Antarctica
Blind Robert, whose eyes had been plugged out and were dripping blood from his closed eyelids, was carrying Christina. Her legs were completely cut off, and she also had a grave wound near her shoulder. From losing blood, her face had become pale. Behind them stretched a path completely colored with blood.
Christina was nearly unconscious, barely whispering directions to Robert. Each word made it harder for her to remain awake.
If they were human instead of hunters, they would have long died from such blood loss. A hunter may feel more pain than a human due to their superhuman senses, but a high-class hunter has a strong physical body and pain tolerance to endure it.
Strength and regeneration are also the side powers of every awakened.
Even non-combat types like painters, chefs, or healers have the physical power of fourteen pro wrestlers.
And as for combat types—once they reach above E-class, they are three times stronger than non-combat awakeners. After C-class, they are monstrously strong, though each individual differs within that class.
Since Robert was blind, he kept walking. Above them, Eric hovered, his expression filled not only with pain but also with grief and guilt—as if inside him was a room full of shattered glass. Yet above every other feeling, fear was the most dominant.
Soon Christina saw Eric and whispered, "Stop."
Eric, glowing with blue flames all around his body and burning wings of the Blaze Falcon, landed on the ground. Even though he was burning, it didn't show any effect on the place where he stood.
But Robert, who had long lost his senses, didn't stop walking. Christina collapsed the moment she said "stop."
Seeing this scene, Eric's heart shattered into a million pieces.
He swept his burning hand toward them—the flame turned blue and enveloped both Robert and Christina.
(You can stop now, boy.)
Robert finally collapsed while still standing after hearing this voice.
Small, one-foot-long feathers began to fall from Eric's wings, soon turning into beautiful blue birds. Half of them circled around Robert and half around Christina. Strangely, the flames of these birds were neither hot nor burning—they were gentle, carrying healing effects.
The birds lifted them and carried them to Squad 8 Base, following Eric.
When they arrived, medics were already waiting at the front door.
[Hurry!]
Stretchers rushed forward.
Eric was the first to land.
The birds carefully laid both patients onto the stretchers.
Some people in white jackets and masks, along with medics, sprayed a special kind of sanitizer over Robert and Christina.
Neha, standing at the entrance, was shocked—surprised, grieving, pained, and confused all at once—seeing the condition of her best friend and the man she loved. Even though the bleeding had stopped because of the healing flames, the stains remained across their entire bodies.
The soldier who had reported their location could not utter a word, having seen them in such a state.
The people who only moments ago were happy—because the most loved person in the entire base was about to become a father—now sank into despair. All of them were holding back their tears so others wouldn't break.
"Sir, we will handle it from here," a medic said to Eric.
He removed the blue flame.
Eric was at his worst condition seeing the girl he always saw as daughter at such state don't know
What is gona happen to his soon to be born grand child, don't know what happened to his bestfriend mushashi

The disciple who he saw as his own son was probably dead . Just thinking about that was making hard for him to stand .
