It seemed Han Solo had no desire to go himself.
Amir didn't care either way; he just wanted to scout Crimson Dawn to make future operations more convenient.
Soon, Milisen grew tired of the arcade machines here. mainly because no one would play with her anymore; anyone capable of putting up a fight had already been crushed by her.
Force-sensitives always had some unexpected talents, though Milisen seemed to apply hers in strange places.
Gaming, eating . . .
"Amir, are we going to have a picnic?"
Ever since hearing Amir say that word once, Milisen had been dwelling on it.
Amir looked at this pristine, ecological planet and felt tempted as well.
He patted Han on the shoulder. "Together?"
"Let's go!" Han was bored anyway. Being a smuggler meant six months of no business, followed by two months of feasting. There was always a period of starvation, though fortunately, he was currently in the "feasting" phase.
32 stood by the side like a bodyguard, making Amir worry about his mental state. Perhaps he should find something for the droid to do; being treated as a tool every day, he was practically sprouting weeds from his mechanical joints.
Leading the group to The Traveler, Amir started the ship. Looking down at Takodana from high above, the planet reminded him of his home, Earth. Green waters, green mountains, blue skies, and white clouds—the simplest words always outlined the most beautiful scenes.
Han proactively squeezed 32 out of the co-pilot seat and excitedly operated The Traveler's panels. Although he already had the Millennium Falcon, other people's ships always had an inexplicable attraction. Getting his hands on one occasionally was a nice experience.
Of course, Din Djarin wouldn't understand this. He looked at his Razor Crest like it was his wife.
"What's this button? New?" Han pointed curiously at a new button where the main cannon controls used to be.
"You'd better not press that." Amir immediately stopped Han's restless hand.
"A new weapon? Let me test it out!" Han Solo was very interested in the new gadgets Amir made. After all, anyone who owned a ship like The Traveler had to have good taste.
"Maybe another time. Let's not do it on this planet." Amir treated this thing as a trump card. It was best not to try it lightly; once exposed, it would lose the element of surprise.
Hearing Amir's words, Han Solo's curiosity itched even more, but he held back.
. . .
The planet of Takodana was very pristine and almost uninhabited. A glance revealed only the most primitive wilderness, with green trees and streams crisscrossing the land. Many places were perfect for a picnic.
Finding a clearing by a stream, Amir landed the ship. He moved some equipment down and set it up directly under the ship's rear thruster. By starting this thruster individually, the yellow-blue flame it spewed could perfectly roast a large piece of raw meat.
Unfortunately, Amir had no stock left; there were only some fruits and vegetables in the fridge.
32 took the initiative to pull out a blaster rifle. When the ship was landing, he had seen some wild animals running in the forest. His cybernetic eyes could accurately track the traces left by biological movement and lock on with infrared scanning. No one was better suited for "jungling" than him.
Amir and Han sat on chairs, looking at the distant peaks and drinking beverages.
"When it comes to enjoyment, you're the best. The first time I entered The Traveler, I thought it was a vacation villa." Han Solo squinted his eyes as he sipped his carbonated drink.
"I wanted you to be my first mate back then, but you wouldn't do it," Amir replied with a smile.
"If I became your first mate, I wouldn't have the Millennium Falcon. My ship is amazing." Han made that cheeky expression again.
Amir tried to trick him into the Rebellion again. "Really not considering joining the Resistance? You could utilize your talents better there."
"Oh, forget it. I just escaped the Imperial Navy only to join another army? I've had enough of the feeling of my life not being in my own hands. Being a smuggler is dangerous, sure, but at least I don't have some idiot officer ordering me to jump into a fire pit. And if it comes to that, at least now I can decide which pit to jump into myself."
"Besides, haven't you seen? I'm doing great right now. In a while, maybe I'll become a big shot, just like Maz."
Amir admired his confidence.
"You know me. I can tell fortunes. I can foresee images of the future," Amir said.
Hearing this, although he found it absurd, Han couldn't easily object. After all, he had experienced it firsthand.
"So?"
"I won't persuade you to join the Resistance anymore, but there is a chance to become a big shot. Do you want it?"
Mentioning this, Han got interested. "Let's hear it."
"When I foresaw Qi'ra's future, I saw some images. There was a dark shadow behind her. Later, I gradually confirmed that the black shadow was Maul, the former apprentice of the Emperor."
Han's ears perked up. To say he had completely let go of that relationship was impossible. A month ago, his head was still full of thoughts about making it big and going back to Corellia to pick up Qi'ra. It was just that the last encounter had made him feel the heavy barrier between them.
Now hearing Amir's words, he realized that Qi'ra's separation from him might have been due to immense difficulties.
"How could Qi'ra leave a place like Corellia alone, and how could she climb to the high ranks of Crimson Dawn? It must have a lot to do with Maul."
"What are you trying to say?" Han Solo sat up straight.
"I came to find the Mandalorians this time to deal with Maul, and also to deal with Crimson Dawn. Maul has something Bo-Katan must obtain, so they will definitely strike. If they succeed, Crimson Dawn will lose its true boss behind the scenes. Although most people won't notice, Qi'ra will definitely know. When that time comes, she will be the true voice of Crimson Dawn."
"Without the pressure coming from behind her, she might open her heart to you. Then you can successfully become a 'kept man,' hug Qi'ra's thighs, and become a gang boss."
Han Solo choked on his drink. Seeing Amir's teasing face, he knew this was a joke.
But it sounded like there was actually a sliver of possibility. This made him a little excited—not about being a kept man, of course, but about Qi'ra.
If it was really as Amir said, maybe Qi'ra would . . .
"So you have to be ready. This brother can only help you this far." Amir patted his shoulder earnestly.
"Are you going too? To find that Maul?" Han asked.
"Yes. I can't rest easy regarding those stubborn Mandalorians."
"Then I'll go with you," Han Solo said unexpectedly.
"What are you going for? Any random Mandalorian could pin you to the ground and pummel you. What use would you be?" Amir mocked him ruthlessly.
"I just . . . you know, want some sense of participation."
Amir laughed. "You're quite honest. But it's unnecessary. You'd be better off waiting at the Crimson Dawn gathering point. If something unexpected happens, you might be able to help."
"No, I'm following you." Han Solo was very persistent this time.
