The scenery around him changed as the world around Nicholas turned black, then green line stretched out and started stretching them self as far as they could.
Then as he felt something the radar covered he started moving.
Not long after he got to the place he saw a large barrier place over the terrain

Then he saw the other side of barrier through the now transparent barrier.

Opening his eyes he was already on the inner part of the barrier.
Although he had no business whatsoever inside he had to check out the devourers energy.
Above his head was a small floating island, while glaring at it he then heard some noise.

This looks like an ambush but I know that man looks familiar.
As the fight continued until the cultist was killed but then came a bald man the same rank stepped forward.
With the ambushed side injuries and a fresh enemy the situation was growing tense.
Then the lead escort the looked at the car with the window winding down

Seeing the emergency of someone unknown, Desales stayed sharp ready to strike should any of them move a single muscle.

As he came back to his senses he had personally taken down his own subordinates.
He then started to panic, as not only had he failed to capture his target, he had also wasted the resources giving to him and no surbordinate to return back.

With him both under panic and anger, he reasoning was then becoming clouded.

Desales was an enhancer who was lucky enough to awake an innate skill called focal point.
It allows it holder to make serious and impossible moves while standing on a spot and negates an damage gotten during action provided it is lower than the holder rank.
But the downside was it required some time to activate.
Luckily Nicholas bought some time allowing him to activate it leading to the situation.

Soon find himself in a predicament as both were on the opposite side of him, if he attacked one the other would retaliate.
Making up his mind he decided to take down Nicholas.
As he moved towards him Desales sent a few slashed towards his back but he endured through it.
As he stretched out his hand to grab Nick, he suddenly disappeared, shine wondering where he went suddenly felt a pain on his head.
The cause was Nick glove free hand infused with enough lightning to give a shock slapped his head.
While trying to recover he stretched a free hand to grab Nick, he wasn't within reach again,got another smack from a vulnerable side.
Seeing through Nick idea, Desales sent a strike after every slap.
Both of them continued assaulting shine until he was in a too damaged state.
As Desales tried to give the finishing blow,
Something crash on top of the injured shine.
As the dust settled shine layed on the floor battered and into of him was someone wearing a full metal body amour.
Looking down he said, looking like if you want something done right you have to do it yourself
