Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – Reckless From the Moment He Sees Shiki!

Sengoku couldn't help overthinking it—after all, he was the Fleet Admiral, and being cautious was part of the job.

No, this won't do! Someone has to accompany Good. Someone to stop him from doing anything too stupid.

Without showing anything on his face, Sengoku scanned the people before him. Eventually, his eyes landed on Gion—Momousagi.

The logic was simple: most of the people present were veterans. Even those who weren't had served for close to ten years. Compared to them, Good lacked seniority, which might lead to clashes—especially with those unwilling to acknowledge his authority. That could create more problems than it solved.

As for Coby and Helmeppo, while they made decent subordinates, their experience was far too shallow. Their status was also too low—they'd have no authority whatsoever in front of an Admiral like Good.

That left Momousagi as the best choice.

She was a Vice Admiral candidate—highly qualified, intelligent, and, notably, a beautiful woman. Good would probably listen to her, if only out of face.

Having decided, Sengoku spoke firmly. "Momousagi, you'll go with Good on the escort mission for Shiki."

Naturally, he didn't mention his true motive, instead giving a simple excuse: "To ensure Shiki doesn't get out of control—you'll help contain him."

Suddenly being called out, Momousagi blinked her bright eyes in surprise.

Going on a mission with Admiral Good?

She turned to look at him. Over two meters tall, with a strong and imposing build. But unlike other Admirals, Good was quite handsome. His appearance gave off a strangely favorable first impression.

Still, his behavior just now made him seem… well… dumb.

But as a Marine, Momousagi didn't care much about that. What caught her attention was the recent rumor: a few days ago, Admiral Good had sparred with Admiral Akainu—and won.

That made her genuinely curious.

It was said that, like Vice Admiral Garp, Good was a master of hand-to-hand combat.

Without hesitation, Momousagi replied, "Understood, Fleet Admiral!"

Soon after, everyone received their orders and departed.

Whenever an Admiral was dispatched, they were provided with a massive warship—one uniquely theirs.

On the sail of Good's personal ship was not just the Marine emblem, but a huge, bold character: "莽" (Reckless Maniac). A declaration to the world of who commanded the vessel.

The great battleship cut through the sea, passing through the Gates of Justice.

At the prow stood Good, proudly facing the sea breeze, laughing heartily.

He felt like a king surveying the world, and that giant "莽" on the sail? Too cool.

It screamed personality.

And so, Good remained at the front of the ship, refusing to move. The sight left Momousagi slightly speechless.

What… is Admiral Good even doing?

Did he just lose it?

Just then, the Den Den Mushi began to ring: "Bilibili... bilibili..."

Momousagi raised an eyebrow at the sound and quickly answered. When she hung up, her expression was grave.

She leapt forward, skipping walking altogether, and called out to Good, "Reck—Admiral Good!"

Still enjoying the sea breeze, Good smiled brightly. "What's up?"

Momousagi ignored how absurd he was acting and quickly reported, "There's been an incident at the branch responsible for Shiki's escort."

"Shiki woke up and started going wild. Several Vice Admirals are injured and won't last much longer!"

She expected Good to become serious—but instead, he lit up with excitement. "Shiki's awake?!"

"Perfect! Let's go beat him up!"

Good's thought process was simple: if Shiki was awake, that meant he could fight him. And if he could fight him, that meant he could copy his abilities.

Shiki's Devil Fruit was the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi (Float-Float Fruit). If Good got his template, he'd learn to fly!

And once he had the Float-Float Fruit, he'd effectively wield the powers of two Devil Fruits—he could even try fusing them!

Beside him, Momousagi: Uh...

She suddenly felt a wave of exhaustion.

Watching Good's eager expression, her heart grew uneasy. Something about this felt incredibly unstable.

She had the sinking feeling things were about to go way off-script.

Still, now wasn't the time for hesitation. The branch didn't have an Admiral stationed there, and the Vice Admirals couldn't hold off an old-era monster like Shiki for long.

So Momousagi quickly gave the order: full speed ahead!

The massive warship dropped every sail, charging toward the location of the branch vessels.

Marine warships were specially modified—designed and improved by Dr. Vegapunk—so their speed was exceptional.

Within minutes, Good, Momousagi, and the crew spotted the branch's fleet in the distance.

For Shiki's escort, they'd deployed two massive warships and four escort ships.

Four Vice Admirals were in charge of the operation.

This lineup showed just how seriously they took Shiki—and how dangerous he really was.

Yet at this very moment, one of the massive warships was already billowing black smoke, taking on water fast. The ship was slowly sinking.

On the other warship, the four Vice Admirals were barely holding off Shiki. All of them were injured—and not just scrapes. One had even lost an arm.

Momousagi's eyes narrowed. She hadn't expected Shiki to be this powerful.

Four Vice Admirals couldn't hold him off… He truly was a force of the old era.

"Admiral Good, we should get in close and plan carefully. Shiki's Float-Float Fruit gives him a huge advantage at sea."

Others needed solid ground to fight properly—but not Shiki. He could fight freely over the water, making him dangerous. Momousagi wanted to be cautious and come up with a strategy.

But before she could finish, Good burst out laughing. "No need! Just hit him head-on!"

"I've fully recovered and I'm ready to go!"

As he spoke, power surged beneath his feet, crushing the sturdy deck and sending splinters flying.

"Admiral Good!" Momousagi shouted.

She hadn't expected him to charge without thinking. She wanted to stop him, but by then, Good had already launched like a cannonball.

Momousagi sighed, then quickly gave orders for the ship to move closer and for Marines to rescue the wounded, while she herself would assist Admiral Good in taking on Shiki.

In the sky, Good roared as he flew through the air. "Shikiiii! I'm coming for you!!"

On deck, Shiki had just been about to finish off the four Vice Admirals when he heard the shout. He looked up—

And saw Good's massive figure hurtling down toward him, fist drawn back and coated in Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki).
