Chapter 14 - the meets

Someone was riding on horseback, dressed in Victorian clothing. It was Konsoon.

Viktor was riding a horse behind him, and Remji was riding another horse as well. The three of them were traveling somewhere together.

As they continued on their way, Konsoon suddenly stopped.

Someone was standing directly in front of him, some distance away, with an army gathered behind them.

Konsoon looked at them and said,

"Interesting."

The Turban: A towering headpiece of pristine white silk, wound flawlessly around a deep crimson velvet cap. A falcon-egg-sized emerald clutched a tuft of midnight-black heron feathers at the front. A thin, hidden cap of hardened steel was concealed beneath the silk.

The Kaftan: A heavy, floor-sweeping robe woven from midnight-blue Bursa silk and gold brocade. It featured silver-stitched çintamani power symbols and was lined internally with black sable fur.

The Under-Armor: A hidden, lightweight plated mail shirt made of thousands of interlocking steel rings. It featured four polished steel chest plates inlaid with gold calligraphy of protective Quranic verses.

The Sash: A thick, tightly wrapped belt of crimson silk cinched his waist.

The Boots: Thigh-high boots of supple black leather, dyed and oiled for silent movement on marble or for a firm grip in war stirrups.

He had multiple guards with him, while Konsoon smiled and said,

"Assalamu alaikum."

The leader replied,

"Wa alaikum assalam, Konsoon."

Konsoon looked at him carefully.

"I see. If I'm not mistaken, you are… Bayezid II? Sultan Bayezid? Your real name is Bayezid bin Mehmed, the great- great grandson of Sultan Mehmed II? It's great to see you here."

Behind Bayezid, his army sat on horseback.

Bayezid looked at Konsoon and said,

"Tell me, what exactly brings you here? And why do you want to pass through this place?"

Konsoon calmly replied,

"I'm here to take care of some work."

Suddenly, one of the guards charged toward Konsoon's horse.

Konsoon was on his horse without reacting to anything, and then the guard got cut into two pieces. The guard said, "Ahhhh!" And then Konsoon said, 'Pathetic. To think that would even touch me.'"

Bayezid II was shocked for a moment, and so were the other guards.

Konsoon remained completely calm.

"I'm not here to fight you. We are both here in peace, aren't we? Don't you agree?"

Suddenly, Konsoon's eyes turned red.

Bayezid II stared at him.

"Those eyes… red eyes? Could it be? Are you one of the last surviving vampires? I might say… Konsoon Sanguis?"

Konsoon smiled.

"So, you know me?"

Bayezid took a breath and said,

"Of course. Your name is very well known to me, Sanguis. At the age of sixteen, you conquered multiple kingdoms. How could I possibly forget you? You are blood-related to Dracula himself."

Konsoon smiled.

"Well, our great-great ancestors had quite the rivalry, didn't they?"

Bayezid nodded.

"I agree with you, at least in that regard."

He then moved his horse to the side and gave an order.

"Let them pass."

The guards moved aside.

Another guard was about to attack, but Bayezid immediately raised his hand.

"Stop."

Konsoon and his servants continued riding past them.

After they had gone some distance, one of the servants looked at Bayezid in confusion.

"My lord, why did you let them go so easily?"

Bayezid looked at him.

"I already told you his name. You didn't even know who he was. You're new here."

He looked toward the direction Konsoon had gone.

"I suppose you don't understand yet. He is someone whom you cannot defeat. Even though there were only three of them, they would be enough to take down our entire army at once."

Meanwhile, Konsoon continued riding forward with his servants.

Konsoon suddenly said,

"The things are near. I can see them."

The same strange thing was floating in the air.

Then, out of nowhere, several guards came rushing toward Konsoon and attacked him.

Konsoon simply looked at them.

His eyes turned red.

The guards looked directly into his eyes.

Suddenly—

BOOM!

One of the guard's heads exploded.

Blood splattered across the ground as his body collapsed from the horse.

Viktor moved in an instant.

He rushed toward another guard and attacked him with incredible speed.

The guard didn't even have time to react.

At the same moment, Remji moved just as quickly.

He attacked another guard, cutting his hand cleanly into two pieces.

"AHHHHH!"

The guard screamed as blood poured from the wound, flowing across the ground like a river.

"Monster!"

Konsoon watched calmly.

Then he smiled.

"Well then..."

The scene shifted.

Konsoon continued walking forward, with Remji beside him.

After walking for some time, Konsoon stopped in front of a massive structure that looked almost like a house. He placed his hand against its surface.

Konsoon looked at it carefully.

"So, this is where Dracula's tomb was hidden."

He smiled slightly.

"This might be interesting. I haven't been here before."

Konsoon then looked toward Viktor.

"Viktor, watch for anyone who comes here."

He paused for a moment.

"And I'll handle what I'm going to do with this."

Suddenly—

Konsoon disappeared.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely different place.

Konsoon looked around.

"?"

He remained calm.

"Where am I?"

A massive armored man stood nearby.

His name was Hercules.

Konsoon looked at him carefully.

"So... this is your domain?"

He smiled.

"Interesting."

Then Konsoon noticed someone else.

A little girl with blonde hair was sitting on Hercules' shoulder.

She looked directly at him.

"We were ordered to kill you here, Konsoon Sanguis."

She paused.

"So, in short..."

Her expression became serious.

"We're going to kill you."

Konsoon stared at them for a moment.

Then he smiled.

"I see."

He looked around the unfamiliar domain.

"How fascinating, isn't it?"

Konsoon looked around the domain.

"Your dimension looks very good, enough to impress me. However, I might still escape from it."

Hercules looked at him.

"You cannot escape my domain."

Konsoon smiled.

"Is that so? That looks very promising, doesn't it?"

The little girl sitting on Hercules' shoulder smiled.

"My name is Lilile. Shall we begin our fight, Lord Konsoon?"

Konsoon looked at her.

"Sure. But I guess it won't take long to take you down, I might say."

Lilile smiled.

"That egoistic personality you have..."

The scene shifted.

Viktor was standing in another part of the domain.

He looked around and realized that he was trapped somehow.

Viktor looked shocked.

"Isn't it?"

Suddenly, a man appeared in front of him.

He wore a half-face mask that covered his mouth.

The man looked directly at Viktor.

"Tell me... what can you do here?"

The scene shifted again.

Remji was sitting in another strange place.

The surroundings were filled with blue and orange light.

A beautiful woman stood in front of him, looking directly at him.

She smiled.

"Tell me, dear..."

She tilted her head slightly.

"Does your magic even work here?"

The scene shifted back to Konsoon.

Konsoon raised his hand toward Hercules and opened his palm.

He slowly closed his fingers.

Hercules suddenly felt something strange.

"What?"

Konsoon looked at him calmly.

"I see. I can rupture your heart or tear your body apart from the inside by manipulating your blood."

Hercules smiled.

"Well, that's obvious. I am the strongest one here, you vampire. Your blood manipulation doesn't have that much effect here."

Konsoon looked at him.

"I see."

He paused for a moment.

"In fact, no martial arts might be of much help here either."

Konsoon raised his hand.

A sword began to appear in his grasp.

"Diabolic Sword."

His expression remained calm.

"I order you to summon here."

The Diabolic Sword appeared completely in his hand.

Hercules looked at him.

"Well then..."

He stepped forward.

"Be ready to die here."

Konsoon stood still.

Hercules charged toward him.

As Hercules approached, Konsoon simply smiled.

The scene shifted.

The scene shifted to Tai Yang.

He was walking forward when he noticed Cardo following behind him.

Tai Yang looked back.

"Hey, can I ask you something? Why are you coming with me?"

Cardo looked at him.

"You already know."

Tai Yang nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, I do know. You're worried that I could be captured by Kaizen."

He continued walking.

"But hey, it's not like I'm going to be captured right now. I don't really feel like it's going to happen."

Cardo remained expressionless.

"He still knows where we could be. So there might always be a risk, as you know."

He continued looking at Tai Yang.

"We'll go away eventually. However, on this mission, it is still necessary that I accompany you."

Tai Yang looked at him for a moment.

Wow. He looks really cold.

Even though I want to make the moment funny, this guy never lets me make anything funny.

Tai Yang sighed and continued walking.

Tai Yang looked ahead.

"So, this is the village, huh?"

The scene shifted back to Konsoon.

Konsoon swung his sword toward Hercules.

"You have pretty good sword skills, I might say. However, it might not be enough to reach my level."

Lilile used her magic, summoning flame-like dwellings around Konsoon.

The flames suddenly pulled Konsoon backward.

But when the attack ended, Konsoon hadn't even been damaged.

He looked at both of them calmly.

He smiled.

"Is that the best you can do?"

Konsoon said, "My physical abilities are useless here too. But again, I have multiple attacks that can counter this domain of yours."

Hercules said, "You cannot escape, Konsoon Sanguis. This domain is specially powerful. It can affect anybody. However, you are not getting affected, which I might say means you are pretty good at this, aren't you? Any other man would get crushed here."

Konsoon said, "You know this won't be enough to kill me. However, I might say you could cause me a little trouble here. But eventually, I will be the one who wins. Even if you both try your best, it doesn't really matter at all."

Konsoon raised his sword, and blood came toward Hercules like water.

Hercules dodged it.

Then Lilile attacked Konsoon with fire.

Konsoon raised his hand and caught the attack with his hand.

Lilile looked at him.

"He has physical abilities and blood manipulation. Now I see why he is also the leader of the Holy Earth, and why he is called the Leader of the Abyss."

The scene shifted to Viktor.

Viktor looked at the masked man and swung his sword.

The masked man said, "If I'm not wrong, you are that human I last saw. Viktor…? However, I don't know what your name is. But you have been called Viktor Sanguis in recent years. You might say you remember me. My name is Zugo Awarshama."

He continued, "You are in my domain. To start with, you cannot escape. You and your lord are going to be killed here."

Viktor looked at him.

"I see.

Viktor has no facial expression at all.

Zugo attacked Viktor.

Viktor's expression became serious as he dodged the attack.

The scene shifted to Remji.

Remji was fighting the woman. She attacked him with her flowers. She didn't move at all, but the flowers moved on their own. The flowers were half mixed with red.

She said, "It's useless. You can't escape from here."

The flowers suddenly moved at high speed toward Remji's right face. He wasn't seriously injured, but a small cut appeared on his face.

She looked at him.

"I guess I was able to injure you a little."

She then said, "My name is Chloris."

The scene shifted back to Konsoon.

Konsoon was floating in the air and attacked both Hercules and Lilile.

Lilile was half injured.

Hercules said, "You're not getting crushed here, and you're using your ability like it's nothing. It's really hard to believe."

Konsoon said, "My blood manipulation isn't limited by your domain. Your domain is powerful, but what it does is ignore your special domain attacks. It completely ignores the space where I'm standing and the dimensions around me. I can surpass through them."

Lilile said, "I see… So that's how it works? He completely ignores it."

Lilile looked at Konsoon.

"No attack has damaged him, but compared to us, we've already been hit by him a little."

She thought for a moment.

"Can he see through the atomic level? Because he's reacting so fast."

Konsoon suddenly moved extremely fast.

Konsoon said, "You're right, though. But things are different. Having atomic perception means I can sense everything that is under my influence here.

"I can sense things within my influence. I can sense the flow of blood through every cell in both of your bodies.

"That's how my ability works. I don't only see things at the atomic level. I can sense them too, at the same time."

Lilile said, "Are you able to read my mind?"

Konsoon suddenly teleported.

"Yeah, I can."

He launched another attack at her, and Lilile was damaged by it.

Konsoon said, "And one reminder: my Diabolic Sword is a highly specialized sword. It doesn't only affect the body; it also affects the soul inside of you, so-called goddess Lilile."

Hercules shouted, "No! Sister Lilile!"

Konsoon looked at both of them.

"I guess you both are done here."

Hercules said, "Now, this is enough to destroy you here."

The sky began to shatter.

Lightning struck as the surroundings started to change.

Konsoon looked up.

"Interesting."

The scene shifted to Remji.

Remji was fighting Chloris with his sword. He made his sword longer, causing Chloris to move back for a moment.

Remji then attacked her.

Blood floated through the air as Chloris was injured.

Remji remained expressionless as always.

The scene shifted again to Viktor, who was fighting Zugo.

Viktor swung his sword extremely fast.

Zugo said, "You are very strong. I'll give you that. But with my mana…"

Zugo's mana began floating around him.

"…I will take everything from you."

Viktor was already half injured, but he continued holding his sword.

Viktor became serious and contacted Konsoon through his mind.

"My lord, I have seen many gods. I have fought many of them. But this one is very different. I want you to unseal my power so I can make this god kneel before Viktor."

Viktor suddenly found himself standing in a black void.

Konsoon looked at him with a serious expression.

"You want me to unseal your power?"

Viktor knelt.

"Yes, my lord."

Konsoon looked at him.

"Well then, use it."

Viktor raised his Bazuka Sword.

Zugo looked at him.

"What?"

The blade of Viktor's sword became black.

Viktor's blond hair began shining even more as it floated in the air.

Viktor looked at Zugo.

"Allow me to demonstrate what I can do."

Zugo stared at him.

"...Huh?"

Viktor's hair continued floating.

"Let me demonstrate what I can do."

Viktor swung his sword, cutting through the ground in half.

Zugo quickly dodged the attack.

"Damn it! Does it destroy physical objects?"

The ground that had been cut was turned into ashes.

Viktor moved extremely fast and attacked Zugo again.

Zugo dodged the attack, but he was still half cut by it.

Viktor looked at him.

"You can't escape its influence."

Zugo moved extremely fast.

"Take this! Hahhh!"

The scene shifted to Remji.

Remji was still fighting Chloris. His blade became extremely long as he attacked her.

He then summoned many more blades.

"I order you—summon blades!"

Many blades appeared around them.

The scene shifted to Tai Yang.

Tai was sitting inside a house in the village, looking bored.

"Come on… Where is the hard mission they were talking about?"

He looked around.

"Huh? I don't see anything here."

Tai Yang looked at Cardo.

"Don't joke around with me."

Cardo looked ahead.

"This is going to take a very long time."

Just then, someone approached them.

Her name was Jeil. She was a fat woman wearing brown clothes.

She looked at them and asked,

"Oh, are you the ones who were assigned here?"

Tai Yang replied,

"Technically, yeah."

Before Tai could say anything else, Cardo interrupted him.

"Yeah. We're here to help, too."

Tai looked at Cardo.

"Hey, you can't do that!"

Jeil smiled.

"Oh, it would be very helpful to have both of you here. I want you to find my lost son."

Tai and Cardo became more serious.

"He was kidnapped by some evil organization," Jeil explained.

Cardo nodded.

"I see. Can I have anything they left behind?"

Jeil nodded.

"Wait. I have something."

She went inside and came back with a sword. She handed it to Cardo.

Cardo looked at it.

"I see… What was this?"

Jeil looked at the sword.

"It belonged to my husband. He wanted to save our son, but because of that, he lost his life."

Flashback

Jeil's husband stood in front of their son, protecting him.

"Hey! Stay back from here!"

A man holding a sword approached them.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to do anything to you. I just want something from this village."

Suddenly, the swordsman stabbed Jeil's husband.

Blood began flowing as he collapsed.

"No!"

Jeil screamed as she watched her husband die.

Flashback Ends

Jeil looked at Tai and Cardo.

"I want you to find them."

Tai Yang looked ahead.

"Looks very intense right now."

Then Tai said recklessly,

"But it might be very cool."

The scene shifted to someone who was on a tree, listening to them.

Tai Yang looked at the bird.

"We should go, I guess."

Cardo didn't even reply.

Tai looked at him.

"Hey, you should say something. You're always so serious, guy. This is the moment where we're supposed to be funny for a second."

The scene shifted to Konsoon.

Konsoon was fighting Hercules.

Hercules rushed toward Konsoon at incredible speed.

Lilile assisted him.

Suddenly, thunder from the sky rushed toward Konsoon at incredible speed.

Konsoon swung his sword and cut through the thunder.
