Kevin was shocked, he had expected to get the chance to be a beyonder soon, but not this soon.
"So all of you should choose if you want to become beyonders.. be careful as once you choose you can't go back... the madness that follows a beyonder isn't something to be taken easily, so choose carefully, and also choose your pathway too, just go ask Robert, he'll tell you all pathways The Chruch of The Fool has access to" Leah said.
Kevin then turned to face Arthur, the thoughts did not have to be said aloud or in his mind.
Kevin turned to face Leah with a small smile and spoke up "captain, can we talk... in your office?"
Leah looked at him for a moment, as if discerning his intentions and then nodded.
'I'll be back' Kevin said to his friends before entering the captain's office.
"So.. what did you want to talk about?" Leah asked him.
"I won't beat around the bush, tell the real truth as to why you are letting us become beyonders"
Leah laughed "hahaha.. what do you mean, the Holy Cathedral took you killing the sequence 8 lunatic as enough contribution fir a sequence 9 potion"
Kevin just smiled "you can fool the rest, but with the knowledge i possess as the earl's son i know for a fact that one sequence 8 beyonder isn't worth five sequence 9 potions"
Leah shrugged "Why would we need to fool you?"
Kevin smiled even brighter as he spoke "oh.., lets see.. hmm well considering that we were supposed to be dead due to the beyonder who attacked, and yet we are alive, then isn't there a chance that we could have been turned into members of their organization, which would mean we had a high chance of already being beyonders in which case consuming another potion would kill us instantly."
"Haha" Leah simply laughed as Kevin slowly moved towards the captain's chair "you have a very imaginative mind, people ever tell you that?, but that's good you need to be able to imagine the worst possible scenario as a beyonder to survive"
Kevin spun the chair around as he said "your right i do have a imaginative mind... however there is a more probable situation"
"Go in tell me, this is actually interesting." Leah laughed it off once more.
"the beyonder that tried to kill us will definitely come back, so you plan to use us as bait" with that he sat on the chair and leaned back.
"Seeing the damage done outside i can say that the beyonder is atleast mid sequence, if i had to guess, the civilian staff and beyonder rookies were killed by them."
Leah's expression darkened almost imperceptibly, Kevin took a cigarette pipe and lit it, "so you want us to become beyonders so we could be powerful enough to actually be able to hold off long enough for you to kill the mid sequence, right?" Kevin took a puff of the pipe and coughed "that's straight poison, you probably shouldn't keep smoking"

He banged his legs on the table and took another puff "on the other hand, i can see why you continue to smoke, but i still wouldn't advice continuing"
Leah's expression went through a series of complicated changes before she sighed and said "How did you know that they were killed by the beyonder?"
Kevin replied by jumping over the table and walking upto her, looking her dead in the eyes with a serious expression before saying "i didn't know, your expression told me enough though, ~bye"
