So… I expected Mother to continue training me but aside from the usual, she's really gotten into the girl side of training a lot.
That means teaching me on how to dress up, how to do my hair and even how to 'flirt'.
She did ask me if I wanted to act like the 'noble lady' type,
That sounded interesting so I said that I wanted to try it.
I'm happy to say that I lasted for a week before I said hell no to that kind of training.
I had to be aware of how I walk, how I talk and even how I breathe. There were so many restrictions and so many subtle things I had to remember for a simple thing alone!
Even just talking to someone could have various different meanings depending on how I phrased it, where my eyes were looking, where my hands were placed, to what degree my chin was tilted, the angle of the fan I was carrying if I possessed one, how my hair was arranged and various other things.
Yeah, no way. Noble society can go dump itself somewhere else, preferably far, far away from me. I'll just continue acting like I have, thank you very much.
Aside from that, Mother wanted to teach me about makeup as well but it turns out I wasn't really good at it.
Mother then admitted it wasn't really a bad thing since I was already beautiful to begin with, according to her at least.
She said I could always just get some girlfriends to do it for me in the future if I really needed to.
Mother also took the chance to help me upgrade my equipment, replacing my former wolf and bear armour with another one that was made with wyvern and dragon scales.
She also bought another dagger for me to replace the one I had broken, one that was made to be much better than my first one.
Initially, Mother also wanted to revamp my wardrobe but she decided against it in favour of wanting to bring me to shop for it myself. To say that she was looking forward to it was an understatement.
In addition to my physical training, I also continued with my magic training as well, but I found out that to grind tier two skills to tier three takes an ungodly amount of time.
Take my Mana Management and Umbramancy for example. I haven't stopped using them for all these years and I am still stuck at tier two for each of them.
[Umbramancy: To gain proficiency, materialise the shadows and don yourself with darkness. (Progress to tier 3: 65%)]
[Mana Management: To gain proficiency, grow your internal mana pool, claim mastery over it and go beyond the limits of your magic. (Progress to tier 3: 48%)]
Only this level of proficiency after all these years… They really weren't kidding when they said it will take years to even increase in proficiency for them…
Mana Management became especially difficult to increase my proficiency in, as evident by the fact that my Umbramancy had already overtaken it despite having a late start.
On the other hand…
[Electromancy: To gain proficiency, obtain mastery over the energies of your own body and direct them elsewhere. (Progress to tier 2: 88%)]
Electromancy is coming along nicely, helped by the fact that I understood electricity from my time in school.
A new spell I learnt for this magic is [Static Bolt], a spell that is similar to [Static Shock] where it paralyses an enemy for a short time except this spell uses a electrical bolt that I fire out to affect them. The downside is that this requires a longer casting time and it can be dodged if the opponent is fast enough.
[Lumenmancy: To gain proficiency, solidify the light and bend its forms to your will. (Progress to tier 2: 62%)]
Aside from [Spotlight] that creates a light ball that illuminates an area, I have also learned [Light Flash] which functions in a rather similar way as compared to [Darkness Paranoia].
[Darkness Paranoia] blinds my target with darkness and also makes them more susceptible to fear.
Similarly, [Light Flash] also blinds my target but through using light to obstruct their vision. It might sound like the darkness version is better but the light one has two very nice effects that I can use.
The first is that I can intensify the light used to blind the target to damage their sight in the long term especially if they are sensitive to light. The other is more subtle where instead of outright blinding them, I can manipulate the light particles to create blind spots in their vision temporarily.
In a way, it can be used more subtly than its darkness counterpart, ironically.
But putting those aside, I decided to ask Mother to teach me magic as well, specifically the ones that I did not choose during the character creation.
"Ara, ara? As expected of my little one! Which magic shall we start off with first?" Mother asked, sitting me down sideways on her lap.
Just a quick reminder that I'm already the size of a sixteen year old but Mother still likes to spoil me like I'm a child.
I considered for a moment, "I suppose the one with quite a lot of utility, Pyromancy?"
Yes, yes, very cliche. But fire is a very useful tool in a lot of situations. That is not to say the other elements are less useful since I'll also be learning them eventually.
"Ufufufu~ That is quite easy~ You already know how to turn your mana into other elements, so first do the same except change it to fire."
"Unn… Mother said this would be quite hard as compared to altering the mana inside a Mana Crystal, right?"
Mother patted my head, "That is correct~ Which is why most mages don't learn multiple elements and instead, devote their lives to learning only one or just a handful of them. For my little one to already have a grasp of multiple forms of magic despite being so young, it's proof that my child is a genius!"
Well, not really since I simply bought my first tier using the character creation points back then… Though I decided against telling Mother about that.
She then stretched out her hand and lifted a single finger, materialising a small flame on top of it.
"My child can first try projecting your mana out like this and change it to fire~"
"Umm… Shouldn't we be doing this outside then? I don't want to accidentally burn the house down after all…"
"Ufufufu~ No need to worry my sweet child~ Mother is here to prevent such a thing from happening so you don't need to worry!"
Well, if she says so…
I directed my concentration within myself to find my mana so I can manipulate it.
Thankfully, my proficiency in Mana Management helped quite a bit and I was able to direct it quite easily as compared to the first time I tried.
Stretching out my hand, I directed a small part of it towards my fingertip and tried to imagine it changing into a small flame.
I felt my mana squeeze itself out of my finger and I stared at my fingertip to see… Absolutely nothing happening.
"Ufufufu~ Just imagining the flame is not enough, my little one. To change your own mana into the element, you must also keep in mind the properties of said element. For example, fire burns and has heat, so imagine the flame while also keeping in mind how hot the flame is at the same time~"
Ugh… This is harder than I thought. I'm at least thankful I didn't have to do this for Lumenmancy and Umbramancy, how the hell was I supposed to imagine how darkness and light feels like?
I tried again, this time keeping Mother's advice in mind by thinking about the fire.
I first started out with imagining the roaring flames of a bonfire but quickly shredded that image from my mind, I did not want to create that big of a flame after all.
Instead, I went with the image of a candle flame, imagining my hands cupping over it and feeling the heat that radiated out from said flame.
While holding on to that image, I manipulated my mana at the same time, only to start losing my concentration on holding that candle flame image.
Ok, this is way harder than I thought this would be. It feels like I needed to split my mind just to do this… No wonder it's considered exceptional for normal children to learn magic and why most mages would be content to just stick to one type of magic…
Well, too bad, I'm not a normal child and neither am I most mages.
I tried again, this time directing more of my concentration in maintaining that candle flame image.
Surprisingly, it was easier this time and I managed to hold that image even as I was pushing out my mana and changing it to the fire element.
Why did it suddenly become easier?
Ah… It took me a while but I realised what was happening… Thank you, [Machine Learning].
Honestly, I didn't think it would work this way either but I'm definitely not complaining.
Soon enough, a small flame appeared on my fingertip as big as I had imagined a candle flame to be.
"Ahhh! Well done my child!! Mama is so proud of you!!" Mother squealed, hugging me to her chest.
Damn, that boon is so cheat… I think with this I should be able to learn the other basic elements quickly too.
Alright then! Time to learn all the magic!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C45 First City
Even though I needed to wait another two years to attend the school, Mother had decided I was old enough to follow her on a trip to the mainland to explore. Which means Mother was taking me to the Lehcarouc Kingdom itself for our shopping trip.
It was my first time flying over a long distance and Mother made it look easy.
Like, I knew about migratory birds and all so I figured that there was a lot of gliding involved. Yet knowing and doing it were two very different things.
We started out before the sun had even appeared and we only saw land when the sun was rising to its highest point in the sky. Mother even had to carry me along to speed up the journey when I was tired and when she sped up, she really sped up.
I have a feeling that a normal ten year old Meslatar isn't supposed to be able to fly such long distances on their own…
Regardless, I can see land! And there's a city too!
I angled myself to glied to Mother's side, "Mommy, is that Crown Capital City?"
My words carried over to her without problems thanks to the Aeromancy spell she was casting to prevent the wind from buffeting us.
She shook her head, "Ufufufu~ That is not the capital city my little one. That's Dragon View Trade City, the largest port city of the Lehcarouc Kingdom!"
"Eh? Why aren't we going to the capital city, Mommy?"
"Ufufufu~ While the capital city is the best place for local goods, the trade city is where you want to go to find wares from all over the World! It's the next best place to do your shopping!"
"And the best place is?"
"Ara ara? That will be Latipac City, my little one. It is Lehcarouc Kingdom's centre of trade after all~ But to get there will require more than a day of travel, so we'll go there another time~"
Well, not like I have any special reason to go there specifically anyway, I'm just happy that I'm finally going out there to explore the rest of the World!
Looking down at the city from above, it has a large harbour that stretches out into the open seas connected to a huge area that consists of warehouses and several towers that look like cranes.
Several slopes connected the docks to the rest of the city where its stone and brick buildings stood tall and proud. Off to one side at the edge of the city was a castle complete with its own set of walls, probably the residence of the lord of this city.
It was easy to see that the city was separated into rectangular districts with how different the buildings in each one looked and how they were arranged as well.
The market district was the most prominent since it featured a circular bazaar in the centre with four lanes stretching out in each direction, most likely to separate which kind of specialty stores are on each street.
Mother guided both of us towards the harbour, flaring her wings to land on the stone ground easily.
I landed beside her, finding no difficulty in the manoeuvre despite the clothes I was wearing as well.
Due to Mother's insistence, I was wearing the long sleeved dress that she had bought for me while Mother herself was also wearing a form fitting black dress that showed off her shoulders. In contrast, mine featured a wide skirt that stretched to my shins, hiding the upper part of my legs from view.
"Is it fine for us to just walk in like this?"
"Ufufu~ The harbour also serves as an entry point to the city my dear~ There are visitors who arrive by sea after all~"
True enough, no one even batted an eye at our appearance, which gave me the time to marvel at the people present around here.
Naturally, most of the people around here were Mahuns and they all look like the typical humans you might find in my previous World. But amongst them, there were also other races mixed in too which really drove home the fact that this was a completely new World.
There were elves, dwarves, lizardkin, beastkin and even other Meslatars all moving around the port, each of them going about their day like normal.
It was definitely a fantastical sight to behold.
Mother brought me through the wharf towards what looks like an administration building where most of the people around here were also moving towards or coming out from. I guess that must be the port customs?
Walking into the building confirmed it as people queued up in front of official looking clerks sitting behind desks to allow them entry into the city.
I thought we would need to queue up as well but Mother brought us towards one of the empty counters instead.
The young man behind the counter looked up, "Identification and purpose of visit?"
Mother tilted her head at him, "Are you new here?"
"Umm… Just started this week actually… I'm guessing I did something wrong?"
"At least you're aware. I reside on the Southeastern tip of Dragon Sanctuary with my child and we're here to do some shopping, does that answer your question?"
His eyes widened and he quickly ushered us in, "I am very sorry madam! Please go right in!"
Yep, Mother is definitely someone important even before she had me, this pretty much confirms it.
Mother turned back and gave me a cheeky smile, knowing full well that the conversation with that man earlier had given me an idea of who she really was, though it was still not enough to confirm anything.
Is she hiding this so that I don't grow up like a spoiled noble child?
The two of us made our way into the city, walking past the various groups of people that crowded the streets.
Even though this wasn't the main market district, there were various street stalls set up by the locals selling wares of different kinds, each of them unique in their own way and catering to new visitors.
We moved past them without slowing down, Mother not even giving the people around us a second glance even as they tried calling out to her to sell her things.
I only stopped when I spotted a large building with a crest that I remembered seeing before on Ardi's Mercenary card.
As it was much bigger than on the card, I could now clearly see that the crest featured a weighing scale, a sword, a compass and a shield mixed together, definitely a symbol of The Guild.
At that time, what looked like a party of Mercenaries with their armour and weapons was also walking out of the building. The party itself consisting of a pair of Mahuns, an elf and a dog-eared beastkin.
If I remember correctly, the elves here are known as Trasifs while the dog-eared beastkin are called Inugami, their feline counterparts being called Nekomata.
Both the Inugami and Nekomata still look like Mahuns except for their ears and the tail that sprouts out from their behinds, so no, they are not full-on furries.
Mother noticed my gaze, "Ara, ara? Is my little one interested in checking out The Guild?"
I turned back to her, "Can I, Mommy?"
"Ufufufu~ Mama did say you can sign up as one if you wanted to already didn't I? Shall we take this chance to get you registered?"
"I will need to pass a test right? Could I do it now?"
"Of course! There's no way my little one could fail~ My child is the best in the World after all!"
"Unnn… What happens if I fail?"
Mother giggled, "While that is impossible for my little one, even if one fails the test the first time, they can always try again as long as they pay the sign up fee of two small silver coins."
Woah, seriously? The sign up fee is two hundred Creas? That's quite expensive isn't it?
As though reading my thoughts, Mother continued, "Yes, the fee does look quite exorbitant but it is a lifetime membership that grants you access to The Guild's facilities and resources as well as providing you with a means of making more money. The initial fee serves as a motivation for its members to earn that fee back. It also helps protect their name of course."
Hmm… I understand. If everyone were able to join freely, then The Guild's worth would also decrease since everyone can be a member.
They're also using this to weed out people who wouldn't bring The Guild any benefits too, which is probably why they have that test even after making people pass the monetary hurdle.
"Does Mommy think I should sign up now?"
"Ufufufu~ Why not, my little one? There's no harm in joining The Guild early after all~ In fact, you could even use that to pass these two years and make a name for yourself first!"
Yeah! I can also make use of this to earn the funds I need to set out on my own in the future! Right now I only have the money I looted off that trashy asshole's corpse and that only amounted to about a thousand or so Creas, not that much to be honest.
And this might also help me gain a bit of name so even if I were to stand out in school, the students there might be interested in talking to me so I wouldn't end up as an outsider again!
That's why… Let's just join The Guild first!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C46 Do I Pass?
Full of anticipation, I walked into The Guild's building through its heavy wooden doors.
I was wondering why they would make doors that big until I remembered there are races that are gigantic in size here.
I was kind of expecting the place to double as a tavern but it seems like this wasn't the case here. In fact, it looked more like a bank with its staff sitting behind the counters and the seating slash waiting area off to the side.
The standard quest board is also present, covering the entirety of a wall with various people standing in front of it.
It really is a Guild.
I could see that most of the staff here are Mahuns, though there were a variety of races that looked like mercenaries walking around the lobby.
Mother had given me the money required to sign up and shooed me in, stating that she would wait outside for me since she knew I wanted to do this on my own.
Walking up to one of the counters, I was greeted by the young lady behind the counter. Yes, she's quite pretty too, in case you were wondering.
She gave me a business-like smile, "Welcome to The Guild, is there anything I can help you with?"
"I'd like to join The Guild please," I told her, sliding across the two silver coins I had.
"Oh a new member I see? In that case, I will need you to fill up this form, are you able to read and write?"
I nodded which prompted her to push the paper and pen towards me.
It was a simple form that basically asked about my name, age and race. There is also a section asking about which branch of the Guild I was signing up for and the role I would play in a party in the event I am signing up as a Mercenary or Dungeoneer.
I almost wanted to write 'consumer of sweets' for the role but decided to just settle on 'arcane brawler' instead. Hey, it was the first thing that came to mind, ok?
Yes, I made that up. What else was I supposed to call myself? A magic knight? I'm not even remotely 'knightly' and I'm better with my fists than a sword anyway.
I then circled the Dungeoneer and Mercenary options for the branches before pushing the paper back to her, letting her give it a once over.
"I apologise, Miss Aster… Are you actually only ten years old?" The guild receptionist asked.
"Yes, I am. My Mother did say that I mature faster than others my age, apparently."
"I see… Umm, what is an arcane brawler?"
"Err… I don't know what else to put there but I can use magic and also fight unarmed."
She giggled, "Fufu~ In that case, I can put you down as an all-rounder, Miss Aster. This particular section is for fulfilling specific requests like Mercenary or Dungeoneer parties looking for members to fulfil specific roles in their group, or for clients who require the services of a healer or something similar. You can inform The Guild that you would like to use our matchmaking services and we will forward your Guild information to interested parties for you."
Oh? That's interesting and helpful too, although I'm not looking to do that at the moment.
I decided to change the topic, "I heard there was a test of some sort as well?"
She nodded and stamped on my paper before passing it back to me, gesturing to the door on the other side of the wall.
"You can head through there and inform them that you are a newcomer, there will be someone there to guide you, Miss Aster."
I thanked her and proceeded to the door just as she instructed, opening it to see a set of stairs that led into the basement.
Huh… I'm not being led to some underground child kidnapping ring am I?
Pushing such nonsensical thoughts out from my mind, I descended the stairs to find myself in what looks like a training hall. Inside, there were several people making use of the space to spar and also train on the weights and exercise equipment there.
I guess The Guild also doubles as a gym of sorts?
Near the door was a bald man with a muscular frame who took notice of me as soon as I entered.
"New girl?" He asked, eyeing the registration papers in my hand.
I nodded and handed the papers to him, guessing he must be the guide the receptionist was talking about.
He eyed the contents of the paper before turning back to me with a sceptical look, "Ya ten years old? Seriously?"
"Yes, apparently I'm quick to mature, according to my Mother," I repeated to him what I told the receptionist.
He shrugged and continued reading the rest, "Going straight fer' both a Dungeoneer and a Mercenary eh? Ya sure you're up for it? Ya might need ta kill more 'an just monsters as a Mercenary, ya know?"
Like what Mother said, they weren't even going to question about a ten year old joining The Guild, the reason why they were asking about the age was because average Meslatars wouldn't have grown so large at this age.
He's more concerned that my mentality was not prepared about killing other sentient beings instead.
"That's no problem, I have fought bandits before," I informed him, thinking about that trashy asshole from so many years ago.
He shrugged, "Alright then. Unfortunately we can only do the test for ya Mercenary application as the guy in charge of that test recently retired. Aye suggest ya ta go to another Guild that has a dungeon fer' that."
I nodded to show that I understood and had no problems with that.
He looked back down again, "It says here you're an all-rounder so I assume ya can fulfil multiple roles in a party?"
I nodded again.
He then looked down at the dress I was wearing, "In that case, aye think ya should go change to your combat wear and we can start once ya ready."
"No, no. I can fight like this, you don't need to worry about it," I assured him.
He raised an eyebrow at me, "Are ya taking this seriously? The test will consist of a spar with me, ya know? Didya think it was a written test?"
"I am aware and I assure you, you don't need to worry about my state of dress hindering my movements in any way. You can say that I have been trained to fight while outfitted in unsuitable attire."
The man obviously wasn't that convinced but decided not to argue with me.
He gestured for me to follow him to one of the weapon racks which stored an array of wooden weapons ranging from daggers, swords, maces and even spears and battleaxes.
Picking up a sword from the rack, he then stepped aside to give me space, "Pick any weapon ya like and we'll have a quick spar."
I briefly considered just going in barehanded but decided against it and chose a dagger.
I could have picked two daggers but I wanted to leave my other hand free in case I needed to grapple him.
Speaking of which… Let me just check his stats.
[Name: Trey
Title: Guild Trainer
Race: Mahun
Stats:
32 Strength
64 Dexterity
60 Endurance
10 Magic
Skills:
Martial Skill-(Sword Proficiency (Tier 3), Bow Proficiency (Tier 2), Spear Proficiency (Tier 2), Unarmed Proficiency (Tier 1)), Marksman Skill (Tier 1), Hunting (Tier 1)]
…
Woah… I… Don't know what to say… Why is he so weak? Even Odeta has a chance of beating him…
Wait, no, I should remember that a bear has about forty plus points in strength, a normal Mahun shouldn't even be able to overpower it in pure strength so he's actually quite strong?
I almost pity him right now.
He guided me to an open area which caught the attention of a few of the Guild members nearby, obviously wondering what a girl wearing a dress and heels was doing here.
Trey took out a coin from his pocket, "We'll start as soon as the coin hits the ground, no need to think about defeating me, I'm just here to check your skills so ya can still pass if aye think you are good enough. Dat' alright?"
I nodded, not telling him that I was fully intent on defeating him.
He flipped the coin and both of us waited until the telltale sound of a coin hitting the floor signalled the start of my test.
I rushed forward immediately, stabbing my dagger straight at his chest at a speed that made him widen his eyes in surprise.
He managed to flick his wrist to parry the attack but that left him open for my other hand to reach forward to grab him by his collar.
Placing my left foot out to rest it against the side of his right foot, I pulled my hand with enough force to trip him, switching my grip on my dagger to an underhand grip at the same time.
I shifted my foot back until I had him resting his back on my knee, making him in the perfect position for me to place the blade of my dagger against his neck.
"Do I pass?" I asked, a sweet smile on my lips.
All I got was a blank stare in return.
Er… Did I do good?

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C47 Pay Respect To Your Seniors
"I have ta' say… This is the first time I've been beaten by a newcomer so handily! The name is Trey! Nice ta' meet ya!"
I shook the hand of the man who had accepted his loss gracefully, ignoring the whispers coming from everyone else in the training hall.
"You already know this but I'm Aster. Not to sound weird or anything, I do pass, right?"
"Wahaha! Of course! Here!"
He handed the paper back to me, this time with an "approved" stamped on it.
That easy?
I looked up at him, "Not to sound ungrateful or anything but… Isn't it a little too easy to get registered? It looks to me like anyone can get registered, even criminals."
"Heh, a sharp one ain't ya? Well, ya don't need ta' worry about dat because criminals registering at The Guild is the worst thing they could do. The Guild would have their information after all and it becomes easy ta' identify 'em."
Ah, I suppose having your own details recorded down somewhere would be a big problem if you wanted to stay unknown.
Although that does beg the question of what happens if they partner with someone else to do the crime while the Guild member partner stays clean to make use of The Guild's resources?
Eh… You know what, all of that is none of my business. The only thing I care about is that I passed and that's good enough for me.
I'll have to get my Dungeoneer registration done some other time but it's no big deal since I'm not in a rush to get it anyway.
I thanked Trey once again and he saw me off with a smile and wave, looking especially pleased for some reason.
Going back up the stairs, I arrived at the lobby again and went back to the same receptionist.
The receptionist smiled at me, "Oh? Hello again Miss Aster, did you forget something?"
I tilted my head at her, "Hmm? Not at all, I'm already done with the test. It seems like I can't sign up as a Dungeoneer today though."
"Ah yes, that was my fault, I totally forgot that our Dungeoneer trainer had already… Wait what? You're… Already done?"
"That's right, here you go," I confirmed, sliding the stamped paper across the table to her.
She looked down at the paper before looking back at me, "But… You were there for barely ten minutes… Surely there wasn't enough time for you to change out of your dress?"
"Oh, that's right. I simply just fought the trainer in this."
"And Trey let you pass despite losing to him like this?"
"Not at all. I beat him in the dress, so he let me pass."
She blinked a few times at me but smiled and nodded in the end.
"I see, in that case well done, Miss Aster. Could you place your hand here for a moment?" She asked, presenting some kind of glass orb the size of her fist to me.
Huh, I thought she would continue to question me about it but it seems she has accepted it in the end. I understand how outlandish my claims are after all so I don't blame her for doubting me like this.
Hmm… I just realised I'm doing things that make me stand out aren't I?
Meh… Whatever happens, happens I guess.
I obliged and I could feel a bit of my mana seep into the orb, turning it blue.
"Thank you, please wait a moment while I process your registration."
She took the paper and disappeared through a door in the back, reappearing after a minute with a card in her hands.
"Congratulations Miss Aster, as of this moment you are an official member of The Guild's Mercenary branch."
I took the card from her and surprisingly, there's a picture of me printed on the card despite me not remembering them taking a picture.
"How did you get my picture?"
She giggled, "Hehe, is this your first time seeing it? It uses a special spell that captures your mana you gave me earlier to imprint this card to you. The card itself is attuned to you so even if you were to grow or shift forms, it will still display your picture."
That's pretty cool.
But does that mean that even if you shapeshift, it would still display your new form? I can see why criminals might not want to register with The Guild.
My eyes scanned the rest of the card and I found that my rank was "F Rank".
"I don't suppose there's a way for me to skip ranks?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm afraid not, Miss Aster. The ranks are also an indication of how experienced the Mercenary is so they need to show proficiency in their work to move up the ranks. A strong Mercenary who is unable to complete their requests would be of no benefit to anyone after all."
I guess that is true. Again, I'm in no rush so I'm fine with starting at the bottom and making my way up through the ranks anyway.
She then proceeded to explain the basics of being a Mercenary to me.
As a Mercenary, I am allowed to take any request on the board that is of the same rank as mine or one rank higher. If I am in a party, they will take the average rank of the party as consideration.
I am of course allowed to take private requests but the completion of the request would not contribute to my rank consideration and all responsibility of the request would fall between myself and the client. Meaning I am unable to use The Guild's resources to deal with said request.
As for the Guild's quests, I can directly take them from the board and bring them to any of the reception counters to register my intent to take it. If there is a party involved, then everyone must be registered to the Request or its completion will not be credited to them.
With that, I am now officially a Mercenary.
As much as I would like to go and take a quest straight away, Mother was still waiting for me outside so I left the Guild building after thanking the receptionist for her time.
"Ara ara? Is my little one a Guild member now?" Mother asked upon seeing me exit the building.
I flashed her the card proudly, which earned me a crushing hug from Mother.
"Ahhh~ I knew my little one could do it! Mama is so proud of you!"
"Mnnnghhh!"
She finally let me go after thoroughly cuddling me for a good long minute.
"Ufufufu~ Now, shall we do some shopping first? Maybe we can even have my little one take a quest later?"
I nodded my head enthusiastically, "Let's go then, Mommy!"
She giggled and took me by my arm, pulling me along towards the market district.
We moved along the main streets, enjoying the sights of the various people around us. This was my first time in a city after all so I was definitely marvelling at everything around us.
Unexpectedly, after a few turns, Mother took me down one of the deserted alleys.
I assumed it was a shortcut and didn't question it until we turned the corner and found someone leaning against the wall near us.
It was a man with blue bangs long enough to cover one side of his face and the gear he wore suggested him to be a Mercenary too. He smirked the moment he saw us, his left hand shifting towards the sword on his waist as he pushed himself away from the wall.
I turned back to look behind and, as expected, two more men were there where one was large and muscular while the other was a little on the obese side.
"So you're the one huh?" The man with blue hair sneered. "You're the new girl who joined The Guild and bribed the trainer to pass? Don't you know that it's common courtesy for newbies to pay respects to their seniors? Now, we'll accept all the money you have on you."
Ah, this must be the so-called newbie crushing or something, I'm also assuming these three weren't in the training area to witness my duel with Trey either and just assumed what happened after seeing my interactions with the receptionist.
Also, the fact that Mother chose to take this route meant that she was already aware that we were being followed from the start.
I looked at Mother, wondering what she was planning to do.
"Oh dear! What shall we do, my child? Mama is no good at fighting! If these men were to attack Mama, there would be nothing Mama could do!"
…
She's definitely doing this on purpose.
I turned back to check their stats and quickly realised that they were even weaker than Trey.
Damn… These guys picked the wrong person to screw with…
"I'm going to give you guys one chance to run away before I break something," I warned.
"Pffft! Hahahaha! Look at her boys! Trying to act all tough! You don't understand what's going to happen are you? Just for that… I think we'll have some fun with you first!"
Damn, of course they go straight to that option. Alright then, I already warned them so…
I dashed forward, the blue haired man barely realising I had moved before I had his arm in my grasp.
Raising up my elbow, I slammed it down on his arm with a resounding crack.
Not even waiting to see how he would react, I dashed back to kick the muscular guy in the knee, snapping it and causing his leg to bend backwards.
The obese one widened his eyes at me but I had already punched him in the chest, breaking several of his ribs.
All three men collapsed onto the ground, groaning in pain.
Easy.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C48 Clothes Shopping
"Ahhh~ My heroine~" Mother giggled, hugging me as we left the alley with the three men still groaning in pain back there.
I decided not to point out the fact that Mother could have handled all of them easily too.
"Is that alright, Mommy? If they say something to the guards like we were the ones who attacked them…"
Mother giggled, "Oh you don't need to worry my little one! The guards would listen to Mama over those pieces of trash~"
Well… If Mother is sure about that then there's nothing more for me to say.
The both of us then proceeded to the market district without any other problems after that, the atmosphere of the street changing almost instantly.
I assume the previous area was the harbour and Guild district so the people around there were more rowdy and rough, like those ruffians who tried to extort us.
But here, merchants were much more numerous and the air practically smelled of money.
"What are we looking for, Mommy?"
"Ufufufu~ First thing we have to do is get you new clothes! Ah~ I finally get to go shopping with my little one! Mama feels so blessed!"
She proceeded to guide me towards one of the boutique shops nearby. Judging by its interior and exterior decorations, I'm guessing this shop usually caters to the nobility around here.
Sure enough, a Mahun woman wearing an immaculate suit was at the door to welcome us. Standing beside her was a green-skinned male Wrunch, which are this World's version of orcs. The Wrunch was as large as Ardi in size and I'm guessing he serves as one of the guards of this store.
The Mahun bowed her head at us, "Welcome dear customers, I am Leera, please allow me to assist you in your shopping today."
Mother must be used to such a situation since she barely battered an eyelid at her and simply gestured towards me, "I am looking for clothes for my dearest child. Let me see your best dresses."
Eh… It's hard to say this since we're here but I'm still not used to wearing dresses you know? I mean at most it's a shirt and a skirt for me but not a dress… Even the dress I'm currently wearing feels weird to me…
The woman bowed again, "Please follow me."
We were guided into the interior of the shops where several other well dressed, noble looking Mahuns were also being served by their own shop assistants.
She showed us to one of the shop aloves where a plush couch was built into the wall. Mother went ahead and sat down on it with practised grace allowing the assistant to focus her attention on me.
"My lady, perhaps I could ask what type of dress you would like?"
I decided being honest would be the best choice here.
"I'm not really that used to dresses yet and I move around quite a lot… So I'd prefer it if it was something comfortable to wear on my own and also easy to move in…"
I feel like the answer to my requirement would be 'then just don't wear a dress', but the assistant merely nodded her head and proceeded to measure my sizes.
"Ara, my little one would be having another growth spurt soon, so you can add a few more inches to your measurements~ Incidentally, her bust size will be ninety-five centimetres."
Ok, first of all, how does she know? Second of all, HOW DOES SHE KNOW?"
Is this a mother thing? Is this even normal? Seriously Mother, who are you?
The assistant didn't even question her words and simply adjusted her measurements without another word.
I gave Mother a look but she simply gave me a knowing smile and said nothing more. I already learnt that this meant she knew what I wanted to ask but she wasn't going to explain it to me.
The assistant then wrote down the numbers on a pad she brought out from her suit jacket before leaving us, presumably to get the dresses.
Not five minutes passed and she returned wheeling in a trolley with several dresses hanging on its rack.
She took off one of the dresses from the rack and lifted it up to show us.
The sleeveless dress was green in colour with white frills along the edges. The skirt of the dress flared out slightly at the waist and ended a little bit above the ankles.
Immediately I was shaking my head at it, the dress would definitely tear if I were to make any big movements while wearing it, especially if I were to twist the upper part of my body.
As though already expecting my answer, she replaced it back onto the rack before picking out another one from the rack.
p This one was black in colour with long, puffy sleeves but not too puffy to the point of being too obstructive.
The only problem is that the skirt basically ends less than an inch below the waist. If I were to wear it, my butt would basically be on full display if I were to bend over even just a little.
My face must have told her what my thoughts on the dress was, thus she replaced it back on the rack without hesitation.
The next dress she brought out featured short sleeves, a high collar and a skirt that reached the knees. It was red and white in colour with a bodice included that wraps around the waist. Basically, it looked like what a knightess would wear.
Somehow, just by seeing it, I knew it was the right one for me, as though it was predetermined that I would wear that dress.
"Ufufufu~ It seems like my little one has found the dress she wants~" Mother giggled.
The assistant nodded and brought the dress to me, letting me get a closer look at it.
I ran my hands over the dress, marvelling at the quality of the cloth.
The outer layer seems to be made of a more solid material while the inner parts felt like it was made with silk, the cloth sliding over my fingers and feeling especially soft to the touch.
Best of all… The dress has pockets! This is the best!
"If dear customer has decided on this, we are also able to enchant it for you if you wish to," The assistant added.
Mother smiled at the assistant, "It's fine, we can handle the enchantments ourselves. Has my dearest little one decided on this dress?"
I broke out of my thoughts and nodded at Mother's question.
It was classy enough to pass off as semi formal wear but also loose enough to be worn casually. If it was enchanted, I wouldn't mind wearing this to adventure with it too.
Obviously this wouldn't be used in really formal events but that would involve having specific tailor made dresses in the first place so there's no helping that.
The shop assistant guided me to the dressing rooms beside the alcove where a pair of ladies in maid uniforms were waiting. She then handed the dress over to them and the two maids started to help me strip with experienced hands.
I was so surprised by the action that I didn't manage to stop them before I was standing there in my underwear.
To their credit, they barely batted an eyelid at me and simply proceeded to dress me in the new dress, going so far as to tie up the bodice for me as well.
Soon enough, a mirror was brought in front of me and I found myself wearing the dress.
It might sound weird for me to say this but I think it was perfect.
"Ufufufu~ My little one looks absolutely perfect!" Mother giggled, mirroring my thoughts after having appeared from nowhere. "We shall take this one~"
The maids bowed and proceeded to strip me again, both of them working together to strip me back into my underwear in record time before dressing me back in my original clothes again.
Seriously though? Is this the norm for such shops or is it only limited to this shop in particular?
I admit that I have no confidence in being able to dress myself while outside shopping like this so having someone to help me would definitely be welcome. Perhaps… I should get myself a servant when I go to school? That's a thought I suppose.
Soon enough, I was back in my original dress in perfect condition, my dress wasn't even ruffled either.
The maids then handed over the dress to the assistant before bowing their heads and returning to their original positions.
The assistant took the dress away and hung it on another rack, a sign that this particular item had been chosen.
After that particular dress, the rest of the clothes just looked inadequate so I rejected all of them, leaving only the first dress I had chosen initially.
As expected of such a high class boutique, just this dress alone already costs one gold coin and eight large silver coins for a total of eighteen thousand Creas.
Apparently the price was because it was made using some rare monster materials. I don't even want to imagine the cost of this dress if they had gone ahead to enchant it for us.
At least it was practical even while being stylish.
Just as I thought we were done, Mother clapped her hands together, "Alright! Now onto shoes! My dearest child would like to see the best heels you have! Preferably boots~"
Eh? We're still going? But the dresses already took us three hours!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C49 The Idiots Came Back
We ended up buying several more pairs of shoes, including a pair of boots that I especially liked.
The boots looked like it was made of normal leather until I found out that it was made of dragon hide, which kind of explains why it was the most expensive one out of the bunch.
I felt a little insecure that I was making Mother pay for all this so I used some of the trashy asshole's money to pay part of it, leaving just a few bronze and silver coins for myself.
Mother then used some kind of spell that made our purchases disappear, leaving us free to move on to our next stop.
A shop specifically catered to underwear.
I… Won't say what happened in there, just that Mother was of the opinion that I should get some 'adult' underwear in preparation for my future growth.
On the plus side, I was not the first futa the shop served so it wasn't as awkward as I thought it was. I also didn't expect there to be underwear specifically made for futas too.
With the shopping side of our trip done, it was finally time for the next most exciting part of our trip!
Sweets!!! Cakes!! Desserts!!
Mother brought me to a certain cafe that had an outdoor sitting area and ordered several slices of cake for me. I was in heaven~
Mother's homemade sweets were great but these made by professional chefs had their own unique sweetness as well~ I most certainly would never say no to more sweets!
I moaned as I bit into the slice of strawberry shortcake, enjoying the sweetness that filled up my entire body with absolute happiness.
Mother took a sip of her tea while smiling at me, "Fufufu~ My dearest child is truly the cutest~"
Nnngh… I know I'm letting myself loose but I can't help it! They taste so good!
I was just about to dip a marshmallow into the chocolate fondue when several people appeared beside our table.
"That's her, boss!"
I turned around to see that the three men I had beaten up and left in the alley were now back with five other guys, one of them being a Wrunch while the rest were Mahuns.
The bald Mahun with an eyepatch across his left eye cracked his knuckles and stepped forward, "Heard you had some fun with my boys, little lady. I think you owe us an apology and some medical fees."
I went ahead to dip my marshmallow into the chocolate fondue before stuffing it in my mouth, taking a moment to enjoy the sweetness that exploded in my mouth before finally addressing him.
"I'm enjoying my sweets right now so… Could you kindly go fuck yourself?"
I then dipped the next marshmallow into the chocolate and popped it in my mouth as well.
The bald man moved his hand to the pommel of his sword, "What did you say?"
"Hmm? Are you hard of hearing? I told you to go fuck yourself. Unless you wish your buddies to fuck you instead, I don't judge."
"Do you think you can get away with something like this?!"
I shrugged, "What? Are you going to cut me down in broad daylight in full view of everyone around here? I doubt even you are exempt from the law."
"No, but I can do things like this!"
He raised his hand and attempted to smash his fist onto the table to ruin my desserts, only to be stopped when I caught his wrist with my hand.
Seriously? Is he saying that messing up the table and harassing people in public like this does not even warrant the guards' attention? Is the security of this city actually that bad?
Just so you know, Mother continued to sip on her tea while looking at the newcomers with mild interest. No doubt she was simply watching this like it was some kind of period drama to her.
"I'm currently enjoying these sweets," I told him while making sure he knew I meant business. "Disturb me and I will break that arm like how I broke your underlings'."
He snatched his hand back and I released my grip to allow him to take it back, hoping he got the message.
Had I used my strength, we could be here all day and he wouldn't even be able to move me an inch with his pathetic stats.
Unfortunately it seems like they didn't get the message as three of the other Mahuns immediately tried to attack me, all of them charging me at the same time.
It didn't matter as my tail had lashed out at that moment, smashing into all three of them and sending them crashing onto the ground.
The boss guy immediately turned to his Wrunch follower, "What are you waiting for, Rusk?! Get her!"
The Wrunch actually rolled his eyes before moving to my side, "Alright, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way."
Hmmm… He looks confident so let's see what his stats look like…

Huh… Aside from his strength stat, everything else is just… Bland…
I gave him a fake smile, "Indeed. The easy way is of course all of you simply leaving right now while the hard way is that I break all of your limbs before leaving."
"Just so you know, we're D rank mercenaries. Any one of us could take you on."
I looked pointedly at the state of those people who I had beaten up, "I beg to differ."
"In that case, I can take you on myself," The Wrunch growled, obviously interested in my display of strength.
They are similar to the Amraps in terms of admiring strength after all.
"Oh, I doubt you can even get me to take you seriously, Rusk," I told him with a smirk.
He reached out his hand and tried to grab me but I caught his hand in mine.
The Wrunch tried to crush my hand with his grip but nothing happened even after he tried to exert all of his strength.
I had used my other hand to cut out another bit of my cake to bring to my mouth in a leisurely manner.
"Grrrr! Ho… How are you doing this?!" He growled.
"You haven't figured it out yet? I'm just stronger than you."
I tightened my grip and there was a loud crack as the bones in his hand snapped audibly.
He let out a yell of pain and anybody outside the cafe who wasn't paying attention to us was now looking at our direction.
I let him drop to the ground while taking another bite of my cake, savouring it with relish before pretending to notice that the Wrunch had dropped onto the ground to clutch his hand in pain.
"Oh my, what happened to you? Are you alright, good sir? Are you perhaps trying to fuck yourself down there? You should really do that in private instead of outside a cafe as busy as this."
Obviously losing to me in strength was something he couldn't accept as he quickly got back on his feet and tried to punch me.
Unexpectedly, Mother moved before I could block his punch, stopping him by holding his wrist in between her index finger and thumb delicately.
"My little one is enjoying her tea time, don't you think it's awfully rude of you mongrels to disturb her time? Especially when I'm here?"
"Move aside granny or we'll make you!" The boss warned, pulling out a knife.
"Ara ara! Please help me! These rude men are threatening my dear child and I!" Mother cried out all of a sudden.
And as though on cue, several guards rushed towards us and immediately surrounded the men.
"To think there's people like you who dare to cause trouble in the city under our watch… All of you are coming with us," One of the guards growled.
The boss guy tried to protest, "Wait! She attacked us first! We're the victims here!"
"Mmhmm, a very likely scenario. Round them up lads!"
With how beaten they already were, the guards had no difficulty in tying them up before manhandling them away from us. The leader of the guards even apologised profusely to us for the inconvenience caused before leaving.
I waited until they were gone before turning back to Mother who had already moved back to her seat and continued drinking her tea as though nothing had happened.
"Mommy… Who are you actually?"
"Ara ara? I'm your Mama of course~"
"You know what I mean."
"Ufufufu~ Mama may or may not hold quite a bit of influence in this kingdom but that's not important! How are the cakes?"
No, no, Mother… I'm pretty sure that is quite important… But whatever…
The cakes are very nice Mother, thank you for bringing me here."
"Ufufufu! Hearing you say that makes everything worth it! You truly are the cutest and best child Mama can ask for!"
She then reached over and started patting my head.
Ugh… I knew she wouldn't tell me anything… But whatever, the cakes really are nice though so I'll just overlook it just this once!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C50 Saving Some Merchants
After that little incident at the cake shop, it was time for the next most exciting thing on our agenda! My first quest!
I had changed out of that dress into my combat gear this time despite my [Fashion Forward] boon since the armour could let me store my weapons better.
Again, Mother waited for me outside and let me go in on my own. I've already figured out that this was less likely that she was letting me deal with this on my own but more because The Guild people might recognise her and blow her cover or something like that.
Again, I already decided not to care so much about it and just rolled with it.
Moving towards the board, I took a look at the list of quests and realised they had been divided into their relevant sections of branches. Thus, I went towards the Mercenary side of the quest board since my current affiliation only allows me to take Mercenary quests.
The quests were also sorted by ranks so it was easy to find the F and E rank quests on the board.
Let's see what we got…
'Find lost pet', 'Mow lawn', 'Deliver letter', 'Investigate missing person', 'Accompany caravan', 'Deliver herbs', 'Hunt down my ex', 'Protect me from my crazy ex', 'Help with Goblin infestation', 'Find the legendary Dragonslayer blade of Eternity'...
Oh? I can do the E rank Goblin infestation one.
Since it's an E ranked quest, I'm guessing there should only be a handful of them and more of a nuisance than an actual threat. The location of the goblin nest is also just a little ways down the road and into the forest, so I can simply fly there and deal with it quickly.
What's more, it's already sunset so the darkness of the night would actually help me even more.
I went ahead to take down that particular quest, bringing it to the counter.
Oh, coincidentally, I got the same receptionist again.
"Oh, hello Miss Aster!" She greeted me with a smile. "I see you've chosen a quest?"
I nodded and passed over the paper to her, "Yes, I have. Although I never really got your name?"
"Oh, silly me! You can call me Clara! Thank you for your support!"
"Ah, likewise!"
She then looked down at the request, "Oh? A goblin subjugation quest? Even though it's E ranked, it would be best to take them with a group. There's around twenty of them I believe. Would you like me to put up a party request?"
"Og, there's no need, I can solo it. I've fought large groups of goblins by myself before," I assured her.
"Umm… It's also almost nightfall though, are you prepared to camp out today?"
"Oh, that's fine too, I can fly there!"
She looked at me for a few moments before nodding her head, "I see, in that case, how about I register you as the taker for the quest but you wait until tomorrow to set off? I'll put in a party request just to see if there's anyone else interested in going along? There might be a few Mercenaries trying to raise their ranks too."
Hmm… She doesn't believe me, huh? Can't blame her though, since even I know Meslatars don't have wings powerful enough to fly at my current age.
I guess from her understanding, I might just be some newbie who is trying to show off after getting lucky with the test.
I decided to just nod along but I'll set out right away after this.
Clara took the quest notice alongside my Guild card, placing it inside some kind of box before taking the card out.
"There, the quest is now registered to you! You can pour your mana into the card and it will show the Guild quests that are currently registered to you!"
I tried doing that and an image that showed the notice I had taken from the quest board appeared in front of the card. I'm guessing if I were to take multiple quests, multiple images would also appear.
I thanked Clara for her help before leaving the building. Despite her not trusting my abilities, I know she was just trying to look out for me so I don't hold it against her.
"Ara ara? It seems my little one has chosen your first quest?" Mother asked with a knowing smile on her face.
I nodded and quickly showed the quest to her.
"Oh? Goblin subjugation? My little one will have no problems in that case~ Shall Mama follow you?"
"It's ok, Mommy, I'll take care of it by myself!" I assured her.
"Ufufufu~ Then Mama shall go and get an inn for us to stay in the city~ I'll come find my little one when you've returned!"
She gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before skipping away while humming a tune. I have a feeling that she might just watch over me from afar despite saying that.
I made sure to leave through the city entrance first before spreading my wings and flying away. I didn't want to risk getting into trouble for something like illegally flying out of the city since I don't see anyone else doing it.
With my trusty map as my guide, I found the location of where the reported Goblin infestation was.
Unlike the ones I found back in Dragon Sanctuary who chose to live in a cave, these had built up a few primitive huts and had settled themselves in a small clearing.
Their stats were the same as the others so this should be an easy quest, until I realised that the number of Goblins inside the village seems to be a little too small compared to the number of huts around. Like… There's five huts that would easily fit five Goblins each but I'm counting only four of them gathered around a cooking pot.
Clara also said there should be around twenty of them, so where's the rest?
I even flew around for a little bit but it doesn't seem like the other Goblins are inside the huts too.
Ah, I guess most of them are probably out foraging or raiding. Guess I'll just deal with the Goblins around here and wait for the rest to return.
I dropped straight down in the middle of the village, surprising the Goblins that were there.
Three of them drew their clearly stolen swords while the last one fumbled with his bow.
I didn't let them have a chance to do anything else as my summons appeared behind them and cut them down easily.
I'm still making more summons every day and I have quite a sizeable force now, like maybe around a thousand of them? Most of them are the weak versions of me though and I only have like ten that are as strong as me right now.
I had them collect the Mana Crystals from their dead bodies and also cut off their ears which would serve as my proof of defeating them.
Just in case, I also sent my summons to check the huts and found them all empty, but the bed cots inside of them definitely suggested there should be more than four goblins staying here.
Thus, I called up more of my summons and left them to hide around the place in preparation of ambushing the others when they came back.
I didn't have to wait long as shouts came from the forest a few minutes later and I spotted a group of twenty Goblins moving through the forest, obviously returning to this village.
They were not alone though.
A few of them were dragging a few wagons behind them, each one containing several boxes of food, spices and various other items that were obviously meant for trade.
Needless to say, they definitely raided some poor merchant caravan to get this loot.
As if to confirm my suspicions, being dragged along behind them were several Mahun women that had their hands tied with rope and their mouths gagged.
Despite their struggling, the Goblins continued to pull them along towards their village while shrieking at them.
Well… Looks like I'm going to become a heroine again.
The Goblins rolled into the camp and started chattering noisily, most likely to call out the four comrades they had left behind to guard the camp.
Too bad I already hid the corpses so the only way they would know those four are dead is if they go close enough to the cooking pot to see the blood stains.
While they were still distracted, I dropped myself down in front of the captives and spread my wings out protectively, successfully gaining the attention of everyone around here.
"Boo."
That was all they heard before my summons came out of the shadows and sliced the Goblins apart, leaving just one for me to kill with my dagger who just so happens to be the one pulling the captives' rope.
Just like that, the entire group of goblins were decimated. Easy.
I dismissed my summons and turned back to face the women, "Hello. I'm sorry I couldn't save you all earlier. I'm Aster, a Mercenary from the Guild. I got a request to clear out the goblin infestation here."
It's important to introduce yourself upon a first meeting, even more so when these people are obviously still in shock and fear so I have to reassure them first before doing anything else.
Hearing my words, they eventually calmed down enough to allow me to free them from their restraints.
One of the more well dressed ladies came up to me and curtsied, "Thank you Miss Aster, for coming to our rescue… I am Linette, the current leader of this merchant convoy and the heir of the Tiara Merchant company. If you hadn't come when you did… No doubt these monsters would have had their way with us before we would be slaughtered like animals…"
I waved my hand, "No thanks needed, it's normal to help someone who is in need after all. I only regret that I could not prevent this before it happened."
I didn't miss out the fact that she claimed to be 'current' leader of the merchant convoy, meaning that most likely the former leader was already killed or something.
Most likely the Goblins killed all the men in their raid and captured only the women.
She curtsied again, "Regardless, I would like to reward you for your help. Is there anything you would like? Anything from our cargo is free for your choosing."
I shook my head, "It really is fine. I'm more worried about you girls needing to recover from this though?"
She smiled, "We were already prepared to die before Lady Aster came to save us. If Lady Aster is hesitant to accept a reward for saving our lives, then how about as payment for escorting us to Dragon View Trade City?"
"Hmm… I suppose I can do that, I have to head back there to report the quest completion anyway. What do you have in mind?"
"In that case, please allow me to offer you the most valuable item we have here."
I thought they would be bringing me some kind of precious metal but when the item was brought to me…
In front of me was a young girl with lupine ears and tails and the only one among the females to be cuffed with a collar while wearing a shirt way too big for her size.
"This is Hisei, an Inugami slave we were planning to sell in the Trade City and we now offer her to you."
Ah… I should have expected the slave girl event…

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C51 First Escort Quest
"I… I am Hisei… Mistress…" The girl bowed, her wolfish tail tucked in between her legs.
Her hair was in a mess and it hung forward to cover most of her face, hiding most of it from view though her eyes still managed to peek through the gaps between.
I looked at Lisette.
She smiled, "She's a debt slave that was sold to us by her family from the Nekinumi Kingdom, we were planning to sell her here so that she would be brought up to Modgnik Republic via the sea route to be trained but if Lady Aster likes her, you can have her as your own. If she's not enough, we are happy to compensate more as well."
I turned back to the wolf girl who shivered slightly when she saw my gaze.
A regular Off-Worlder might start protesting about this slavery thing and demand Hisei be set free, but I'm not a regular Off-Worlder.
Let's look at it this way… Even if she was set free, where would she go? Her family had already sold her off, she's in a place she is unfamiliar with and she has no power of her own. It wouldn't be surprising for her to die in a ditch somewhere within the week.
Even if I were to reject this offer, she would still be shipped off to become a slave anyway and her fate might be worst off with whoever buys her later too.
But with me, I can at least guarantee that she would live a better life than she has. The only problem is… Should I take her?
"How much was she sold for?" I asked.
"Despite being only eleven years old, she is already at orange tier for her Pyromancy. What's more, she is able to read and write as well, so she was sold for one large gold coin."
Orange tier? Ah, that's Pyromancy's tier two I believe. I've just been referring them as numbers all this while but there's specific names for each magic and skill since my [Screen] also uses numbers.
Also… That's one hundred thousand Creas. Funny how you can put a price tag on people in this World.
I did a quick check on them.

Oh what do I know?
Also… Wow, Umbramancy. I'm guessing she learnt it to aid her in her assassinations? It would make sense I suppose.
That kind of contradicts her name though, even though her pyromancy sure does make up for it.
I have a feeling the others don't know about her assassination and Umbramancy skills though, otherwise I'm pretty sure her value would definitely be higher than this.
"What are your thoughts on this arrangement?" I asked Hisei.
She bowed her head again, "I… I have no opinion… Mistress…"
Hmm… I can't tell if her spirit is actually broken or she's just pretending. For all I know, she might be thinking about putting herself in my care and then killing me so that she could run away later.
I weighed the pros and cons a little more. I do want someone to accompany me to school and to also help me with my daily stuff so having an assistant would help. She's only a year older than I am despite my body currently looking older but that doesn't matter.
Eventually, I turned towards Linette, "I accept. I can escort all of you to Dragon View Trade City. Are you able to move right now?"
She nodded, "We will only bring the smaller and more valuable items alongside some camping tools with us. We will leave the carts here to be retrieved later on after hiring more people."
Just as she said that, some of the women who I had freed came up to me and placed the goblin ears and Mana Crystals in front of me. It seemed like while I was talking to Linette, they had already helped me extract these.
I thanked them and brought out my Pack of Folding, "No need to worry about that, I have a special backpack here that should be able to store all of your things easily."
She eyed the bag but quickly bowed, "Then we are even more in your debt, Lady Aster. I may still only just be the heir and not hold a lot of power, but I will ensure the best service is rendered to you should you use us in the future for your business transactions."
Ah, quite a shrewd one isn't she? Already trying to secure a possible route of business despite the disaster she just went through.
Oh well, it's also good for me to have a group of merchants I can trust… Somewhat.
I quickly stored everything into the backpack, everyone watching in wonder as the carts were easily sucked into the backpack.
Hefting the pack on my back, I turned back to the women, "Alright, let's go. Hisei, stay close to me."
"Ye… Yes, Mistress…"
I let Linette and her group lead the way while I watched over them from behind, allowing her to set the pace for the journey back to the city.
The journey was relatively peaceful and there wasn't any danger as I had my summons out and accompanied us while hidden in the darkness. So even if any monsters were to attack, I would be informed of them beforehand.
That gave me the chance to talk to the Inugami girl to get to know her a little better.
"Why were you sold?"
"... Parents' debt…" She finally said after a while.
"Do you want to go back to them?"
"... No."
"Do you wish to be free?"
"... That is not a question you ask slaves, Mistress…"
"Heeeh~ Aren't you mature?"
"Mistress is not much older than me… Aren't you?"
I tilted my head at her, "You can tell?"
"I've read that Meslatars grow quickly… So I guessed that you are probably around my age as well…"
"Fufu~ Aren't you a smart one? Here, have a sweet!" I offered her.
She looked at the offered candy and hesitated for a moment before deciding that it would be wiser to take it.
"Thank you… Mistress…"
She kept the sweet in her hands but made no move to eat it.
I smiled wryly at her, "You haven't answered my question yet. Do you wish to be free?"
She looked up at me and realised I was serious before looking back at her feet.
"I… I do not know… I have nowhere to go… Even if Mistress were to set me free, I do not know what I could do…"
"Then are you planning to kill me with that assassination skill of yours after I take you in?"
Her head whipped towards me, her eyes wide.
I grinned, "Can't hide those skills from me~ So, are you?"
"I… Once I have been registered as Mistress Aster's slave… My life is in your hands. Unless Mistress releases me, I won't be able to harm you as long as this collar is on me…"
I narrowed my eyes at the collar.
[Minor Slave collar: Magically enchanted collar that prevents the wearer from harming the one recognised as the owner of the slave. Current owner: Linette Tiara]
Hmm… Interesting. I suppose Linette will switch the ownership after we get to the town. If she doesn't, then I'll deal with her.
Also… 'Minor' slave collar? Are you telling me there are different kinds of slave collars out there? Damn…
"Then do you have a dream, Hisei?"
She hesitated for a moment, "No… I was not allowed to have dreams."
Huh… Complicated family I guess? I don't think she's willing to tell me anything about it though.
We travelled the rest of the journey in comfortable silence, eventually stopping by the roadside to set up camp after exhaustion finally kicked in.
I was offered a tent for myself but I declined, telling them that I will keep watch but I let Hisei sleep in it instead.
The women then crashed into their own sleeping bags, too exhausted to eat anything tonight.
That gave me the chance to fly back to the town, leaving my shadow summons to guard the camp in my stead. Landing outside the gates, I showed my Guild card and the guards allowed me through, letting me make my way towards The Guild.
Surprisingly, Mother was there waiting for me.
"Ara, ara? My dearest child has already returned so soon? As expected of my little one!"
"Unnn… Hello Mommy… Unfortunately I'm not done yet. A group of merchants were attacked and they hired me to escort them. Umm… They offered me an Inugami slave girl as payment…"
"Ara ara? How wonderful~ My little one is already picking up girls so soon~ Is my little one going back now?"
I decided to ignore the picking up girls comment, "As soon as I turn in the goblin quest."
"Ufufufu~ Then Mama shall see you tomorrow~"
With that, Mother gave me another kiss on the cheek before skipping away again.
Right… Let's just submit the quest and go back to camp, maybe I can find another quest that can be completed on the way back as well.
Hey, efficient farming is the way to go!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE OTHER TRANSMIGRATORS IN MY HAREM FANTASY?C52 Her Duel Request
Surprisingly, Clara was still working and was completely shocked that I completed the quest in less than a few hours.
Good thing she recovered quickly and processed it for me professionally, congratulating me on completing my first quest and I was two silver coins richer.
By now, she should have realised I was the real deal.
I took a look at the request board again, the Guild being much more empty than before since it's already so late at night.
I managed to find a request that involved picking up herbs in an area nearby where we had set up camp so I took that one and registered it with Clara again. Apparently the herbs are used in some minor alchemical recipes so there's still a demand for them.
This time she processed the quest without any words of doubt, even wishing me good luck and asking me to be careful before handing my card back to me.
Thanking her once more, I flew back to the camp and sat myself down in my spot where I could see the entire camp before settling myself down to sleep, leaving the security to my summons.
The night passed with only a single attack from some wolves passing by but my summons managed to handle it without any problems. Even going so far as dismantling them and leaving the materials out for me to collect when I woke up the next morning.
While I was storing the materials, Hisei crawled out from her tent while rubbing her eyes sleepily.
"Good morning Hisei, did you sleep well?"
She looked at me with confusion at first before her eyes widened slightly, probably remembering that yesterday was not a dream.
"Good morning… Mistress… I… I did," She greeted back before noticing the dead wolves. "Were we attacked last night?"
"Yeah, just a few Hell Wolves, nothing to worry about."
"I… I see… I wasn't aware we were attacked…"
I giggled, "I guess you must have been really tired after the goblins last night. Not to worry, we should reach the town in the afternoon today. Also, I already got some breakfast stew cooking. Could you check the pot and prepare the portions for the others?"
She turned to look at the cooking pot that I left simmering over the fire and nodded, leaving me to store the rest of the materials.
Soon enough, the other ladies also started climbing out of their tents, only remembering what happened yesterday when they saw me.
I already expected some of them to still be recovering from the trauma so I had Hisei distribute the stew to them.
Hisei then came to me with a bowl as well, I thanked her for it until I realised she does not have one of her own.
"Hisei? Where's yours?"
"I read that slaves only eat the leftovers that their owners give them."
I sighed, "Well, that's only for the really bad owners or if the slaves are being punished. It is counterproductive to starve a slave otherwise since it decreases their ability to work. So go and take a bowl for yourself, don't be shy."
"Th… Thank you… Mistress…"
I suppose Hisei got most of her knowledge from reading books but has little experience outside… Though I'm not one to talk since I'm in the same position myself. That thing about lowering productivity is just my own views though.
Seeing that the Inugami girl got her own food secured, I went over to the others to greet them.
"Good morning ladies."
"Good morning, Lady Aster, thank you for the stew, even though we should be the ones making it," Linette greeted.
"No need to worry, everyone must have been exhausted and it's no big deal for me."
She smiled a little before turning serious again, "I apologise Miss Aster, but is it alright for me to see your Guild card?"
"Ah, of course."
I fished it out and handed it to her, prompting a few of the other girls to lean over to look as well.
"Eh? Lady Aster is… An F rank?"
"Yes, I only just joined the guild yesterday but I have been training my whole life."
"Ah… That makes sense… I suppose that's why you took the quest to deal with the Goblins alone too…" She noted, handing the card back to me.
"If you don't mind me asking… What happened to your convoy?"
Linette flinched visibly at my question so I quickly added, "If you don't want to say it, it's fine."
"No, no… It's alright… I… Lady Aster already knows I'm the heir to the Tiara Merchant Company right?"
I nodded slowly, wondering what this was about.
"As the heir, I have been trying to learn the ropes so I accompanied this caravan for this trip. The… Former leader of this caravan was one of our merchants… He had been trying to woo me for a while now despite me telling him I wasn't interested. So he colluded with the guards to arrange this… Accident for me…"
I looked at the other ladies and they shuddered, remembering what almost happened to them.
"Wouldn't he and the guards also lose his head for letting the heir meet such an accident?" I asked.
She shook her head, "He was already planning to run off to Shendhala Oligarchy to join another merchant company there so there was no loss to him. The guards also followed him as well… That's why they didn't even try to protect the goods."
Ugh… The mentality that if they can't have it, no one else can huh? How lame…
Linette sighed and continued, "When we were passing through that area, the bastard and his goons tied us up and left us after luring the goblins to us. That's where you found us, Lady Aster."
"I see… That merchant truly is trash."
"If only I was aware of his intentions… I would not have put everyone through this…"
The other women started to reassure her that it wasn't her fault, giving me an idea that these women were probably her retainers or something.
She smiled at them before turning back to me, "Thank you again for saving us, Lady Aster. The stew was delicious too."
I nodded at her thanks before standing up, "Well, shall we get ready to go?"
The camp was quickly taken down and we got ready to move again, though I told them we would need to make a quick stop along the road to pick up the herbs I took for my other quest.
The trip there was quiet enough with Hisei remaining by my side throughout the walk. I did notice that she was looking at me with rather weird eyes though but whenever I turned to her she would look away awkwardly.
We eventually reached the part of the road where the herbs could be found in the field beside the road.
It's less than half a day's trip from the town and the area is pretty safe, thus this was classified as an F rank quest.
The quest was also quite unpopular with beginners since the herbs were hard to identify if one isn't knowledgeable about them, so it's easy to pick the wrong herbs.
Which is also why not a lot of people are doing this quest and we had the entire field to ourselves.
It was the perfect opportunity for us to take a break too so I let the others rest while I went ahead to pick the herbs. Hisei also joined me despite me telling her that she didn't need to, but I appreciated her help.
"Are these the ones… Mistress?" Hisei asked, showing me the herbs she had picked.
I glanced at them and used [Screen] to check them, a boon that I've been using to cheat in finding the correct herbs despite myself not knowing enough about them.
"Oh? You have a talent for this, Hisei. Well done!"
"No… I just learned how to find them from Mistress…"
"Still, it's quite impressive of you, good job!" I praised, reaching out to pat her head.
Unexpectedly, she flinched upon seeing my raised hand before hastily apologising, "Sorry… Mistress…"
I shook my head and took back my hand, "It's alright, why don't you--"
I stopped myself when I heard a growl coming from nearby.
Standing up, I immediately unsheathed my dagger just as a Hell Wolf Alpha burst from the undergrowth to rush towards me.
Huh… I'm guessing it must have ran away from one of my summons who was patrolling the area. But to think the Alpha would run away from its pack…
"Go to the others," I instructed Hisei.
"Let… Let me fight too! That's a Hell Wolf Alpha, Mistress! They are much stronger than a normal Hell Wolf!"
"No, I can handle it. Stay back."
Without waiting for her answer, I sheathed my dagger and rushed forward. For an opponent like this, there was no need for me to be armed.
The wolf leapt forward with its jaws opened wide and claws striking towards me.
I heard the shouts of alarm coming from behind but I ignored them in favour of concentrating on the monster wolf in front of me.
Just as it reached striking distance of me, I lowered myself and punched upwards, striking the wolf under its chin and sending it airborne.
I leapt after it and delivered a kick to its neck, breaking it with a loud crack and killing it instantly.
The corpse of the wolf crashed back onto the ground just before I landed.
After facing wyverns and infant dragons, such monsters are of no consequence to me anymore!
I turned back to see the others staring at me with wide eyes.
Eh? Were they shocked to see the Hell Wolf Alpha? I suppose normal people would probably just run away from monsters like these and seeing one defeated in front of them might have been quite shocking.
Hisei came up to me with a resolute expression on her face.
"Mi… Mistress Aster… Please… Duel me."
