Author's Note
This story begins with a mystery hidden in an old classroom. The "Book of Section C" is not just a book—it's a window into secrets of the past, names forgotten, and faces that should not be there. This is a part of the main story, but here I'm sharing the hidden tale of Section C.The mysterious book of Section C begins from 1960 and records every class and every boy till 2024. But the year 2025 is still continuing… and that's where the story becomes strange.
Ryu was searching through the old almirah at the back of her classroom when her fingers brushed against something thick and dusty. She pulled it out slowly—a large, leather-bound book covered in cobwebs. Its cover had faint golden letters that read:
"The Book of Section C."
Curiosity sparked inside her. She knew Section C was her class, but why would there be a special book about it? She carefully opened the first page.
Inside, there were group photos of Section C from every year, starting as far back as 1960. Ryu noticed that every single class photo had only boys—page after page filled with unfamiliar faces, old uniforms, and forgotten names neatly listed below each photograph.
But when she turned to the page for 2025, her heart skipped a beat.
There was her own photo.
She was standing in the middle of the group, surrounded by all the boys of her class. Ryu froze. She had never taken such a picture. It didn't exist. Yet here it was, staring back at her from the yellowed page.
Her hands trembled as she turned the next page. The photo before hers was from the same year—2025—but instead of her, it showed Ivy standing with Rey, Ravi, and the others.
Ryu frowned. Ivy was a name she had heard in whispers. She had known that Ivy was once in Section C, but nobody ever told her why she left—or what had happened. Seeing Ivy in the book, in the same year, made her head spin.
Why were there two photos for 2025?Why was she in one… and Ivy in another? And why did the book even exist in the first place?
She closed the book quickly, her mind heavy with questions. The room felt colder than before. Maybe some secrets were never meant to be found.
From that day on, Ryu made a quiet decision. She would read this book every single day, but only at a time when no one could see her.
