—The Spirit Gate Fracture:
Following Neuron's path, the team reached the Spirit Gate, a massive circular construct floating mid-air, with waterfalls pouring upward from it.
But it was cracked.
The balance between body and soul had broken. Spirits leaked through in waves — some peaceful, others monstrous.
Astraeus stepped forward with both the Heart Flame Core and Cryo Core burning in sync.
Thalessa hesitated. "You're not just becoming a Phoenix anymore. You're becoming a Conduit of the Realms."
Suddenly — the gate pulsed.
A form emerged — Eren, possessed by something older and crueler.
—Eren's Curse:
Eren's body floated, limp, but his eyes glowed with purple flame.
"He's trapped inside a Wraith Binding," Joga whispered. "He's being used as a battery."
The spirit possessing Eren laughed. "The boy was weak. His soul cracked under the pressure of the Spirit Domain. But his body is perfect."
Astraeus flared His wings with golden aura.
"I'm not going to fight you," he said to Eren.
Instead, he summoned the Cryo Core and Heart Flame together — and pressed both into Eren's chest.
A scream echoed across all three Realms.
And Eren fell.
Alive.
Breathing.
Living.
But changed.
His body pulsed with both spirit mist and
soul flame.
"I remember," Eren whispered. Everything."
—Gathering storm:
With Eren saved, the Realms began to shift.
The Spirit Domain opened fully, revealing cities of floating soul lanterns and towers made of dreamglass. But the people were gone.
"All taken," Eren said, eyes haunted. "The Ash lords took them to the Rift Gate."
Cirrael's wings trembled. "That gate was locked after the last Titan War. If they're opening it again…"
"Then the final war is about to begin," Astraeus said.
He looked to the sky — where the broken moon now pulsed faster.
They had days.
Maybe less.
—The War of Realms has begun:
17 days later.
The Ash lords sent their first waves — an army of corrupted elementals born from flame, mist, and sky.
Astraeus led the charge.
Eren fought alongside him, wielding spirit chains and soulfire spears. Cirrael unleashed tidal prisons that shattered mountains. Thalessa guided them with her stormsong.
The Realms united.
But then the Rift Gate cracked open.
And the Titan of Salt and Cinder stepped through.
A being the size of continent.
Eyes of ash. Heart of molten bone.
And behind him, five dark stars spun in orbit —the Celestial Chains.
—The Celestial Chains:
The Titan roared.
Destroying a whole entire city with one roar.
His voice caused memory loss in weaker minds. Entire squads of elemental warriors collapsed, forgetting who they were.
Cirrael led a group to seal the first Celestial Chain — a floating star of gravity magic — but was struck by the Titan's ash breath, turning half his body to stone.
Astraeus gathered the Realms' cores inside himself.
"I have to burn brighter," he whispered.
The Phoenix wings grew again.
Now three-layered.
One flame.
One ice.
One spirit.
And then—
Astraeus became light.
—Astraeus Ascends:
As the Titan raised his fist to destroy the Spirit Gate, Astraeus flew upward — leaving behind a trail of multicolored flame.
The Phoenix sang inside him.
The Realms sang with him.
He struck the Titan with a fusion of all three cores — flame, frost, and soul.
The Titan staggered.
A new core awakened within Astraeus — the Star Core, forged from the Rift itself.
And then…
The Phoenix grew seven wings.
The real battle had only just begun.
But then a huge white light covered Landara and everything changed.
—The Merchant's Secret and restarting from beginning but different:
Joga's small shop wasn't just filled with glittering relics and shimmering fabrics—it was a map to other realms.
Astraeus sat on a floating cushion, staring at a glowing crystal orb suspended above the floor, "you're telling me there are other elemental realms?" He asked.
Joga chuckled, his one silver eye gleaming.
"You think Landara is the only one? There are three more, bot. Crysansa, Lavaron, and Windra. Each with power you'll need,"
"Why would I trust you?"
"Because," Joga said, leaning in, "I want the Ocean King dead just as much as you do."
—Crossing into Crysansa:
Joga opened a portal using a cracked gem.
Blue light wrapped around Astraeus as he stepped into Crysansa—a realm of sharp beauty. Floating towers of crystalline water spiraled into the skies. The ground shimmered like glass.
Astraeus was nearly impaled by a shard the moment he arrived. A warrior in transparent armor attacked, mistaking him for an invader. Astraeus fought him off, barely managing to subdue the man.
A young girl, princess Cryselle, called off the soldiers. "You're not from here. Why have you come?"
"I need your help. A war is coming. Landara must fall."
—Crystal Trial:
Before the Crysansans would offer aid, Astraeus had to pass a trial Known as the Refractum—a labyrinth of mirrors and illusions meant to bend one's soul.
He saw his father's burning corpse reflected in the crystal walls. He saw his self crying in a ruined house. Each vision tried to tear him apart. But Astraeus pushed through,
finding the core chamber where the Crystal Guardian resided.
"I don't seek perfection," Astraeus said. "Just clarity."
The Guardian, a glowing serpent of glass, bowed. "Then take the Blessing of Reflection."
—Lava's Door:
A portal opened from the core of a glowing gem. Astraeus leapt into Lavaron.
Instantly, he was scorched by heat. The skies burned red, rivers of magma twisted between obsidian peaks. He collapsed, only to awaken in a lava-forged cage.
"Another outsider," growled a massive woman with skin like molten rock—General Morra the Lavarii.
"You trespass, and you demand help?" she spat.
Astraeus stood. "l'll earn it."
Morra smirked. "Then prove your flame is worthy."
—Trial by fire:
They dropped Astraeus into a volcano pit. Inside waited a beast of legend—The Fire Fang, a lava wolf the size of a house.
The fight was brutal. Astraeus had to use more than strength—he learned to twist the heat around him, sharpen his flame into weapons of willpower.
When he pierced the Fire Fang's heart, Morra descended, flames rising behind her.
"You don't just carry fire," she said, "You command it. The Lavarii will march with you."
—Windra's Whispers:
Windra wasn't reached through portals but by trusting the wind. Joga and Astraeus climbed to the top of a crystal tower in Crysansa. When Astraeus jumped, the wind caught him —not as air, but as force. He awoke in Windra, surrounded by clouds and floating islands.
The people of Windra—silent, graceful, and nearly translucent—studied him like a fallen feather.
Their leader, Eyla the Whirlmother, floated before him. "Speak your purpose."
—The Dance of Storms:
Windra's trial was not of brute force, but balance.
Astraeus was thrown into the Dance of Storms, a battle-ritual where one had to fight with rhythm. He faced off against warriors who moved like hurricanes—quick, quiet, precise.
Learning the flow of wind took time. When he finally let go of brute strength and moved with the wind, Astraeus defeated the Storm Warden in a blur of flame and breeze.
Eyla offered him a spiral shell. "When the time comes, blow it. We will come."
—Alliance Forged:
Back in Landara, Joga watched as Astraeus returned from his journey, scarred but
glowing with new power. He carried symbols of each realm—crystal threads, lava markings, and a wind shell tied around his neck.
"Three realms," Joga said. "You did it."
Astraeus looked out over the city. "Now we take the war to the ocean."
A new war is about to begin and a mysterious white light still not explained, but still will not be explained so look forward to the end of volume one. To be continued…
