"Ten times!"
Ethan Grant replied, reaching out to extinguish the cigarette on the window sill, then turned his head to look at Zoe Quinn.
Immediately after, the sound of a slap echoed in the quiet mall.
As Zoe was silently pleased, thinking Ethan would stand up for her, a figure flashed in front of her. Before she could react, a hand swung towards her swollen cheek.
The face that was already in excruciating pain now hurt to the core, and tears uncontrollably streamed down.
Zoe hurriedly covered her cheek and retreated.
The smoke dispersed, and the man standing by the window remained handsome and noble. But his eyes were cold as ice, like sharp swords ready to tear her to pieces.
Zoe didn't understand why Ethan would have his people hit her!
"Brother Ethan!"
Zoe called again, her eyes filled with tears, looking heartbroken at Ethan: "What did Zoe do wrong?"
She didn't understand; Ethan was supposed to help her hit Serena Sullivan, but instead, his people were hitting her.
