Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Big Brother Ao, Twin Spirits?

The sausage melted in the mouth, transforming directly into pure soul power that flowed into Dai Mubai's body, continuously restoring him.

Having already been somewhat drained, Dai Mubai quickly perked up after consuming Oscar's first soul skill. He couldn't help but be amazed wasn't this soul skill a little too powerful?

In just a short moment, most of his soul power and stamina had been replenished, and even the pain from his previously fractured arm had lessened.

This level of effectiveness was primarily due to the massive difference between Oscar's soul power level and his own.

The sausage had been crafted when Oscar was at level 29 for Dai Mubai, a single piece was more than enough to fuel a full recovery.

"Teacher Zhao, does this mean I passed the assessment, or did I fail?"

Dai Mubai, supported by Ma Hongjun, couldn't help but ask Zhao Wuji.

Zhao Wuji laughed:

"While this match was indeed a test, passing it doesn't necessarily require a win. Gaining Little Ao's approval is your true mark of entry."

Upon hearing this, Dai Mubai felt joy mixed with surprise his gaze instinctively lingered longer on Oscar standing beside Zhao Wuji.

It wasn't just Ma Hongjun who blindly idolized this silver haired youth even Vice Dean Zhao Wuji, a Soul Sage, held Oscar in such high regard?

But didn't Ma Hongjun just say that what Dai Mubai had just eaten was Oscar's first soul skill?

If so, wouldn't that mean Oscar was a food type spirit master?

Judging by the effects of the skill and Oscar's age, he was clearly a genius not inferior to Ma Hongjun. But food type soul masters were auxiliary how could a support type earn the adoration of a power type like Ma Hongjun and the deep respect of the Vice Dean?

Was gaining Oscar's approval now the true standard for admission?

When did food type soul masters become this formidable?

While Dai Mubai was still digesting this thought, Oscar leapt down from the high platform and approached him.

"Your right forearm has a minor fracture. I'll do a simple wrap. Given your physique, half a month of rest should do the trick."

Oscar spoke while already beginning to bandage Dai Mubai.

Dai Mubai didn't resist. Instead, he studied Oscar closely. Up this close, he could clearly see just how handsome this guy was.

And his skin? Incredibly smooth.

"Pah, pah, pah! What the hell am I even thinking?"

Dai Mubai shook his head forcefully to dispel such strange thoughts.

Soon, Oscar finished the bandaging and suspended the arm from Dai Mubai's neck to keep it immobilized.

"Name's Oscar. Martial Spirit: Supreme Sausage. I'm currently the 'big brother' of Shrek."

Oscar smiled slightly.

"Of course, if you want the title, you're welcome to challenge me for it."

"Huh? What?"

Dai Mubai froze, surprised.

"Aren't you a food type soul master?"

Ma Hongjun chuckled from the side:

"Heh, Brother Ao isn't as simple as you think. But if you want to challenge him, you'd better beat me first."

Dai Mubai forced a bitter smile. He was twelve and at level 25, while Ma Hongjun was only nine and already level 25.

He couldn't compete in talent or strength.

Challenge Oscar? He couldn't even beat Ma Hongjun!

Still, Dai Mubai couldn't help but ask:

"What was your innate soul power?"

Ma Hongjun grinned:

"Level nine."

"What?!"

Dai Mubai was stunned. His own innate soul power was also level nine so why was there such a gap?

Ma Hongjun looked at his expression and asked:

"Wait, you also had level nine innate soul power?"

Dai Mubai nodded, a bit embarrassed:

"Yeah, and I've been training hard. How the hell did you get so far ahead?"

Ma Hongjun glanced at Oscar and replied:

"Because of Brother Ao. If you train under him, it's practically impossible to fall behind."

He involuntarily shivered, recalling those brutal training sessions.

He still didn't know how he'd survived them.

Dai Mubai looked again at Oscar, recalling what Ma Hongjun had said about him being a sword genius. His suspicions only grew.

Could it be... a twin spirit?

Coming from a royal background, Dai Mubai had knowledge and experience.

Combining the sausage martial spirit and Ma Hongjun's comments about swordsmanship prodigy only twin martial spirits could explain this.

He couldn't help but marvel:

Is this the true nature of Shrek Academy, the school that only accepts monsters?

If so, maybe he really could learn something here.

Perhaps even surpass his "big brother" one day...

The thought rekindled hope in Dai Mubai's previously discouraged heart.

Zhao Wuji watched the three chatting comfortably and said:

"Now that you all know each other, Little Ao, take Dai Mubai to the dormitory. Help him get familiar with the campus."

Oscar nodded:

"Leave it to us."

Zhao Wuji stayed behind, while Ma Hongjun said to Oscar:

"Brother Ao, I'll go back to help Teacher Li."

Oscar nodded in acknowledgment and turned to Dai Mubai:

"Can you walk by yourself?"

Dai Mubai nodded and followed Oscar out of the square.

On the way, Oscar introduced the campus and explained each teacher's background.

When Dai Mubai heard that the lowest ranked instructor at Shrek Academy was a Soul Emperor, he was utterly shocked.

As a prince, he clearly understood how rare highlevel soul masters were and yet this tiny academy had several?

Even more mind blowing was that one of them was a Soul Douluo!

Though Oscar mentioned that the Douluo was his personal teacher and didn't teach classes, this only made Dai Mubai even more curious about Oscar's identity.

Oscar wasn't just respected by Ma Hongjun even Vice Dean Zhao Wuji treated him like a son.

Now there was also a Soul Douluo backing him?

After some hesitation, Dai Mubai decided to ask directly even if it was a bit blunt, he figured Oscar was approachable enough.

"Brother Ao, what level are you now? You don't look much older than Ma Hongjun."

Oscar was momentarily surprised by the title, then smiled:

"You can call me that. After all, strength is everything here at Shrek."

Dai Mubai nodded as if it were only natural. Despite his own pride, he couldn't even beat Ma Hongjun how could he act arrogant toward someone even stronger?

To Dai Mubai, Oscar was almost certainly a twin spirit wielder.

"I just hit level 30 this afternoon. I'm two years older than Hongjun eleven this year."

Oscar answered honestly.

Dai Mubai was stunned.

Eleven years old, level 30?!

No wonder Ma Hongjun idolized him. Even Dai Mubai had never heard of such a monstrous talent!

"Then Brother Ao... are you the legendary Twin Spirits? The sausage spirit is obviously food type, but Hongjun said you're also a sword genius."
