Naruto grinned and warned Sakura, "The temperature of the hot spring pool is really high. If you don't control your chakra well and slip, you'll get burned. When you get out, you'll have water on your body and if the wind hits you, it'll feel freezing cold."
"This feeling of alternating hot and cold is quite unpleasant. It'll make you want to master treading water as soon as possible."
Naruto's explanation made sense to Sakura, and she quickly accepted it. However, she was unaware that this was just an excuse he had made up on the spot.
If they were outdoors, Sakura would have been more cautious not to fall in, considering the possibility of others seeing her. But here, with only Naruto present, she felt less inhibited.
As a young boy, Naruto wasn't too eager to push the issue, so he ignored her initial hesitation and allowed her to try gradually.
Sakura gingerly placed one foot on the water's surface, then used her chakra to feel the water's flow.
Naruto ignored her cautious approach and let her experiment at her own pace.
"It's my turn, it's my turn!" Ino exclaimed impatiently.
Before Sakura could even finish, Ino rushed over and grabbed Naruto's arm.
"Let me explain something first," Ino said without any shame, "even though you are the Seventh Hokage, I practice the secret arts of the Yamanaka clan. You should know that, right?"
Naruto nodded and smiled to show he understood.
"Then how are you going to help me train?" Ino inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"No matter what system you practice, the foundation is the most crucial,"
Naruto said: "I know a bit about the Yamanaka clan's secret techniques, which rely heavily on spiritual energy. So, what I want to help you with is enhancing your spiritual energy and controlling it."
Surprise flickered across Ino's face, and she grew a bit more serious.
The Yamanaka clan indeed had their own spiritual training, but it involved tedious meditation that Ino never enjoyed. If Naruto offered a more engaging method, she'd be happy to try it, even if it were less effective.
"Don't worry, I won't disappoint you,"
Naruto assured her, smiling: "For the next while, I'll cast genjutsu on you. All you need to do is break it."
"You know how to use illusions?" Ino's eyes widened in surprise.
"After all, I'm a Hokage," Naruto said with a shrug, "I have to know a little about everything."
In reality, he had never formally studied illusions. However, as Hokage, he had some knowledge of genjutsu. Last night, he received a boost to his Yin Escape Chakra, allowing him to create simple illusions using just his mental energy.
"Hmph, the Yamanaka clan's resistance to illusions is very high. If you only know a little, don't blame me if you make a fool of yourself," Ino said confidently.
But she didn't object. It was all just a game to her.
"Alright, when you're ready, I'll start!"
Naruto didn't form any hand seals. He merely stared at her, projecting his mental energy into her gaze.
By manipulating her mental energy, he influenced her brain's functioning.
Ino felt her head spin, but when she took a closer look, she noticed that her surroundings hadn't changed.
Naruto remained in the same pose, and Sakura was still practicing nearby.
"You don't want to tell me the genjutsu failed, do you?" Ino said with a laugh.
But Naruto didn't acknowledge her words. He turned and walked over to Sakura.
"Okay Sakura, take a break for a moment," he said.
"What's wrong?" Sakura asked, turning around in confusion. "Huh? Where's Ino?"
"Oh, she said she had to leave early," Naruto replied casually. "It's just the two of us now."
"What are you talking about?" Ino exclaimed, catching up to them. "Can't you see me standing here? This is ridiculous!"
Before Ino could get any closer, she was taken aback by Sakura's sudden cheerfulness. "That's great," Sakura exclaimed, then she leapfrogged into Naruto's arms and kissed him.
The pair embraced each other as if they were the only ones present, growing increasingly lost in the moment.
Ino was utterly perplexed. What was happening?
As she pondered, she watched the unbelievable scene unfold.
Sakura finally spoke, panting and leaning her head against Naruto. "That girl Ino is really clingy. She wastes so much time."
"Don't worry, it's still early," Naruto assured her with a smile. "We have plenty of time."
"That's right!" Sakura beamed. "Let's go to the hot spring first."
They both began to help each other undress, and Ino watched in shock as they entered the hot spring pool together.
The sight was too much for Ino. She felt both shy and uncomfortable. The sounds of their intimate moments made her blush even deeper.
"Ahh!" she screamed, covering her eyes in a mix of embarrassment and disbelief.
Naruto and Sakura remained unfazed by Ino's outburst. They carried on without a glance in her direction.
As Ino called for them to stop, she peeked through her fingers and saw something she couldn't bear to watch.
"You two are definitely teasing me on purpose!" she yelled, her voice filled with grief and anger.
But her protests were in vain. The couple in the spring paid her no mind.
"Assholes," Ino muttered, her voice shaking with emotion. "You two are such jerks!"
The scene was too much for Ino, and she felt utterly humiliated.
