"Did you just…"
I didn't want to believe it, but the throb in my cheek told me otherwise.
She crossed her arms and glared at me. "Who do you think you are, sauntering over here like you own the place?"
Her eyes narrowed in contempt as she stepped closer. "There is only going to be one Mrs. Brown and that's—."
I swung my fist hitting her across her cheek. She gasped and clutched her jaw in horror.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did that hurt?" I taunted.
"You bitch," she spat, swinging her arm towards me.
I grabbed her arm easily and dug my nails into her pale skin. "Listen here, Lindsay," I growled.
"Ow, ow…Ow!" she yelped in pain as I dug my nails deeper.
"Because of you, my mom is lying in a coma" I said.
"S-She is?" she looked surprised. But I wasn't falling for it.
"You told her my wedding was called off, what did you think was going to happen?" I asked.
She tapped her arm. "You're hurting me."
I let her go, pushing her away.
