Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Almost everyone clapped and welcomed Chen Fan, making him blush deeply. He had never seen such a sight before; the largest crowd he had ever encountered were those trying to take his life. This contrast was astonishing.

Feeling the vibrant atmosphere, Chen Fan was truly glad that he had transmigrated to Fairy Tail, and he felt that joining Fairy Tail was the right choice. A sincere smile finally adorned his face.

After a moment, Makarov raised his hand to signal for quiet, and immediately the still-noisy Guild fell silent. "It seems Makarov still has a lot of prestige," Chen Fan couldn't help but think, admiring the Master's authority.

Seeing the hall had quieted down, Makarov continued, "Now, Chen Fan will introduce himself. Everyone, applause!"

After speaking, he began clapping again, and the atmosphere became lively once more, with everyone in the hall joining in the applause.

Taking a step forward, "Ahem," Chen Fan cleared his throat, he said, "Hello everyone, my name is Chen Fan. I'm really happy to be able to join the big family of Fairy Tail. Thank you, everyone!" After speaking, he took a step back.

"So what kind of magic do you use?" a voice suddenly asked, full of unstoppable enthusiasm. Chen Fan immediately knew it was Natsu. "This guy is really a battle maniac. He wants to fight, but I won't let him get what he wants," Chen Fan thought to himself, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Looking around, almost everyone looked at Chen Fan with curious eyes, even Makarov, the Master, pricked up his ears, wanting to know what kind of magic Chen Fan possessed. When Makarov first brought Chen Fan back, he just didn't want to see a homeless child, but after Chen Fan displayed that skill just now, Makarov knew he had found a treasure. However, with Makarov's many years of experience, he truly didn't know what kind of magic Chen Fan used, because when Chen Fan used his Superpower to heal his wounds just now, there were no magical fluctuations emitted.

So he also wanted to hear what kind of magic Chen Fan actually used.

"Nothing extraordinary, really," Chen Fan said, waving his hand casually. "According to magic classification, mine should be a type of healing magic."

"What kind of healing magic?" Makarov asked, as if he could know everything, his eyes slightly narrowed.

"It's the kind that can make wounds heal quickly without leaving scars," Chen Fan explained with a faint smile. "As long as there's still breath left, it can pretty much save someone."

HISS… A collective gasp filled the air. What Chen Fan said seemed ordinary, but those who truly understood the situation knew that Chen Fan's magic was meant to save lives in critical moments, like Orihime Inoue's medical abilities or even a Forbidden Contractor's power to twist fate.

Sensing the strange atmosphere, Chen Fan's eyes darted around. He placed one foot on a chair and the other on a table, looking at all the Guild members, and continued in a teasing tone:

"Are you still bothered by your 'full' chests?" he asked, glancing at some female members with a suggestive smile. "Are you still bothered by your 'ungraceful' figures? Are you still worried about your appearance?"

"YES…!" Many responded enthusiastically, and the Guild, which had been silent for a moment ago, came alive again with a clamor, excited voices filling the air.

He paused for a moment, then glanced at the men and women in the Guild whose eyes were shining, and said, "Now you don't have to worry about these things anymore. I can fix all these symptoms for you, and I guarantee no side effects, affordable prices, and everything's negotiable!"

"HAHAHA!" Everyone was amused by Chen Fan's words, and the atmosphere became incredibly lively, full of laughter and cheers. Some people also gave Chen Fan looks that implied a private chat later, and Chen Fan returned a knowing glance and winked, looking very… lewd.

Watching Chen Fan and the others exchange glances, Natsu, who would later be known as the Fire Dragon, felt a chill run down his spine, making him shiver. He suspected Chen Fan had some strange and terrible hobbies, and immediately put some distance between them.

As soon as Chen Fan finished introducing himself, the Guild members returned to their own activities. After all, even though Chen Fan had joined the Guild, he wasn't yet familiar with everyone, and everyone in the Guild had their own things to do. Some people who heard Chen Fan's words felt itching in their hearts but were too shy to say anything directly in front of everyone. So they kept glancing at others, but all were secretly observing Chen Fan, wondering when they could find an opportunity to discuss it.

Sitting quietly beside Makarov, Chen Fan felt an indescribable sense of peace despite the lively Guild. "Maybe this is what 'home' feels like," Chen Fan said to himself.

He scanned the hall back and forth but couldn't find Erza anywhere. "Did she go on a mission?" He thought. "But how old is Erza now? Could this old man be abusing child labor?" His eyes gleamed with contempt, a mischievous thought crossing his mind. This caused Makarov, who was still overseeing the lively Guild, to shiver, as if a cold wind had suddenly blown. He looked left and right, but Chen Fan had already turned his gaze forward, whistling casually.

Suddenly, Chen Fan saw Natsu and Gray walking towards him, along with Mirajane's siblings. Chen Fan was somewhat confused. "What do these kids want from me? Have they started caring about beauty at such a young age? Kids in this world really are precocious!" Chen Fan sighed inwardly, a little surprised.

Natsu walked right in front of Chen Fan, pointing to his own chest with his right hand, and said to Chen Fan with burning enthusiasm, "My name is Natsu Dragneel, and I use Dragon Slayer Magic!" A wide smile adorned his face.

Then he pointed to Gray and said, "This gloomy-eyed guy—" Before he could finish his sentence, Gray cut him off with a hand, his face already red.

Staring fiercely into Natsu's eyes, Gray said, "What did you say, you inverse-eyed guy, huh?!..."

"WHAT?! Wanna fight, huh?! You pervert!" Natsu retorted, small flames beginning to flicker in his fists.

"WHAT?! You dare call me a pervert?!" Saying that, Gray reached out and grabbed Natsu's clothes, looking ready to fight again.

"You two, calm down!"

CRACK! CRACK!

With two surprising loud sounds, Natsu and Gray were thrown to the ground. They staggered, and then looked up with fear in their eyes. Seeing that it was Mirajane who had knocked Natsu and Gray to the ground, Chen Fan then remembered that Mirajane was very ruthless when she was little, not inferior to Erza at all. She reminded him of a much sweeter but still deadly version of Esdeath from Akame ga Kill!

Then Mirajane said indifferently, her voice calm yet full of authority, "My name is Mirajane. These two are my brother, Elfman, and my younger sister, Lisanna. As for that pervert, his name is Gray Fullbuster. Welcome to Fairy Tail." However, her indifferent tone made Chen Fan feel no warm welcome at all, but rather a kind of warning.

Strangely, Gray didn't jump up to protest when he heard Mirajane call him a pervert. He must have been afraid of Mirajane. That fear was evident on his face.

"Thank you. I'm new here and not used to everything yet. Please be patient if I make any mistakes," Chen Fan said politely.

At this moment, Natsu and Gray also jumped to their feet, as if the recent incident had never happened, and vowed to Chen Fan, "Don't worry, if anyone bullies you in the future, just tell us, and we'll beat them up for you!" Their eyes sparkled with the characteristic Fairy Tail spirit of friendship.

Elfman also stood beside them, clenching his fist to his chest and saying enthusiastically, "A man must help the weak!"

Chen Fan felt a little dizzy. "Do I really look weak?" He then said to Natsu and the others, "Do I look weak?"

Their response was a unanimous nod. Mirajane's eyes clearly said, "Yes, you're weak, kid." He turned to the youngest, Lisanna, but saw that even the young Lisanna nodded.

It seemed that as soon as he arrived at the Guild, he was knocked out by the aftershock of a battle, leaving an impression on everyone in the Guild that he was very weak.

Chen Fan just thought, "Whatever." Anyway, there would always be a chance to show his strength in the future. His current ability level was still low, so it wasn't suitable for trailblazing. Moreover, countless previous 'dimensional travelers' had said, "Keeping a low profile is king." So he didn't bother to explain.

Thus, Chen Fan settled in Fairy Tail.
