Ordinary Group Leader: "I don't know why, but I think he's insufferably arrogant."
Richest Man: "If I had that much stuff to pawn off, I'd be insufferably arrogant too."
Richest Man: "But have you figured out how to deal with Thor yet?"
Richest Man: "Knowing you, you probably don't want to kill him — you probably want him to genuinely admit he's not your equal, that you're more fit to be king of Asgard than him."
Loki: "Just find some excuse to keep him on Earth."
Loki: "As long as you frame it as Odin's decision, he'll believe it without question — he'll probably even reflect on his own mistakes."
Loki said it with absolute nonchalance.
Deceiving Thor was hardly challenging. The moment you invoked Odin, Thor never once suspected a thing.
He already had a line ready.
"Are you the God of Thunder, or the God of a Hammer?"
That would do nicely.
"Father is deeply disappointed in you. As the God of Thunder, does losing your hammer mean you've lost your power?"
"Has that always been the extent of you, Thor?"
"Until you find your true strength, you are not fit to rule Asgard!"
Given Thor's attachment to Mjolnir, Loki didn't think Thor could possibly grasp the true power of a Thunder God before the hammer shattered — if it ever did.
By that point, Loki estimated he would already have reached Father-God tier.
Though Odin's disappearance was still a complicating factor.
He planned to lure Laufey to Asgard, then blame Odin's disappearance on Laufey.
Then kill Laufey, spark a war with Jotunheim, and let Asgard's warriors vent their fury on the Frost Giants.
The黑的 rolled right off Laufey's back, and Loki's popularity among Asgard's people would soar in the process.
A perfect two-for-one.
Cook Daigu Into Soup: "You really think Thor will just believe any excuse you give him?"
Ordinary Group Leader: "Are you doubting Thor?"
Ordinary Group Leader: "Have a little faith — when has Loki ever lied to him and Thor *hasn't* fallen for it?"
Ordinary Group Leader: "I literally can't think of a single time!"
The number of times Loki had deceived Thor was considerable. But had Thor ever failed to believe him?
Maybe he had, once — but try as you might, you simply couldn't recall.
Loki: "The only one he's ever had any real competition from for the throne is Odin's bloodline."
Loki: "Odin played favorites for fifteen hundred years because of that bloodline alone."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Are you saying he *shouldn't* have?"
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "One is the biological son, the other is adopted — and Odin's no fool."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "There's no reason he'd let an outsider inherit his throne."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "If the people of Asgard learned you're Frost Giant by blood — and not just any Frost Giant, but the son of Laufey, King of the Frost Giants — they'd rise up in arms. They'd die before kneeling to you."
Kasumigaoka Utaha watched Loki's bitter words and couldn't resist getting a word in.
Odin favored the biological child over the adopted one — was the old man supposed to be an idiot?
Their two races were enemies to begin with. Odin took Loki in, sure, there was strategy behind it, but he hadn't treated Loki badly. Thor and Odin's wife had been kind to him too.
Loki's resentment stemmed from not knowing he wasn't Odin's biological son until relatively recently. If he'd been the real thing, resenting Odin for favoring Thor over his own younger son would have been entirely justified.
But the crucial point was: Loki simply was not the biological child.
Even so, Kasumigaoka Utaha couldn't deny Odin's approach had its problems. If it were her, she'd treat them equally.
After all, the heart is the greatest fortress.
Loki: "…"
Was Kasumigaoka Utaha wrong?
Not in the slightest.
And that was precisely what made it hurt more.
He'd thought of himself as Odin's son — he could even kill his biological father Laufey without the slightest hesitation — but in Odin's heart, he was never truly that child.
There was genuine feeling there, just nowhere near as deep as what Odin felt for Thor.
Did he hate Odin?
No.
Not anymore, now especially that he knew the truth.
What he hated was himself.
His blood.
If only the blood flowing through him weren't Frost Giant blood — if it were pure Asgardian blood, or even the blood of the God King Odin himself —
Would Odin still have favored Thor?
Surely he would have given Loki the same level of attention?
The Asgardian bloodline… hmm?
Wait — something wasn't right.
Loki seemed to have noticed something. He hastily opened the chat group's store function and searched the items in his world. What he found there made his expression shift to one of delighted surprise.
**[Item: Asgardian Bloodline]**
**[Description: The bloodline of the race called gods in the Marvel universe. Depending on their天赋, they possess physical constitutions ranging from several times to tens of times that of an ordinary human, along with lifespans of thousands of years.]**
**[Value: 500,000 points]**
Although most Asgardians in the story had performed disappointingly — enough to make anyone doubt their strength — the reality was that Asgardian bodies were roughly three times denser than human ones.
They possessed strength, speed, and endurance far beyond any ordinary person, with each individual roughly on par with Captain America's physical素质.
Among them, those with exceptional天赋 possessed extraordinary, unique abilities.
Unfortunately, they lacked the Captain's "will," and with opponents like Hela, it was only natural they couldn't put up much of a fight.
But mere physical prowess alone could never justify a 500,000-point price tag from the chat group.
Because this was only an ordinary Asgardian bloodline — the strongest天赋 might elevate someone to elite status within Asgard, but that still fell far short of the powerhouse fighters from the Naruto world or the One Piece world.
What truly drove the price to 500,000 points was the lifespan bonus.
Asgardians lived approximately five thousand years, and a lifespan that enormous held considerable value even in the chat group's economy.
What Loki cared about, obviously, wasn't the strength or the longevity — his Frost Giant blood offered both of those things anyway, arguably even more. What mattered to him was the *identity* of being Asgardian.
If he possessed the Asgardian bloodline, then even Odin couldn't deny his right to compete for the throne anymore, could he?
Though this was only Loki's second choice.
After reading through the Asgardian Bloodline's description and price, his gaze quickly shifted to another item, and he found himself unable to look away for a long moment.
**[Item: Odin's Bloodline]**
**[Description: The bloodline of the God King Odin of the Marvel universe. Upon fusion, abilities awaken corresponding to the individual's physical天赋. Even a first fusion grants strength far beyond that of an ordinary Asgardian warrior, with the potential to reach Father-God tier!]**
**[Value: 50,000,000 points]**
One hundred times the price of an ordinary Asgardian bloodline.
But in exchange — it was worth every single point.
