Ordinary Group Leader: "Originally it was just a plot point, but unexpectedly someone gave his father the Frostmaiden and got beaten up for it."
Ordinary Group Leader: "Because this story became so widespread, we gradually gave the Frostmaiden the nickname 'Filial Son Sword.'"
Ordinary Group Leader: "I won't even mention the Signal Axe and Father-Damning Sword — I'll send the memory copy once the relevant people join the group."
Utaha: "Starting a story and not finishing it!"
Utaha: "In my place, that's how you get knives mailed to you."
Kasumigaoka Utaha had been listening with great interest — and then she saw Su Yunqing's final message.
She'd had her curiosity piqued, and then no payoff!
What's the difference between this and a dog author leaving cliffhangers and going on hiatus?!
Loki: "I don't know what you're talking about!"
Loki: "Even though I pawned Odin and took the Supreme Throne of Asgard, and in the future I'm going to kill Laufey, King of the Frost Giants — I, Loki, am everyone knows a devoted son!"
Loki: "Serious face.jpg"
Loki didn't mind Su Yunqing and the others' jokes — he even joined in voluntarily.
And that Arthas character wasn't so different from him, was he? Only Arthas used the Frostmaiden; he was planning to use Gungnir.
The Filial Son Spear? Hardly.
He wasn't even stabbing Odin.
Richest Man: "Too filial!"
Richest Man: "Good thing this group has Shendu guarding it, or I'd be scared it would turn into the Filial Son Group."
Shendu: "???"
What the hell are you on about?!
He was betrayed by his own son, beat his son, and ended up destroying each other in the process.
Was that "filial piety and fatherly love"?! And besides, he was doing better than Whitebeard over there.
His most treasured son Teach had betrayed him, schemed against him, stolen the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit, and ultimately annihilated the Whitebeard Pirates.
HE should be the one called "Filial Piety"!
Speaking of which, Shendu couldn't help but feel wronged — why did Whitebeard get the group initial name[Come Be My Son]while HIS was[Filial Piety and Fatherly Love, You Old Thing]?!
Whitebeard had it way worse, okay?!
…
Marvel Universe, Asgard.
"Thud."
Loki sat on the steps of Odin's Vault, Gungnir resting casually beside him.
The vault that once held countless treasures now stood utterly empty — aside from the pedestals where the treasures had sat, nearly nothing remained. All those items had long since converted into points in Loki's chat group account.
"People who can join this chat group are rather interesting."
For a thousand years, he'd never felt like this.
If mother and Thor had given Loki the feeling of family, then Su Yunqing, Bai Xuan, and the others were people he could actually communicate with — um, maybe even friends?
Thinking of this, Loki shook his head with a self-deprecating laugh.
Friends… this word was utterly foreign to him.
In this Asgard, he'd never possessed a single friend.
For him — Odinson, naturally different from every other Asgardian — everything about him seemed unacceptable to the people of Asgard.
Except for mother and Thor, even Odin could only look at him with disappointment in his eyes.
He'd seen his future in the memory copy — dying for that foolish brother at Thanos's hands.
Though he'd been somewhat surprised he'd die for this dimwit Thor, if it came to it, he'd probably do the same.
"But that kind of future won't happen anymore."
"Starting from now, I am the king of Asgard. What my foolish brother can defend, I will defend. What he cannot defend, I will also defend!"
"No one can destroy this place."
"Not Hela, not Laufey, not Surtur — and especially not that Purple Potato Head!"
Loki rose from the steps, his left hand gripping Gungnir. His expression was solemn and grave — he didn't notice how, in the instant his hand closed around it, Gungnir emitted a faint green glow that vanished as quickly as it appeared.
As if that glow had only been an illusion.
"Chat group — exchange for Odin's bloodline."
"Ding. Detected group member [Loki] exchanging for item [Odin's Bloodline]. This requires 50,000,000 points. Confirm?"
"Confirm."
"Ding. [Odin's Bloodline] exchange successful. Fuse now?"
"Fuse!"
"Ding. Fusion initiated."
The chat group's cold voice fell. From the void, a sphere radiating deep blue light drifted out — then in an instant, it merged into Loki's body.
No reaction at all. The moment the sphere merged with his body, Loki was forcibly knocked unconscious by a strange energy. Odin's bloodline began to remodel his body.
But before the actual remodeling began, there was a war between Odin's bloodline and Laufey's bloodline.
The outcome required no deliberation — after less than a minute of combat, Odin's bloodline's power triumphed over Laufey's bloodline. The latter was passively merged with Odin's bloodline.
At the same time, as if sensing something, Gungnir in Loki's left hand stirred — a layer of pale green energy emerged from within and flowed toward Loki's body.
Asgard itself sensed the rebirth of Odin's bloodline. The citizens of Asgard felt a joy and relief arising from their very souls — an unfamiliar emotion that left them bewildered.
Though some of the elder Asgardians wore expressions of hesitation, even disbelief.
This had happened before, in the past.
But that name was one that could no longer be spoken.
…
Time passed slowly, and the people of the chat group had their own affairs to attend to.
No one could remain glued to the chat group at all hours.
They had their own lives in reality.
Even Utaha and Umaru from everyday worlds needed to go to school. Daigu, besides beating up monsters, had to undergo physical training and firearms practice.
Uchiha Madara and Whitebeard had barely appeared in the chat group during this period.
The parallel worlds had captured their complete attention — they'd only speak up in the chat group when something interesting happened.
Whitebeard had already met himself and Roger in the parallel world.
The Whitebeard of that parallel world, upon seeing himself and an aged Marco and the others, had been absolutely stunned — deeply suspicious.
But everything else could be imitated; memories could not.
After communicating, both Whitebeard and Roger accepted the concept of parallel worlds.
Roger also learned about Ace being his son.
He wanted to say something, but didn't know how.
He truly wasn't a good father — he knew that himself.
He could understand Ace's grievances.
Though it was a parallel world, he still regarded Ace as his own son and wanted to do his best to make amends.
