Morris's POV
"Murphy, are you home?" I asked the moment her grating voice answered the phone. "I want to take you out somewhere special."
An ear-piercing shriek came through the speaker, nearly making me drop the phone. As expected, she was ecstatic about the prospect of spending time with me. Little did she know I was already parked outside her residence, ready to execute my carefully crafted plan. I would take her on this "special outing" without revealing our actual destination—the hospital. Darren had confirmed Eddie was at the club, giving me the perfect window to act without interference. If she resisted the tests, my lawyer was on standby to apply pressure. One way or another, she wouldn't leave that hospital without providing those samples.
Minutes later, Murphy emerged from her house practically skipping, dressed in an absurd combination of a white sundress and bright pink boots. I suppressed a grimace as she approached.
