MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC61: Growth
Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Growth
Meanwhile.
Vahn and Lilith traversed the dangerous terrain for another few dozen miles, moving with maximum speed, Vahn's new Spirit Sense constantly sweeping their ten-meter radius.
Suddenly, both figures came to an abrupt halt. They simultaneously sensed the danger. A torrent of raw, high-level spiritual pressure closing in with frightening speed.
"Someone's coming.."
Vahn informed while remaining calm even though the energy signature was leagues above the Sky Level Rock Giant.
Lilith, however, wasn't too worried. Her silhouette remained perfectly relaxed. With her Spirit Sense she already saw who it was and why is he here.
Very soon, Patriarch Dalian of the Infernal Clan approached them. He didn't bother with the ground; he descended from the sky, landing a few hundred meters behind them in a crimson flare, completely enraged.
"You dare kill my son and flee!" Dalian roared, "Now you die!"
He didn't waste time on questions.
His attack was immediate: Infernal Storm Art.
Buzz!
A massive, blazing wave of crimson Incinerating Fire erupted from his body, rushing toward Vahn and Lilith like a tidal wave of destruction.
Vahn was instantly overwhelmed by the Infernal Storm. The intense heat pressed in, threatening to vaporize his skin and boil the blood in his veins. There was simply no way a Qi Refining Cultivator could contend against a Golden Core Cultivator; the difference in power was astronomical after all.
But even as the Incinerating Fire was mere inches from his face, Vahn's heart was unexpectedly calm. He felt a profound, absolute certainty: Because Lilith was there.
He was sure she wouldn't ignore this threat, not when it was a direct assault on her chosen apprentice and ally.
And to his relief, she acted this time.
Swoosh!
Lilith moved with a speed that transcended the concept of motion. One moment she was beside him, the next she was a swirling vortex of absolute shadow positioned between Vahn and the incoming firestorm.
She didn't use flashy Arts. With her Darkness Arts, she simply thrust her empty hand forward.
The action was deceptively simple, but the result was earth-shattering.
The vast, blazing Infernal Storm hit her wall of shadow and was instantly and utterly consumed.
"Puff!"
The fire vanished, leaving behind nothing but cold air and a profound, echoing silence.
Dalian's eyes went wide with disbelief at the instantaneous nullification of his fire power.
He didn't even get time to process the shock.
Lilith's counterattack was already underway.
A needle-thin thread of pure, dark energy shot from her fingertips, bypassing Dalian's spiritual defenses with contemptuous ease.
The darkness didn't harm him physically; it targeted his core and his will.
Patriarch Dalian felt a sensation of absolute spiritual violation.
"Thud!" His knees buckled instantly, and his powerful aura collapsed under the weight of the oppressive darkness.
With just one strike, the formidable Golden Core Patriarch was silenced and brought to his knees, reduced to a helpless duckling.
His throat felt choked by an invisible force. Only then did he look up at the veiled woman in horror.
"Cough! Who are you? Why would someone as esteemed as you harm my innocent son? Do you not have any humanity left in you?"
Hearing him, Vahn wanted to laugh. Just what kind of humanity the nobleman was taking about? Everything felt absurd.
It was Damien who attacked first, and got his karma as a result.
Lilith stood over the humbled Patriarch, her shadow-veiled form radiating an aura of chilling, primordial power.
She didn't even bother to answer other party's foolish questions.
Instead, her command was transmitted directly into Dalian's terrified mind with absolute spiritual authority:
"You will forget the path you took here. You will forget the face of the one who killed your wretched son. You will retreat and never seek out the beings you encountered this night. Your vengeance ends here."
Dalian, paralyzed and unable to resist, felt his memories rearrange and his fury drain into cold dread.
Lilith then glanced back at Vahn.
"Vahn. The world is full of fools blinded by their own power. So, do not rely on others. They will not always be present."
With that, She retracted her dark energy, leaving Vahn contemplating what she said.
On the other hand, Dalian instantly sprang to his feet, gasping for air, confusion written all over his face. He looked around wildly, saw the flattened forest, but had no memory of the attack, only a vague, overwhelming fear.
He instinctively turned and fled back toward Fire Cloud City with even greater speed than he arrived, desperate to escape the place that terrified him so utterly.
Vahn then spoke,
"You said you would interfere when I am on the brink of death. I was merely holding onto that deal."
Lilith sighed, resuming her march deeper into the forest.
"Yes. You're right about that. If I had allowed a Golden Core attack to land on your Qi Refining body, the resulting wounds would have placed you beyond the brink of death.
But as you said, I was merely keeping my keeping my end of the deal."
"Tsundere..."
Vahn grinned, a thrill running through him.
He knew better. She had protected him not just because of some conditions they set on.
This small act of care was a victory far greater than killing a Rock Giant.
Emotional Connection: 15.0% (↑5%)
Physical Connection: 33.0%
Vahn checked their relationship status. The emotional connection had reached a nice, round number. But their physical connection had crossed 1/3 of total milestone.
He was getting closer to his goal very fast.
---
After that small episode, their training resumed without pause.
The days in the Starless Forest blurred together, swallowed by endless combat and the roar of beasts. Time lost its meaning amid the clash of claws and the surge of spirit energy.
For the next three days, Vahn fought relentlessly. One spirit beast after another fell before him, yet Lilith never once allowed him to relax. Whenever he stumbled, she was there, her cold gaze sharper than any blade, forcing him to rise again and again until his arms trembled and his breathing burned like fire.
By the end of it, his body was covered in dirt and blood, his spirit energy nearly drained to nothing. But in that exhaustion, something remarkable had changed.
Vahn was no longer the pampered boy who once hid behind excuses. His stance was now steady, his eyes sharp and fearless.
Each movement now carried refined cold temperament. The forest wind itself seemed to acknowledge him, brushing past with quiet respect.
Lilith watched from a distance, her expression unreadable beneath the veil.
She had to admit, he had grown far faster than she expected.
Vahn, however, couldn't resist flashing her a grin as he wiped sweat from his brow. The mischievous glint in his eyes was still very much alive.
No matter how much he changed, that part of him remained untouched.
He had become a warrior in every sense of the word... but his perverted nature hadn't decreased in the slightest.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC62: Laying The Foundation [Bonus -50 PS]]
Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Laying The Foundation [Bonus -50 PS]]
In the late evening, they found a small, dry cave to serve as their shelter. After Vahn had secured the entrance and gathered materials for a modest fire, he turned to his Lilith.
"Instructor, I want to give you a massage."
Lilith wanted to refuse again, but something stirred within her. A desire to experience his massage again.
The first time he requested, she refused coldly. "I am a cultivator. My body does not require the crude maintenance of a mortal," she had snapped.
But Vahnn was persistent. The second time he asked, he shifted his appeal. "I have received your protection, your teaching, and now your spiritual awareness. I only wish to ease your burden and repay your teachings with the only comfort I possess."
Lilith stood still, silent for a long moment. But his persistent eyes were too much for her.
"Fine," she finally agreed, the word barely audible. She couldn't understand the reason for her acquiescence. Perhaps it was a calculated risk, or perhaps a strange, new curiosity.
She laid down on her front on a straw mat Vahn had prepared inside the cave, her veiled head resting on her arms.
Vahn approached her back, his movements respectful. He focused his hands, channeling not the rough power of his Lightning Art, but the gentle, soothing energy of his light affinity, subtly injected with healing light.
As his strong, warm hands began to work on the rigid knots of her cultivator muscles, an involuntary sigh of release escaped Lilith. The healing light permeated her spiritual blockages and smoothed out the tension she carried not just physically, but spiritually.
The effect was instantaneous and profound.
The Saintess of Darkness became addicted.
That was how it became a routine where, at the end of each taxing day, Vahn would massage Lilith's shoulders and back. During this time, they shared a little physical intimacy and, more importantly, emotional stories.
Vahn's Master Storyteller title came fully into play. He told her tales not of grand heroes, but of flawed people, of deep losses, of moments of unexpected kindness and agonizing betrayal. He used his words as carefully as he used his saber, targeting the invisible scars on her soul. He told her stories that made her emotionally vulnerable and subtly etched more space in her heart for him.
However, these three days of close interaction weren't without any reward.
Emotional Connection: 30% (↑15%)
Physical Connection: 43% (↑10%)
This was the progress of their relationship over the last three days. It might not look like much, but Vahn had successfully triggered rewards twice during this period.
For the first reward: Darkness Affinity +50%, and the Shadow Transformation Art (Heaven).
For the second reward: Darkness Affinity +75%, and the Ancient Shadow Summoning Art (Forbidden).
The total rise in his Darkness Affinity might seem inconsequential, but it greatly enhanced the natural power of his Darkness-based attacks. Furthermore, wielding those advanced Dark Arts would be far easier.
As for the two new Dark Arts he received, one was the Shadow Transformation Art, which would allow him to transform into a livingshadow. This was excellent for hiding, infiltration, and escaping mortal danger.
But the second was the Ancient Shadow Summoning Art, a Forbidden Grade Art, the same classification as the Dream Manipulation Art. This Art could literally allow him to summon the Shadows of the dead within thirty minutes of their demise.
Their powers would be the same as before their death, and they would follow him without any rest until he completely deletes them.
Vahn had read about this kind of power in some of the novels he consumed, and now such an Art belonged to him.
However, there was a major weakness: these summoned Shadows would be using his internal energy as fuel.
Nevertheless, if he could mitigate or ignore this weakness, this Dark Art held truly immense potential for the future.
Recognizing the value, Vahn immediately crushed the scrolls and learned all three Dark Arts at once.
Back to the present:
After satisfying Lilith and ensuring her relaxation through the massage, Vahn gently moved away. Once he confirmed she was deeply asleep, he used the remaining faint healing light to mend his own muscle fatigues from the day's training.
He then sat down cross-legged in one corner of the cave and began to meditate. The warm firelight from the small campfire washed over his figure, highlighting his face set in deep concentration.
Under Lilith's rigorous guidance, Vahn had already achieved all the prerequisite conditions needed to step into the Foundation Establishment Realm. He had the Spirit Sense, the excellent energy control, and his focused will.
Using his refined Spirit Sense, he delved deep inside his spiritual core until the circular structure known as the Dantian became visible to his inner sight.
It wasn't a physical object or organ in the mortal sense; it was a boundless sphere of concentrated internal energy he had gathered through his Qi Refining stage.
Vahn attempted to gauge its size, a measure impossible by the scale of the physical world.
But he was momentarily stunned when he "zoomed in" with his Spirit Sense. While other cultivators' energy reserves in the Qi Refining stage were typically the size of a small pond, his own Dantian was like a Boundless Ocean of grey fog.
This immense volume of energy was a direct result of his Void Refining Physique and the massive consumption of spirit stones.
His next critical step was to transforming this gaseous energy into a more concentrated, liquefied state, a process known as 'laying the foundation.' This transformation had to continue until the vast 'Ocean' of grey fog turned into a true sea of liquid spiritual energy, marking his breakthrough into the Foundation Establishment Realm.
Vahn began the careful, agonizingly slow process of compression. He used his spiritual will, now greatly boosted by Lilith's tutelage and the new rewards, to exert immense pressure on the gaseous Qi within his Dantian.
The process of liquefaction was torturous, as every molecule of energy resisted the pressure.
But his Will was superior to their pitiful resistance.

Vahn's breakthrough into the Foundation Establishment Realm, contrary to what might be expected from a cultivator with his complex lineage and massive energy reserves, was initially smooth without any major trouble. His relentlessly hard training and the stabilizing influence of Lilith's spiritual guidance had paid off.
With immense focus, Vahn successfully condensed his first Drop of Liquefied Qi.
It was a tiny, shimmering droplet of grey essence, floating within the vast, foggy expanse of his Dantian. But its existence signaled a revolutionary change: its potency was easily ten times stronger than the normal gaseous internal energy surrounding it.
The process, however, was agonizingly slow. Condensing the boundless "Ocean" of his Qi, drop by precious drop, would take weeks, if not months, of unbroken meditation. That inefficiency grated on Vahn's practical nature.
But that was when the Second Technique of the Void Refining Manual came into his mind.
"Let's see if it could make any difference.. "
Vahn mentally activated the technique, recalling the forbidden diagrams and commands he had memorized.
As soon as he used the Manual, a dark vortex immediately appeared inside the Spiritual Ocean of his Dantian.
"Buzz!"
It wasn't a destructive entity, but an engine of terrifying efficiency. The dark spiral began to pulse, and its gravitational pull was absolute. It rapidly devoured the gaseous Internal Energy of his Ocean, pulling it inward with irresistible force.
The incoming gas was instantly crushed, compressed, and purified at an alarming rate, and the vortex began to convert it into liquid energy. The tiny first drop was quickly joined by dozens, then hundreds of shimmering, concentrated droplets.
Vahn watched the spiritual phenomenon unfold inside his body and was shocked beyond words.
This wasn't just fast; it was monstrous. It wasn't cultivation; it was a spiritual black hole, consuming and condensing energy with impossible speed.
Does that mean all of his training and preparation were useless?
No. Because to guide those internal energy and maintain control over the process, the energy control and Spirit Sense are irreplaceable.
But of course, once again he realized that the Void Refining Physique was not just a powerful physique; it was a cheating device, forcing the very laws of cultivation to bend to its nature.
Time passed inside the cave in a strange harmony and peace.
That night, just before dawn, Lilith slowly moved from her long slumber. Her eyelashes fluttered, and for a brief moment, she simply lay there, listening to the soft crackle of the fading campfire and the quiet rhythm of another's breathing nearby.
"Was I asleep for this long...?" she murmured to herself. "Well, I shouldn't be so surprised. After all, I never had anyone tell me to sleep or rest. Not even my mother. Not my brother of the same blood."
"But... you did," she whispered softly as her gaze drifted toward the figure seated a few paces away.
Through her still-blurry vision, she could see Vahn sitting cross-legged in deep meditation. His body was glowing faintly with spiritual energy.
A faint warmth rose in her chest, unfamiliar yet strangely comforting.
"At first, I thought you were just a lucky boy who happened to stumble upon heaven-defying potential," she said quietly, almost afraid of breaking the silence.
"But now that I understand you more and more, I can say you're so different than others. You see me in a way no one ever has. You've given me these strange emotions I never thought I could feel. Each day with you becomes a new memory for me."
Her lips curved slightly, eyes though veiled, expressed her true thoughts.
"I always find myself drawn to that faint smile of yours when you look at me. You make me feel like... there's someone out there watching over me. Like I'm not alone anymore."
"But am I really allowed to change? Am I allowed to feel this freedom?"
Just as she was in this intense internal conflict, a firm and warm voice reached her ears, cutting through her doubts with absolute certainty.
"Yes, you are!"
Lilith froze, stunned that her deepest, most guarded thoughts had been answered aloud.
Vahn opened his eyes, the faint glow around him disappearing. He hadn't been fully unconscious; his deep meditation and expanded Spirit Sense had allowed him to hear her every whispered word.
He didn't just achieve breakthrough, he even stabilised the cultivation, reaching stage 2 in a single session.
The Void Refining Manual's Second Technique made it super faster. The boundless "Ocean" of gray fog had condensed about 500 drops of Liquified Qi.
His Foundation was far from complete. Once fully condense all the grey fog, he could begin his next step of Cultivation.
Nevertheless, he was nearly 3 time stronger than before, when he was Qi Refining Practitioner.
Regardless, putting all of that in the back of his mind for now, he turned hus attention toward her with his gentle and resolute expression
"Your fate is not determined by your bloodline, your title, or your mother's oppression, Lilith. It's determined by your own will," Vahn stated, his voice ringing with the clarity of his newfound power.
"You are allowed to feel anything you want, and you are allowed to be happy. Don't let others' shadows define your path."
Lilith sat up, pulling her veil tighter, her body radiating confusion and a lingering vulnerability. She had been caught, her cold mask completely shattered by her own confession.
"You... you were awake?" she managed to say, though her voice could hide the fluster in her voice.
Vahn simply smiled, the warmth in his eyes genuine. "Yes. Long enough to hear the most beautiful thing I've heard since entering this world."
Lilith remained speechless for a moment, her usual sharp retort lost in a sudden rush of conflicting emotions.
So, she quickly changed the topic:
"Your spirit energy seems stronger and denser. You must have reached the Foundation Establishment Realm, I assume."
Vahn nodded, not wanting to embarrass her further after she'd been caught in her vulnerability. "Yes, Instructor. Just now."
Hearing his affirmation, she commanded, "Then it's time you learn how to fight with humans. The dynamics of combat change entirely when facing an intelligent, tactical opponent who uses arts, arrays, and schemes."
Lilith then stood up fully, and looked beyond the cave entrance.
"For this, we'll move to a City. The forest has taught you savagery; the city will teach you cunning. Be prepared."
She quickly reverted back to her instructor role, though her voice still lacked its usual absolute steel.
Vahn couldn't disagree. He also understood that fighting a Human Cultivator and a mindless Spirit Beast wasn't the same matter. Beasts relied on instinct and elemental power; humans relied on deception, cultivation hierarchies, and organized attacks.
"Understood, Instructor," Vahn affirmed, sheathing the Hellbringer Saber.
His eyes shone with renewed ambition. The forest had elevated his power; the city would be the testing ground for his skills, his schemes, and his newly acquired Forbidden Arts.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC64: On The Bounty
Chapter 64: Chapter 64: On The Bounty
After a few hours of traveling across the desolate landscape, they reached the imposing, grand gates of Fire Cloud City. It was one of the major Cultivation Cities under the Holy Light Empire. Vahn immediately noted the heavy spiritual defenses and the sheer volume of powerful cultivators passing in and out. This was the same city Patriarch Dalian resided in.
Vahn and Lilith blended into the flow of people, moving past the massive stone gate.
But as they walked through the bustling streets, Vahn began to notice something strange. People were giving him too much attention. Their gazes lingered, sharp and curious.
At first, Vahn joked, "It must be your striking presence, Lilith. That's why they can't help but stare."
But Vahn was quickly proven wrong. He realized with a jolt that those gazes weren't of curious observers. Those intense looks were the gazes of Secret Hunters.
A group ofcultivators whose profession was tracking down targets for bounty.
Vahn confusedly questioned Lilith, "Instructor, what is going on? Why are we attracting so much..."
Before he could finish, a piece of yellow paper fluttered in the air, peeled off a nearby wall by the wind, and stuck squarely on his face.
He grabbed the paper and his eyes widened in utter shock. It was a massive, highly detailed Bounty Notice.
"Isn't this my face? Why is it here on this paper?" he muttered, slightly unnerved.
Lilith looked at it and frowned. It was indeed a surprisingly accurate sketch of his youthful features.
On top of paper there was a staggering reward: 10 million high-grade Spirit Stones.
Everything instantly fell into place.
Lilith, watching Vahn's stunned reaction, gave a brief, cold smile.
"Seems like they got the news," she stated, her voicing turning like Ice.
-----
While Vahn and Lilith found themselves in the sticky situation of being publicly hunted, the upper echelons of the Seven Great Holy Lands were already in a private uproar.
The monumental news of the Forbidden Marriage Ritual being broken, along with the unsettling disappearance of the Child of Fate / Devil's Child (Vahn), had reached their ears. This information was strictly suppressed; the ordinary populace didn't get any wind of it, as the elders feared the scandal would irreversibly stain the name of the Seven Saintesses and damage the Holy Lands' pristine image.
However, they immediately sent out their top powerhouses in secret to search for Vahn.
However, at the White Lotus Sanctuary, Vahn's name and portrait were being circulated like wildfire.
"Did you see the new bounty? One of the Outer Court disciples named Vahn Woodinson is on the bounty list!" a disciple exclaimed in the marketplace.
"Haha, yes! Just checked it on the Mission Board," replied another, excitedly. "They said he had fallen to the Demonic Path, and whoever catches him will be given 10 million high-grade Spirit Stones. How many spirit stones is that? I could buy a Heaven Grade Pet with that!"
The sheer magnitude of the reward turned disbelief into greedy obsession.
"Sigh, that brat is done for!"
"Serves him right. Who told him to switch to the Demonic Path because of his lack of talent," sneered an anonymous voice, betraying the envy Vahn had unknowingly provoked during his initial success.
A few steps away, one White Lotus Inner Court Disciple tore down a bounty paper and said with utter contempt, "A mere Qi Refining scrub playing Demonic? I'll claim this reward and buy myself a new high-grade spirit tool."
Others also joined in, claiming the bounty papers as if the rewards already belonged to them. Every corner of the Holy Land buzzed with such a tantalizing offer.
The bounty wasn't just circulated in White Lotus; it spread all over the Holy Light Empire and into the neighboring two Empires.
The massive reward and the branding of Vahn as a Heretic who had "fallen to the Demonic Path" whipped the entire cultivation world into a mad spree. Everyone was out to search for Vahn and catch him, convinced they were both getting rich and upholding justice.
The target on Vahn's back just became the largest, most visible, and most lucrative bounty in the history of the three empires.
Meanwhile, inside the Main Temple of White Lotus Sanctuary, a different, more localized storm was raging. The air was heavy with spiritual pressure and barely contained fury.
Seraphina, the beautiful Saintess, stood fiercely in front of the Supreme Elders and Patriarch Dimidium, her face flushing red with a visible anger that defied her calm demeanor.
She held a crumpled yellow bounty paper in her hand, thrusting it forward.
"Patriarch, what is the meaning of this?" she spoke, her voice strained with indignation. "Why did you put Vahn on the bounty? What did he do wrong to deserve this?"
Patriarch Dimidium raised his hand, halting her protest. His expression was cold and utterly merciless.
"Don't act so dumb, Saintess. You should know what happened by now."
"No, I don't," Seraphina retorted, seething with rage. "I know he was kidnapped by Lilith, but what is this nonsense that he had fallen to the Demonic Path? Do you mind explaining that part? I know him well. He would never join the demonic faction."
"Calm down, little girl," Elder Steiner spoke coldly, his tone dripping with disdain. "It is already revealed that the other Saintesses had felt the break of the Marriage Ritual that bound him to all of you, something that should have been impossible. And now that he is free, that Devil child is going to wreak havoc in the world. You don't know how terrifying the prophecy regarding him is."
Another female elder snorted, her face pinched with disapproval:
"And yet, you little girl, were so blinded by foolish love that you didn't even bother to inform us about it earlier. If you had, we would have caught him before he escaped. Such a catastrophe! Now, all the Saintesses will lose their unparalleled potential. They won't be able to grow as fast as they used to be."
She finished, shaking her head with heavy disappointment.
Seraphina's mind spun, completely baffled by their words. How could the unparalleled potential of the Seven Saintesses depend on a single person, Vahn? She struggled to grasp what the elders were talking about.
But a dark, sickening premonition settled heavily in her heart.
"Huh! What do you mean by that, Elders?" Seraphina asked, her voice quiet and strained.
"Sigh, don't you realize it yet, Seraphina?" The female elder shook her head with palpable pity, as if watching a foolish child finally facing reality.
"The Destiny's Child, the Fated Husband... those were all nonsense. He is a Demon's Child with a Heaven-Defying Physique. We bound him with the Seven Saintesses to drain his power away. To make the best of the best powerhouses for the Righteous Faction. For humanity's sake."
The elder's voice turned cold and severe. "He is not your husband, not anyone's. He is a heretic of the Heavenly Law, and he was nothing more than a carefully cultivated resource."
Rumble!
Seraphina's world broke down instantly. The carefully constructed reality of her cultivation life, of her humanitarian duties, of righteous power, all crumbled into dust.
"So, that's what they meant by 'He will be the source of our strength'?" she whispered to herself, her eyes wide with horror. "All this time we were growing stronger using him as a sacrifice. How could I be so foolish to not understand earlier?"
As the devastating truth crystallized in her mind, a silent tear fell down her cheek. The betrayal was total, tearing apart not just her personal beliefs, but the very foundation of the White Lotus Sanctuary's supposed righteousness.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC65: Escape and Disguise [Bonus - 100 PS]
Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Escape and Disguise [Bonus - 100 PS]
"Seems like they got the news. They branded you a heretic and put a city-smashing price on your head. Time is up."
The buzzing attention of the crowd solidified instantly into aggressive intent.
Vahn's highly sensitive Spirit Sense registered a dozen converging auras. small, greedy teams of bounty hunters, mainly Foundation Establishment level with a few Golden Core experts, closing in through the crowded streets.
"Instructor, let's teach them the price of their greed," Vahn commanded, his face hardening into the ruthless mask of a survivor.
Lilith gave a curt nod.
Vahn and Lilith didn't run; they fought their way out.
The fight that erupted in the crowded streets of Fire Cloud City was brief, brutal, and utterly one-sided. Dozens of bounty hunters, eager for the massive prize, found themselves facing two shadows of overwhelming power.
The bounty hunters, relying on numbers and surprise, were swiftly decimated. Lilith was the one who did the most killings, her movements a graceful, terrifying dance of absolute darkness. Against Golden Core Cultivators, her power was essential. She made no sound and left no corpse intact, reducing the experienced hunters to piles of ash or dust with surgical precision.
But Vahn wasn't so weak to hide behind a woman. He helped her in every way he could, utilizing his new arsenal to sow chaos and confusion.
He activated his Shadow Transformation Art (Heaven), turning his body into a mere ripple of shadow that slipped through the crowd, avoiding attacks meant to vaporize him. He used his saber not for direct confrontation, but for precise, crippling strikes against the enemy's formation leaders. When a hunter tried to use a spiritual array, Vahn used his Dream Manipulation Art (Forbidden) on the caster, inflicting momentary paralysis or crippling confusion, leaving them vulnerable to Lilith's dark embrace.
The message was clear: If they want to hunt, they need to be ready for getting hunted as well.
Within minutes, the main thoroughfare was a scene of chaos. Scattered weapons, smoking debris, and the eerie, bloodless aftermath of Lilith's attacks. The sheer number of dead or incapacitated hunters finally caught the attention of the municipal authority.
With a rumbling spiritual pressure, the City Guard arrived, appearing like a Legion of Holy Warriors, fully armored and organized, ready to capture the heretic.
"We have more company," Lilith warned, her voice devoid of urgency.
Vahn nodded. They had bought enough time.
At that moment, they both executed their escape. Vahn fully activated his Shadow Transformation Art, his form instantly collapsing into a low, rippling shadow on the ground. Lilith did the same, using her own Darkness Arts.
Whoosh!
Two faint, dark streaks flowed across the cobblestone street and disappeared down a narrow alley, merging into the deeper shadows of the city's ancient foundations.
They left the enraged City Guard and the staggering reward behind, vanishing completely from the reach of the hunters.
Vahn and Lilith had successfully escaped the initial trap. Now, deep within the hostile territory of Fire Cloud City, they were ghosts.
After flowing through the narrow, twisting alleyways of Fire Cloud City, Vahn and Lilith emerged in a small, abandoned corner, hidden behind overflowing refuse bins and thick shadows. They instantly resumed their human forms.
Lilith's eyes, sharp and clear again, fixed immediately on Vahn.
"What's the Dark Art you just used?" she asked, her voice laced with suspicion. "Why did it look almost similar to mine?"
She was referring to the Shadow Transformation Art, a Heaven-grade skill Vahn had just acquired from the System. It mirrored her own innate mastery over darkness far too closely for coincidence.
Vahn, though tensed inwardly, didn't flinch. He shrugged it off with a straight face, the lie already practiced in his mind.
"It's just a small technique, which I improved after observing yours, Instructor. You know how powerful your aura is. I merely tried to imitate the flow for better stealth."
He lied with a straight face, completely unaware that this simple statement caused another wave of ripple in her already cracked heart.
How can someone merely imitate another person's Secret Art just by observing?
In a world where Secret Cultivation Arts are bound by specific lineage, restrictions, and immense difficulty, simply imitating one by observation would indeed be nearly impossible. The laws of cultivation are not so lax as to allow anyone to replicate something as unique and dangerous as a Secret Art just by watching.
For a Secret Art to be passed on or learned, it requires a deep understanding, a profound connection with the user's Qi, and sometimes a special lineage or bloodline compatibility. These techniques often have hidden prerequisites that prevent anyone from learning them, even if they have seen the movements or heard the incantations
If everyone could do so like Vahn, wouldn't there be no Secret Arts at all?
"Anyways, where should we go from here?"
Vahn quickly changed the subject, pulling out the crumpled bounty poster and torching it with a faint spark of Lightning Qi.
"I am sure, the City is going to be locked down soon."
Lilith came out of her daze and nodded curtly.
"I have one place in my mind where we can temporarily shelter," she said smoothly.
Vahn's brow furrowed. "Where is it?"
"The Infernal Clan," she answered.
Vahn blinked, certain he hadn't heard correctly. "The Infernal Clan? The people whose Patriarch we just humiliated and whose son I killed?"
Lilith gave a slight, chilling smile beneath her veil, her eyes gleaming with cold cunning.
"Precisely. The safest place to hide from the hunters is within their own den. No one will dare search the Infernal Clan's fortified estate without a direct decree from the City Lord or the Holy Lands themselves."
And that's how Vahn and Lilith headed toward the Infernal Clan estate.
The Clan estate was a massive, ancient structure carved from fortified stone, its perimeter laced with visible enchantments that shimmered faintly in the city light.
Just before Twilight, Maids and guards moved about on their work.
Vahn and Lilith moved with synchronized stealth, the darkness of their attire and their shared dark affinity making them nearly invisible. Lilith neutralized the outer sentries' detection arrays with imperceptible pulses of her own overwhelming power, allowing them to breach the outer walls.
Inside the estate, the atmosphere was a somber silence.
They moved silently through the inner courtyard toward the main residential hall, drawn by the strongest convergence of spiritual energy and distress.
Vahn and Lilith found their target in a lavishly decorated, yet heavily darkened room.
Patriarch Dalian and his beautiful wife stood kneeling before their son's body, which lay laid out on a silk sheet, its chest wrapped to conceal the fatal saber wound.
Sorrow and rage clouded their eyes.
Dalian's beautiful wife's contorted with grief as she slammed her fist on the floor.
"Husband, where is our son's killer? Why have you come back empty-handed like a coward? How can you fail to protect your own son?" she demanded, her voice thick with anguish.
Patriarch Dalian looked utterly defeated, his face wearing only confusion. The forceful memory-wipe Lilith had performed was still effective, leaving him with an inescapable sense of failure but no target for his vengeance.
"I—I don't know, my dear," Dalian confessed, his voice shaking. "I sensed the power that shattered the Rock Giant, and I followed the trail. But... when I reached the scene, the killer was gone. I remember nothing, I felt nothing, only a profound terror that made me flee."
Lilith gave Vahn a cold, approving nod. Her Dark Art had been successful.
Vahn watched the display of grief from his vantage point behind a support column. The sight of the grieving parents was a momentary distraction, but Vahn immediately suppressed any flicker of empathy. His life was on the line, and this was an unparalleled opportunity.
He needed more than just a fleeting Shadow form; he needed a disguise that would grant him free movement inside the estate. And Lilith, ever the master strategist, had already proposed the most audacious and secure disguise.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC66: The Disguise
Chapter 66: Chapter 66: The Disguise
While the couple wallowed in grief, Lilith stepped out of the shadow at once.
Her striking black dress with subtle rose patterns instantly drew the couple's attention. Seeing her veiled figure, they instinctively became alert.
"Who are you?" Patriarch Dalian roared, his figure erupting like volcanic fire, sensing the immense, unknown threat.
Lilith extended her hand toward the duo. Instantly, dark tendrils moved, entering their minds and bypassing all physical and spiritual defenses. Dalian's erupting fire was extinguished before it could even reach Lilith. His powerful will was instantly subjugated.
Only then did Vahn come out of his hiding, watching Lilith's back with evident admiration.
"Wow! Lilith! You're domineering as ever!"
Lilith snorted in response, a sound that held neither amusement nor anger. "Don't speak nonsense. We need to finish this quick."
Vahn simply smiled, perceiving the subtle shift in her aura. Though she acted cold on the outside, her action indicated a calculated efficiency.
Afterward, they both became busy with their respective tasks.
Lilith commanded the mind-controlled duo to stay still with eyes closed, without making any noise.
Meanwhile, Vahn laid down beside Damien's corpse, creating a sharp contrast. Damien's hair was crimson red, Vahn's void black. Damien's face was sunken, bearing the marks of a debaucherous young master, while Vahn's face was healthy and bright. They looked quite similar in height and stature, which was why Lilith thought this plan would work perfectly.
"Hold still, there will be a little discomfort, but you'll have to endure," Lilith instructed, her focus absolute.
"Alright, Instructor," Vahn replied, his expression serious.
She then proceeded to use one of her Forbidden Arts. It was called Face Stealing. Using this Secret Art, she had collected many faces into her collection over the millennia to hide her true, monstrous face from the world. And now she was going to use the same Forbidden Art to give Vahn the flawless disguise they really needed right now.
A shimmering wave of shadow detached from the corpse and flowed toward Vahn. As the spiritual essence of Damien's identity, features, and spiritual signature merged with Vahn, the process was invasive and jarring.
Vahn's body rippled, his physique subtly adjusted, and his face transformed into the exact copy of Damien Infernos, the recently deceased young master. The spiritual signature of the Infernal Clan now emanated from him, making the disguise perfect even to high-level spiritual senses.
"This perfect disguise should hold for as long as you want," she mutter looking at Vahn's new face.
Lilith studied Vahn's new face: the spitting image of the deceased young master, Damien. Her eyes, typically cold, held a deep, unreadable intensity.
"This perfect disguise should hold for as long as you want," she warned, her voice smooth and serious. "But once you remove it, you cannot get it back again."
She was looking not at Vahn, but at the face he now wore.
"From today onward, you are now their son: Damien Infernos. And you'll need to act like one, if you want to stay under everyone's eyes. Understand?"
Vahn nodded slowly after sitting up. He immediately adopted a subtle arrogance in his posture, already slipping into the role.
He then curiously glanced back at the original Damien's body. Where the face had been, only flesh and blood remained, the spiritual imprint completely stripped away by the Forbidden Art.
His heart skipped a beat, not out of fear, but from a sudden, sharp realization of how Lilith had to live her life. To live by wearing someone else's face, to constantly maintain a lie and hide her true self behind the mask of others, was truly not a good feeling. He felt like he understood her a little more, an unexpected wave of empathy strengthening the growing connection between them.
He took a deep breath, pushing the sentiment aside. He had a job to do.
"Understood, Instructor. Time to be Damien." Vahn rose to his feet, instantly channeling the spoiled, entitled air of a young master.
He then quickly stripped off his clothes, revealing his muscular physique and manhood to Lilith without shame.
After a small clean up, he seamlessly swapped his garments with Damien's elaborate, high-quality red robes.
Lilith, though a being of ancient power, was slightly flustered by his bold move.
She quickly turned her back, using the diversion to address the inconvenient truth of the corpse.
Pufff!
A silent command of her darkness art reduced Damien's body to nothingness, eliminating all evidence of the fatal exchange.
With the physical evidence gone, she moved to solidify the mental deception. She began manipulating the minds of the noble couple, her soft voice acting as a spiritual command:
"Your son is not dead. He was saved by his Powerful Master who has taken him under their discipleship in a fortuitous encounter. You must treat him and his Master with absolute care. Be always grateful to his Master for saving his life."
Hearing her absolute command, the couple's mind were rapidly being rewritten. The confusion drained away, and their eyes soon regained their usual color, filled with the joy of a profound relief.
"Son! You're safe!" The woman instantly jumped onto Vahn, hugging him with powerful, maternal force, nearly suffocating him in her relief.
"Thank the gods! No, thanks to your Master. You're truly fortunate!"
Vahn's lips parted with slight disbelief. He had acquired a family of just like that? The kind of family he yearned for day and night?
But he quickly shook his head. No, this wasn't real. Their love and care were a flawless spiritual illusion; he was only seeing the manifestation of Lilith's mind control.
Meanwhile, Patriarch Dalian, whose memory of the earlier humiliation was now replaced with profound awe and gratitude, bowed respectfully before Lilith's veiled presence.
"Thank you, Esteemed One, for saving my foolish son," Dalian said, his voice reverent. "We'll forever be grateful to you for choosing him as your disciple."
Lilith accepted the profound bow without acknowledging it, her focus entirely on the mission. She had successfully installed Vahn with a perfect, high-status identity and secured the absolute deference of a Golden Core Patriarch and his clan.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC67: Temptation And Restraint
Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Temptation And Restraint
The City was already in chaos. Every minute, powerful Spirit Senses swept over the whole city, searching every nook and cranny.
The City Guards and countless Bounty Hunters searched for the target with pinpoint precision. The sudden, lucrative bounty had mobilized nearly every capable cultivator.
Bang!
"Open the door! We are the City Guards!"
"Hey, you, stop! Remove your mask!"
"Ah, yes. Right away. I am not any criminal, My Lords!"
"Go! Search every household!"
Very soon, a group of patrolling Guards reached the imposing entrance of the Infernal Clan's estate.
"Senior, do we also need to search here?" a trembling young guard asked.
"Of course. But we have to maintain courtesy," the powerful senior guard said, leading the team toward the main gates.
But the Infernal Clan guards immediately stopped them.
"What's the matter, Officer Olwen? Why have you come to my Clan's estate?" one of the clan guards inquired politely.
"We're here with the permission of the City Lord," the senior officer barked, his eyes gleaming with coldness. "Two heretics are on the run, so we are ordered to search every house, every building. And trust me, the matter is of utmost seriousness. Even the Holy Emperor wouldn't dare to stop us now."
The clan guard's face paled instantly. The severity of the operation was clear.
"Ah... Is that so... Please wait a minute. I will call the Patriarch at once," the head guard said, heading inside the estate with hurried steps. Though the Infernal Clan was one of the top clans of the City, even they had to show some courtesy to the City Guards who were bearing the order of the City Lord himself.
The urgency in the head guard's step was unmistakable. He quickly found Patriarch Dalian, who, under Lilith's precise mind-control, was ready.
Dalian, now fueled by the implanted gratitude for his 'son's' safe return, quickly allowed the City Guards to search their estate. He was eager to cooperate, seeing it as a minor inconvenience compared to the salvation of his lineage.
"Search! Search every room!" Dalian declared, walking with Officer Olwen. His demeanor was stiff, but cooperative.
Then, Dalian eagerly introduced Vahn, who was standing beside him, to the senior officer. "Olwen, this is my son, Damien. He has some great promise! He just got discipleship under a powerful Master in a fortuitous encounter!" Dalian spoke in a proud, fatherly tone, emphasizing the 'Master' to raise his son's status.
Officer Olwen and his guards looked Vahn up and down, their faces shifting from professionalism to undisguised scorn.
"Haha.. Patriarch, Isn't he the one who lost your face by failing to enter the White Lotus Sanctuary?" a junior guard mocked, barely suppressing a laugh.
Dalian's face fell instantly, the sting of the old humiliation cutting through the mind control.
Vahn, perfectly playing his part as Damien, seized the moment. He clenched his fists, his face reddening with false anger.
"Watch your mouth, dog! My current Master is a hundred times stronger than that paltry sect!" he retorted, channeling the arrogance and wounded pride that defined the real Damien.
The guards, seeing only a pampered, arrogant brat, dismissed him instantly. They weren't looking for a self-important noble; they were hunting a cunning heretic. They didn't suspect Vahn at all.
After a quick but thorough sweep of the most logical hiding spots, the guards found nothing. They left with a hurried apology to the Patriarch, offering their official regrets for the intrusion.
The confrontation wasn't without internal consequence. As the City Guards departed, one of Damien's cousins, a young man named Boros, stepped forward, his eyes full of malicious amusement.
"Tsk, tsk, Damien," Boros mocked, shaking his head. "To think that even a mere City Guard dares to bark at you like that. How low our Young Master has fallen."
The insult was calculated to hit Vahn's new, assumed identity where it hurt the most: his pride and status. Vahn registered the contempt but only allowed the anger to flash across his face before composing himself.
He knew this petty rivalry was actually an advantage to hide his true identity more..
Vahn simply sneered back, channeling Damien's disdain. "Watch your mouth. My Master has granted me power beyond your imagination. I'll deal with your little jokes once I've had my revenge on the true scum who tried to kill me."
Boros only spat on the ground, not believing him at all.
That night, Vahn headed toward Damien's lavish quarters. The silver moon visible outside the window, its glow illuminating the marble floors.
As soon as he entered, two young maids in seductive black-and-white uniforms approached him with their heads bowed.
Their figures outlined by the dim candlelight.
"Welcome back, Young Master Damien," one of them whispered in practiced sweetness. "Would you like your usual service tonight?"
The other stepped closer, her perfume heavy enough to fill the air.
"We've been waiting for you," she murmured softly, her eyes rising with a gentle, false affection. "You seemed... tense today. Perhaps we could help you relax?"
Vahn gave them both a long, unreadable look. He could sense the trembling in their voices, the hollow fear behind their smiles.
They've probably done this a hundred times. Not out of choice, but survival, he thought grimly.
"Relax, huh?" Vahn said with a faint smile. "Tell me, do you really enjoy serving him like this?"
The two girls froze, unsure how to respond.
One of them bit her lip nervously before whispering, "We... don't have a choice, Young Master. Please, don't make fun of us."
Vahn's expression softened as replied, "I'm not mocking you. I just wanted to see if there was still truth left behind those eyes."
They looked confused, uncertain how to act in front of this strange version of their 'master.'
He sighed lightly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"You two can rest for the night. No need to do anything."
One of them blinked in disbelief. "Y-You mean... we don't have to—?"
"No," he interrupted gently. "Not tonight. Just sleep. I'll be fine on my own."
They exchanged glances, unsure whether to believe him. But his tone was authoritarian, so they obeyed without protest. They lay down upon the bed, their exhaustion overtaking them almost instantly.
Vahn extinguished the lamp, plunging the room into comforting darkness.
Once silence returned, he sat cross-legged on the floor, closing his eyes.
His breathing slowed, his body glowed as he delved into deeo meditation. Inside his Dantian, he began condensing internal energy to liquified Qi at rapid speed.
He was unaware that beyond the layer of shadows, someone else was watching him.
It was Lilith.
She stood half-merged in the darkness, watching him with quiet focus.
She had seen everything; the temptation, the restraint, the quiet kindness.
"Humph," she muttered softly to herself, though the corner of her lips curved ever so slightly. "So, he's not just a fool after all."
She crossed her arms, watching him in silence.
"I can't tell if he's naive or... sincere," she whispered with an emotion she refused to name. "But either way... he's nothing like the others."
Her gaze remained fixed on his peaceful figure, the faint glow of his cultivation reflecting in her eyes.
"Maybe, he really was born to change the darkness itself."

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC68: New Identity [Bonus -25 GTs]
Chapter 68: Chapter 68: New Identity [Bonus -25 GTs]
After a night of intense cultivation using the Void Refining Manual, Vahn condensed a total of 3500 droplets of liquefied energy, successfully pushing his cultivation to the next level.
Cultivation Level: Foundation Establishment - Stage 3.
When he opened his eyes, he was slightly disappointed to find the maids nowhere in sight. They had already left as their morning duties called them.
Vahn got freshened up by splashing some cold water on his face. He would have liked to take a proper bath, but he realized he didn't even know the way to the bathing chambers. Heck, he didn't know anyone in this massive estate except the name of the Patriarch, Dalian, and not even the name of his fake mother.
Yesterday, Damien's cousin had mocked him, but Vahn couldn't even recall the cousin's name. If someone noticed this oddity, they would surely suspect something was amiss with the young master, even with the mind control holding the parents steady.
So, early in the morning, Vahn headed straight back to the family library for some vital intelligence gathering before he got into a truly sticky situation.
Vahn entered the secluded archive, Dalian's jade token unlocking the door with a quiet chime. The archive was a sprawling labyrinth of shelves, not holding forbidden techniques, but scrolls containing the clan's administrative records, communication logs, and most importantly, personnel files.
He moved quickly, using his Spirit Sense to skim the vast volumes. His goal was simple: necessary survival intel, Damien's friends and foes, political rivals, and other general information he need to about the Infernal Clan.
Vahn located the family tree and the servant registry. He quickly memorized all the names and their relationships. Among them the key names were:
Mother: Lady Rianne Infernos.
Cousin who mocked him: Boros Infernos.
Personal Maids: Lilly and Maria
Head Steward: Maester Jinn.
With these key names secured, he significantly reduced the risk of his disguise failing due to simple ignorance.
Vahn was completely immersed in the archives, his mind filtering thousands of pages of text using his extraordinary spirit sense. But that was until a chilling sound broke his concentration.
"Ohhhh... Brother....."
The voice, ghostly and drawn out, came from directly behind him. His heart, usually rock-steady, skipped a beat thinking he had been caught by a guard or an elder.
Vahn spun around instantly, only to find himself face-to-face with a mischievous sight. A girl, younger than him by several years, was posed in a deliberately spooky posture, stifling a giggle.
She had the same crimson hair as Damien and the other Clan members, her features sharp and clearly belonging to the Infernos bloodline. At first glance, Vahn knew exactly who she was. She was Delilah Infernos, Damien's only biological sibling, his little sister to be exact.
"Hehehe..." the girl giggled melodiously. Before Vahn could fully react, she launched herself at him and hugged him by the neck like a Koala, hanging onto him with surprising strength.
"Brother got scared... Brother got scared!"
Vahn managed to maintain his composure, forcing a brief, annoyed sigh; the probable reaction Damien would have to his annoying little sister's antics.
"Delilah! Get off!" Vahn (as Damien) snapped, pulling her off his neck with feigned irritation. "I'm busy! Don't you know Father has me working on something important right now?"
Delilah pouted, crossing her arms. "Liar! You never come to the archive. You were hiding from Aunt Saria's lecture, weren't you?"
Vahn mentally noted the name: Aunt Saria. Another piece of vital clan information secured through a minor interaction.
"It doesn't matter," Vahn asserted, quickly steering her toward the door. "Look, I have to find a dispatch from the North. It's urgent. Go play outside. I'll take you riding this afternoon, okay?"
He had no intention of riding, but it was a perfect temporary distraction.
Delilah's eyes lit up. "Promise? The new Sky-winged Griffin is ready!"
"Promise," Vahn confirmed with a tired wave of his hand, ushering her out.
As the door sealed, Vahn leaned against it, breathing a sigh of relief. The disguise was holding up perfectly, but navigating family dynamics was proving far more taxing than fighting a Sky-Level beast.
Nevertheless, Vahn was slowly getting the hang of his new identity.
Afterward, Vahn went to the training yard of the Infernal Clan. This was Damien's and the other direct descendants' daily routine to build uo Strength.
He didn't wish to be a show off, but It was a necessary public display to maintain his cover.
Once arriving in the vast, open field, Vahn took in the scene. The elder members were guiding the young, demonstrating their Complex Fire Arts. Pillars of flame erupted, and whips of scorching energy cracked through the air.
And here, Vahn faced a greater problem. He didn't have the affinity of Fire, the essential element of the Infernal Clan. His core affinities were Light, Darkness, and Lightning.
So he would have to stay extremely careful not to give away his lack of elemental compatibility, which would instantly expose him as an imposter.
He scanned the field, preparing his defense, when Boros (the mocking cousin) noticed Vahn the moment he made his entrance. His lips curled into a deliberate sneer as he approached Vahn (Damien).
"Well, well, look who decided to grace us with his presence," Boros drawled, stopping directly in front of Vahn. "The great Young Master Damien, fresh from his 'fortuitous encounter' with his imaginary Master."
His was loud enough to draw the attention of the surrounding clan members.
Vahn simply raised an eyebrow, channeling the expected, arrogant disdain of Damien.
"I'm here because Father commanded it, Boros. Unlike you, I actually have duties to the Clan."
Boros scoffed, his eyes sweeping over Vahn's untouched figure, a clear reference to his lack of training and rumored laziness.
"I heard you were searching the archives. Plotting revenge for the attempt on your life, were you? But It's a pity you haven't learned a single secret Art in a year."
He then pointed to a large, smoldering training dummy that was specifically enchanted to resist Fire damage.
"If you're so anxious for revenge, show us. Demonstrate your Fire Art. Let's see what your 'powerful Master' taught you. Show us how you would destroy the enemies."
Vahn cursed Boros' nine generation. Why did he have to challenge him at this exact time.
Now, how should he deal with this crisis?

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC69: Saintess Of Fire
Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Saintess Of Fire
Vahn accepted the challenge with a casual lift of his chin, perfectly showing the arrogance and wounded pride of the young master Damien.
"You want a demonstration, cousin? Fine.. But you'll regret asking that," Vahn sneered, stepping toward the training dummy.
He channeled his power, not his innate Fire affinity (which he didn't possess), but his Lightning Affinity, heavily augmented by his new Foundation Establishment Stage 3 Cultivation base.
"From today onward, this Clan will see it's true rightful heir. Behold, witness the power of the Secret Fire Art My Master bestowed upon me."
With the dramatic declaration, Vahn unleashed the Second Sword of Nine Heavens Lightning Swords: Red Calamity Storm.
The black blade of his Hellbringer Saber was instantly erupted in crimson-red lightning.
The color was utterly unique, as it belong another form of Heavenly Lightning.
"Destroy!"
The attack wasn't a sword strike; it was a focused, crackling storm of energy. Vahn unleashed the crimson lightning directly onto the enchanted training dummy.
CRACKLE! BOOOM!
The red lightning exploded against the target.
It wasn't the slow, searing heat of fire; it was the intense, instantaneous, incinerating destruction of a crimson lightning storm.
The dummy, designed to withstand the typical Fire Arts of the clan, was instantly overloaded and utterly destroyed into smoking debris.
"WHAAAT!"
A collective gasp of fear and awe swept through the training yard. Vahn's peers and cousins, having never seen such an intense, red-hued burst of power, instantly mistook it as a powerful secret Fire Art, a terrifying, higher-grade technique taught only by the most elite Grandmasters.
Vahn sheathed his saber and glanced over others with arrogance and pride.
"That is the art my Master taught me," he claimed loudly, ensuring everyone heard the source of his new, terrifying strength.
He then fixed his gaze directly on Boros and the other skeptical cousins. "Does anyone else wish to face it?"
Boros looked utterly awestruck. No, not just shock; his face instantly turned pale. He was a high-level cultivator for his age, but Vahn (Damien) had just demonstrated a raw destructive power that almost surpassed his own.
Yet, some of his foolish supporters, still blinded by rivalry and denial, didn't accept defeat so easily.
"Brother Boros, he's being very cocky! Go and teach him a lesson! "
"Yeah, you can't admit defeat without a fight. Go on, we're with you! Prove them that you're the worthy heir!"
"Shut up, you lowly bastards!," Boros snapped, turning his fear-stricken fury onto his overly enthusiastic supporters. "Didn't you see how Damien destroyed that dummy? Do you all want me to charge straight at my death?"
After seeing that terrifying power, any thought of challenging Damien was instantly purged from his mind. Boros's immediate, violent retreat from the confrontation was the loudest endorsement Vahn could have received. His clan mates' foolish suggestions only annoyed him to no end.
Vahn watched the scene with a genuine cold smile. He had completely neutralized the internal threat and cemented his new image as the untouchable, powerful disciple of a mysterious master.
Now, he could continue with his training right under his enemy's nose. The audacity was intoxicating.
But before diving back into real Training , there was one critical action he needed to take. He needed to acquire the Fire affinity somehow.
And his crafty mind already formed a plan for that.
After successfully concluding his morning training yard demonstration, Vahn headed to the secret Guest room where Lilith resided.
Once inside, he saw Lilith seated cross-legged on the bed in deep cultivation, the darkness outlining her absorbed the ambient light coming in through the windows.
"Lilith!" he called out softly.
Lilith opened her veiled eyes, watching him with a questioning look, waiting for him to elaborate on his "Turn the Tables" plan.
"Lilith, I need the Fire Affinity!" he stated, answering her unspoken curiosity.
However, his demand made her raise a skeptical eyebrow.
"Vahn, I understand why you need it, especially here," she replied. "But how can someone just acquire an affinity like that?
Besides, you already have Light, Dark, and Lightning affinity. You'll have to manage them with that trick, just as you did before coming here."
Vahn sat before her, facing her closely. "I wish I could. But you know I can't deceive the higher powerhouses of this city with the same trick repeatedly. They will be able to tell the difference between my Lightning and Fire with just a glance, just like you did at the training yard," he explained in a serious tone.
He needed the Fire Affinity to perfect the disguise and make his survival seamless within the Infernal Clan.
Lilith sighed helplessly, realizing the logical flaw in his current cover. "So, what do you want me to do? I don't have a Fire Seed with me."
Vahn smiled mysteriously, a crafty glint entering his eyes. "I have one plan. But for this, I need another person's help."
"And who is that?"
"Saintess of Fire, Flama Astoria."
Instantly, Lilith's mind connected the dots. The Forbidden Marriage Ritual might be broken, but the profound spiritual connection between the Saintesses remained, which was a unique network only they could access.
"So, you want me to arrange a meeting between you two?" Lilith asked.
She emitted the cold amusement of someone observing a ridiculous scheme.
"Yes. I already know you all can contact each other using your connection. So establishing a connection with her shouldn't be impossible for you to do so. Isn't that right?"
Lilith narrowed her eyes, observing Vahn. Sometimes she couldn't understand just how his brain functioned to allow him to think so far ahead and so deep.
It was he who had proposed taking the disguise of Damien; it was he who maintained the disguise so flawlessly; and he had even tricked the entire Infernal Clan into believing he had the Fire Affinity when he did not.
His intelligence and craftiness shocked her often times. Nevertheless, she knew that cunning and strength both makes a person undefeatable, so she couldn't complain.
The stronger he grew, the better she felt. In the past, she might have been worried about his rapidly increasing power, but ever since their goals aligned, she wished to see him grow strong enough to destroy everything her mother had built.
"Alright. Let's do this then," she conceded. "Time for you to meet the Saintess of Fire."

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC70: Flama Astoria
Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Flama Astoria
Under Vahn's calm eyes, Lilith performed some kind of secret Art of Darkness. With a deep, resonant hum, a black mirror instantly buzzed into life, looking ancient and powerful. It was a disc of pure, solidified shadow, radiating ancient energy.
"This is the Gateway of Souls," Lilith explained, her voice low and focused. "Let me connect with Flama, then you will enter inside. But remember, only your Soul can transfer to the other side, which will limit your actions to some extent."
Vahn nodded seriously, acknowledging the danger and the limitations. Yet, his gaze was fixed on the mirror, a strong curiosity overriding his caution. He wondered what the Saintess of Fire looked like.
Though their Marriage Ritual had been broken, Vahn could still see all the bonds listed in his system interface. They hadn't been removed at all. It was as if their connection was something beyond that petty Ritual, something far older. He was determined to discover the truth of it all.
Suddenly, a domineering voice echoed from the black mirror. "Lilith! You dare to breach the sacred barrier?"
Lilith replied first in her cold, authoritative voice, "Silence, Flama. I am not here for an attack. I am here to let you meet someone."
"Who? I don't want meet anyone. I am very busy!"
Following the annoyed reply, the mirror's surface shifted, reflecting the face of a young maiden. Vahn finally got to see her: Flama Astoria, the Saintess of Fire. Her features were sharp, powerful, and currently etched with deep frustration and impatience.
"Go!" Lilith commanded, her tone final.
With Lilith's signal, Vahn's soul detached from his disguised body, rushing forward in a pure stream of conscious energy. He entered the churning shadows of the Gateway of Souls.
When he regained his vision, he found himself inside a small countryside house where smell of herbs and medicines were heavy.
"Pervert! Hooligan! Hide your disgusting part at once!"
The young woman before him suddenly screamed with utter fluster and deep disgust.
Only then did Vahn realize: He was in his Soul form, but not in Damien's face. He was the glowing projection of his original self; and completely naked.
Slightly embarrassed despite being a projection of consciousness, he quickly wrapped a towel around his waist using pure spiritual energy.
But once he saw her appearance, even Vahn couldn't help but stare.
Even though he didn't care too much about outside beauty...she was truly a sight of breathtaking beauty.
She had a calm and graceful aura that felt almost otherworldly. Her long, smooth red hair fell straight down her back, shining brightly in the sunlight.
A golden crown rested on her head, decorated with delicate red flowers and elegant designs that made her look royal and divine.
She wore a flowing red robe with golden details, the fabric soft and light. Her skin was pale and flawless, glowing softly against the rich color of her clothes. Around her wrists and neck, she wore golden bangles and jewelry that shimmered with every small movement.
Most importantly, Vahn noted her slightly pointy long ears, which most probably a mark of a higher bloodline.
Currently, she was holding a golden object carefully in her hands, looking both alert and furiously insulted.
"You! The heretic! The Demon's Child!" Flama spat, recognizing his face instantly. "Lilith, what twisted game is this? I will destroy his soul!"
"Calm down, Flama Astoria," Vahn said, trying to smooth things over. "I merely wish to speak some truth to you. Your elders are using you. The Forbidden Marriage Ritual was a lie. I was bound to you all not as a husband, but as a sacrifice to drain my power."
"Lies! Demonic Lies! We are protector of righteousness. The elders would never do such a thing," Flama projected, her spiritual form trembling with conviction and terror.
"It's not a lie... and you know it very well," Vahn's voice dropped into a sad, wounded tone, entirely focused on manipulating her sense of duty and guilt.
"Our marriage pact might be broken, but can you bear to see me hunted like a dog? What did I do wrong? How can you all treat me like this?"
Flama's furious expression faltered under his disheartened words. The sight of the innocent, vulnerable projection of Vahn's soul made her hesitate.
Thinking the iron was hot, Vahn proceeded to solidify his position. "Still, I am not asking you to join us. Nor go against your 'respectable' elders. I just want to talk to you for a while."
He had successfully turned the confrontation into a personal plea, leveraging her innate sense of fairness and the shock of the elders' betrayal.
Flama Astoria slowly lowered her head, her fiery aura diminishing completely. The revelation of her elders' betrayal was a severe spiritual wound, but she maintained a facade of unwavering composure.
"Whatever," she projected, her voice flat. "You can talk whatever you want. But don't expect any reply from me. I am busy with my work."
Saying that, she put away the golden object and got busy with the items on the table. The small room was filled with various vials and apparatus.
Vahn leaned closer, watching the colorful liquids contained within the glass bottles. Strangely, some of them felt intensely familiar to him.
"Huh, isn't that Nitrogen Dioxide? And that Carbon Dioxide and Ammonium?" Vahn blurted out, his curiosity overriding his caution. Though he hadn't studied very far on Earth, he was knowledgeable enough in the basics of chemistry to recognize the compounds' states and colors.
Hearing his blabbering, Flama turned and scoffed at once, her composure breaking at the insult to her craft.
"Don't speak nonsense when you know nothing. They are called Death Breath, Aetheren, and Transmutite," she retorted, correcting his nomenclature with instant indignation.
Though she had just said she wouldn't speak to him, when it came to her passionate subject, alchemy, she couldn't sit idly by.
Vahn instantly understood that she was also a Passionate Alchemist, a secret identity beyond the Saintess of Fire the world knew.
Vahn seized the opportunity, realizing her passion was his new entry point. He quickly dropped the act of the victim and adopted the persona of an interested scholar.
"My apologies, Saintess Flama," Vahn said, his voice carrying a trace of genuine excitement. "I meant no disrespect. It's just that the crystalline pattern and volatile essence of your 'Death Breath' remind me of something I once read in ancient alchemical texts. They spoke of a miraculous potion that could make anyone laugh uncontrollably. Would you allow me to demonstrate it for you?"
Flama hesitated for only a moment, "A potion that makes anyone laugh? Are you saying the truth?"
"Completely," Vahn replied, smiling with confidence. "It may sound foolish, but its composition is both elegant and precise. I'd like to show you, if you'll permit it."
"Very well. Show it to me then, Vahn Necrotis. If your so-called 'miracle potion' truly exists, I will judge it myself."
Vahn nodded, widening. "Then watch closely, Saintess. Alchemy isn't always about destruction; it can bring joy too."
Flama's lips curved faintly, creating a mesmerizing beauty. "We'll see about that. First let's witness your miraculous potion. You have my full attention."

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC71: Fire Arts
Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Fire Arts
Vahn went to work, his spirit sense and knowledge of earthly chemistry allowing him to manipulate the spiritual essences on the table. He used Flama's compounds, applying his knowledge of basic chemical reactions to produce a refined, concentrated spiritual vapor.
He mentally followed the procedure he performed in his high school days—the synthesis of a compound known as "laughing gas" (Nitrous Oxide). As the familiar sequence of mixing and purifying occurred, a wave of nostalgia washed over
Vahn was briefly reminded him of his past life.
Finally, he successfully contained the gaseous spiritual essence within a small, fragile vial.
"Ready, Saintess?" Vahn asked, a mischievous glint in his spiritual eyes.
Before Flama could fully reply, Vahn deliberately broke the vial. The concentrated, volatile spiritual gas instantly dispersed throughout the small spiritual room.
The effect was instantaneous and overwhelming.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Vahn and Flama instantly burst into wild, uncontrollable laughter. The uncontrollable laughter was infectious and all-consuming. Flama's fierce posture dissolved as she clutched her stomach. Vahn, unable to stand, rolled onto the ground laughing, glancing at the beautiful Saintess who was also rolling in helpless mirth. The Alchemical room was momentarily turned into a bizarre playground.
Outside the spiritual connection, Lilith watched this bizarre scene on the black mirror calmly, though a subtle twitch of envy passed between her brows. She had never seen such a chaotic, innocent exchange of emotion.
After several minutes, the spiritual gas dissipated, leaving both Vahn and Flama exhausted, their laughter slowly fading into breathless chuckles.
Flama slowly sat up, wiping a tear from her eye. She looked at Vahn, not with the hatred of a Saintess, but with genuine interest and profound amusement.
"Incredible! I've studied countless poisons and transmutations, but never an essence so simple yet so... effective!" Flama praised him. Her so-called Husband was really something else. He was a being capable of both immense power and bizarre, unexpected joy.
The combination of Vahn's vulnerable plea, his devastating truth, and his unexpected charm had shattered the last of Flama's preconceptions.

[ Rewards Gained: Fire Affinity Unlocked, Ninefold Heavenly Flame ]
> Ninefold Heavenly Flames: It's a type of Spirit Flame born from the fusion of nine elemental fires. Can refine spirit materials into top-grade pills, medicines and artifacts by burning their flaws and impurities.
Awestruck, completely awestruck. The system reward was too generous. He could immediately imagine how invaluable the Ninefold Heavenly Flame would be for his cultivation and resource acquisition, especially now that he was fighting all the Holy Lands.
A tear of pure joy silently fell down Vahn's cheek amidst their fading laughter.
After the effects of the laughing gas fully wore off, Flama enthusiastically pulled Vahn over, requesting to see more incredible alchemy.
Vahn continued his demonstration, showing simple experiments rooted in Earth's concepts: the molecular construction of Fire and Water, and how they could be manipulated without relying on spiritual energy alone. This exposure to pure scientific principles opened a whole new world for Flama. Things she had never dreamed of imagining became possibilities.
With each passing interaction, their understanding and connection increased. Vahn, in turn, learned the basics of Pill Concoction using a Cauldron from the expert Saintess. In return, he shared his newly acquired heavenly flame.
"Heavenly Flame?" Flama uttered with genuine shock this time. "You are saying you have Heavenly Flame?"
"Why would I lie? Just watch."
Flashing a smile, he projected the brilliant, multicolored flame (mix of Green, Blue, White, Red, Yellow, Indigo, Purple, Violet, and Black) onto the large cauldron, instantly bringing it blazing to life. The herbs inside became purified to perfection under the absolute heat, allowing Flama to forge pills of a much higher grade than before.
After witnessing all these mind blowing talents from Vahn, Flama looked at him with genuine admiring eyes.
[ Emotional Connection: 20% (↑17.9%) ]
[ Physical Connection: 5% (↑3.8%) ]
[ Rewards Gained: Fire Affinity +100%, Infernal Spirit Summoning Art ]
"You have great talent for Alchemy, Vahn. Why don't you come over to our Alchemy Land? I can ask my father to make a plea on your behalf. You wouldn't have to run like this," she offered sincerely, looking at him with her phoenix-like eyes.
Vahn understood the depth of the offer. Flama was offering him protection within the esteemed Alchemy Land, as a sanctuary from his enemies. But why should he make a plea to those who had betrayed him? It was they who should be on their knees asking for his forgiveness.
"No need," Vahn denied, looking firm even as a spiritual projection. "This Vahn Necrotis has never bowed down to anyone, and it will continue like this until I have life in me."
This was the unshakable conviction of Vahn Necrotis. If he bowed his head to his enemies, how could he ever become the Strongest Immortal of all?
Flama looked into a difficult position. "But, how are you going to live like this? They will be able to find you one day eventually... And the Demonic Faction... They could also target you for their evil means." She looked genuinely worried while saying this.
"I know... But I won't give up. I will fight until I can stand as the Strongest."
"Ugh, why are you so stubborn?" Flama said angrily, looking like she was about to erupt very soon.
Plop!
The connection broke then, and Vahn's soul disappeared, leaving Flama with a profound sense of loss.
"What else should I do?" she muttered, a trace of sadness in her voice. "I can't betray my father and mother."
"What are you mumbling about, daughter? Who do you want to betray?"
Just then, a man entered the small house with a warm smile. It was Xion Astoria, the current Patriarch of Alchemy Land and Flama's father.
"Father..." Flama managed. "It's nothing... I was just talking to myself."
Flama forced herself into a cheerful mood, for some reason deciding not to tell him about Vahn's arrival.
"Oh, is that so?" Xion, though slightly suspicious, didn't force the issue.
Smiling, he added, "Anyway, how's the preparation for the Seven Saintesses Competition going, my dear? You're not completely neglecting your battle training because of your passion for alchemy, are you?"
"Of course not, Father. I have prepared myself well. In the coming competition, I will be the one who will win!"
"That's my daughter." Xion smiled proudly. "I believe you can. But I will be satisfied if you just secure a good spot. It's important if you want to access more resources from that Secret Realm."
"I am aware." Flama's focus sharpened instantly at the mention of the Secret Realm.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC72: Challenger Arena
Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Challenger Arena
Back in the Infernal Clan estate, Vahn opened his eyes. The surge of the Fire Affinity settled deep in his core.
Lilith stood near the wall, looking outside at the serene sky, acting as though she hadn't heard Vahn and Flama's entire bizarre conversation. Once she noticed Vahn's return, she turned back and dismissed the black mirror with a nonchalant wave of her hand.
Only then did she ask, "Did you get the Fire Seed from her?"
"Yes, kind of," Vahn replied with a mysterious smile. Lilith hadn't observed the full conversation, so she couldn't detect any hidden meaning in his twisted reply.
"That's good. But why didn't you try to bring her to our side while the iron was hot?"
"That won't work," Vahn replied calmly. "Anyone would choose their family over a stranger she barely knows."
Just then, he noticed Lilith clench her fist, a reaction he had learned to recognize as a deep, painful memory. Realizing his mistake, he clicked his tongue.
"Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you're unfilial or anything. Your condition is entirely different; I understand that."
Lilith snorted softly, though her expression eased a lot. "Whatever..."
She looked him directly in the eyes, adding, "Now then, since you have acquired the Fire Seed, go absorb it. Once you're done, I will take you to a place where you can fight humans. And within two days, you will be ready for the Seven Saintesses Competition."
"Wait... You want me to join the Seven Saintesses Competition? But why?" Vahn asked, finding the plan entirely new and incredibly bold.
Lilith sat down and explained patiently, "Because, if you can reach the top, and are chosen by one of the Saintesses, you can gain access to the Secret Realm. You can find many cultivation resources there. Since I cannot openly join, you'll have to be the one to gather resources for me."
"I see..." Vahn nodded, his curiosity piqued. The idea of competing was exciting, but the adventure was even more thrilling. "What is this Secret Realm, actually?"
Lilith's crossed her legs elegantly, then explained,
"The Secret Realm, or the Heavenly Treasury of the Holy Lands, is a remnant world left behind by the founders of the Seven Great Holy Lands. It's not just a collection of resources; it's a stable pocket dimension that opens once every few decades, tied to the spiritual cycle of the Saintesses."
She continued, emphasizing its importance:
"It's filled with Heaven and Earth treasures, ancient cultivation methods, rare spirit materials, and energy dense enough to propel a cultivator multiple stages forward. The Holy Lands use it to rapidly advance their chosen disciples and maintain their dominance."
"Access is highly restricted. Only the top competitors chosen by the Saintesses during the competition are allowed inside. They are then tasked with gathering resources for their respective Saintess."
A dangerous ambition flashed in her eyes.
"Since the Seven Saintesses Competition is only open to the disciples from Seven Holy Lands, you will need to join one of them again. But this time as Damien Infernos. It will be the perfect cover. You will be fighting legitimately, rise in rank, and access a treasury the Holy Lands believe is solely theirs. The resources you gather will fund our ultimate plan against them."
Hearing her, Vahn felt a heavy sense of responsibility. But as a man how could he disappoint his woman.
"Don't worry, I steal everything belonging to them."
---
That afternoon, Vahn took the lavish carriage and headed toward the battle arena Lilith had instructed. The journey, however, was not the solo, stealthy trip he'd planned.
The place was called the Challenger Arena. Here, many rogue cultivators and members of influential families participated to hone their battle arts and refine their combat skills. It was a perfect, contained environment to rapidly gain combat experience.
Vahn had wanted to come alone, but instead, an unexpected leash was handed to his hand.
Inside the carriage, Damien's little sister, Delilah Infernos, sat beside him on the back seat, clinging to his arm with an excited face. And before them, his two personal maids, Lily and Maria, tagged along to watch over Delilah while he fought. The entourage solidified his identity as the privileged, high-status Young Master.
"Big Brother, I can't believe you've become so strong," Delilah chirped, excitement radiating from her. "You will fight in the Arena today. I am really excited!"
Vahn kept his expression stern, maintaining the Damien persona. "Hold your horses, Delilah. I am going for enriching my battle experience. Not on a picnic tour. So you must behave and stay with Lily and Maria. Don't wander off alone," he strictly reminded her.
Delilah grinned, unfazed by his severity. "Hehe... Brother is so different today. He is actually worried about me. Did you see that, Lily and Maria?" She childishly looked toward the two young maids, who simply nodded and smiled submissively.
"Young mistress is correct. Young Master Damien changed a lot. But it's a good change," Maria said warmly.
"Shut Up. I haven't changed. I just want to be stronger. After my failure at the White Lotus Sanctuary, I have been continuously mocked and humiliated. Even my lackeys talked filth behind my bacs. How can I endure this?
Since then, I have vowed to change. I vowed to join the very Holy Land that rejected me. I will have to stay focused to that goal.
"Young Master, you are absolutely correct to be focused," Lily said, her voice soft. "But your strength, it is undeniable. We feel it even now."
"Indeed, Young Master Damien," Maria added with shining eyes. "I have a hunch that the Infernal Clan is going to rise above all, with you leading the way. You have nothing to worry about."
Their praise came from their hearts. Vahn hadn't mistreated them once ever since he took disguise.
If it were the original Damien, he would have abused them Verbally and Sexually by now.
Vahn knew behaving the same as Damien was right choice, but he couldn't betray his conscious and character. He wasn't Damien. He was Vahn Necrotis with a broken Soul inside.
Vahn simply nodded, accepting their servitude and the safety it provided.
"No need to flatter me. Just stay vigilant and ensure Delilah causes no trouble."
"As you wish, young master."
The carriage soon pulled up, and Vahn stepped out, instantly drawing many eyes. He and his entourage walked toward the entrance, leading them into a large, circular arena packed with spectators from Fire Cloud City and neighboring regions. The crowd was a mix of wealthy merchants, rogue cultivators, and family members of fighters, all buzzing with aggressive energy.
The atmosphere was a chaotic blend of bloodlust and excitement.
Vahn, already accustomed to the constant scrutiny, led Delilah and the maids toward the luxury viewing boxes.
"Lily, Maria, take her up. I will register now,"
Vahn commanded, earning a firm "Yes" from the maids.
He then strode toward the registration booth. The official, a burly, scarred man, recognized the Infernal Clan's symbol immediately.
"Young Master Damien. Its an honor to have you here. Are you here to spectate, or..."
"I'm here to fight," Vahn stated, imitating Damien's arrogance. "I want the opponents coming as long as I am not defeated."
