Monica's POV
Morris maintained complete composure during our drive to his apartment, his hand resting on my knee, occasionally lifting it only to bring my fingers to his lips for a tender kiss. The silence between us was striking, especially considering the blazing desire I had witnessed in those violet eyes at the restaurant.
Upon reaching the garage, he helped me out of the car with practiced elegance, drawing me close with an arm around my waist. We moved unhurriedly toward the elevator and up to his residence, still enveloped in that weighted silence.
Inside, he instructed me to wait while he gathered what we needed for dessert. He returned moments later carrying a slice of cake, two forks, and chocolate syrup. Taking my hand, he guided me to a part of his apartment I hadn't yet explored – the rooftop terrace.
