Chapter 181 - Chapter 183: The Temptation of the Darksaber

Bo-Katan's gaze rested on Amir. She had noticed the lightsaber hanging at his waist.

Amir usually kept his own lightsaber hidden within the sleeve of his robe, secured by a hook that allowed for quick release.

However, he hadn't prepared a hidden spot for this new lightsaber he had just received, so he had simply clipped it to his belt. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't be easily seen, but he had gotten carried away playing video games and his posture had become rather relaxed and sprawling.

But this actually made things convenient. Amir stood up directly to meet Bo-Katan's gaze.

Holding her helmet at her hip, Bo-Katan had originally only glanced at this person because of the lightsaber, but now he was walking straight toward her.

A Jedi? Or just someone who had accidentally acquired a lightsaber?

She had seen almost no Jedi since the end of the war.

"Who are you?" she asked as Amir approached.

Amir looked at the two of them. Although they were both former members of Death Watch, they didn't adhere to the strict traditions of Din Djarin's covert. Their former goal had merely been for Mandalorians to return to their martial heritage; they didn't care about the red tape. Even the former leader of Death Watch, Pre Vizsla, hadn't minded removing his helmet in front of outsiders.

But for Din Djarin's clan, this was a great taboo.

After admiring Bo-Katan's armor for a moment, Amir spoke. "My name is Amir. I came here to find you."

The Mandalorian woman following behind Bo-Katan took a step forward, her stance vigilant.

"What is it?" Bo-Katan had intended to ignore him, but remembering the lightsaber she had just seen, she felt a flicker of interest.

Amir looked at the bustling environment around them and said to her, "Follow me."

Without calling for 32 or Milisen, Amir took the two women to a deserted corner and sat down at a table. Bo-Katan sat opposite him, while her sidekick stood behind her.

"Are you a Jedi?" With no one around, Bo-Katan couldn't help but ask.

"Yes," Amir admitted. This would give him a better pretext to explain the information he was about to reveal.

"What business do you have?" clearly, Bo-Katan was more interested in the Jedi than whatever they were about to discuss.

"Tell your person to take her hand off her blaster. I'm not going to do anything to you." Amir glanced at the Mandalorian standing to the side, still wearing her helmet.

Bo-Katan turned her head and gave a nod. The follower finally relaxed and removed her helmet, revealing a face about the same age as Amir, with braided black hair.

"I wonder if you are interested in Maul?" Amir looked into Bo-Katan's eyes and asked.

As soon as these words came out, the woman's eyes fluctuated visibly, and her sitting posture became aggressive.

"Where is he?"

Amir answered a question with a question. "Do you know of Crimson Dawn?"

"Of course. A notorious criminal syndicate."

"The boss behind the curtain of Crimson Dawn is, barring any accidents, him." Amir put on the expression of a wise master, making his young face look more convincing.

Bo-Katan naturally wouldn't believe it so easily. "How did you get this information?"

"I am a Jedi. Through the Force, I can see images of the future or distant places. Maul is the true power behind Crimson Dawn. Recently, Crimson Dawn has welcomed a new public face, a Corellian named Qi'ra. She has a past with a friend of mine, and she is Maul's direct subordinate."

"How do you expect me to believe you?" After her initial urgency, Bo-Katan had calmed down.

"Believe it or not, it's no loss to me. Also, I saw the planet Dathomir in the Force. That is Maul's homeworld. And I saw a curved-hilt lightsaber. It should be the Darksaber."

Hearing this, Bo-Katan could no longer sit still. Even the sidekick behind her looked at Amir in a daze.

The Darksaber was too important to them.

"What do you want?" Bo-Katan stared dead into Amir's eyes, seemingly trying to find traces of deception.

"I just want Crimson Dawn to take a hit, that's all." Amir thought for a moment and decided not to string Bo-Katan along; he could sense her emotions were in chaos. "You don't need to suspect a trap. You should know Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Bo-Katan's gaze became complex upon hearing that name. "You are his apprentice?"

"Yes." Amir revealed his own lightsaber from his sleeve. It was much newer than the one on his waist, clearly recently crafted.

Bo-Katan took a deep breath. At this point, she was inclined to believe him.

Jedi were far rarer than Mandalorians these days, especially one so young. He could only be someone's apprentice. And his reason—simply to strike at Crimson Dawn—did indeed sound like a Jedi's goal.

Amir had only given her a name and a location; he hadn't actively incited her to act. This made Bo-Katan trust him more. After all, the decision was hers. she could investigate fully before deciding whether to strike.

"If the information is true, I will . . ." Bo-Katan was about to speak, only to realize she had nothing to offer. She had come to Maz just to borrow money.

"No need to thank me. just take me with you when you act. Remember my comms frequency." Amir couldn't help but smile; everyone was having a tough time these days.

"I will contact you." Bo-Katan stood up, took a deep look at Amir, grabbed her helmet, and left.

The sidekick behind her also glared at Amir.

He's about the same age as me, yet he dares to speak to Lady Bo-Katan in that tone. Hmph, if I get the chance, I'll definitely beat him up!

Then she hugged her helmet and quickly followed.

. . .

Amir waited for the two to leave before walking out. He found Han Solo drinking alone at the bar. He wasn't bragging to anyone anymore. Oh, perhaps everyone here had already heard it once.

"You haven't told me about that matter yet," Amir said, ordering a drink and sitting next to him.

"What matter?"

"The time you asked me to tell your fortune. Your little girlfriend. Crimson Dawn." Amir prompted.

Han Solo's good mood was instantly dampened, and he fell into a rare silence.

"Do you want me to give you another reading?" Amir asked with a smile.

"No, no need. I know the truth myself." Han Solo recalled the last time he saw Qi'ra. The two of them were completely different from who they were back on Corellia.

There was a thick wall between them. He didn't have the power to break it, and Qi'ra was pushing him away.

That was that.

"Can you take me to Crimson Dawn's headquarters?" Amir asked.

"I can tell you the time and place of their gathering."
