"Walk"
Inumaki Toge's steps were heavy as he left the practical exam arena, the noise of the students behind him fading little by little until the quiet hallways of the building swallowed him. His heart beat slowly as he approached the restroom.
He opened the restroom door slowly, met by cold silence and the sharp scent of cleaning agents. He walked toward the sink, his hand wiping away the blood that had flowed from his fist after punching Mineta. But suddenly, he felt a pressure in his stomach, his body bending forward slightly, and—
"Gghhh…!"
His shoulders hunched as he vomited a large amount of blood into the sink, its crimson color swirling in the water before slipping down the drain, leaving a faint stain. He gripped the edge of the sink tightly, his breaths ragged, veins protruding along the side of his neck.
Slowly, he lifted his head to look at the mirror before him. The reflection was sharp:
A boy with pale skin, violet eyes filled with silent mystery, and dull silver hair falling lightly to either side of his face. His gaze was sharp yet cold, his lips curved in a calm line, and in his memory, his voice whispered the words that bound cursed energy. Around his neck, a long scarf wrapped partially over his mouth, granting him an aura both enigmatic and dangerous.
This was Inumaki Toge—the boy everyone in the jujutsu world knew as "the Cursed Speech user."
He didn't stare at the mirror for long before a sharp metallic voice rang inside his head:
[System Alert]: Remaining Cursed Energy — 6%
Warning: Excessive use may lead to internal bleeding and vocal cord damage.
Domain Expansion: Locked
"Why is Domain Expansion locked?" Inumaki asked in surprise.
[The host must develop their cursed energy skill to at least 40% to use it. The strength of your domain will increase as your cursed energy grows.]
"Hmmm…" Inumaki thought before looking at the crimson blood in the sink.
"It seems to have the same side effects as in the anime," Inumaki thought.
He turned on the faucet, washing the blood from his hands and face as the cold water splashed over his skin.
While the cold water trickled down his face, Inumaki felt a strange vibration in his head. Suddenly, a translucent blue flash appeared before his eyes, projecting a semi-3D system window.
[System Notification]
– "Cursed Speech" skill increased by +1%
Current rate: 7%
He raised an eyebrow slightly; his expression remained cold, but inside, he read the lines carefully. Not a second passed before another line appeared, glowing in bright red:
Warning: Skill cannot be used for 7 days
Reason: Severe side effects (internal bleeding – vocal cord strain – reduced cursed energy)
The notification didn't stop there—the system added another line that made Inumaki's features tighten:
Important Note:
The skill can only be activated against an opponent equal to or weaker than you in strength.
Attempting to use it on a stronger opponent may cause severe internal injuries to the host.
He stared at the words for a few seconds, then closed the window with a small hand gesture. Letting out a slow sigh, he washed his face again with cold water—but this time, his eyes were sharper, as if his mind was already rearranging his priorities.
"Equal or weaker…" he muttered quietly, the echo of his words vanishing between the restroom walls.
Now he understood why he had vomited blood.
If this rule was true, it meant that any wrong move could mean his end.
Tightening his scarf firmly around his neck, he left the restroom with steady steps, heading toward the written exam hall.
Now, after leaving the restroom, Inumaki made his way to the written exam hall, where events began to intertwine with those of "My Hero Academia."
With calm, steady steps, Inumaki Toge walked through the school corridors, ignoring the bustling crowds of students heading toward their exam rooms. His mind was occupied with analyzing the new information he had received. "Equal or weaker…" The words echoed in his head like a stern warning. If that was the requirement for strength, then he had to develop his cursed energy to face stronger opponents without risking his life.
He reached the written exam hall, a large room packed with desks and students. He found his seat in a quiet spot at the back and sat down silently, relaxing as a few students glanced at him curiously.
When the exam began, papers were distributed, and the students started writing. The test included questions on the basic laws of the hero society, the history of heroes, and theoretical questions on the use of abilities and their effects. Inumaki didn't find the questions particularly difficult; his knowledge of jujutsu and cursed energy was enough to help him answer most questions that required an understanding of supernatural powers.
While writing, Inumaki noticed some familiar faces. He saw Midoriya Izuku sitting up front, scribbling with intense focus. Nearby sat Bakugo Katsuki, writing quickly and aggressively. The hall was quiet except for the sound of pens scratching on paper.
The written exam ended, and the teachers collected the papers.
The hero's picture is in the first comment. The novel's picture and the picture in the comments will be changed. Of course, if you don't like it, I can continue with the current picture.
