top level.
Mihawk was a little surprised, but quickly understood what Good meant.
Meanwhile, the Marines around them grew even more excited upon hearing that Good was about to spar in swordsmanship with the world's greatest swordsman.
If Good won, he would replace Mihawk as the world's number one swordsman!
"The world's strongest swordsman wants to spar with Admiral Reckless Maniac?"
"What's he planning?"
"Haha, this is gonna be fun!"
"Fun? Admiral Reckless Maniac defeated Whitebeard and captured Kaido. That's no joke!"
"True, true!!"
The Marine soldiers talked amongst themselves, excitement growing.
Some felt Mihawk wasn't worthy to spar with Good.
After all, every Marine carried hot blood in their veins, and many of them just wanted to see Good fight.
Very few had actually witnessed his battles, most of them being only vice admirals at best.
Most soldiers here had never truly seen him in action.
