Klo stretched out Luna, who was unconscious on the ground. Her skin was pale, with a few strands of her gray hair falling over her face.
Klo turned his head slightly toward the hero, who showed expressions of boredom and disappointment.
"Ugh—how long are we going to stay like this, Klo Yuthnir?"
Klo rose from his place, drawing his sword from its sheath, red glowing smoke scattering from it, carrying an aura of death.
Klo stared at the hero with a face hard to read.
He charged toward the hero, who matched Klo's negligence, and at the moment they met face to face, Klo swung his sword to cut the director, but he dodged. Yet Klo had a plan in his pocket, as he used the Author's Eyes to read the hero's next move.
When he lunged eastward, Klo stretched his hand there, grabbing the hero's collar, pulling him down and kicking him.
After kicking the hero, he tried to avoid Klo's incoming strike that was aimed at his head with the sword. But Klo, after swinging his failed attack and the hero dodging it from the other side, stretched his hand in the air, using his ice magic to freeze the hero's eyes.
After freezing them, the hero lost both the confrontation and his sight, surrendering to Klo, who clenched his teeth.
The hero fell on his back, rubbing his eyes with his hands in pain, screaming.
Klo advanced toward him with slow steps until he reached him and struck him. But the hero smiled, sensing Klo's presence.
"You're too late, Klo Yuthnir. I don't deny the fact that I lost my sight, but you will reset everything. Let's meet in our next confrontation."
The hero continued his words, laughing with muffled chuckles beneath his mustache.
Klo continued on to Luna, whose health points had dropped to 20 HP.
He carried her in his arms, forcing his face to look normal despite the fear consuming him.
Klo ran with all he had, in the form Lumi had granted him, rushing out of the dungeon.
After overcoming every obstacle inside, he stopped at the dungeon's exit, setting his destination to the hospital to save Luna's soul.
***
Klo entered the hospital, coldness pouring from his form. Everyone who saw him either thought him a monster or a demon.
Klo searched for anyone to help him, his voice filled with misery and weakness.
"Anyone? Is there any doctor who can help this girl?"
No one responded. Everyone who saw him either stayed silent or avoided looking at him. Even the doctors there didn't dare approach him to offer aid.
Klo sank into despair, watching Luna's health bar slowly decrease.
Lumi clutched the hem of Klo's clothes, staring at the gaze he cast toward that floating sign.
After her health bar dropped to 1 HP, it stopped decreasing, unmoving, and its color shifted from white to red.
What will happen now?
Luna showed signs of pain and distress, groaning heavily from the agony of death pulling at the stab wound in her abdomen.
Klo dropped to his knees, suffering in her place.
She opened her eyes slowly, gazing at Klo, whose pupils had frost forming beneath them.
Luna brushed the clumps of cold ice away with her hand, thanking Klo for all he had done until the very last moment.
"Thank you for everything."
The system's voice echoed in Klo's ear.

"One of the main characters has lost her life."
"…"
Klo removed the scarf wrapped around his neck, covering her face with it as he awaited the moment the scenario would reset.
He didn't move from his place for a long time, until another window appeared.
"Two of the main characters have lost their lives."
Klo looked at it with faded eyes.
Damn it.
He rose from his place, dragging his steps toward the academy. All he could think of was when this cursed nightmare would end.
He reached the academy to find it engulfed in massive flames, continuing inside to see blood splattered everywhere.
The flowers and fresh grass had vanished, replaced with pools of blood. The dazzling formation of buildings had become piles of foul-smelling corpses strewn across the place.
Klo walked inside to find students' corpses scattered everywhere until he reached Elithia's body, with a sword stabbed through her.
He removed his coat and laid it over her, continuing inside. When he reached the hall, he found a symbol drawn on the wall, resembling a knight chess piece, with the number 12 beneath it.
What does this mean, too?
Amid the raging fire, Klo's sister, Mari, entered the hall.
Her clothes were torn, she was panting with exhaustion, and blood filled her eyes with tears.
She found Klo in the hall, his form reverted to normal amidst the destruction.
She rushed to him, grabbing his hand.
"Klo, Lux isn't in his room!"
"Lux… our brother?"
Mari furrowed her brows, screaming at him.
"Then who else? Our younger brother Lux isn't in his room!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she was stabbed from behind, a masked figure entering, his entire body and face concealed.
Klo clenched his teeth until the world around him changed.
Everything withdrew, becoming a bright light, shifting into a moment Klo had witnessed before.
He found himself beside Luna, with their teacher before them, reciting that exam.
"This isn't a test… this is a psychological trial," Klo said in his depths.
Klo raised his head to find the window separating him from the teacher.

"A Rewrite chance has been deducted."
Klo lowered his head, waving his finger, refusing the exam.
"I won't take the test. You can count me as having failed."
Luna stared at him, confused.
"Klo? But I want to—"
Klo cut her off in the middle, his voice filled with hesitant fear.
"No means no!"
The teacher wanted to mock trembling Klo.
"Huh? Are you scared, Klo Yuthnir?"
"Shut up, you bastard."
Klo walked to the dorms to rest from the horror he had lived through for a whole day.
But he stopped before that, doubting the teacher who pushed him into that exam, and the hero's words about redoing the fight.
Does the hero know about the rewrite? And was the teacher the one who drove me to my doom?
