Morris's POV
I pulled up to the curb outside Lynx World, leaning over to kiss Monica goodbye before she headed into work. Our weekend together had been incredible. Her parents had welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like I truly belonged. That sense of family acceptance meant everything to me. Sure, we'd had that unfortunate run-in with her ex, and her cousin's jealousy had been obvious, but those were minor bumps in an otherwise perfect getaway.
Having Monica back in my life filled me with a joy I could barely contain. And Austin—that amazing little boy had made everything complete. I couldn't help thinking that if my parents were still alive, they would have adored Monica and embraced Austin as their own grandson without hesitation.
