Chapter 27 - 27

"Giant Rasenshuriken!"

Someone once said that war is when one mother's child crosses a thousand miles… just to kill another mother's child.

It sounds tragic.

But when you're thrown into it with no choice, choosing to survive by killing your enemy is not wrong.

Mitsuki had never believed that war was just or noble. He felt some regret for the Suna-nin who might die by his hands today… But that didn't mean he would show mercy.

"Next time, don't be born in this world" Mitsuki muttered sincerely.

A massive, blindingly radiant Giant Rasenshuriken erupted from his hand like a wild stallion loosed from its reins.

With overwhelming force and momentum, it shot toward the thick, reinforced wall of the supply depot!

Despite how solid it looked, the wall stood no chance.

There was a deafening boom as it shattered into rubble, debris flying everywhere, smoke rising thick in the air.

But the Rasenshuriken didn't stop — it kept tearing forward like an unstoppable divine blade.

Suna's carefully constructed barrier formation was ripped apart in an instant, shredded like paper before the Rasenshuriken's power.

The chakra array collapsed, and a wave of invisible energy pulsed outward like a ripple.

For a moment, time froze.

Everyone inside the warehouse stared wide-eyed, in total disbelief.

Where the hell had this thing come from?

Under Mitsuki's Six Eyes observation, the Rasenshuriken reached the very center of the depot in a flash. With one hand raised, fingers in a sword hand seal, Mitsuki uttered a low command:

"Explode."

The explosion radius of the Giant Rasenshuriken easily engulfed the entire massive warehouse—and it was still expanding.

Compared to the regular Rasenshuriken, this version was bigger, stronger, and far more devastating.

Seeing the oncoming wave of blue light, Minato's danger instincts flared. He immediately placed a hand on Mitsuki's shoulder and used the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to teleport to the next marked location.

Minato had placed that kunai earlier after getting some intel about Mitsuki's abilities from Tsunade. He'd roughly calculated the blast range and location—just in case.

He hadn't expected Mitsuki to whip out a super-charged Rasenshuriken, though. Still, it didn't affect the mission.

Elsewhere, Suna-nin who had rushed to the area upon hearing the explosion were now watching in shock, fear, and anger.

The glowing blue orb gradually faded—revealing nothing but a crater over 100 meters wide. It was as if the supply depot had never existed.

Which made sense—under the microscopic cellular-level shredding effect of the Giant Rasenshuriken, nothing could survive. Not people, not supplies—not even smoke.

"No damage if there's no debris"? Yeah, not here.

The Suna-nin stationed at this base would never forget this day. For them, the nightmare had just begun.

Who was the enemy?No idea.

How did the enemy move?Still no clue.

How many enemies were there?Unknown.

The entire Suna base buzzed with a strange, unnatural vibration that made people's skin crawl. The intruder was so fast that the stationed shinobi could barely register movement.

Inside the command post, the leader of the Suna outpost exploded in rage.

"You mean to tell me you still don't know who the enemy is?! Are you all useless?!"

The woman shouting was a young Suna kunoichi, wearing a revealing backless outfit — which was very sexy.

"Apologies, Lady Pakura" a sweating Suna jonin replied.

"The enemy seems to possess some kind of space-time technique that lets them slip past our defenses. Based on the speed and method, we suspect it might be the Konoha's Yellow Flash."

"That can't be right" Pakura muttered, analyzing quickly.

"According to front-line reports, the Yellow Flash has never used ninjutsu of this scale. Is this something new? Or… has Konoha produced another powerhouse?"

Her appearance here was directly tied to Mitsuki's previous escort mission. At that time, a Sarutobi clan elite jonin had held off her unit, while the team Inoshishi had annihilated a flanking Suna team elsewhere.

So this was the first time Pakura had witnessed the Rasenshuriken.

For Konoha, so long as critical supplies reached the frontlines, losing a few shinobi was acceptable. But for Suna, the ambush unit Pakura led had been highly invested in by the village.

High hopes led to crushing disappointment.

After the failed ambush, many within Suna began blaming Pakura. Clearly, smear campaigns like the Sakumo incident weren't rare in the shinobi world.

"Crows everywhere are equally black" as the saying goes.

But Pakura wasn't the kind of woman to get flustered by public opinion. She was strong, sharp, and didn't care what the village gossips thought.

Knowing she was being badmouthed, she quickly took an external assignment at this remote base—intending to lay low until the rumors passed.

Back to the present.

Even suspecting the enemy might be the Yellow Flash didn't help much. Space-time ninjutsu was rarer than kekkei genkai in the ninja world.

The enemy came and went freely — they held all the cards.

They couldn't even lay eyes on the attacker, let alone stop him.

"BOOM——!"

Another massive explosion.

Pakura strode to the window, her long legs carrying her with fury as she watched another supply depot engulfed in blue light.

Her brow furrowed. Her face darkened.

"Damn it… that's the fourth one.How many times is he going to cast this jutsu?Don't tell me… Konoha deployed the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki to the front lines?!"

She clenched her fists.

Right now, it wasn't about catching the intruder. With space-time ninjutsu in play, that was hopeless.

Their only option: minimize losses.

Pakura turned and strode toward the exit.

She didn't bother watching the destruction anymore. Once the chakra dispersed, all that would be left was another pit.

As she walked, she gave her orders loud and clear:

"Gather all our elites. Fall back and reinforce Warehouse No. 7! Search the area thoroughly—if you find anything resembling a space-time marker, destroy it immediately!"

"But Lady Pakura, what about the untouched third and sixth warehouses?" a confused jonin asked.

"I said fall back to No. 7. Didn't you hear me?!"

Her tone was icy cold—like she might kill him on the spot if he argued again.

"U-Understood, Lady Pakura!"

The Suna shinobi scrambled off to carry out the order.

Pakura wasn't planning to stay in the command room either. She was heading personally to guard Warehouse No. 7.

It held Suna's greatest war asset — the reason they even dared to declare war on Konoha.

They absolutely could not afford to lose it.

Warehouse No. 7, of course, was the secret depot that Minato and Mitsuki had identified earlier when they infiltrated this Suna base.
