Chapter 10 - 10

Inside a hospital room in New York, Ron stood among a group of people, using his psychic power to sense Jessica Campbell, who was lying on the bed.

Ron had seen Jessica Campbell a few times before at school. Jessica had a thin build, a small face with delicate features, long dark hair, and eyes as black as obsidian. Compared to most Westerners, she appeared somewhat slender.

As Ron's psychic power grew stronger, he remembered more details about Jessica Jones.

Ron now knew that in the American comic world, Jessica had come into contact with or was associated with many characters.

First, Jessica woke up from her coma during the battle between the Fantastic Four and Galactus. After waking up, Jessica became a superhero, but then she encountered Zebediah Killgrave, the Purple Man, a major villain in American comics. She was controlled by the Purple Man and fought against many members of the Avengers.

Later, Jessica was rescued by the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. She regained her sanity with the help of Jean Grey, the Phoenix of the X-Men.

After being rescued, Jessica felt that the identity of a superhero was not suitable for her, so she opened a private detective agency and became a detective.

Then, for some unknown reason, Jessica teamed up with Daredevil Matt Murdock, Power Man Luke Cage, and Iron Fist Danny Rand to form the Defenders, once again protecting the peace of New York.

From these details, it seems that Jessica Jones is actually a relatively well-known character in the American comic world.

However, now, the slender Jessica remained in a coma, lying quietly on the hospital bed, unconscious.

Although Jessica appeared very peaceful on the surface, Ron's psychic power sensed that Jessica's heart was actually filled with fear and unease.

From these sensations, Ron saw some blurry images.

In the images, Jessica's father was driving, Jessica was arguing with her younger brother, and then came the scene of Jessica's family car being violently hit by a large military vehicle!

At the end of the images, only a dazzling blood-red light remained!

After seeing these images, Ron knew that after his psychic power was strengthened, he could now sense the memories and mental state deep within others' minds.

After sensing Jessica's fear and unease, Ron began to try to use his psychic power to help Jessica soothe these fears and anxieties, allowing her inner self to calm down.

Jessica is closely related to the American comic world, and she is also a classmate of his, as well as of Spider-Man Peter and Green Goblin Harry. So, after thinking about these things concerning Jessica, Ron still chose not to stand by and decided to help Jessica.

Ron used his psychic power to comb through Jessica's fearful memories like combing hair. After several minutes of combing, Ron finally felt that the fear and unease in Jessica's mind had become much calmer than before.

Feeling this, Ron quietly breathed a sigh of relief and no longer concerned himself with Jessica.

After Ron's intervention, Jessica only needed to rest for a period of time, and she should be able to wake up from her coma.

Finally, Ron left a positive, optimistic, and beautiful mental suggestion in Jessica's mind with his psychic power, as well as the information that he had cured Jessica, and then left the hospital.

After his intervention and suggestion, Jessica should not be immersed in the grief of her loved ones' deaths and should also be able to escape the tragic fate of being controlled by the Purple Man later!

...Two days later, in a house on a street in Queens, Peter Parker put his newly handmade 'Spider-suit' into a bag, preparing to head to the New York Wrestling League.

Peter had recently seen a report in the newspaper from the New York Wrestling League, stating that anyone who could last three minutes in the wrestling ring would receive a reward of three thousand dollars!

Thinking of his increasingly powerful body and his ability to climb walls and shoot webs, Peter was very confident.

The day before yesterday at noon, Peter had severely taught Thompson, who had been bullying him, a lesson at Midtown High School, initially revealing his powerful physical fitness.

That evening, Peter also struck up a conversation with Mary Jane, his long-time crush, and they chatted very happily.

But then, Thompson drove a sports car to Mary Jane's house, Peter's neighbor, and picked up Mary Jane.

Peter was unwilling. He had just been talking happily with Mary Jane, so how could Mary Jane be picked up by Thompson in a sports car so suddenly?

Peter also wanted to own a sports car to take his goddess Mary Jane for a drive, but buying a sports car required money. Uncle Ben and Aunt May had already spent a lot of financial and mental effort raising him, and Peter didn't want to ask Uncle Ben and Aunt May for money.

So Peter had decided that he would participate in the three-thousand-dollar wrestling match, win the three thousand dollars, and buy a used sports car he had seen in the newspaper.

"Hey, Uncle Ben, Aunt May, I'm going to the library and will be back later."

After putting on his self-made 'Spider-suit,' Peter went downstairs and told Uncle Ben, who was repairing an appliance, and Aunt May, who was knitting, that he was leaving, and then wanted to go out directly.

"Wait, I'll drive you."

Uncle Ben heard Peter wanted to go out and quickly stood up from his chair, preparing to drive Peter to the library.

Uncle Ben already knew about Peter fighting Thompson at school the day before yesterday. He felt that Peter had become increasingly rebellious recently, so he wanted to have a good talk with Peter and guide him onto the right path.

Peter heard Uncle Ben's words, his heart anxious, and he quickly refused, saying, "No need, Uncle Ben, I'll just take the subway."

"I just happen to need some fresh air. Come on, let's go." Uncle Ben didn't give Peter a chance to refuse. He took off his jacket and put it on, then directly pulled Peter towards his old car.

Seeing Uncle Ben so insistent, Peter had no choice but to get into Uncle Ben's car.

The car drove all the way to the outside of the library Peter had mentioned.

"Thanks, Uncle Ben, I'm leaving."

Peter's mind was filled with thoughts of the three thousand dollars; he just wanted to quickly go to the New York Wrestling League and win the three thousand dollars.

"Wait, we need to talk, Peter."

Seeing Peter about to leave, Uncle Ben quickly stopped him and said.

"Peter, we haven't had a heart-to-heart talk in a long time. Aunt May and I are a bit confused about you now. You refuse to do chores, you're always doing strange experiments in your room, and you even got into a fight at school!"

"I told you, it wasn't because of me." Hearing Uncle Ben actually mention his fight with Thompson at school, Peter excitedly explained.

Hearing that Peter didn't want to listen to him at all, Uncle Ben's expression became serious. He stared into Peter's eyes, wanting to change the Peter who had become rebellious.

"Listen, Peter, I know you're changing, you want to show yourself, and I was the same at your age. But Peter, you need to know that you're starting to grow up, and your changes in these next few years will determine the rest of your life. Don't go astray."

"The person you fought might have been wrong and deserved it, but hitting him doesn't mean you're right, or that you had the right to hit him. Look at your good friend Ron; he wouldn't do that."

At this point, Uncle Ben smiled slightly, then said more seriously, "Peter, remember: With great power comes great responsibility!"

However, although Uncle Ben's lecture was very reasonable and profound, Peter still felt that Uncle Ben's lecture was too harsh on him.

He had clearly just done what he should have done, resisted the person who bullied him, so how did he become the bad guy in Uncle Ben's eyes?

"Uncle Ben, I'm grown up now. I know all these things myself. Don't lecture me anymore."

Peter impatiently retorted to Uncle Ben, then directly got out of the car and headed to where he wanted to go.

Seeing that Peter still didn't want to listen to him at all, Uncle Ben was at a loss, shaking his head helplessly.

"You go ahead. I'll pick you up at ten o'clock."

After speaking, Uncle Ben prepared to start the car and leave... At this moment, around a street corner about a dozen meters from Peter and Uncle Ben, Ron also shook his head like Uncle Ben, then he walked to the back of Uncle Ben's car and knocked on the car window!
