Chapter 31: Chapter 31: More Rewards
The Treasure Hall Master had been forced to knock Vahn unconscious as a desperate measure. Otherwise, the young man would have been beaten to death under his wrath.
But such brutality could not be ignored. The Hall Master immediately filed a complaint to Vahn's instructor in charge, Elder Orsted.
Soon, the news spread among the Upper Echelons. Yet, when it came to punishment, their hands were tied.
After all, Vahn was no ordinary disciple. He was the Saintess' spouse.
Because of this, they could not impose severe punishment without offending Seraphina herself. Instead, they began to think of alternative ways to discipline him, ways that would not directly provoke her wrath.
When Vahn opened his eyes, he was greeted by the familiar cavern ceiling of Seraphina's cultivation cave.
Something soft pressed against the back of his head, and an intoxicating, natural fragrance filled his nose. A unique pheromone that stirred his body and calmed his soul at once.
There was only one woman in the world with such a scent.
Seraphina.
Her sapphire-blue eyes gazed at him with quiet warmth, her slender fingers gently combing through his hair as his head rested on her soft lap.
"You are awake, Vahn?" she asked softly.
Vahn closed his eyes again, refusing to move. If he answered, she would make him sit up, and he would lose the heavenly pillow of her lap. He was not willing to give that up.
A faint smile tugged at Seraphina's lips. Seeing through his little act, she poked his cheek.
"What should I do with you, Vahn? You are always getting into trouble. Every time I hear your name, there is some new mess attached to it," she said with gentle reproach, though her tone carried more care than blame.
Still, Vahn kept his eyes shut, feigning ignorance.
Seraphina sighed, caught between exasperation and affection. Her hand lingered in his hair, as though she could not bring herself to scold him too harshly.
"At least tell me what happened this time? Why did you beat that outer court disciple so badly?"
Vahn finally opened his eyes, gazing onto her beautiful face.
"He insulted you," Vahn said flatly. "That bastard dared to speak filth about you, Seraphina. How could I let him walk away with his teeth intact? I would rather be punished a hundred times than allow anyone to stain your name."
His voice was calm, yet the torrents of rage and protectiveness in it was unmistakable.
Seraphina's hand paused in his hair. For a long moment, she just stared at him, her blue eyes shimmering with complicated emotions.
"Idiot..." she whispered at last, her lips curving into a faint, helpless smile. "Do you think I care about the words of some foolish boy? His mouth is filth, but my dignity is not so fragile that it depends on what others say."
Vahn turned his head slightly to look up at her. His expression softened, but his voice remained stubborn.
"Maybe you don't care. But I do. You are my wife, Seraphina. If anyone dares to slander you, then my fists will be the only answer."
Her heart trembled. She had heard countless vows in her life, countless flattering words. But Vahn's were different. They carried no pretense, no flowery decoration—just the raw, unshakable determination of a man who meant every word.
Seraphina's chest rose and fell gently, and she exhaled a faint sigh. She caressed his cheek, her touch as soft as moonlight.
"You fool... You are reckless, far too reckless. Do you not realize? The moment you let your anger control you, you lose. You nearly killed that disciple today. If not for the Hall Master's intervention, you would be in a prison cell instead of my lap."
Vahn frowned, but before he could speak, she pressed her finger lightly against his lips.
"I am not saying I am displeased," she admitted, her eyes lowering for a moment. "In truth... it touches me that you care so much. But, Vahn, if you truly wish to protect me, then grow stronger. So strong that no one dares to utter a word against me, against us. Strength will silence them all. Not mad rage."
Her tender and resolute words echoed in the quiet cave.
Hearing her words, Vahn's heart beat faster. The slowly, he sat up from her lap, meeting her gaze head-on.
Clenching his fist, he spoke:
"Then I will, I will grow stronger than anyone in this sect. Strong enough that no one dares to even breathe your name with disrespect. That is my promise to you."
Seraphina looked at him, her sapphire eyes glowing faintly with a warmth she rarely revealed. For the first time, she leaned forward, her forehead lightly touching his.
"Then I will wait and see if you can keep that promise, Vahn."
[ Congratulations! Your physical connection with Seraphina Dawnlight increased by 20%. Emotional connection increased by 5%. ]
[ Rewards gained: 3x Bottles of Heaven-Grade Body Tempering Liquid, Light Affinity +50% ]
After seeing the notifications, Vahn felt as if he were soaring among the clouds. Not only had he experienced Seraphina's warmth, but he had also received generous rewards. Three full bottles of Heaven-Grade Body Tempering Liquid appeared in his storage, more than enough to complete his Body Tempering.
Feeling satisfied, Vahn walked down the mountain toward his living quarters, eager to begin his Organ Tempering.
Seraphina, meanwhile, watched his retreating back with a faint sense of bewilderment.
Just moments ago, she had probed Vahn's body and had been shocked to discover that he was already close to completing his Body Tempering. And not just any Body Tempering. His foundation was flawless.
Yes, she had always believed he was talented, but talent alone could never produce a flawless Body Tempering. It required vast heavenly resources, the kind even she struggled to acquire. The Patriarch and Supreme Elders had gone to great lengths to ensure her own Body Tempering had been flawless.
So how had Vahn achieved it in just three days?
She had no answer. Clearly, he carried a secret that she was not yet privy to.
Nevertheless, she felt happy. Initially, she had been prepared to search for heavenly resources to help Vahn complete his Body Tempering. Now she realized it was no longer necessary.
Her lips moved in a quiet whisper, her voice filled with a yearning she rarely showed.
"Vahn, I know you hold a great secret and you're not ready to tell me yet. But I hope that one day we will be able to share everything openly, like true partners in life. After all, you are all I have left in the name of a family."
Her soft words lingered in the air of the cave, gentle and sincere.

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Vicious Powerplay
Inside his quiet hut, Vahn hurriedly began the final stage of body tempering.
The process was just like the previous ones: mix the Heaven-Grade liquid with water, circulate it through the meridians, and guide the overwhelming vitality to temper his organs, both internal and external.
Agony followed instantly.
His heart throbbed like a war drum, each beat sending waves of pain and power through his chest. His lungs expanded to the limit, drawing in air until they felt like twin furnaces burning within him. His stomach and liver churned as if hammered by countless strikes and his kidneys vibrated with an unbearable heat.
But, Vahn endured.
With 30 minutes of relentless torment, the final impurities were expelled. The torment was over. And his organs now glowed with radiant vitality.
When he finally opened his eyes, his body seemed to radiate a divine aura. Every line of muscle, every fiber of sinew, looked as though sculpted by the hands of gods. His skin shimmered faintly with a luster no mortal could possess. His bones hummed faintly with strength, and his blood coursed like molten fire.
With this final stage, he had shed his mortal shell.
Ding!
[ Body Tempering Complete: Flawless Grade ]
[ Your Bond Seraphina Dawnlight's Physique Strengthened slightly ]
"So, that's how the sharing function works," he mused inwardly. "My growth also grants blessings to my bonds, but it is I who reaps the greatest fortune from them."
He clenched fist.
He felt light yet unshakable, as if he could tear boulders apart with his bare hands.
Most importantly, he was now ready to begin the true cultivation.
Body tempering was nothing but preparation stage. It was about building a vessel capable of withstanding and storing spiritual energy.
His vessel was complete. His dantian throbbed faintly in anticipation, like an empty starry sky waiting to be filled.
But to draw spirit energy, he needed a cultivation manual, which he unfortunately did not have.
However, he had been told that once he completed body tempering, he would be given a free cultivation manual from the Scripture Hall.
That was why he headed to the Scripture Hall next.
Outside, the twilight welcomed him in its reddish hues across the sky, signaling that evening had already fallen.
When he arrived in front of the massive Scripture Hall, he saw disciples going in and out, making the place feel lively.
The Scripture Hall was a massive, circular-shaped temple—a three-story building made of polished stone and jade.
It looked awe-inspiring, radiating the aura of an establishment that carried ancient knowledge and wisdom long forgotten.
Vahn's hear pounded with anticipation.
With excitement, he entered through the main entrance immediately.
But it wasn't long before he was stopped by two law enforcement officers.
"Newbie?"
Vahn nodded.
"Then go there to register yourself. And then state your reason for entering. Only then you can proceed further," one of them ordered, pointing toward a woman seated at the registration desk.
Vahn nodded again and went over.
The woman was moderately beautiful, appearing to be in her mid-thirties, though the presence of her strong aura was unmistakable.
The pair of square-shaped glasses perched on her nose added an air of authoritative dominance.
Vahn approached the desk and spoke with a respectful tone:
"Excuse me, I have just completed my Body Tempering. According to the sect rules, I should be entitled to receive a free cultivation manual from the Scripture Hall."
The woman behind the desk adjusted her glasses and studied him for a long moment. Her judgemental gaze fell upon as measuring his Cultivation.
"Hmm... you certainly have a good foundation. What's your name? Which batch are you from?"
"My name is Vahn Woodinson, currently under elder Orsted's Tutelage." Vahn answered.
But the woman seemed to not know him, which is not a good news.
After checking some documents, she spoke,
"Very well. You may proceed. But remember this, only the first floor is accessible to you. The second and third floors are forbidden. Those are reserved for Inner Court disciples, Core disciples, and the sect's top geniuses. Do not overstep, or you will be punished severely."
Her voice carried enough pressure that even the nearby officers looked slightly uneasy.
Vahn bowed politely, though inwardly his heart sank.
So I can only browse the first floor...
With those thoughts, he entered the Scripture Hall.
The first floor stretched wide, lined with countless shelves made of darkwood, each carrying scrolls and bound jade slips. The internal atmosphere was ancient but clean, with mix of fragrance of ink and sandalwood.
However, when he reached the Cultivation Manual section, his disappointment increased further. The highest available here were Earth Grade manuals, though still valuable compared to anything outside.
A few titles caught his eye:
★ Nine Veins Spirit Refinement Scripture (Earth-High)
★ Silent Lotus Breathing Sutra (Earth-High)
★ Steel Marrow Tempering Canon (Earth-High)
★ Azure River Flowing Qi Art (Earth-High)
Each of them was respectable in its own right, capable of accelerating one's cultivation speed and strengthening different aspects of the body and dantian.
But Vahn knew well that above Earth Grade there existed Spirit Grade, Saint Grade, and the rare Heaven Grade cultivation manuals.
Those exalted scriptures offered far more than just faster progress. They shaped destinies. They carved paths free of bottlenecks, ensuring smoother breakthroughs and paving the way to ascend beyond mortal limits. To possess one was to hold the key to greatness.
And there was one iron law in cultivation: a person could follow only a single manual in their lifetime. Once chosen, that path became their fate. To waste it on a lesser scripture was to chain one's own future.
The upper echelons knew this truth. They could have easily granted him access to better manuals. Instead, they confined him to the lowest shelves, as if mocking his potential.
It was deliberate. Cruel. A move meant to bury his rise before it could even begin.
Vahn's lips curled faintly as this understanding crystallized in his mind.
They want me to remain beneath their feet. They fear what I could become.
So he played along. Without hesitation, he picked a random low-grade Earth manual from the shelf, feigning submission to their design. To the watching eyes, it would seem his path had been sealed, his fate diminished.
He walked out quietly, yet within him a storm raged. A tsunami of fury and defiance boiled in his chest, one he forced down for now.
Very well. Let them think their scheme has succeeded. But the day will come when I demand answers... and when that day arrives, it will not be kind to them.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC33: Tower Of Primodials
Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Tower Of Primodials
That night, something miraculous occurred.
Vahn was searing cross-legged in silence, the borrowed Earth-grade manual open before him. Though he had no intention of committing his life to it, he still wished to understand how cultivation manuals functioned. Knowledge, after all, was never wasted.
He followed the manual's initial instructions, sinking into meditation. This was the fundamental step: attuning oneself to the world, breathing in rhythm, and opening the senses to the unseen flow of spirit energy.
At first, everything was normal. He was breathing slowly. His eyes were closed, mind calm as his awareness stretched outward.
Then, without warning, the air around him began to glow.
He opened his eyes in disbelief.
Spirit energy gathered in waves, condensing so thickly it resembled a glittering mist. Threads of light drifted through the air, curling and dancing as though the night itself had awakened.
His heart pounded seeing this phenomena.
This... this isn't normal.
He knew enough to be certain. Spirit energy was the invisible force that sustained the world, nourishing heaven, earth, and life itself. To mortals, it was imperceptible. Even cultivators who had not yet developed spirit sense could only feel its faint touch, never see it.
Yet here it was, manifested before his very eyes, flocking to him as if he were its natural center.
It was a phenomena that should be impossible for a beginner in Qi Refining like him.
There could only be two explanations for what he experienced. Either his flawless tempering had elevated his innate talent to an extraordinary level, or it was the mysterious effect of his Void Refining Physique.
Whichever it was, the result thrilled him beyond words. He truly possessed top notch qualifications to walk the path of Qi Refining.
But excitement alone was not enough.
He knew the dangers of acting rashly. If he attempted to refine spirit energy without the guidance of a proper cultivation manual, the consequences would be disastrous. Spirit energy was both nourishment and blade. Any misguided circulation could rupture his meridians, shatter his foundation, even cripple his dantian forever.
No matter how much his body yearned for that first breath of Qi, he could not risk it.
He had to wait.
---
Next day at dawn, he climbed the path toward Saintess Peak once more. The morning sun painted the skies gold, but the disciples he passed only saw red. Their jealous stares followed him like daggers, grinding their teeth at the sight of the man who dared approach their goddess so freely.
Vahn ignored them all, his steps calm and unshaken.
At the summit, Zephya once again moved to block his way. Her cold eyes flashed with warning, but this time he did not even spare her a glance. Without pause, he walked past her into the cave.
Inside, he wasted no time with pleasantries. He told Seraphina everything. His completion of body tempering, his problem, and his need.
Seraphina listened quietly, her serene blue eyes steady, no longer surprised by his rapid growth.
When he finished, she tilted her head slightly and asked in soft tone,
"So, you want a high-grade cultivation manual?"
"Yes," Vahn answered without hesitation. "But not just any high-grade manual. At the very least, it should be Heaven grade. If you don't have it, I won't press you. Just tell me how I can obtain one, and that will be enough."
The words left his mouth firmly, without shame. Once, he would have never dared to make such a request, fearing it rude or outrageous. But now, things had changed.
They had grown close. He had seen her warmth, and she had seen his resolve.
She was his wife. His life companion
And in his heart, there was nothing wrong with asking for help from someone he had already accepted as his own.
Besides, he wasn't demanding one from her. He only sought a path, a clue that could guide him forward.
That was all he needed.
Seraphina noticed the change in Vahn's attitude. He was no longer hesitant, no longer meek in his requests. And strangely, that made her happy.
"I do have a Heaven Grade cultivation manual, Vahn," she admitted softly. "But it is a healer's art. My path will not suit you. Still, if you wish, I can request the Patriarch to get another one on your behalf."
Vahn's eyes narrowed and then shook his head firmly.
"No. I don't want you to plead for me. Just tell me another way I can get one."
His refusal was sharp, yet his resolve clear.
Seraphina was not surprised. She was intelligent enough to realize there was something unsaid between Vahn and the upper authorities, a silent struggle he wasn't ready to explain. Still, her eyes showed only support, no judgment.
"Alright," she said after a pause, her tone turning serious. "Since you insist, I will tell you about one place where you may find what you seek."
Vahn leaned forward slightly, unable to hide the impatience in his voice.
"Where?"
Her gaze deepened as she revealed,
"The Tower of Primordials."
Vahn frowned.
"Tower of Primordials?" he repeated in confusion.
The name alone sounded ancient and heavy, yet he had never heard of such a place. Although, that was to be expected from a person who never left his village.
"Yes," Seraphina explained. "It is a tower of unforgiving trials. There are exactly 100 floors in total, each filled with challenges and rewards. Practitioners enter it to temper their battle skills, but many risk their lives chasing its tempting treasures. Countless people dies in the doung.
But do not be alarmed. You will not need to climb just yet. On Floor Zero lies the Entrance Trial. It judges participant's potential and talent. If the tower acknowledges you, it will grant extraordinary rewards. That could be your chance to obtain the manual you seek."
Her expression suddenly turned grave.
"But the tower is under the jurisdiction of the Dark Sun Empire. That land belongs to the Darkness Creed, home of Saintess Lilith Moonveil. If they discover who you are and decide to harm you, even I would be powerless to protect you. Think carefully, Vahn. There are safer paths."
Vahn contemplated in silence.
She was right. There were easier ways. Such as waiting for his system to grant a suitable reward.
Yet as he listened, something stirred within him. An instinct, a whisper from deep within his bones, told him that the Tower awaited him. That his destiny had a thread tied to that place.
And in that moment, his mind was set.
He would go to the Dark Sun Empire.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC34: Tower Of Primodials (2)
Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Tower Of Primodials (2)
Seraphina's eyes expressed understanding as she saw the determination in Vahn's gaze. But there was a faint worry in her heart.
She wanted to say something, to warn him more, but she knew he had already made up his mind.
"I don't think I can stop you now?" she murmured more to herself than to him.
Vahn let out a faint smile and said,
"I'll be fine, Seraphina. Besides, I can't ignore the attraction I feel to that place. The Tower of Primordials is the pace where I need to go."
Seraphina let out a faint sigh. Her eyes searched his face as if trying to read the depths of his decision.
But he found no hesitation, no fear.
Finally, she reached into a drawer beside her and took out a jade slip. It was emerald green in color that glowed faintly in the soft light of the cave.
"This is for your journey, Vahn." she handed the strnage object to him with grace.
Vahn took the slip with some confusion. It felt slightly cold and smooth on his fingers.
He raised an eyebrow at her and asked,
"What is this?"
"This is a specially crafted travel artifact. Once you activate it, you will be directly transferred in front of the Tower of Primordials.
And If you ever find yourself in life-threatening danger there, just channel some Spiritual Qi into it and it will bring you back here safety. It's a useful tool. So use it wisely"
Vahn looked greatly impressed.
"So, it's like a two-directional teleportation device?"
She nodded in affirmation.
"You're correct. But don't worry about wasting it. I have plenty. And if you don't return within a reasonable time frame, I will come for you personally. I don't care about the consequences. I want you safe no matter what."
Her firm voice left no room for argument.
Vahn felt something more than gratification.
"This is incredible! I'll make sure to use it wisely as you said."
The very idea of traveling such a great distance in an instant seemed almost unbelievable.
But if she had said it, this had to be true.
Calming his excitement, he looked at Seraphina again.
"Then, I'll go and make my preparations for departure. I don't want to wait any longer."
Seraphina's sighed again. A helpless sigh.
"Be safe, Vahn. And don't forget—what you do in that Tower, it's more than just about strength. Remember your heart, no matter what challenges you face."
Vahn gave her a confident smile, "I won't forget. And don't worry, I'll be back before you know it."
With that, he turned and began walking toward the exit of the cave.
Seraphina watched him go in silence. She felt a mixture of pride and worry in her chest. He was ready, she knew that. But the dangers awaiting him were beyond her control. Still, the fact that he was willing to go at all told her everything she needed to know about his resolve.
"Good luck, Vahn. I'll be waiting for you."
She whispered in barely audible voice, but her growing affection was clear.
---
Vahn hurriedly went to prepare himself. Although his preparation was nothing too grand.
He just picked up a low-grade saber from the training ground. That's the only equipment he had access to.
Only now did he feel the need for powerful weapons and equipment.
If only he had a spirit weapon, he could unleash skills more effectively.
Till now he was only reliant on the system to give him some weapons and equipment. But now he realized, perhaps he shouldn't always expect the System to help him all the time.
The System Rewards are good... extraordinary to be specific. But for certain things, from now on he decided to take them into his own hand.
But for now, he had to satisfy with the steel Saber.
His preparation was complete.
So without delay, he activated the transportation artifact by injecting a trace of spirit energy into the jade slip.
"Buzz!"
Instantly, a low buzzing sound echoed from the jade slip.
Then, under his astonished eyes a blue sphere of spiritual energy wrapped around him in a protective cocoon.
In the next instant, before he could blink, the cocoon vanished, so as well Vahn.
His eyes were flooded with multicolored lights, and his body felt as though it were piercing through the fabrics of space.
Fortunately, there was no pain, only a slight discomfort in his eyes. But when he closed them, even that disappeared.
For a few seconds he felt as though he was drifting into an endless ocean—out of time, out of reality.
But all of a sudden, he felt something solid under his feet. The atmosphere around him also returned to normal.
When he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a towering construct, looming over him like a mountain.
His mouth formed an O shape in surprise.
It was so huge, so tall, that it nearly stole his breath away. It pierced through the clouds, and even then, the top could not be seen.
Standing before it, he felt insignificantly small, like an ant looking up at an elephant.
But he was not alone there.
Many other humans in different robes and with different demeanors roamed around. Some were enjoying the landscape view, some sat in meditation, while others entered and exited the tower in steady waves.
The entrance was a massive stone door, opened just slightly to allow people to pass through and face the trials within.
On each side of the door, alphabets of an ancient tongue were engraved, though he could not comprehend their meaning.
"Hey, brother, are you also here to test your talent?"
A young man with white hair tied into a bun suddenly called out to Vahn.
"Yes," Vahn replied curtly, then stepped forward into the tower without sparing him another glance.
Yet the white-haired boy trailed after him like a shadow.
"Wait up, brother. My name is Valzar. I'm also here to test my talent like you. If I'm lucky, maybe a higher-level sect will recognize me. If they take me in, life will become so much easier."
The boy named Valzar chattered on, his words spilling out without pause.
But to Vahn, it was as though the boy didn't exist. He had no time for idle talk, no space for meaningless bonds. He wasn't here to make friends. He was here to win. And in his eyes, everyone who walked into that tower was a rival.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC35: The Judge's Trial
Chapter 35: Chapter 35: The Judge's Trial
Ground Zero was a vast white platform. Everywhere Vahn's eyes wandered, all he could see were white stone pillars and cultivators moving about.
At the very center stood a colossal stone statue, approximately 200 meters tall.
It had eight arms, two legs, and a face shaped like that of a human. Its physique was carved with the perfection of a Greek god, every muscle brimming with strength. One of its massive hands gripped a scepter, adding to the aura of power and dominance it radiated.
Even so, it was only a statue. That realization eased Vahn's nerves slightly. For a moment, he had feared it might come alive. If it did, he was certain it could crush every one of them like insects.
"That's the judge," Valzar informed Vahn in a nervous tone. "It judges our potential mercilessly, but rewards only the worthy."
Vahn appreciated the information with a small nod. And as his gaze turned ahead, he noticed a lot of people, young or old, gathered around the statue in a circular formation.
Sometimes they cheered; sometimes their faces spoke of loss.
"Let's go, Silent Guy. We should join in too."
Saying that, Valzar rushed toward the circle of crowds.
Vahn followed soon after. The Jade Slip was still in his belt. If any life-threatening incident occurs, he could use it to escape.
Anyway, both of them somehow manage to squeeze through the circle.
Ahead of them participants walked toward the statue, their faces visibly distorted because of the palpating pressure radiating from the statue.
The function was simple. Get closer to the statue as much as possible. Similar to the Holy Ascension Stairway.
After asking around, Vahn learned that there are exactly 49 steps from the starting circle. Once someone reaches 25 steps, then a reward is guaranteed. And after that, with each step, the rarity of reward increases significantly.
There are even rumors that someone had received a Heaven Grade Cultivation Physique after crossing the 40th step.
But it was also said that no one had been able to reach 49 steps or touch the Judge's Statue.
So the difficulty level could be imagined.
It meant only for the talented ones.
Just as Vahn was about to step forward, a commotion broke out among the onlookers.
"Oh Heavens! Isn't that the 7th Prince, Helix Sunborn?"
"Yes, and not only him. The Sixth Princess, Camilia Sunborn is here too."
"Hey hey, can't your dog see the new Holy Son of the Darkness Creed?"
"Huh, you're right. He is indeed Holy Son Rudra. But what are these esteemed figures doing here? Do they also want to go through the Judge's Trial?"
"Hmph, why else, peasants? Move aside!" A sudden bark echoed lik thunder.
It came from the entourage following the three royals. They began to make a way for the trio, shoving the people with arrogance and disdain.
"What are you gawking at? Move away, peasant!"
Vahn was violently shoved aside, treated like an abandoned trash can on the way. He stumbled but quickly regained his footing.
He clenched his fists and glared at their retreating backs with suppressed anger.
The crowd behind him still continued to gossip:
"I wonder how many steps they'll pass?"
"Above 40 steps, of course. They aren't the Heavens-chosen for nothing."
"Hehe... I can't believe I'll witness their glory with my own eyes. Truly a heaven's blessing."
Vahn and Valzar also stepped forward, but their participation earned only quiet scoffs.
As Vahn took his first step, he noticed the Holy Son of Darkness, Rudra, had already crossed fifteen steps as if walking on a breeze. Not a frown creased his cold face.
"Truly magnificent! Holy Son is indeed worthy of his title."
The Seventh Prince, Helix, clapped behind Rudra with a bootlicking expression, yet he, too, had easily crossed ten steps.
Princess Camila then stepped forward, her blonde hair fluttering in the breeze. Her smile was gentle as she glanced at Rudra's back with admiration.
"Royal Brother couldn't have said it better. Your excellency Rudra truly possesses talent beyond mortal comprehension."
Rudra did not even glance back to respond, his expression as cold as usual. His dark hair fell over his shoulder with a refined but deadly grace.
From the looks of it, he considered everyone present to be beneath him. But truthfully speaking, his nature was like this. Almost everyone born from the Darkness Creed had this kind of attitude.
Vahn paid the royals no mind, his eyes fixed on his own path. He placed his foot on the first step.
Unlike the subtle pressure felt by the others, Vahn experienced almost nothing. The step felt no different than solid ground. The soft scoffs and whispers greeting his attempt vanished as he began to move.
One step. Two steps. Five steps.
He moved at a steady, unhurried pace. He was passing the milestones of 10 steps, 12 steps, as effortlessly as Rudra.
"Wait, who is that?" someone whispered.
"I don't know him."
"But he's already past the 15th step!" another exclaimed in disbelief.
Vahn finally reached the 17th step, standing in same place with the reigning champion, Holy Son Rudra.
Rudra, who had previously been the picture of cold composure, finally frowned.
He glanced to his side and narrowed his eyes as he recognized the peasant who had been shoved aside moments before. The distraction cost him a fraction of a second, but it was enough.
In the next moment, Vahn slipped past him.
18th step. 20th step. 25th step.
Vahn did not stop or even look over. He simply continued his walk, his movement completely unburdened. The aura superiority Rudra had projected moments ago shattered.
The Holy Son, the chosen talent, now saw a figure ahead of him, one who moved with a grace that made his own effortless strides seem like a heavy trudge.
The entire crowd was silent. The fawning praise for the royals was completely forgotten.
"28th step!" the Seventh Prince Helix gasped with his face pale. His bootlicking expression gone.
"How is that possible?" Princess Camila whispered as her admiration for Rudra replaced by sheer astonishment.
Even Valzar, who had just crossed the 20th step, stared at Vahn's back in disbelief.
"Was I been speaking to a Holy Son-level prodigy all this time?"
He couldn't help but find it ridiculous.
Meanwhile, Vahn finally reached the 30th step. Only 19 steps remained, still he didn't feel any significant pressure.
The same strange phenomenon that occurred on the Holy Ascension Stairway was happening again. The invisible pressure seemed to fuel his spirit energy more.
He was now certain of the reason: his Void Refining Physique. His unique body was somehow converting the pressure aura of the trial into usable spirit energy.
This meant that the difficulty that crippled others was now a blessing to him.
However, the Holy Son Rudra hadn't given up yet. He was already five steps behind Vahn, though clear lines of struggle were now visible on his face.
"Good. Come up. Let me show you despair," Vahn thought darkly, eager to exact some revenge for the earlier humiliation.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC36: The Moment Etched In History
Chapter 36: Chapter 36: The Moment Etched In History
Vahn's inner inner demon surfaced. He wasn't just walking on the trial; he was setting a trap of torment.
He slowed his pace just enough to allow the struggling Rudra to gain ground. Vahn was on the 35th step; Rudra was agonizingly stepping himself onto the 31st.
The crowd stirred.
"He's slowing down! The pressure must have finally caught up to the peasant!" Helix hissed as a sliver of wicked hope returning to his eyes
Princess Camila also sighed in relief.
"See? I knew it. Our Holy Son Rudra will overtake him."
Rudra also assumed Vahn had reached his limit. So he gritted his teeth and used his deep reserves of energy to continue. He took another step, then another, closing the gap to just three steps.
The relief was intoxicating; he was about to prove that the earlier setback was nothing more than a momentary lapse.
However, just as Rudra stabilized his footing on the 32nd step, panting heavily, Vahn suddenly accelerated.
It was a sudden, smooth transition. Vahn didn't even struggle; he simply continued forward as if gliding over the stone.
36th step. 38th step. 40th step.
The gap immediately stretched back to eight steps.
Rudra's cold heart sank.
The hope that had bloomed on Rudra's face was wiped instantly, replaced by a look of utter, strained confusion.
"What is happening? How did he suddenly gain so much energy?
As he thought about this, his breath turned ragged and he nearly stumbled back.
Meanwhile, Vahn reached the 41st step. This was the legendary point where the most exceptional talents usually failed. He paused and looked back over his shoulder. He gave Rudra a brief, cold smirk—the same look of disdain the royal's entourage had given him earlier.
Then, Vahn simply turned and walked on.
This taunt was a cruel, precise blow. Rudra's handsome face contorted in fury.
It didn't take long to understand, the commoner boy was toying with him. This was unacceptable for a person who had been trained to be the best if best.
He refused to be dismissed. He drew every ounce of Spirit energy from his Dantian, pushing his body past its absolute limits.
'I must catch him! I must not be surpassed by a commoner!'
Rudra gave his all, as if his very existence was on the line.
He managed a few more agonizing steps, reaching the 41st.
But, his body was trembling violently,
His dark robe was already soaked in sweat, and a thin line of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He felt the world tilt. The pressure here was not just spiritual; it felt like the weight of a physical mountain crushing his bones.
He glanced up with blood red eyes. He saw Vahn was already on the 45th step, moving only slightly slower than he had at the start.
Indeed, Vahn paused again, his hand idly moving in the air, seemingly enjoying the view from up here.
He didn't even turn around this time, but his simple presence so far ahead felt like another mocking challenge.
'This is... Impossible!"
The despair was too much. Rudra let out a strained cry as his aura collapsed completely. His knee buckled, and he collapsed onto the 41st step, unable to proceed even an inch further. The Holy Son of Darkness, the prodigy, was broken.
The world went silent, all eyes locked on the collapsing figure of Rudra and the calm silhouette of Vahn far above him.
Vahn already stood at the 47th step. He glanced back one last time, just to confirm that Rudra was motionless and defeated.
The feeling of vindication was sweet, but the true goal was still incomplete.
He took the 48th step.
He took the 49th step.
Vahn was now one step away from the summit. The pressure here was astronomical, heavy enough to warp space and shatter an ordinary cultivator's soul. Yet, for Vahn, it was merely an immense influx of rich, refined energy flooding his meridian channels. His Void Refining Physique hummed with satisfied power.
With a deep, steadying breath, Vahn took the 50th and final step.
His foot landed not on the step, but on the small platform at the top, directly in front of the ancient, weathered Statue of the Judge.
Vahn reached out his hand and placed his palm firmly against the cold stone of the Statue's base.
The instant Vahn touched the Statue, the air shattered.
The massive, terrifying aura that had been crushing the onlookers vanished, replaced by a deep, resonating hum that shook the entire tower.
The Statue itself glowed with a faint, ethereal gold.
Below, pandemonium erupted at once.
The sheer shock of the feat caused some onlookers to faint outright.
Princess Camila clutched her brother, her eyes wide and unfocused. Prince Helix was stammering as well, unable to form a coherent word as stared at the motionless figure of Vahn beside the glowing monument.
The defeated Rudra, still collapsed on the 41st step, was too exhausted, too humiliated, to even move.
"He... he touched it!" an elderly man cried, his voice cracking with awe. "The Statute has been untouched for thousands of years!"
The crowd's initial awe quickly transformed into frantic, calculating excitement. The question of Vahn's identity became an urgent priority.
"Quickly! Who is he? Find his sect! Find his origins!" one man, clearly a high-ranking sect recruiter, barked at his subordinates.
"We must secure him at once!"
"A Heavenly Seed! A raw talent capable of touching the Judge's Statue! Even the Ancient Holy Lands would fight over a prodigy like this!" a woman from another sect exclaimed, already running toward the staircase with wild determination.
They were no longer looking at a peasant to be shoved aside. They were looking at a living, walking legend; a genius whose talent had just surpassed every recorded history of the Grand Trial. The whispers of scorn for the "bastard" were replaced by the fervent shouts of those scrambling to claim the newly discovered peerless prodigy.
Meanwhile, Vahn suddenly heard a resounding, ancient voice echo not in his ears, but deep within his mind.
< So, you have come, My Child >

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC37: Unparalleled Talent
Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Unparalleled Talent
Vahn's eyes narrowed in confusion. "Who are you? Do you know me?"
The ancient voice, deep and resonant, answered calmly:
< Perhaps. You closely resemble a person I met once. Perhaps it is Fate that has led us here. And I have something that person left behind, saying there would be a day when a worthy one would arrive, and I would part ways with it >
"RUMBLE!"
As the voice finished, a powerful, dark-colored Scroll materialized with a deafening rumble in the sky above the Floor Zero.
"Oh heavens! Just what is that thing? A Heaven Grade Treasure?"
"No. It must be something beyond Heaven Grade. Heavenly Treasures aren't like this."
"Something beyond Heaven Grade exists?"
"Of course. I heard there is also Divine Grade. It must be one of those treasures."
"Divine Grade? Oh, my! If only I could obtain one, I could become the strongest in my Sect."
The eyes of some people were already clouded with greed. Some already thought of plans to steal or rob the treasure from Vahn's hand.
However, the faces of others turned pale, their eyes widening in horror due to the ominous, vast dark energy radiating from the Scroll. It was powerful, yes, but terrifying at the same time. It warned the keen-eyed people that this thing was not made for them.
Then, just as quickly as it had appeared, the Scroll began to shrink, compressing its terrifying aura until it was small enough to fit neatly inside the Commoner boy's palm.
Vahn held the miniature scroll and became stunned. The symbols and words etched on the outer casing felt impossibly ancient, but somehow, he could read them clearly:
[ Void Refining Manual: Refine Heaven and Earth ]
"Refine Heaven and Earth." The title was utterly domineering.
The dark scroll then dissolved into Vahn's palm, instantly merging with his body. In the next breath, the entirety of the Cultivation Manual's secret knowledge was engraved directly into his mind.
A fundamental question echoed in his mind: Is it truly possible to refine everything?
The manual provided a resounding yes. But this supreme power was reserved only for its bearer; the one who possessed the Forbidden Manual and the Special Physique required to wield it.
However, this revelation immediately raised countless questions in Vahn's mind. Who was the mysterious person who left this Manual here? How did they know he would arrive at this exact spot?
The ancient voice answered again:
< If you truly wish to know the answers, climb up the tower. I will tell you everything >
Vahn didn't respond to the voice. Instead, he simply began walking back down the steps.
He felt a genuine trace of fear. The entity could read his mind, and that fact alone would terrify anyone who harbored secrets.
It was fortunate that this consciousness, or whatever it was, seemed to have no intention of harming him.
His mind eased slightly. He had obtained exactly what he came for, so naturally, he decided to return to White Lotus as soon as possible.
But not everything goes as planned.
As soon as Vahn descended from the platform, the frozen silence of the onlookers shattered. The massive gathering of cultivators who had been moments ago watching in scorn were now lunging forward in a desperate, chaotic rush.
"Hold! Stop there!" a powerfully built elder from a major sect roared, his figure flashing as he flew toward the staircase.
"Young man, state your name! Which Sect are you from?"
"Silence! This prodigy is clearly destined for a Holy Land!" shouted a beautiful woman, her eyes gleaming with avarice.
"Come with me, young genius! I guarantee you resources beyond your wildest dreams!"
Vahn's path was instantly blocked by a wall of high-ranking figures who had abandoned all sense of dignity. They were scrambling, trying to get close enough to speak to him, to touch him, to claim him.
Prince Helix and Princess Camila looked utterly defeated, unable to move from their spots. The Holy Son Rudra remained collapsed on the forty-first step, his defeat a visible, agonizing reality for all to see.
Vahn, seeing the desperate crowd, felt a headache coming on. He just wanted to leave quietly. He didn't want to deal with the inevitable political storm that followed the discovery of a peerless talent.
He pushed forward, attempting to squeeze through the frantic crowd.
"Please move aside," he requested in his firm tone.
"Move aside? Absurd! We are offering you a path to true power!"
"Boy, do you know who we are?"
"Hmph!" Suddenly, a massive, oppressive aura descended from the sky, freezing every single person. That included the high-level elders as well. It was the crushing power of a true, undisputed powerhouse, far superior to anyone present.
A figure descended with the speed of a falling meteor, landing directly in front of Vahn. He was a man of immense presence, cloaked in robes of deep violet, his eyes holding the wisdom of centuries.
"The youth will come with me."
His voice, heavy with authority and ancient power, boomed across the entire floor.
This was not a sect recruiter; this was a Patriarch, a powerful Clan leader of this region.
"I am the Violet Sun Patriarch," the man declared, his gaze locking onto Vahn. "No one here can offer you the future I can. You are leaving this place only with me."
Vahn stopped, trapped between the stunned, frozen crowd and this terrifying, unmovable Patriarch. He took a deep breath, realizing his quiet departure had been impossible from the moment he touched the statue.
So, he quickly cooked a crafty plan to escape.
"I appreciate the offer, Patriarch," Vahn said, meeting the man's powerful gaze. "But I already belong to a Sect."
The Patriarch raised a curious, skeptical eyebrow.
"And which Sect, pray tell, has managed to hide such a dazzling star until today?"
"The Darkness Creed," Vahn stated plainly.
"What!"
The crowd stirred violently at the name. Even the powerful man's aura of supremacy dissolved into shocked confusion.
"The Darkness Creed? But why am I not aware of this? Even Holy Son Rudra seemed not to know you."
At the mention of the name, the onlookers saw Rudra ascending the last few steps after collecting his own, less spectacular reward.
Rudra, Prince Helix, and Princess Camila stared at Vahn with deeply furrowed brows.
"You claim you come from my Holy Land?" Rudra uttered, his expression suspicious.
"Yes." Vahn continued to lie without a flinch.
Rudra's dark eyes squinted, trying to recognize him. But in the end, he shook his head.
"No, you're lying. I know every talented member of my Holy Land, and you are certainly not one of them."
He looked very confident in his claim.
But Vahn wasn't panicked. He smiled and replied, "Holy Son, until now, I was merely an ordinary outer disciple. How would you know such an insignificant disciple like me?"
Vahn's smile widened, offering a challenge: "Anyway, why don't I prove it to you by following you back to the Darkness Creed? That should solve all your doubts, shouldn't it?"

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC38: Refining Heaven And Earth
Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Refining Heaven And Earth
Rudra stared at Vahn with a complex mixture of suspicion and grudging respect. The boy's calm demeanor in the face of a true Patriarch's pressure, followed by the audacious challenge, forced his hand. It was a risky gamble to take a nobody back to the Holy Land, but leaving him to be snatched by a powerful rival would be an even greater humiliation, especially if the boy truly possessed an identity from the Darkness Creed.
Rudra finally nodded curtly.
"Very well. If you are an outer disciple of the Darkness Creed, you will come with me now. We will verify your identity immediately," Rudra stated with cold authority. "But if you are lying, no one in the Empire, not even your so-called insignificant self, will save you from the consequences."
He then turned his sharp gaze toward the Violet Sun Patriarch, who stood frozen by Vahn's gambit.
"Patriarch," Rudra's voice was dismissive. "You heard him. This matter concerns the internal affairs of the Darkness Creed. I suggest you step aside."
The Patriarch was barely hiding the fury. He had been this close to obtain a Divine treasure, but the sheer pressure of the Darkness Creed's name was too great. The Darkness Holy Land was the undisputed "Big Boss" of the Dark Sun Empire. To challenge their Holy Son was nothing but courting death.
"Hmph. As you wish, Holy Son. We shall meet again."
The Patriarch gave in, but his eyes blazed with resentment as he watched his priceless artifact slip away
With the matter settled by the sheer political force of the Holy Land's name, the powerful onlookers could only gnash their teeth in impotent rage.
Vahn, Rudra, Prince Helix, and Princess Camila walked unimpeded down the final steps and out of the Tower.
As soon as they stepped onto the open grounds outside, a massive, ornate transport carriage emblazoned with the Darkness Creed's insignia hovered into view.
"Get in," Rudra ordered in an impatient tone.
But, Vahn slowed his pace instead. He glanced at the Holy Son, Prince, and Princess with ridicule, who were all focused on the carriage entrance.
They were powerful, but their attention still move away from him. They likely assumed Vahn was simply resigned to his fate. That's why, they weren't that alert.
"Now," Vahn thought, his heart rate spiking with adrenaline.
He secretly reached under his belt, his fingers finding the cool, smooth surface of a Transportation Jade slip. It was the same artifact Seraphina had given in case of emergency.
Next, with a barely perceptible movement, he in injected some spirit energy into it.
.
Immedietly, a tiny, nearly invisible burst of faint silver light enveloped Vahn.
"What was that—"
Rudra's ears twitched suddenly, feeling an alarm.
He finally turned toward Vahn, realizing the boy had stopped moving.
Before any of them could react, before a single shout or strike could be launched, Vahn's body disappeared with a soft glow.
He was gone.
The space where Vahn had stood was now empty. Only a residual faint, sweet smell of burnt herbs lingered in the air, the signature of the high-grade jade.
Rudra, Prince Helix, and Princess Camila all stopped dead, their eyes wide with disbelief and shock.
"He... he escaped? With a Transportation Artifact?" Prince Helix stammered out, his aristocratic composure shattered.
"We were tricked!" Princess Camilia hissed, her hand instinctively flying to her hip where a dagger was sheathed.
"That smooth-faced liar!"
Rudra stood still, a terrible storm brewing in his dark eyes. The humiliation of being defeated on the steps was now compounded by the shame of being openly outwitted by the same Commoner boy—an "ordinary outer disciple" who had used his own Holy Land's name as a shield only to vanish the moment they were outside.
He clenched his fists so tight that his knuckles turned white.
"You Insect..." Rudra's voice was low, strained, and filled with chilling vengeance.
"You little insect, you have escaped. But you can't hide forever. I vow this: I will find you, and I will make you pay a thousand times over for the disgrace you brought upon me today."
He had been fooled, humiliated, and robbed of his revenge. The debt had just grown tenfold.
---
On other hand, Vahn arrived on the training ground with a faint glow, finding himself exactly where he had started hours ago. He looked up, noticing the deep purple expanse of the night sky; the entire ordeal at the Tower, from his ascent to his audacious escape, had consumed a full day.
The thought of Rudra and the other angry cultivators was momentarily pushed aside.
They're too far away, he rationalized. Our paths won't cross again anytime soon.
His mind was already consumed by a far more urgent, thrilling matter.
Instead of heading toward Seraphina's Cave, Vahn made a run for his own rundown hut. The exhaustion of the day vanished, replaced by a consuming excitement to test the forbidden talent now etched into his very being.
Once inside his modest dwelling, he secured the door and sat cross-legged on his straw mat. He took a few deep, stabilizing breaths, cleared his mind, and focused on the knowledge that had dissolved into his soul: the Void Refining Manual.
Following the manual's instructions, Vahn closed his eyes and began to circulate his internal energy. The process was unlike anything he had ever read about. Instead of drawing Qi into his meridians to compress and solidify it, the technique instructed him to release his Internal Qi, guiding it outside his body in a vast, ethereal net.
As his first thread of inner energy left his body, it immediately began to change. His ordinary, pure Qi was instantly darkened, becoming heavy, silent, and infused with an ominous, all-consuming quality. It was the Void Refining Art.
The terrifying principle of the manual became startlingly clear. His newly formed Void Qi didn't just passively absorb ambient energy; it actively preyed upon it.
The very air around Vahn seemed to turn dense and suffocating as the dark energy swirled. Vahn could feel the Void Qi greedily latching onto the ambient Heaven and Earth Qi in the hut, dragging it in and pulverizing it, filtering away impurities until only a pitch-black, potent essence remained.
This is it. This is the power to 'Refine Heaven and Earth,' Vahn realized with a shiver of awe and terror.
With every successful cycle, the dark energy flowed back into his body, heavier and exponentially more condensed than the Qi he had started with. It flowed through his meridians, gathering in the Dantian at a dizzying pace.
Like this, Vahn continued cultivating deep into the night, the only sounds being the soft hiss of the Void Qi working its terrible alchemy on the world outside his body. He was no longer simply cultivating; he was absorbing, devouring, and refining the very essence of the world.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC39: First Kiss
Chapter 39: Chapter 39: First Kiss
When the first rays of dawn flashed through the windows of Vahn's small hut, he finally opened his eyes. A soft, dark luminescence retreated from his skin, flowing back into his body. He had been cultivating without pause for the entire night.
A contented, almost feral smile touched his lips. He was no longer at the initial phase of Qi Refining. The terrifying efficiency of the Void Refining Art had propelled his cultivation to the peak of Stage 3 in a single session.
Vahn didn't know the exact metrics of other cultivators, but he was certain he had surpassed the majority of the disciples in his batch. A single night of cultivation using the Forbidden Manual had achieved what might take an ordinary cultivator weeks or even months.
Yet, he knew he was still holding back. He hadn't even applied the true, monstrous potential of his manual. According to the scroll's secrets, the Void Refining Art could devour any kind of cultivation resource like herbs, pills, even spirit stones, and refine them into pure, potent Void Qi at a speed far exceeding the average cultivator.
"The key is resources," Vahn realized.
To truly skyrocket his power, he needed Spirit Stones or rare herbs. He had none. Earning those resources was now his highest priority.
With the night's work done, Vahn carefully cleaned up his hut. The serious matter of Holy Son Rudra and the others who were hunting him was completely forgotten in the face of his exhilarating progress.
Early in the morning, Vahn headed over to Seraphina's Cave.
He found the cave entrance quiet. Peeking inside, he found out Seraphina was in a closed-door cultivation.
Just outside, Vahn spotted Zephya. The little girl was sprawled out on a single, thin mattress on the cold stone floor, sleeping like a log. Her small body was curled up against the morning chill.
Vahn's expression turned sympathetic. He went over to her side and gently pulled a nearby, discarded blanket, wrapping the little girl completely. Zephya twitched for a moment, letting out a small sigh, and her expression instantly turned serene as she snuggled into the warmth.
After ensuring the girl was comfortable, Vahn headed to the small, makeshift kitchen area near the cave entrance. He began to cook, using the leftover resources he found—simple grains and dried meat—to prepare a meager but warm meal for all 3 of them.
Despite the meager ingredients, Vahn's cooking skills were extraordinary. Using only the limited resources, he managed to create an extremely salivating dish, transforming the humble breakfast into something that looked almost Divine. The food was artfully arranged, glistening with flavor, and the tantalizing aroma alone was enough to make the stomach rumble.
The rich scent of the cooking drifted through the cave, pulling Zephya from her deep sleep. She opened her eyes, immediately spotting Vahn by the fire. The irresistible smell made her forget their earlier grudge completely; her face was a mask of pure, blissful hunger.
"Vahn! What are you making?" she mumbled drowsily, already climbing off her mattress. She padded over, her eyes glued to the sizzling food.
"It smells so good! Can I have some?"
For a moment she forgot the grudge between them.
Vahn chuckled, the sight of her ravenous expression was enough dissolve any lingering tension.
Though the little girl coild be extremely annoying at time, he couldn't ignore how innocent and cuty she is.
He spooned a generous portion onto a clean, wooden plate and handed it to her with a warm smile.
"Of course, Zephya. It's ready."
Zephya didn't hesitate, immediately digging in with shining eyes.
It was at that moment that Seraphina emerged from her secluded closed-door cultivation area. Her aura was stable and refined, indicating a successful session. She paused, taking in the warm scene: the delicious aroma filling the cave, Zephya happily eating, and Vahn watching over her with a gentle, caring expression.
Seraphina's worried features softened into a look of genuine awe and impressed warmth. This simple moment of her husband tending to her disciple and preparing food with such care, was more precious than any rare spiritual treasure.
"Vahn, thanks the heavens you're back safely. Did you find the find the thing you desired for?" she asked, sitting down gracefully between them.
Vahn smiled mysteriously as he answered, "Indeed. I have obtained what I needed. And it's all thanks to you."
Zephya remained puzzled, while Seraphina smiled in relief.
"That's good to hear. But can I also have some, Vahn?"
Vahn watched her refreshing figure up close and smiled. She was truly a beauty worth giving his all.
"Of course. I have made it especially for you." he flattered with his signature smile.
Zephya pouted as Seraphina smiled back at him and made eye direct contact.
In that cave, surrounded by the delicious food and the simple sounds of eating, this impromptu breakfast turned into a moment of pure, blissful family harmony. Seraphina realized just how much Vahn truly cared for their "little family," a deep satisfaction settling in her heart.
"You're truly a good person, Vahn. I am glad I have made the right choice back then."
Her sincere words struck a chord in Vahn's chest. Alongside this, the system's glowing reward notifications flashed before his eyes.
[ Your Emotional Connection with Seraphina Dawnlight increased by 8%. Current: 73% ]
[ Rewards Gained: Light Affinity +100%, Heaven Grade Cultivation Art - Radiant Soul Healing ]
Vahn's excitement died down instantly.
"What would I do with a Healer's Art? I need something for attack." His immediate reaction was disappointment.
"Wait..."
But then the System's intent became apparent to him. The reward was an Immortal's Soul Healing Art, and Seraphina was already a gifted healer.
"Does it want me to give this to Seraphina? But why? Will I get bigger rewards?"
The thought of maximizing his gains excited him even more than personal acquisition. If strengthening Seraphina resulted in future, superior rewards, it was the perfect strategy.
So, without delay, after breakfast, he took out the Heaven Grade Healing Art in the form of a brilliant white scroll and handed it to Seraphina.
"Seraphina, I have a gift for you. Take a look at this."
Seraphina and her disciple Zephya shared a curious look before slowly unrolling the brilliant white scroll. The instant they saw the complex, ethereal script and felt the immense, pure energy emanating from the words, their eyes widened in unison. It was undeniably a Heaven Grade Art.
"Vahn!" Seraphina gasped, clutching the scroll as if it were spun glass. "Where did you get this? This is beyond priceless!"
"Yes! Where?" Zephya echoed, practically vibrating with shock.
Vahn shrugged halfheartedly, trying to sound casual.
"Oh, that. I picked it up at the Towers of Primordials. It was a minor reward, right next to the Heaven Grade Cultivation Manual I mentioned."
Zephya's jaw dropped. "You went to the Tower of Primordials? When? Master never even told me you were gone!"
The little girl's jealousy quickly shifted to the main topic of achievement.
"So, how many steps did you manage to cross? Master reached the 45th Step when she challenged it years ago!" she boasted proudly.
Vahn downplayed his monumental achievement, not wanting to deal with the inevitable questions about the top platform.
"Me? Just the 39th."
Even that seemingly modest number came as a massive shock. Crossing the 30th step was the domain of talented elders; reaching the 39th was the mark of a Holy Son-level genius.
Seraphina and Zephya both looked at him with an entirely new light in their eyes. Seraphina had always assumed Vahn was talented, but he had once again shattered her expectations.
"Vahn, this is..." Seraphina shook her head, still overwhelmed, but she carefully accepted the scroll. "Thank you. You might not know, but a Soul Healing Art is nearly impossible to acquire one, especially one of this grade. I didn't have a dedicated one until now."
She rose slightly and gently placed a tender kiss on his cheek with the natural red lips of her.
It wasn't just a gesture of gratitude, but also the sign growing affection for him.
Zephya's mouth went completely agape at the display of intimacy.
Vahn, however, was immediately over the moon, but not just because of the kiss. The system had gone wild in his mind:
[ Your Physical Connection with Seraphina Dawnlight increased by 10%. Current: 35% ]
[ Rewards Gained: Divine Cultivation Art - Nine Heavens Lightning Swords ]
Divine Grade!
The sheer power contained in those two words completely surpassed the Heaven Grade scroll he had just given away. He had traded a valuable healer's art for an ultimate attack art.
The System's method of reward was truly proving to be the most lucrative path to power.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC40: Problem And Solution
Chapter 40: Chapter 40: Problem And Solution
Vahn retreated to the quiet privacy of his hut after the morning's eventful breakfast. His heart still pounded with the thrill of acquiring a Divine Grade Art, and he couldn't wait to test the terrifying power of the Nine Heavens Lightning Art.
He quickly settled down and focused, drawing upon the secret knowledge now etched into his soul. He tried to execute the very first form of the technique: Destruction Sword.
He channeled his newly refined Void Qi, intending to channel it through the complex pathways dictated by the Lightning Art. But the moment he attempted to force his Qi to resonate with the element of lightning, his meridians seized up. The energy refused to transform, recoiling inward with a painful jolt. He tried again, pushing harder, but it was like trying to ignite water. The power simply would not manifest.
Frustrated, Vahn stopped and instead tried executing the Art Of Healing that he had learned from Seraphina. This time, it worked perfectly. A soft, warm Light Qi flowed easily from his palm, gentle and life-giving.
The conclusion hit him with the force of a physical blow.
He could not wield the Nine Heavens Lightning Swords no matter what, because he lacked the necessary Lightning Affinity. This was an iron law of cultivation: without the required elemental affinity, one could not wield that type of elemental art. Forcing it would only cause severe internal damage to the energy pathways.
Vahn was thoroughly confused. "Why would the System reward me with something I can't even use?"
He had acquired the Light Affinity through his connection with Seraphina. The logical conclusion was that he must acquire the Lightning Affinity in the same way.
He ran through the names of his wives.
Was there even someone among them who had the lightning affinity?
Maybe, yes. But he couldn't wait for that long. He needed to find another way.
So, he asked around. Eventually, he arrived before Fatty Liam, the talkative senior outer disciple.
"Junior brother, you're looking for a way to get Lightning Affinity? But why?" Liam asked, confusion clouding his plump features.
"Aren't you satisfied with the Light Affinity? I mean, if you want to become stronger, you can just go for attack-type Light Arts. There are countless in the Scripture Hall."
Liam squinted at Vahn suspiciously. "Anyway, you haven't even completed your Body Tempering yet, right? So, why are you thinking about cultivation Arts so early?"
Vahn offered a smooth lie, "I'm close to completing my Body Tempering. But I have an exceptional Lightning Art from my family's inheritance that I simply must learn. So, if you know a way, I would be very grateful."
Liam nodded, understanding Vahn's desire to use a powerful inheritance.
"I see... But there isn't any easy way to get those affinities. They are innate; people are born with them. Some have one, some two, and the Holy Sons with three."
"Is there really no other way?" Vahn pressed, not wanting to give up yet.
Seeing Vahn's seriousness, Liam became thoughtful, rubbing his chin. After a while, his eyes lit up.
"Yes. Now that I think about it, there's another way."
"And what's that?" Vahn asked eagerly.
"The Lightning Seed."
"What's a Lightning Seed? Where can I acquire it from?"
Liam's eyes reflected a momentary longing as he explained,
"Elemental Seeds... They are a type of Heaven and Earth resource extracted from the Elemental Spirits of extreme elemental places. They often appear in Auction Halls. Each of them is extremely rare and pricey."
Liam leaned in conspiratorially.
"But you're lucky, Junior Brother. There's an auction scheduled in the Holy Light Empire tomorrow that deals in such rare items."
He then became stern.
"But I must warn you: you'll need a fortune to acquire one. Moreover, it's also a gamble. There is no guarantee you'll awaken the affinity. So think carefully."
"I understand..." Vahn sighed, his mind already calculating the risks and rewards.
From there, Vahn headed straight for Seraphina's Cave, his mind buzzing with the logistics of acquiring a Lightning Seed.
But upon reaching the entrance, he found Seraphina preparing to leave. She was dressed in her traveling robes, her usual peaceful demeanor replaced with a focused intensity.
"Seraphina, are you going somewhere?" he asked.
"Yes, Vahn. I don't always stay closed door. I have my own duties, and today's is an important one."
"Oh, what's that?"
"The Emperor of the Holy Light Empire has fallen terribly ill. The suspicion is that someone used an ancient curse on his Soul, which is normally hard to heal. But after receiving the Soul Healing Art, I am sure I can pull this off. Truly, your gift came just in time. That emperor should feel really lucky, I must say," she said, looking relieved and confident.
"Then I am glad to relieve some of your burdens. But there is one thing I need help with," Vahn scratched his head, looking hesitant.
"What is it? No need to be so hesitant about it, Vahn. Tell me what it is you need."
"It's nothing special. I just need one Transportation Jade Slip to go to Radiant City in the Holy Light Empire. I have something important to purchase there from an auction hall."
Seraphina's gentle eyes reflected surprise for a second.
"You want to attend an Auction Hall? But do you have the Spirit Stones, Vahn? Why don't I lend you some?"
Vahn chuckled. "Come on, Seraphina. What kind of man will I be if I had to rely on my wife?"
Seraphina crossed her arms over her chest, pouting in response. "What kind of logic is that, Vahn? Do you think all women are weak? Then I might as well tell you I have millions of Spirit Stones in my Storage Space Ring. So, you don't need to shy away... Just ask away..."
"Wow! You're certainly talkative today," Vahn replied, finding her usual calm and gentle composure replaced by genuine smiles and happiness. Indeed, her often gloomy personality was changing, and for the better.
She fell silent, looking inward for a moment as she replied with emotion, "Maybe it is because of a certain someone who brought me out of my shell. And I am very grateful to that person."
In the end, she looked at Vahn's face, confirming he was the reason for her change.
At last, both of them agreed to go together since they were heading to the same city. Seraphina was heading to the Imperial Palace, and Vahn was heading to the auction. It was a perfect coincidence.
However, Vahn set certain conditions for himself.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC41: Auction
Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Auction
Vahn remained firm in his decision not to accept Seraphina's offer of Spirit Stones, however generous it was. His refusal wasn't about misplaced masculine pride; it was about independence and strategic necessity. He already had a method for earning the necessary capital, one that didn't involve the slow grind of traditional assignments or, worse, resorting to "bootlicking those Holy Lands top dogs."
There were also ways to earn Spirit Stones by completing certain tasks set by White Lotus, but Vahn's refusal was absolute. He and White Lotus were enemies; he had never forgotten that core truth. It was only because he was weak that he had to keep up the act of their obedient dog. And that act would soon end.
There would be a day when he would take the White Lotus' precious flower (Seraphina) away from them and build his own legacy.
But until then, every resource he gained needed to be earned under his own terms.
Vahn and Seraphina's journey was swift thanks to the Transportation Jade Slip. In a flash of light, they arrived in Radiant City, the bustling Imperial capital of the Holy Light Empire.
The city was a magnificent expanse of white marble and gold architecture, radiating an aura of prosperity and ancient power that was entirely different from the rough mountains surrounding White Lotus.
Seraphina paused on a wide, sun-drenched avenue, her features composed.
"Vahn, I must head toward the Imperial Palace now to assess the Emperor's condition. The auction should begin this evening. Be careful, Vahn, and remember what I said about keeping a low profile."
"I will," Vahn assured her confidently. "You go and save the Emperor. I'll make sure to secure what I need before you finish."
With a nod, Seraphina ascended into the air, quickly moving toward the towering structure of the Imperial Palace.
Vahn, meanwhile, headed in the opposite direction, his destination set: the famous Auction Hall known as Twin Moon Commerce. He had only a few hours to earn the massive fortune required to bid on a legendary Lightning Seed.
Vahn arrived at the imposing entrance of the Twin Moon Commerce auction house. The building was a magnificent dome of crystal and white stone, its scale hinting at the immense wealth that passed through its doors daily.
Before entering, Vahn wore a simple black Clown mask he had procured.
The mask wasn't meant to be menacing, but simply to obscure his distinctive features and age. What he was about to do required absolute anonymity; attracting the wrong kind of attention would be disastrous.
He approached the reception desk, where a young woman with a crisp, professional air was waiting.
"Excuse me, I have something to sell," Vahn informed her while keeping his voice deliberately low and neutral.
The receptionist glanced up, her eyes quickly assessing Vahn's slight, youthful build and commoner's robes beneath the strange mask. Her expression held a hint of polite dismissal.
"Welcome, sir. If you have any common spiritual herbs or basic cultivation pills, you can proceed to counter three for quick processing."
Vahn ignored the imperceptible condescension. He reached into his waist pouch and retrieved a small golden bottle.
It was small, nondescript, and contained a faintly glowing viscous liquid.
He placed the bottle on the counter.
"I believe this requires the attention of an appraiser. It is a Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid."
The receptionist started to wave him off, assuming it was a low-grade item with an inflated name. Then, she registered the word Heaven Grade and, more importantly, the faint but unmistakable spiritual pressure radiating from the golden bottle.
Her eyes snapped wide open. A Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid was a priceless treasure, something even the great Holy Lands dreamed of obtaining to forge a perfect foundation for their Holy Sons and Saintesses. It was a fluid rumored to create an infallible base, preparing the body to withstand the stress of higher cultivation.
Such items were notoriously difficult to develop; legends claimed only Medicine Gods could create them consistently, making the demand astronomical.
The receptionist's face turned pale instantly. She scrambled backward, knocking her chair slightly.
"P-please, one moment!" she stammered.
Vahn was quickly escorted down a silent, luxurious corridor and into a small, secret chamber furnished with heavy, soundproof materials. Within minutes, a silver-haired Appraiser, whose cultivation base Vahn judged to be quite high, rushed in, his demeanor utterly serious.
With trembling hands, the Appraiser carefully examined the golden bottle. He removed the cork and inhaled the complex, heavenly scent, then tested a tiny drop against a specialized jade slate, which immediately glowed with an ancient, validating light.
The Appraiser then looked up at Vahn with awe and disbelief.
"It is authentic! A flawless bottle of Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid!"
The Appraiser, regaining his composure, swiftly ushered Vahn to a larger, private chamber where the owner of the Twin Moon Commerce auction house soon arrived. The owner, an older gentleman with a shrewd, calculating gaze, barely spared Vahn's masked figure a glance, his entire focus fixed on the golden bottle of Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid.
"This is an item of unmatched quality," the owner stated smoothly. "We will gladly feature this in our main evening auction. Your payout will be cut by 5% upon the completion of the sale."
"No. I can go as high as 1%," Vahn countered, not wanting scammed easily.
The old man's also shot back,
"3% is final, young man. Don't bit more what you chew."
"Old man, I have seen enough to be intimidated by your threat. 1% is final. Otherwise I can always look for better Auction Hall."
"Young man, no one can match our reputation and honesty. But since it such a precious treasure, I can go for 1.5%. We can't lower than that."
"That is acceptable," Vahn replied, his voice muffled by the mask. "However, I require a Spirit Contract to govern this transaction."
The owner's brow furrowed. Standard contracts were sufficient for most sellers, but a Spirit Contract was an ancient and potent form of agreement, sealed with a portion of the signees' spiritual energy.
"A Spirit Contract?"
"Yes," Vahn affirmed. "The terms are simple: Both the seller and the auction house must abide by the agreed price and payout. If either party attempts to breach the contract, such as underreporting the sale price or attempting to seize the item or the funds unjustly, the penalty is death."
The owner bristled at the demand, which implied a profound distrust of his establishment. However, the value of the Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid was so astronomical—guaranteeing the auction house a massive commission and prestige—that he couldn't afford to walk away.
After a tense moment, the owner relented.
"Very well. A Spirit Contract it is."
A shimmering, complex diagram of light materialized in the air. Both the owner and Vahn—who signed under the alias "Shadow"—pricked their fingers, letting a drop of blood fall onto the diagram. The contract pulsed, binding them with an inviolable spiritual vow.
With the security of the contract signed, Vahn was set to enjoy a bountiful swarm of Spirit Stones.
---
Vahn returned to the Twin Moon Commerce Hall just as the sun was setting. He was shown to a private, soundproof viewing box, perfectly situated to observe the main auction floor without being seen.
He settled into his seat, watching the prestigious auction begin. The items were valuable, but Vahn's attention was fixed on the upcoming lot. He needed to see exactly how high the bid for his Body Tempering Liquid would go to calculate his spending power for the coveted Lightning Seed, which was scheduled for later in the evening.
He was confident the profits from the Heaven Grade item would be enough, but just in case, he had a backup plan.
He still had the remaining bottle ready to bring out just in case.

MY SEVEN WIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL SAINTESSESC42: Getting Rich
Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Getting Rich
The moment the scheduled hour arrived, the vast Twin Moon Commerce Auction Hall became instantly packed.
The main floor seating was quickly filled by hundreds of commoners, independent cultivators, and merchants. They were hoping to bid for a minor treasure or simply witness the grand event. Above them, in the ring of partitioned balconies, were the VIP rooms. These were occupied by the most exalted figures: representatives from powerful Sects, ruling Kingdoms, and especially the envoys of various Holy Lands.
Vahn, situated comfortably in his private box, couldn't see their faces, but the sheer, oppressive presence radiating from those VIP areas was enough to make his skin prickle. He could tell that any of the figures behind those screens possessed the power to crush him like an ant. That's why he deeply appreciated the non-prying setting and the obscurity his black Clown mask provided.
The auctioneer, a charismatic man with a booming voice, wasted no time on pleasantries. He knew the crowd wasn't here for filler.
"Welcome, esteemed guests! Tonight, our first item requires no introduction. A treasure of legend, a foundation-forging miracle: The Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid!"
The massive crystal display at the center of the hall lit up, showcasing the golden bottle in its full glory.
"Whoa!!"
The announcement of the Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid plunged the auction hall into pandemonium.
From the ground seats, gasps, shouts, and exclamations of disbelief echoed:
"Heaven Grade? Impossible!" "A Body Tempering Liquid of that caliber? We heard rumors, but never believed it!"
Common cultivators clenched their fists, knowing this treasure was far beyond their reach, yet unable to tear their eyes from the shimmering golden bottle. A wave of envy, awe, and desperate longing swept through them.
But the true storm brewed in the VIP boxes.
From one opulent box, a guttural growl escaped, followed by the clatter of a heavy gauntlet hitting a table.
"Ours! That liquid belongs to the Ironclad Sect!"
This was the voice of a grizzled Sect Elder, known for his unyielding will and desire to build the strongest disciple army. His sect had a formidable Body Cultivation lineage, and this liquid was the ultimate foundation.
Across the hall, a soft, melodious voice, yet one imbued with absolute authority, drifted from another box, "Such a miraculous item... it is perfectly suited for our Holy Maiden's ascension. The Azure Light Holy Sect will spare no expense."
The speaker was likely a matriarch, visualizing their peerless Holy Maiden reaching unprecedented heights with such a perfect foundation.
Then, from a particularly lavish, heavily guarded VIP suite, an almost palpable pressure descended. This was the representative of the Holy Light Imperial Family, directly tied to the very Empire in which they stood.
"The Emperor has decreed that such a treasure must belong to the Royal Bloodline. Our Imperial Prince will forge an unbreakable foundation. The price is irrelevant."
The implication was clear: the Empire wanted it, and defying them would have severe consequences.
Other factions, from ancient clans to reclusive Grand Elders of powerful cultivation families, also made their presence known, their intentions radiating a fierce, unyielding resolve. Each believed they had the most legitimate claim or the most pressing need for the liquid. This wasn't merely about wealth; it was about the future, about securing a peerless talent, and potentially shifting the balance of power in the wider region.
The bidding war was going to be savage.
"The starting bid is 100,000 Low grade Spirit Stones, with increments of no less than 10,000!" the auctioneer declared as his voice trembled with excitement.
The moment the auctioneer announced the starting bid, the war for the Heaven Grade Body Tempering Liquid began.
"110,000." said one of the rogue practitioners just test the water.
"Haha, 110,000?" another one sneered. 'That isn't even enough to buy the bottle. I bid 150,000,"
"160,000." said another man without too much expression. Because he knew this isn't going into his hand.
"200,000."
"250,000."
The bids immediately flew past the initial floor.
The Ironclad Sect and the Azure Light Holy Sect traded barbs and escalating prices, determined to outdo the other.
The numbers skyrocketed in dizzying fashion, fueled by ancient rivalries and the desperate need for a perfect foundation.
"500,000!" a voice from a Sect VIP box roared.
Still, there were no signs of stopping. The representatives, driven by the mandate of their leaders, seemed ready to spend every last stone. The bidding war continued to escalate until finally, the Holy Light Imperial Family representative slammed his bid down.
"Two million Spirit Stones!"
The number sent a shockwave through the hall, silencing every other factions.
Inside his box, Vahn was trembling with excitement.
"T-Two million low grade spirit stones!"
He had never imagined such number. Till now he only held 10 in his hand. He couldn't even Imagine how would they pile up in real.
A small mountain.
The imagination alone blow his mind away. With this amount not just Lightning Seed, he could buy anything he wanted.
More importantly, using those spirit stones his cultivation would sky rocket. He wouldn't be weak any longer.
Calming his excitement, he turned his attention below to the stage.
There were visible disgruntlements and verbal clashes from the defeated parties, but the Imperial representative, a man who was rumoured to be a Soul Formation Realm, was no pushover.
He radiated domineering aura, making it clear that challenging the Empire's purchase was courting death.
Just as the Auctioneer was helplessly about put the hammer down , a powerful, serene presence entered the main entrance of the auction hall.
Everyone gasped, turning to witness the dramatic interruption.
Stepping into the light was a gentle man in green robe, radiating an aura of herbs and Cauldron.
"Isn't he the famous Medicine King Oswin from the Alchemy Land?"
"Yes, I also heard about him. He is a very talented Alchemist. His pills and elixirs are unmatched in the whole Alchemy Land."
Medicine King Oswin Goldbranch was not alone. He was followed by an immensely powerful figure cloaked in blazing flame robes: Patriarch Xion.
Vahn recognised him immediately. It's only been a few days after all. He was the person who claimed to be his father-in-law.
It seems the news of the Heaven Grade treasure had clearly reached the ears of the Alchemy Land surprisingly fast, and they had arrived to obtain it, backed by the political and financial might of Patriarch Xion's support.
Vahn wasn't complaining. In fact, he understood only Xion could break the pressure of the Imperial family.
Medicine King Oswin Goldbranch finally spoke, "Esteemed Imperial Representative, I humbly apologize for the interruption. But this liquid is a matter of great curiosity to our Alchemists. We would like to acquire it for experimentation."
Patriarch Xion stepped forward, a polite, yet utterly dominant smile on his face. He didn't waste time on negotiations, immediately showing his overwhelming financial power.
"My Apologies for interruption. The Holy Light Imperial Family is most respected, but this item belongs to the study of the Dao of Alchemy. We offer four million Spirit Stones for the immediate transfer of the purchased lot."
A collective gasp swept through the hall.
Four million!
That was double the final Imperial bid. The stunned silence was soon broken by whispers of awe.
"The Alchemy Land is truly rich! They don't even bat an eye at that price!"
The Imperial Representative, though a Soul Formation cultivator, was trapped. Four million Spirit Stones was an absurd amount of capital, and challenging a Holy Land like the one backing Patriarch Xion over an item that was only moments ago acquired was not worth starting a war.
The representative's face twisted with frustration and rage, but he had no choice but to give up. He bowed stiffly to Patriarch Xion, his voice tight.
"Patriarch Xion's offer is generous. The Empire concedes."
The golden bottle was swiftly transferred to the delighted Medicine King, leaving the Imperial faction humiliated but significantly richer.
They could use the spirit stones to buy something else. At least that's how they consoled themselves.
Without the White Lotus' protection they couldn't just go against one of the great seven Holy Lands, could they?
