Kion did not know how he could possibly fight off something that was immune to all his attacks.
Akaetri duralis!
Lila cast a binding spell, holding the creature in place. Kion remembered that spell.
The greitor remained stuck to a spot, but Lila could not hold on for much longer, as beads of sweat could be seen visibly forming on her forehead. The strain on her magic would be too much.
Kion turned to Penelope. They only had seconds at best.
"The way the merchant was reborn as a greitor last night," he said, "do you think it's anything related to this?"
"I believe so." Penelope answered. "This greitor was previously a mind-mancer. Someone must have killed him and buried him within these tunnel walls."
"Yes," Kion agreed, "and you notice how most of its core is missing? The soul collector must have shattered it and taken its pieces. In the end, only a fragment remained."
