Chapter 56 - 56: Getting The Goro Goro no Mi.

In the cold silence of the moon's wasteland, it had all ended in a flash.

"You killed them like that?"

Kaelen moved too fast. By the time he returned to his senses, Robin was already looking at him speechlessly.

She still had questions for the strange creatures they encountered, but now, they were nothing more than ashes.

"If I didn't kill them, were you planning to catch one and keep it for New Year's dinner?"

Rolling his eyes, Kaelen replied in irritation, "These guys talk a big game, but they're full of it. They're cowards through and through, never telling the truth, not even afraid of death."

In a real fight, they'd say anything. Kaelen hadn't planned on killing them all at first. But they were rigged with self-detonation devices anyway.

Robin changed the subject, asking, "So what now? Do we keep looking for other signs of life?"

Female curiosity was endless, and Robin's had clearly been sparked by this mysterious alien race.

Kaelen was about to say "of course," but suddenly stopped, looked into the distance, and changed his tone.

"No need. Someone's already on their way to us."

Before he even finished speaking, Robin spotted a blue flash of lightning shooting toward them like teleportation.

"That's Enel!?"

She immediately recognized the figure and let out a breath.

She remembered Enel's power all too well. Among the enemies she'd seen, only the likes of Aokiji and Kaelen himself had surpassed him. Not even Blackbeard or Doflamingo had left such an impression.

She still remembered Enel's final attack back then—it was nothing short of apocalyptic.

Bzzzzzzt!

A bolt of blue lightning landed not far from Kaelen, and a tall, shirtless figure appeared.

With blank, dead-fish eyes, golden scepter in hand, and large drums strapped to his back, Enel stood proudly—like a god.

He had arrived, the self-proclaimed deity of the moon, wielding the powers of the Goro Goro no Mi.

That he had come here himself was unexpected.

"Blue Sea people, and… you, woman. I think I've seen you before."

Enel glanced at Kaelen first, then at Robin.

During his clash with Luffy on Skypiea, he hadn't paid much attention to Robin, so he couldn't place her right away. Not that he cared enough to try.

"This land belongs to me, the great god. I'll make an offer—submit, and I'll let you become my priests."

"..."

He was still full of himself, calling himself a god. Same arrogant tone, same smug expression.

Robin and Kaelen exchanged a look.

It was hopeless—Enel hadn't changed a bit. He was still delusional, still living in a fantasy world.

Apparently, Luffy hadn't hit him hard enough last time.

"He's fast," Kaelen thought. "If he tries to escape, I may not be able to catch him. The best chance is to kill him before he even reacts."

Kaelen's eyes narrowed. A small smile tugged at his lips as he formed a plan.

The next second, Conqueror's Haki erupted from him.

It was tightly compressed into a range of only tens of meters, but it slammed into Enel with overwhelming force.

BOOM!

The very air trembled. Within the affected range, space distorted, and time itself seemed to freeze.

Enel was caught completely off guard. The force of Kaelen's Haki stunned him instantly.

He has no knowledge of Conqueror's Haki—he'd never even experienced it. Before this moment, Enel had always dominated by sheer devil fruit power.

And in that frozen instant, it was over.

Kaelen appeared in front of him like a blur. His right hand shimmered with Armament Haki, while arcs of lightning danced around it.

Seeing this, Enel smirked and instantly turned to lightning—his Logia defense activating on reflex.

But then—his smirk vanished.

His expression froze, his eyes bulged.

"Dark Water!"

Kaelen's left hand, black and pulsing with suction, had already locked onto Enel's body. He couldn't escape. His Logia body had been forcefully neutralized.

Kaelen's right fist lit with a flash of white light.

"Quake Fist: Fiftyfold Gravity."

CRACK!

The punch landed cleanly on Enel's head. A dull thud echoed, but the real damage was inside.

Waves of seismic force rippled into his skull, detonating again and again—fifty times in a blink.

Outwardly, Enel looked fine.

Internally, he was obliterated.

No blood. No scream. Just the fading light in his eyes.

Before he could even speak a last word, his consciousness faded into darkness.

From the moment Enel appeared to the moment Kaelen killed him, it had taken no more than ten seconds.

A man once powerful enough to challenge top Yonko commanders was erased—quietly and instantly.

In battle between monsters, victory often came down to one breath.

Enel's awareness and combat experience simply couldn't compare to Kaelen's. Combined with Kaelen's full strength and perfect timing, Enel never stood a chance.

To his final breath, he never figured out how Kaelen had managed to grab him.

[System Notice: Congratulations! You have acquired the Goro Goro no Mi (Thunder Fruit) from Enel.]

Kaelen's lips curled into a satisfied smile.

The Thunder Fruit, hailed as the strongest of all Logia.

Among all the powers Kaelen had absorbed so far, this one was in a class of its own. Speed, offense—it was unmatched.

The trip to the Infinite Earth had ended in perfection.

Robin stared in stunned silence. Everything had happened so fast. In the blink of an eye, the fight was over.

Her mouth hung open slightly. She looked dazed—but also kind of cute.

Kaelen gently took her hand.

"Come on. Let's go explore the moon."

"Oh… okay!"
