Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 – The Sacred Knowledge Treasury and a Surprising Data Match

At this point, Hexi also sighed.

It wasn't that she didn't want to relax—but she would only allow herself to once she had cultivated a worthy successor.

Zhixin was the disciple she was most satisfied with, but even now she remained far too young, far too naïve. It would be a long time before she could take Hexi's place.

After the Three Kings established the new Angel Civilization, each had taken on her own responsibility.

The Skyblade King was tasked with suppressing the cosmos, leading the Angel Civilization's wars beyond their borders. Holy Keisha had fulfilled this duty well.

Indeed, ever since the title of "Queen of the Gods, Holy Keisha" had spread, no petty villains dared to provoke the Angel Civilization again.

The name "angel" resounded across all known civilizations of the universe.

Keisha was the Angel Queen, but in her own heart she remained, first and foremost, the Skyblade King.

The Heavenly Base King was the root and foundation of the Angel Civilization. It could be said that without Hexi's research, the civilization would never have achieved its present glory.

In the Merlot Heavenly Court, Hexi's position ranked just below Holy Keisha. But in Keisha's eyes, Hexi was even more important than herself.

As for the Apocalypse King—she should have represented the wisdom of angels, offering guidance to strengthen and better their civilization.

But sadly, Liang Bing had chosen a different path because of the void, one utterly opposed to theirs.

Holy Keisha rejected the void, especially the reckless spreading of void knowledge across the universe. Such actions would only incite terror, hindering the cosmos' growth.

But Liang Bing thought differently. She wanted to share her philosophy and knowledge with every civilization in the universe.

She never considered the consequences—or perhaps she believed that the fear of the void would spur civilizations to evolve faster, producing more gods, thereby increasing their chances of resisting the void.

Different philosophies naturally led to different paths.

Even if given another chance, Holy Keisha would make the same choice.

"Speaking of which," Keisha said, "Yan mentioned an interesting person to me."

"A man favored by Earth itself, destined one day to become a god."

As Keisha spoke, she recalled what Yan had told her about Brandon White. She wondered how Yan's guidance of him was progressing.

Great power, without the mindset to master it, would only enslave its wielder.

Moreover, his being was bound to his planet—the stronger Earth's beings became, the stronger he would be.

If one excluded the Angel Civilization, his potential far surpassed Yan's.

"Oh?"

Hexi's eyes lit up. With a playful smile, she teased, "What's this, have you taken a liking to him?"

"He sounds like he'd pair well with Yan. You let her interact with him… don't tell me you're trying to marry her off to some otherworldly male god?"

"…"

"I've considered it."

Keisha nodded. Compared to the Galaxy Power, it was clear that the people within that platform were far more suitable for Yan.

"But the data we've gathered is too incomplete. Without running a match through the Knowledge Treasury, I can't be certain."

"???"

"You're at it again."

Hexi gave her an exasperated look. "That stupid thing isn't reliable. It was the same with Aeneid, the same with Yan and the Galaxy Power—you thought it would work then too."

"Forget it. Do what you want, but leave Zhixin out of this. I won't allow it."

Keisha didn't argue back, but neither did she agree.

The Knowledge Treasury represented the pinnacle of the Angel Civilization's computing power—second only to the Great Clock across the known universe. With its capacity, its results were surely more reliable than leaving things to chance, to meeting and courting freely.

In mystical terms, computational power was like the Time Stone: it could foresee the future, though it required staggering amounts of data and energy. The Knowledge Treasury possessed that ability.

On a whim, Keisha suddenly grew curious. She input the partial data she had on Brandon White alongside Angel Yan's, and let it calculate.

"...Ninety-six percent?"

Keisha's eyes widened slightly.

Even Yan's match with the Galaxy Power had only scored eighty-seven percent.

Was it because the data was incomplete? Or was there something truly unique about Brandon White?

If so, Yan might really end up bringing back an otherworldly male god.

"Hey, seriously?"

Hexi looked at Keisha speechlessly. "It's one thing to mess around, but you're doing it right in front of me? Do you think I, the Heavenly Base King, don't have any dignity?"

Still… ninety-six percent?

That had to be the highest match so far.

If Yan matched ninety-six percent with him, what about little Zhixin?

Curious now, Hexi swapped Yan's data for Zhixin's and ran the match.

"…Ninety-eight percent?"

"Is this thing broken?"

The two women stared at each other. The highest result before had barely exceeded eighty percent. And now, suddenly, they had two matches above ninety—and not just barely, but overwhelmingly high.

Like children with a new toy, they began swapping in the data of every other angel one by one, running match after match.

"…"

They lost count of how many angels they tested. But the lowest result they got was eighty-nine percent—using Angel Leng's data.

"I'm starting to think it is broken."

Keisha rubbed her temples.

For so many angels to yield such high matches, it meant that within Brandon White's data lay some kind of force profoundly attractive to angels.

It was hard to believe an otherworldly man could exist with such compatibility to their entire race.

As for the Knowledge Treasury being faulty—neither Keisha nor Hexi seriously considered it. At most, they used the suggestion as a way of expressing their astonishment.

"Right now, Zhixin holds the highest match."

"Hey, old hag, what are you doing? Don't you dare—"

Keisha tried to stop her, but Hexi was quicker. She swapped out Zhixin's data for Keisha's own and hit confirm.

The Knowledge Treasury delivered its verdict.

"Ninety-nine percent."

Both women fell silent.

"I don't think this is about Angel Yan anymore," Hexi finally said. Her eyes flicked between the display and Keisha. "I think the entire Angel race has stumbled onto something extraordinary."

She smirked, clicking her tongue.

"Tsk, tsk. Thirty thousand years, Keisha. Looks like your male god has finally appeared."

"Sure, he's from another world. And sure, he's thirty thousand years your junior."

"But what does it matter? In another hundred thousand years, you'll only be older by a fraction of a fraction."

"Hahaha!"

Even Hexi couldn't contain her laughter. They had tested so many angels, all with sky-high compatibility, so of course Keisha wouldn't score low. But who would have thought she'd surpass even Zhixin?

Ninety-nine percent!

Forget Yan. Forget Zhixin. This wasn't their romance.

This was Keisha's.

"…"

Keisha's expression stayed carefully neutral as she looked at Hexi. But truthfully, she felt a little shaken inside.

Ninety-nine percent?

It was almost too unbelievable. Across the entire known universe, there likely wasn't another pair with such compatibility.
