Dorian said as a smile appeared on his lips. "What do you think?"
"I'm so sorry, but I don't need your help" Estelle finally said, her voice firm even though her chest was still unsteady. Without waiting for his reply, she turned and walked out of the room.
Dorian leaned back into the couch, watching the sway of her figure until the door closed behind her. A smile still lingered on his lips, as if her rejection hadn't touched him in the least.
Minutes later, the door was pushed open again. Kaelith walked in, his hands in his pockets and his eyes gleaming with mischief. "What did she say? Did she agree to marry you?"
Dorian didn't bother to answer. He just reached for the cigarette pack on the table, tapped one out, and lit it slowly.
