"Sign it," I repeated, my voice getting harsher.
Her forest green eyes met mine—not broken, not pleading, but blazing with a fury. Even drugged, even powerless, Seraphina Ashford refused to bow.
Damn stubborn woman!
When she didn't move, I wrapped my fingers around hers. Her skin felt warm against mine, and I ignored the way Blake stirred restlessly at the contact. I guided her trembling hand toward the paper, feeling the fine tremor of her resistance.
"Go to hell, Adrian." Her voice was hoarse but fierce, the first real words she'd spoken since I'd damn near killed her. "You think forcing me to sign this makes me yours? You think I'll ever submit to you?"
The sound of my name on her lips sent electricity down my spine. My vision darkened for a heartbeat as something primal and possessive roared to life in my chest. I wanted to hear it again—whispered, screamed, gasped against my skin.
Dammit! Why the hell was I getting turned on?
