'Let's go.' Shinobu commanded, her hands clenched into fists. She was in her lab, completely prepared. She didn't knew what type of monsters she would encounter first but she knew one thing, her usual fighting method won't work. Wisteria flowers worked as it is poisonous only to demons and she wasn't sure if the monsters she was about to fight were demons.
So she took some other poisons, some sharp tools and memory of Kenji's peacefully sleeping face. She had also put do not disturb sign outside the door of her lab.

An door appeared infront of her, it was just like a normal sliding door but she didn't even flinch when an door appeared out of nowhere infront of her. It was System's doing and she knew it.
Sliding open the door, she couldn't see anything inside except for a white screen like light. It was blinding but she steps inside and the door behind her disappeared. Everything slowly started to cool down, her vision which had initially become blurry now turned more clear.
Everything was just grass. Endless amount of grass, there was no sun but everything was bright like it is on the brightest day in noon. Wind was flowing with force that made her haori sway in air wildly. The oxygen here was much more richer and purer though she knew it would be harmful for her to remain here long.
Just as she was admiring the scenery, an sudden shadow flickered from the ground beneath. She obviously dodged pretty easily, drawing her sword.

Shinobu dashes at her target, an air slime, at blinding speeds and uses the momentum of her speed to strengthen a single thrust into her opponent. Injecting the slime with poison and the slime just...exploded into a sudden gust of air.
She was confused but system soon came to soothe her doubts.

Just as system stopped informing and shinobu registered it, an slime was already infront of her face, ready to hit if shinobu weren't to dodge.
Shinobu dodged barely this time, not because the slime was faster but because it appeared out of nowhere. She couldn't even sense it because the wind here was making any sound caused by slimes movement to vanish.
But that was not the end of it, multiple slimes launched themselves onto shinobu. Defeating them one by one would have been easy but defeating them all at once? It would be freaking difficult.
20 slimes defeated
None of the slimes dropped anything, not even an lowest level item. She didn't feel any exhaustion yet, continuing to fight and kill though she were using a lot of poison.
45 slime defeated.
Her poison ended, her breathing was a bit rapid but she wasn't done now. This was just the middle part, more remaining.
70 slimes defeated.
She suffered an hit on her stomach from one of the slimes, her movements were slow now. Indicating her increasing exhaustion though there was an good news, she got two drops now. Both item.
99 slime defeated.
She was on ground, kneeling. Breathing heavily while sweat dripped from forehead, her uniform already drenched. These were supposed to be the weakest monsters but number was an advantage.
This was exactly what she was envious of. Her lack of physical capabilities, if it were any other hashira they would've barely broke a sweat because they had the stamina and body strong enough to withstand it. Her? She always preferred to immobilize her enemies, torture them and then kill them.
It didn't require her to do as much as work she needed to do now. Not to mention the lack of poison, her poison ended and it became even difficult. But she got three drops. Two items and one core.
Though she was gasping for breath, her face had an triumph smile. Something she rarely had, her anger for demons not forgotten but buried deep under. She was going to get stronger, kill the demons and avenge her sister.
For that she needed to grow stronger and not rely on the method of poisoning herself. She had considered inducing herself with wisteria poison everyday to get the physique of poison physiology but was delaying it whenever she thought of Kenji.
He was so naive, never doubting any word she said, always so trustful. Thinking of leaving him alone to himself was like telling a infant to go earn money. Weird comparison but that's all her current exhausted brain could come up.
She picks up the two items and the core.

"Oh~ this looks interesting, What is this?" Her smile returned, though fake but it was there. To prove to herself that she could be like her big sister even in moments like this.
[It's an Slime. You just need to put a drop of your blood on it and you'll be able to control it. At will, completely. It can absorb stuff and get bigger.]
This'll be useful in cleaning things like her sword or some boxes. Another convenient thing. She puts it in her haori pocket, she'll do the blood ritual back at lab.
She looks at the other object, it was something similar to water once again just the colour of it was green. "Wow~ it looks like an really bitter medicine, What's this?"
[It's an healing potion, once consuming this all the exhaustion that someone feels will be erased. Any injury will be healed just not lost limb or lost organ.]
This was just a freaking cheat code, for a doctor like her things like this could eat her carrier and all knowledge she had gained till now would be useless. She could drink this now and be energized again. But then she stopped, does she need to gulp down the whole thing or a drop is sufficient..
The system gave no response so she takes out one drop on her fingertip, it was cool and puts it into her mouth. It tasted like..sweet. Though she felt nothing for few seconds but then, the burn disappeared and lost breath returned. "So even a drop is sufficient, my my~ this could be useful when having some moments with my little butterfly." She places it in her haori pocket, tucking it in safely.
That was the first thought she had...no, wait it was the second thought. Kenji is always her first thought.
Then she looks at the core, what could it be? Something very strong? Something weak? She breaks the ore like instructed and surprisingly it broke easily. Like a piece of coal.

[Objective - Defeat the group of air slimes.
Rewards - An growth pill + 20% Increase in your strength + Title of 'Slime killer']
Growth pill - Consuming this, your growth will increase by 10%. You need to consume atleast half of it. It will only work on you once, consuming half once and then consuming half later would not give you 20% growth boost. It'll be 10%. Either consume it fully or just half.
Slime killer - Slimes will feel intimidated in your presence, your attacks will be 200% stronger while fighting against slimes.
She takes the growth pill, only half of it though. It had the same effect as it was written. The other half is for future uses.
Healing potion, an weird ability, slime, Growth pill and a title. The best one was that 20% increase in her strength, strength is something she needed. 20% increase in strength and not to mention the progress she made by defeating the slimes.
If she had to say, her overall power increased by 15%.
