This sunrise, this horizon that you are witnessing Yumi, I wish I could tell you that it's all a lie. This isn't the destination, but the bridge that you are going to cross in your journey. This sunrise marks the beginning of your journey into this distorted world. I am a mere wanderer, a nomad that you've had an encounter with at the start. It's like inoculum for curd. Hah... I wish I could tell you that I'm not just Death, but rather.. nevermind. It's time for me to leave now anyways. It's getting late... Farewell, Yumi. I hope you don't suffer too much.
And so, Death vanishes into the thin air, now moving far away from that field of long grass.

DEATH TOWERS, Dead Lane
BUILDING 1
Hah .. it's too early to go do work. I want to rest more.. Death thought to himself as he appeared in front of the building. The thought of Yumi still lingered in his head, and considering how suddenly he'd left her all alone on the Forward Bridge, it'd have been too inhuman to not have been worried about her. But wasn't he not supposed to care? Doesn't matter.
Death entered the building, and everyone in the lobby of the building stood up to salute. After all, it had been quite a while since God of Death had gone to check the work that went on in Dead Lane.
He took his separate elevator and went to the 100th floor, his office was there after all. He entered the office, his secretary's desk at the left. She greeted him. It was all so silent, so he coughed.
Cough. "Good afternoon, Sir. You've come after 45 days." Selora. That's the name that had been allotted to her.
"Good afternoon, Selora. How has work been going on while I was gone?"
"It's been alright. We have 500,000 new cases in miscellaneous or self deaths. Two people were let off on the account of mismanagement of cases. Thirty people were hired in the our new residential office at Lucid dreams sector."
She moved closer and sat down on his desk. "Goddess of Fortune had visited. She said she'd got important information for you... And.. I missed you." She smiled in a charming manner.
She was certainly beautiful. A grace, elegant features. She sweet, delightful to talk to, sophisticated, dedicated to work and him. A bit thin, always properly dressed in that suit, straight long hair.Death's right hand man.. his darling.
She went on to sit in his lap. "Where did you go, darling?" She asked in a sweet voice.
"To check out an anomaly."
"Anomaly? But there have been no registered case of anomaly..."
"Yes, that's correct."
"Then...?"
"I didn't get it registered. It happened while I was going around the Mortal Realm."
Great, now she's angry.
"WHY WOULD YOU GO THERE?! Lady Fortune strictly warned you not to go there! She said that you'd find the one who-"
"I KNOW WHAT SHE SAID. AND I WENT THERE TO CHECK THE ANOMALY OUT. THAT'S ALL." Silence. There was irritation, even anger, in his eyes.
"I'm sorry." She spoke in a soft tone.
"It doesn't matter..." He sighed and pushed her off, standing up. "It was a waste of time, and besides I was looking into those new therapeutic shops that had opened up recently. I only checked out the anomaly a few few days ago and the anomaly is virtually powerless.." .. for now. Considering her past and her soul, she definitely doesn't belong up . She needs to be thrown away into the flames but what's more concerning is why couldn't I remove her from the transfer zone... She didn't even seem to have an idea..
"Fortune was looking for me, right?" Death looked back at Selora as he walked across the room.
"Yes, but-"
Slam. The door shut behind him as he walked out of the room. He took out his phone and called the Goddess of Fortune.

FORTUNE PAVILLION
Wind chimes and bells rang softly in the background. Sakura blossoms fell from the touch of the soft breeze in the air. And Lady Fortune or Goddess of Fortune, lay on her comfortably on her bed, until of course, it was all interrupted by a phone call .
"Moshi moshiii~! Helloooo~!" She spoke softly over then phone.
"I met the Anomaly." Death spoke quietly.
"Oh.." she snickered. "So you decided to check out who will destroy you."
"You prophecised wrong. The girl is powerless. She can barely do anything."
"But you couldn't send her to the heavens or hells, could you? Ultimately... She didn't leave."
"That was the strange part of it all. How can one simply go against my power? I tried so much, I tried to use every gate, any dream or nightmare to flow her into hell but it didn't work... Mizuki, I'm worried."
Fortune (Mizuki) got up. "Death, let's meet."
