Walking on calm water is a stark contrast to walking on turbulent water.
Sakura had gradually mastered the skill of walking on calm water, but when Naruto interfered, everything changed.
Thump!
Thump!
Thump!
Over and over, Sakura found herself starting her journey of falling into the water anew.
With each fall, her hair splayed out and her clothes became disheveled. The sensation was cold, then hot, making her feel dizzy and uncomfortable.
Considering her temperament, she should have given up long ago or complained loudly.
However, the peculiar aspect of the situation was that after Naruto's involvement and his subsequent explanation, Sakura remained eerily silent.
Her teeth were clenched, and she endured the falls without uttering a word.
This almost masochistic practice dramatically improved Sakura's Chakra control.
Now, she could stand firmly on the water, provided the fluctuations weren't too severe.
That's to say, Naruto had no intention of letting her pass easily. He manipulated the water's fluctuations, making them larger and smaller, occasionally violent.
Yet Sakura persisted without complaint, which slightly embarrassed Naruto.
"Continue!"
Sakura climbed out of the water and silently approached the hot spring pool once more.
"Take a rest!" Naruto finally said, noticing that her condition was worsening.
Repeatedly plunging into hot water and then being exposed to the cool air outside had taken a toll on her body.
Fortunately, Naruto's Healing Jutsu, granted by the system at the level of Grandmaster, could fix her condition swiftly.
While primarily for healing injuries, it could also treat illnesses, though not as effectively.
Naruto suggested she rest to avoid her condition deteriorating further.
As Sakura was about to protest, she fainted and fell into the water again.
Naruto swiftly avoided her and caught her before she could hit the ground.
Upon examination, he found her body temperature significantly higher than normal, confirming she had a fever.
Naruto couldn't help but shake his head in amazement at Sakura's resilience.
He brought her to a nearby rock and used Healing Jutsu to treat her.
After her fever broke and she was stable, he used Wind Style Chakra to dry her clothes.
Sakura woke up, looking much better, though still a bit pale.
"What happened to me?" She sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"You just had a fever and fainted, but it's alright now," Naruto assured her with a smile.
"Naruto!" Sakura's eyes searched his, a hint of doubt in her voice. "Did you heal me? Can medical ninjutsu do such a thing?"
Her fever had disappeared almost instantaneously, which was unheard of.
"Medical ninjutsu is indeed powerful," Naruto replied calmly. "It can control life and death to an extent. With high proficiency, one can regenerate limbs and even resurrect the deceased."
"Can it really go that far?" Sakura's eyes widened in shock.
Naruto nodded. "It's possible, but it requires an immense amount of Chakra and is extremely challenging. There have been a few in ninja history who could achieve this, but at a tremendous cost."
"But if you truly master profound medical skills, you could likely do it by just expending Chakra."
Restoring a severed limb is relatively straightforward. It's analogous to when Neji's chest was pierced by Kidomaru's attack in the original story. Shizune used Neji's hair to generate cellular tissue to fill the void.
Resurrecting the dead is akin to Chiyo's technique.
Chiyo used her reincarnation technique to purge Sakura of the poison, expending a portion of her life force.
If there is an adequate amount of chakra, vitality can be fully restored.
Therefore, reviving a deceased person merely requires a substantial quantity of life force or chakra.
Both of these are essentially in abundance for Naruto.
If he were to perform resurrection, there should be no necessity to trade one life for another.
"It's incredible!" Sakura sighed, her expression growing more resolute.
She must acquire advanced medical skills!
Naruto glanced at her and inquired gently, "Why are you pushing yourself so hard all of a sudden? Even in the past, though you might have worked hard, you wouldn't be to the point of collapsing into a coma with a fever and still refuse to quit."
Sakura's eyes glazed over briefly before she replied, puzzled, "To be honest, I don't know why. I just wanted to finish this practice as soon as possible. I didn't consider anything else at all."
It isn't that Sakura is desperately clinging to life; she's just as perplexed.
But there is one thing she omitted: this situation only arises when Naruto is present.
Sakura has observed that Naruto possesses a very unique disposition.
As long as he is by her side, she feels at ease and can cast aside all psychological restraints.
This holds true even during practice sessions; she merely wishes to complete the tasks assigned by him without fail.
Naruto shrugged indifferently, saying, "You've done exceptionally well today, and your progress has surpassed my expectations. With a few more days of practice, you'll be able to walk on the ground and be considered a competent ninja."
"A competent ninja?" Sakura echoed, feeling somewhat disheartened. "So, I still haven't reached the level of a medical ninja?"
"No," Naruto corrected her. "It's not that you haven't met the requirements of a medical ninja, it's that you haven't yet achieved the standard of a medical master."
"Medical master?" Sakura was confused. "What does that entail?"
Naruto elaborated: "A medical master refers to someone who can cure any patient in the ninja world. Regardless of the injury or illness, they can handle it with ease!"
"Though Tsunade is also known as the Medical Master, there are still things she cannot do. And my aspiration for you is to become an even stronger Medical Master than she is."
"Tsunade..." Sakura's eyes narrowed slightly.
Despite being born a commoner, she had heard of Tsunade, who was revered as the strongest female ninja.
Though she had never entertained such lofty ambitions, upon hearing Naruto's words, she was genuinely taken aback.
Rather than questioning if she could achieve this, she inquired, "Naruto, why are you helping me in this way? Even if we are teammates, isn't this beyond what we could normally do together?"
Is it because the things one cannot obtain will always stir up trouble?
Is Naruto attempting to win her heart from childhood in this manner?
Though she knew that Naruto had feelings for her in the past, wouldn't he end up with Hinata in the future?
