Luis also disliked the strange odor from all the clutter at home. He said, "Mom, you really should throw out whatever needs to go. A lot of it is broken and useless anyway."
Ruth definitely had hoarding tendencies, not just the replaced TV, but even things like induction cookers she refused to discard. In any normal household, these would have been sold as scrap long ago.
