In the pitch-black bedroom, a pair of dense crow's lashes trembled lightly on a delicate snow-white face, as crystalline eyes akin to glazed glass slowly opened in the dark.
Shi Jue met those eyes naturally and without surprise.
His brain went blank for a moment.
"What just happened?" Ruan Li asked in a soft voice, having just awoken from chaos, her mind not entirely clear.
The crisp voice woke Shi Jue from his daze as he swept his gaze around, unable to find a place to settle, with heat spreading from his neck to the roots of his ears, seemingly scorched by flames: "Nothing, nothing, you just treated me and fainted from physical fatigue."
"Thank you, Ruan Li."
Shi Jue put aside his earlier embarrassment, looking at Ruan Li with sincere eyes that were as clear as a summer lake reflecting green shade.
He repeatedly mulled over the name "Ruan Li" in his mouth and heart.
Ruan Li, Female Head.
"Didn't you already thank me once?" Ruan Li said with a slight smile on her lips, secretly having been charmed by the handsome, shy young man's deep eyes and golden hair.
The newly lit light in the bedroom reflected on Shi Jue.
He sprang up with a "swoosh," stammering: "You haven't eaten yet; I'll go downstairs to check if the food is ready."
As he fled in a hurry, his legs tangled together; luckily, the Beastmen had exceptionally coordinated limbs, or he would have performed a fall on flat ground before Ruan Li.
Ruan Li rubbed her slightly aching temples, and after a brief rest, her growling stomach urged her downstairs.
"Why are you coming down?" Bai He sat in the living room, tapping away on a suspended screen with his fingers.
"The Female Head woke up." Shi Jue scratched the back of his head, the blush on his face slightly fading.
Upon hearing the second set of footsteps on the stairs, Bai He put away the Smart Brain and looked up at Ruan Li: "Female Head, according to Star Network, your fourth Beast Husband will arrive tonight, and the fifth Beast Husband, due to special living conditions, will arrive in seven days."
Ruan Li's steps paused for a moment as she casually replied: "Got it."
Bai He continued: "I've organized information on two Beast Husbands and sent it to your Smart Brain."
Ruan Li walked downstairs, quietly rubbing her belly: "Okay, I'll look at it in a bit."
Xu Mo brought the dishes from the kitchen to the dining table, thoughtfully pulling out a chair while smiling at Ruan Li, "Female Head, sit here."
Ruan Li didn't respond immediately, until she saw the red-haired, fox-like charming youth smiling at her, only then realizing she was being called "Female Head."
Ruan Li sat in the chair Xu Mo had pulled out, then awkwardly said: "You can just call me by my name in the future, no need to call me Female Head."
The air suddenly froze for an instant.
Ruan Li wondered whether she misspoke, or changed too abruptly, causing them to suspect her?
Ruan Li's brain was working rapidly.
"I know I did a lot of excessive things before," she coughed lightly, organizing her words: "I apologize for my previous actions, in the future I'll change, regardless of whether you believe it or not, I won't insult or mistreat you like before."
"If you get hurt, you can tell me, I will offer treatment, although my Healing Ability is only Level 1, so the effect may not be great, but I will work to improve my Healing Ability."

Also, she herself doesn't believe someone can suddenly become better for no reason.

"What's the reason for someone suddenly becoming good, even changing taste?" He raised his eyebrows.
Among four dishes on the table, two were meat dishes, both made from Ferocious Beast Meat.
Due to extraterrestrial radiation, some animals on the Planet were infected with an unknown virus and went berserk, turning blue-grey, categorized as Fierce Beasts.
No one ever consumed Fierce Beasts, except for… this Female Head with unique taste.
Ruan Li was rinsing her mouth for the hundred and eighth time with water, yet the stench seemed like a potent pungent perfume, indistinct whether fragrant or foul, and couldn't be rinsed off.
She felt as if she'd vomited her gallbladder out.
"There's a mouthwash on the sink, might be useful." Bai He reminded while standing at the door.
After using strawberry-flavored mouthwash to rinse three times, Ruan Li finally felt like she'd saved her life.
She opened the door, looking exhausted.
The pallor on her small face had lost any desire for food, the redness in her eyes and lips added an endearing hint of fragility to her delicate, haggard face.
Xu Mo's eyes deepened with amusement, fingertips curling slightly, tapping the table rhythmically.
