Pondering this possibility, Miko suddenly felt it was quite likely.
Though honestly, she'd never really considered this possibility before—or rather, the thought had simply never crossed her mind.
Of course, that was nothing to be surprised about; after all, she herself was a fox.
If that were the case, might the others be some sort of animal too? Miko suddenly found the idea rather amusing.
"Mobius will be staying for now. The rest of you, get along with her." Just as Miko was thinking this, Kaito spoke up again.
"Fine, fine, fine." Wendy listlessly tossed out this reply to Kaito's words at once.
"Okay." Right after, Lumine nodded as well.
Since Kaito had made his decision, she'd simply go along with it.
"Welcome, little sister Mobius." Miko, for her part, offered her welcome with a smile spread across her face.
Mobius wouldn't mind anyway, so she was definitely going to take advantage where titles were concerned.
Though it would be even better if she could pull the same trick on Mei—only she figured that wouldn't really fly.
"Hello, everyone." Sweeping her gaze over those present, Mobius greeted them all with a smile.
"Fine, fine—hello there, little sister Mobius." At this, Wendy suddenly mimicked Miko and called Mobius "little sister" too.
Lumine: "..."
You're the one who looks like the little sister...
Unable to keep from thinking this to herself, Lumine noticed that Wendy seemed to harbor quite a grievance against Mobius.
She wondered just how Mobius had beaten Wendy earlier...
It didn't feel like a beating in the ordinary sense...
Could it be that Wendy had been toyed with by Mobius?
Turning it over and over in her mind, Lumine felt this was quite likely.
After all, no matter what, for Kaito's sake, Mobius surely wouldn't have actually given Wendy a real thrashing.
With the others she might hesitate to say so, but with Mobius she didn't think she would—because Mobius liked Kaito so very much.
"Hello, Wendy-onee-chan~"
To Lumine's surprise, Mobius not only didn't mind but even called Wendy "onee-chan," which astonished her greatly.
And it wasn't only her—Miko felt the same way.

She was truly curious about what Kaito had just said to her.
Upon hearing Mobius actually address Wendy as "onee-chan," Miko grew even more curious about what Kaito had just told Mobius.
But there was nothing to be done—Mobius was still right there beside them, so she couldn't very well ask the question. Oh, right...

Suddenly hitting on the idea that she could go and ask Mobius the question herself, Miko thought it was a pretty good approach.
After all, she and Mobius were acquainted of a sort, so there'd be no harm in asking.
"Little sister Mobius."
"How long are you all going to stand here calling each other 'big sister' and 'little sister'? That's enough already. For now, let me take Mobius to her room."
Looking somewhat exasperated, Kaito, having finished speaking, walked straight toward one of the rooms.
That room happened to be right next to Miko's—quite close, you could say.
Of course, the distance was about the same no matter which room it was; after all, this was, in the end, only a small courtyard.
"Then I'll go to my room now." Having said this, Mobius walked off, following behind Kaito.
"Why are they going into a room again?"
Watching the two of them, Wendy seemed somewhat displeased.
"This time you can follow them in." Seeing Wendy like this, Miko felt a bit like laughing.
For some reason, Wendy seemed to have been sulking with jealousy all day long.
And once she'd been given that nudge, Wendy really did follow after them, looking as though she truly meant to go into the room.
She actually went after them...
Miko hadn't expected Wendy to genuinely follow along, and she was a little surprised—she'd only said it offhandedly.
Should I follow along too...
Standing where she was, Miko suddenly felt like following to take a look as well. Then she glanced at Lumine and found her gazing at the very room Kaito and the others had entered.
"Stop staring—let's go over and have a look too."
Walking up to Lumine and patting her on the shoulder, Miko gestured for her to come along and take a look.
Wendy had already gone, after all, so it would be perfectly natural for them to go as well.
"Huh? Okay."
Dazed for a moment at first, Lumine quickly nodded in agreement.
Since Miko was going too, then she'd go and take a look along with her—there was nothing else to do anyway.
Knock, knock, knock—
The two had only just started walking when a knocking came from behind them at the door.
"Could it be Childe again?"
Hearing the sound, Miko turned back and said this with a puzzled air, then looked at Lumine and went on, "You go on ahead—I'll go see who's knocking."
With that, Miko headed toward the entrance.
Knock, knock, knock—
The knocking continued.
"Stop knocking, I'm coming." Miko, who had nearly reached the door, told the person outside to quit knocking, and then she pulled open the gate.
Ningguang?
The moment she saw who had come, Miko was a little taken aback.
Why is it her again...
Thinking this, Miko spoke up: "Are you here to see Kaito?"
In truth, she was certain the other party had come for Kaito; she was merely opening with a conversation starter—after all, it hadn't been long since Ningguang had last come looking for Kaito.
