Michelle, Arya, and Rodriguez sat on the bench silently. The wind blew a warm breeze across their faces, but it did little to wake them from the shock of what Alfa had said.
He knew! He knew all along, and if it wouldn't have been for Arya's quick thinking, Michelle would have been in a deep problem. Alfa would have thought why she hadn't informed him of all this!
"So... he knew!" Rodriguez was the first to break silence.
"Which means, if Marius returns back to Uncle Pete's house, he'll know they're no longer home," Arya added.
"We should have breakfast, then figure out what to do," Rodriguez said, knowing his people would be waiting for him, and his guests would feel odd that the host had disappeared.
During breakfast, Rodriguez remained calm and spoke about the pack with his family. Michelle also answered questions and asked important things about the family and Marcus, and Natalie.
