It was Friday, a day all students look forward to as it was the last day of class and the entry of the weekend. Most students looked forward to spend the weekend with their lover or friends... Mark and Ben were no exception to this.
Mark was quietly planning what to do with Ben on the weekend, Ben also was secretly making a list of things he wanted to do with Mark on the weekend.
The weekend was a great time to do stuffs not bothering with classes and club activities, it was the time of the week that the students take as a off day except for public holidays.
"hey are you busy with work or anything this weekend.... Like you got plans" Mark asked Ben.
Ben reply with "no am not busy with anything am free for the weekend"
"Yes!!!!" Mark silently shouted "yes.... Yes what Mark?" Ben asked with concern in his voice. "oh nothing, nothing... Nothing really" Mark side in denial.
"oh...." Ben muttered, with a skeptical look.
Ben didn't pry on it too much and mind his ow' stuff, Mark was delighted that Ben didn't suspect a thing of what he had in mind for their weekend.
After their first class they went to get breakfast from the school canteen they had only used it once or twice, but today being Friday they had to....
"I can't believe we skipped breakfast, because of Mr Charles Felix for his further math" Ben voiced out with an unhappy tone.
"every one had to come on time because he's too strict... Damn it my stomach hurts when I haven't eaten" Mark complained.
"yes mine too, let's just move quickly. 35 minutes from now, we'll be having literature so let's walk our a*s as fast as we can" Ben said picking up some pace.
"wait for... Ben wait for me" Mark hurryly walked after Ben.
The day seems to walk slower than they expected it to, as lectures kept coming and coming.
Some of the students were getting tired of the day, some felt sleepy from the classes and lectures they have been receiving all day, while their some that were secretly on their phone scrolling platforms and sending chats to others, and their are those that looked focused on the lessons.
When all lessons where over the students were all excited about living and what made it better was that all club activities has been canceled for that day and it was announced by the media department.
"finally we can get going I feel tired" Ben signed....
"me too I was too tired to go to the restroom" Mark said jokingly...
"eweeee is not funny Mark..." Ben said while playfully hitting Mark's arms.
"well it is to me... Benny" he told Ben as they walked out of the hallway together.
Each of them can't get enough from each other, each seems to see new sides of each other and that just makes their relationship move stronger and better.
Walking and talking seems to do good for them because they lost track of time.
"it's late can we just grab a bit at the cafeteria by the hostel there....." Mark asked.
Ben thought about it and said "OK I don't think I can make something before I go to bed."
"great then, this way..... Benny" he said while smiling.... "f*ck you Mark...." Ben said while laughing.
"they really make a great couple together don't they?" a girl from the background asked the others looking at the duo who were walking being free without the care in the world.
"yeah... If they had come out with their feelings earlier to each other, Ben wouldn't have been depressed and their relationship with Emily and Samantha would have never happened" the other announced.
At the other side of the walk way Emily and Samantha were seen walking, but they stopped on their tracks immediately they saw Ben and Mark walking to a nearby cafeteria.
"it looks like they made a better lover than when they were both with us... " said Emily.
Samantha just looked away before saying "let's go the other way Em.".... Both went the other way not wanting to be spotted by there Exes.
Ben being the most observant one asked "isn't that Emily and Samantha?"
"oh yeah.... It's them" Mark said with an unconcerned voice.
While everything was going well, one person was planning on how to winner another's heart.... "this weekend is the perfect way to connect with my beloved Ben... It will be both of us this weekend and if love is on my side, he could fall for me.... Rachel this is perfect".... Yes everything was perfect but for one little thing that Anthony forgot.
"did you take his number, like so you could chat or call him to meet you up" Rachel asked and had a question look.
"shoot... No, I forgot!!!!!" Anthony shouted with a sad voice.
It looks like things were not going to go well with his plans after all.
In the cafeteria that Ben and Mark were at was boosting with students who had along day in classes. Discussion and laughter filled the air, this atmosphere was where the duo found themselves in.
"this place is boosting with laughter..... It great to see people come together to talk and laugh with each other, it amazing" Ben said while smiling looking around the cafeteria.
"yea, this is an amazing atmosphere" Mark felt happy. Then and there Mark took out his camera to take a picture of the moment, he did but was lost when he saw the smile Ben had on his face that radiate with the dim light that shone on his face bringing out his handsomeness and the background that was the light glow from the evening moonlight, it was an amazing sight to behold.
With that Mark took a shot so he could remember this time that they shared together. He looked at it and smiled at it..... This was his perfect and unique shot he had, that felt real and lovely to him.
Ben who was lost in the scene and the atmosphere wasn't aware of the shot that was secretly taken. Mark starred at the Pic he took and was satisfied with it "I will make it into a frame and use it for a gift" he said with satisfaction in his voice.
After the meal together they left the cafeteria and walked towards their hostel rooms.
"it was an amazing atmosphere in there right?."Ben asked with a lens of happiness
" yeah.... You were so lost in there I thought you were never going to go " Mark said while laughing " it looked like you had never been to a gathering like that before..."
"i have never been the talking type or the sociable one too so this my first time experiencing these kind of things OK" Ben said looking emotional..... "I've always been the closeup kid ever since I was little and when my parents died it became worst..... I was all alone" he added remembering his past.....
"but that all changed when.... When I met you Mark, you changed me for the better and am happy you did" he emotionally said with a smile.
Mark was taken aback with Ben's confession.... "Ben, stop it you are making me feel emotional and who said you are alone," he took Ben's hands and said "am here for you and if I met you when we were younger we would have been best of friends then too".
The two stood there under the bright lights of the streets and the moonlight seems to shine brighter at them.
Mark placed one hand on Ben's cheek and said "always remember am here for you, and I will protect you from any harm OK..... I love you Ben"... With tearful eyes Ben responded with "I love you too Mark".
The evening air seems to blow love between them as they kissed under the evening sky.
Later at their bed, Ben and Mark minds still linger and they could still feel the other.
Ben still remembered Mark's words "you free tomorrow right... Not a thing to hold you back"
"no I don't have any plans" Ben replied in their hug
"then, will you be willing to let me take you out for the weekend" Mark asked.
Ben reply with a nod..... "then that's a plan.... I will pick you on time tomorrow by 9am so get dressed OK".... "ok I will be waiting".
The weekend has been planned, with the both looking forward to it.
