"Who are you?!" Conan asked vigilantly.

"Me? I'm Minamoto Yuu," Yuu said casually, stating his identity.

Conan was stunned by Yuu's words, then reacted angrily, "Don't lie! Yuu's family died in Africa two years ago!"

"Only my parents passed away that time. I miraculously survived," Yuu said with a sad expression. "If you don't believe me, I can tell you the content of the last email I sent you before I went to Africa two years ago." After Yuu revealed the email content, Conan's expression softened. As Yuu continuously recounted things only the two of them knew, Conan completely believed Yuu's words. However, Conan still had one question unanswered: how did Yuu become a child? So Conan asked, "Yuu, why did you shrink? Could it be... impossible!" Halfway through, Conan suddenly thought of a possibility and abruptly looked at Yuu.

"That's right, it's just as you, Shinichi, are thinking," Yuu said with a bitter smile.

"Shinichi, let Yuu come in first, then talk. You must have many questions for Yuu, and it's too unsafe to talk outside," Professor Agasa interjected.

"Hmm." Conan nodded with a solemn expression. With a click, the door closed.

"That's been my experience these past two years. Do you have any other questions?" Yuu finished narrating everything in half an hour, summarizing a long story.

"You've really been through a lot, Yuu," Professor Agasa said emotionally.

"It's fine, I'm used to it," Yuu smiled, comforting Professor Agasa.

"So, did you get any news about the Organization?" Conan couldn't help but ask when he heard Yuu mention tailing Gin into one of the Black Organization's bases.

"Since it was just a small base for them to carry out missions and rest, there wasn't any particularly valuable intelligence. But it doesn't matter; as long as we work together, we'll definitely be able to uproot the Organization!" Yuu looked at Shinichi with determined eyes.

"Right! Because we're childhood friends!!" Conan—no, Shinichi—nodded fiercely.

...

"What?! Professor Agasa, you're bringing another brat to live here?!" Kogoro Mouri shouted when he heard Professor Agasa planned to let Yuu stay.

"Hehe, another relative of mine heard about Conan and entrusted his child to me. I had no choice," Professor Agasa said with a smiling face.

"But, Professor Agasa..." Kogoro said reluctantly.

"What's the big deal, Dad? Anyway, there's still a spare room at home, and this way, Conan will have a companion," unlike Kogoro, Ran welcomed Yuu staying.

"This is Yuu's living expenses from my relative. There's ten million yen in it. He said you can take whatever you need whenever you need money, don't be shy," Professor Agasa said, handing Kogoro a bank card.

"Te-ten million..." Kogoro's eyes lit up, and he laughed loudly, "Nonsense, I'm honored to have such a lovely child live in my home!!"

"Sister, Uncle, good evening! My name is Edogawa Yuu," Yuu greeted Ran and Kogoro.

"Edogawa Yuu... Yuu, huh..." Ran seemed lost in thought. Yuu saw Ran distracted and couldn't help but ask, "Is there something wrong with my name, Sister Ran?" Ran said somewhat sadly, "I used to have a friend, whom I grew up with, also named Yuu. But he passed away two years ago... Uh, let's not talk about that sad stuff. Come on, Yuu-kun, I'll take you to your room." "Okay, Sister Ran," Yuu replied.

Conan couldn't help but feel a bit speechless seeing Yuu so naturally call Ran "Sister." Yuu's mouth was always so smooth since he was little.

...

The next day, Teitan Elementary School, Class 1-B.

"Hello everyone, I'm Edogawa Yuu, the new transfer student today," Yuu introduced himself.

"Ah, he's so handsome!"

"Edogawa? Isn't that the same surname as Conan's?"

"What's your relationship with Conan?" A commotion broke out below.

"Well, by seniority, I guess I'm Conan's cousin," Yuu said, walking down and sitting in the empty seat next to Conan.

"Hey, hey, Yuu, when did you become my cousin?" Conan stared at Yuu and said.

"Well, the surname Edogawa is rare, and two of them appearing at the same time is even rarer, so there," Yuu said with a smile. Seeing the students below still making noise, Ms. Kobayashi shouted loudly, "Do you want to have class or not?!" Seeing the students quiet down, Ms. Kobayashi began teaching.

After class, Genta, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko gathered around to introduce themselves to Yuu and expressed their desire to be friends with him. Yuu naturally chatted with them. Thus, Yuu's first day of elementary school after shrinking passed uneventfully.

"These kids are actually pretty good," Yuu said to Conan on the way home.

"Hmm, although they're a bit noisy, they're not bad kids," Conan nodded in agreement.

...

Class 1-B at Teitan Elementary School was quiet. Everyone was diligently reading, but Genta was telling Yuu and Conan about the terrifying things that had happened at school these past few days. He described it vividly, but neither Yuu nor Conan could bring themselves to care about it.

Conan listlessly asked Genta, "You said this school is cursed?"

"Yeah! And it's all true!" Mitsuhiko, beside him, leaned his head over and said mysteriously, "The whole school is gossiping about it now!"

"I bet it's just something like the school's Seven Mysteries, right?! Either the piano plays music by itself, or the number of stairs changes!" Conan had no interest in these things.

"This isn't a fairy tale for kids!" Mitsuhiko's face had lost all color. "A week ago that morning, a girl personally saw those eight plaster statues in the art room staring at her at the same time, and their eyes were glowing strangely!" By the end, Mitsuhiko's voice had changed pitch.

"Don't be nervous, it's just a coincidence!" Conan still said unhurriedly.

"But it's not just that. Don't you think the number of students in our school has suddenly decreased a lot recently?" Mitsuhiko secretly glanced around at the sparse number of students in the classroom.

"But I heard there's a flu going around recently!" Yuu looked at Mitsuhiko strangely.

"Could it be related to the curse of those plaster statues?" Mitsuhiko reminded him.

"Hmph, the rumor I heard is much scarier than the plaster statue rumor!" Genta said from behind, covering his mouth with his hand.

"Hmm?" Yuu and Conan both turned their heads back curiously.
