"Blood brothers?" Hua Xi glanced at Ye Kuo, lowering his voice. "Are you talking about Sheng Tianze and Xuan Ying?"
He pressed on, "Ye Kuo, what do you mean by that?"
Ye Kuo paused in his task of sweeping up the glass shards. "If the Beast Husband in that scene just now had been one of us, Sheng Tianze would probably have tried to kill us..."
"But since it was his own brother, it seems he was actually able to hold himself back."
Just thinking about that scene made Hua Xi's chest tighten. The feeling was unbearable.
"Ye Kuo, it seems you've had an emotional awakening," Yue Hua Yin teased, before his expression grew serious. "But even if it wasn't Xuan Ying—even if it was one of us three, or even some random man who appeared out of nowhere—I suspect Sheng Tianze would have calmly endured it."
"Huh?" Ye Kuo asked, confused. "Why?"
