Yu Wenzhou, who had only been planning to pass by the Science Research Institute for a quick look, hadn't expected to be lucky enough to run into Yu Lan. His eyes instantly lit up.
He strode quickly toward Yu Lan, his cheerful voice tinged with a hint of worry:
"Lanlan!"
"Shouldn't you be in the lab doing research right now?"
"Why are you out here? Did something happen?"
Yu Lan was both surprised and delighted to suddenly see Yu Wenzhou.
She hadn't expected him to show up here either; it was a complete surprise.
For a split second after seeing Yu Wenzhou, she actually had the urge to flee.
In the end, however, she chose to stay put and wait for him to approach.
She shook her head slightly.
"It's nothing. The experiments are just exhausting, so I wanted to come out for some air."
"I didn't expect you to be here."
Yu Wenzhou keenly sensed that Yu Lan's mood was off.
Or rather, that she was hiding something from him.
