Chapter 15 - 8-

Episode VIII: Explosive Confrontation

Izuku remembered a time when he and Bakugo were friends, and how they both idolized All Might, although he used the term "friends'' loosely. They both admired him as the Number 1 Hero because he could inspire so many to become heroes like him. But their admiration splintered differently, Izuku saw him as a man that could bring hope to anyone with a smile on his face. While Bakugo only saw the victories he had and believed that was the key to being the Number 1 Hero, but when Bakugo got his Quirk and Izuku didn't, their paths diverged.

While Bakugo only cared about becoming the Number 1 Hero because of his victories, Izuku wanted to become a Hero that could save everyone with a smile on his face. Now, years later, they were about to see who's ideology was correct. Power, or Hope? Strength or Will? Bully vs Victim…

The four of them stood outside the building, as All Might was giving the final instructions to the team.

"For this exercise, the Villain team will go inside first so that they can set up and organize their defenses. Really get into the mindset of the Villains. After five minutes, the Hero Team will be sent into 'Deal' with the villains. Everything will be monitored, and if things get too out of hand I will step in!" All Might explained to the four as they nodded, while Izuku and Bakugo swapped a quick glance at each other.

Bakugo and Denki then walked into the building, as All Might and the rest of the class went to the underground observation room to watch the match.

"Well…Looks like we have some time, we should probably look over the map, huh?" Ochako asked as Izuku nodded and pulled his mask up to get a better look.

Top Floor - Team D

Meanwhile, on the top floor, Denki and Bakugo were just finishing setting up their 'Weapon' as they placed the large bomb at the far end of the room.

"So this is what we're protecting?" Denki asked. "You don't think it's real…do you?" he asked as he tapped the Bomb hesitantly with his knuckle until he heard a hollow sound. "Oh, it's fake… sweet," he said as Bakugo scoffed at his idiocy. "So uh…do you have a plan or anything?" Denki asked.

"Yeah, stay here and watch the Bomb. I'll go down and fight Deku, got it?!" he ordered as Denki raised a brow.

"Uh…that doesn't sound much like a plan, maybe we should come up with a better-" but by then Bakugo had already left the room as Denki sighed. "Plan…Great…I just had to be assigned to mister personality…why couldn't I get a cute girl?" he asked as he sat down on top of a crate.

Ground Level - Team A

Outside, Izuku and Ochako were looking over the blueprints as they were meant to memorize the plans before they headed inside. So far they had the layout down pretty well, they just now needed to decide what to do.

"So, what do you think, Deku?" Ochako asked as Izuku placed his hand on his chin.

"Well, if I know Kacchan, he'll have placed the bomb at the highest point of the building, probably around the 4th or 5th floor. But he'll be coming directly for us, or more accurately me, as soon as the timer starts. So that means he'll leave the Bomb to Kaminari," he said as pointed to the top floor of the building as she nodded.

"Wow, you sure do know a lot about Bakugo. You two were friends, right? You knew each other long enough to come up with nicknames, after all." she asked as he sadly nodded.

"Once but…something changed after his Quirk appeared. I don't know why, but he seems to hate my guts for some reason. And honestly, I'm a little nervous about facing him…" he admitted as she looked concerned.

"Are you going to be okay?" she asked as he nodded.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'll admit that part of me hates his guts for the way he treated me. And yet, at the same time, I respect him as well," he said as Ochako looked confused. "His ambitions, his strength, even his Quirk are awesome. I honestly think he can be an amazing Hero if he puts his mind to it, but right now I don't want to lose to him. Besides…" he said as he pulled his mask back on and his lenses focused.

"This has been coming for a long time…" he said as he set his sights on the building before him.

"...So then…this must be one of those bonded fates right?"

"Uh…I guess? Sorry if I blabbed on there for a moment. It doesn't really need to concern you," he said with a small blush out of embarrassment.

"Don't be! We're partners, after all! So let's go in there and win this!" she proclaimed as Izuku blushed harder at her more outgoing nature compared to his more reserved one.

'Man, talking to girls is so much harder than it looks!' he thought to himself, 'At least she is a nice one.'

"So, how do we get up there?" she asked as Izuku looked up, and then back to her.

"Could you float us up there?" he asked as she hesitantly nodded.

"I can, but if I use my Quirk on myself or exceed my limit of 3 tons, I suffer from severe nausea," she explained as Izuku nodded and then got an idea. He was so lucky his mask covered his blushing face.

"U-Um, How good are you with heights?" he asked as she raised a brow.

"I'm fine…why?" she asked as he gestured to his back.

"Um…H-Hop on my back and I can climb up to the third story, should cut our time by a good margin," he said as she raised a brow.

"You can do that?" she asked, "I thought your Quirk was like, super strength or something?" she asked as he shook his head.

"Actually my Quirk gives me the physical abilities of a Spider. With the proportionate strength of a Spider, the ability to crawl on walls, I can pretty much do whatever a Spider can - MINUS! The Webs, I had to build these for that," he gestured to his Web-Shooters as she awed a little.

"Ooooh! That's amazing, Deku! Sure, let's do this!" she said and immediately latched herself onto his back. Immediately Izuku went stiff as his brain worked overtime at the knowledge that a girl was riding on his back. He was so glad his mask was on, otherwise, she would see his beet-red face.

"A-Are you on tight?" he asked as she nodded. "O-Okay, here we go!" he said as he bent down and used his leg muscles to jump up high onto the third story of the building. His fingers immediately latched on the outer wall as he looked behind his back to Ochako.

"Y-You okay back there?" he asked as she nodded and held on tight around his neck. "Okay, we'll enter on the fourth floor. Then make our way to the fifth," he said as she nodded and he started crawling up the side of the building.

What he didn't know was that Ochako was facing her own dilemma as her close proximity to Izuku made her realize that his baggy clothing hid a rather impressive muscular figure as she could feel the muscles of his back and she blushed.

'...W-Wow…Deku's a lot more muscular than he looks…'she thought to herself with a deep blush, before she shook her head and focused back on the task at hand.

Earlier - Monitoring Basement

All Might and the other students gathered around the monitors as they began to watch the upcoming battle. All Might stood at the head of the crowd, as he held a clipboard in his hand and had a radio headset in his ear.

"Now students, I want you to pay close attention to this match! Use it as an example, learn from it and come up with your own strategies based on your assessment of the match!" All Might instructed as they nodded in response and he returned his attention to the monitors.

'The next part of this test you will be on your own, Young Midoriya. I cannot give you any special treatment. Do your best and show them all what you can do!' All Might mentally said to himself as he watched the monitors.

"So, how do you think they're going to get inside?" the kid with the cylinders on his elbows, Hanata Sero, asked as they watched the two heroes.

"I mean the front door is pretty obvious, but I don't think Midoriya is foolish enough to try that," Momo Yaoyorozu observed as she watched the pair.

Their eyes widened as Uaraka suddenly jumped onto his back.

"...THAT BASTARD!" Mineta screeched with bloody tears as he tried to claw at the screen, only to be held back by Sero with his tapes.

"Whoa! That's kind of fast, don't ya think!?" Mina said with a grin before Tsuyu shook her head.

"I don't think that's the case…" she said as they then watched Izuku jump high into the air then cling to the side of the building. Ochako on his back, as he started climbing the building like a spider.

"I had a feeling he had something like that," Tsuyu said as her initial suspicions about the boy came true.

"Whoa! He can crawl on walls!" a large muscular teen, Rikido Sato, yelled in shock. "Uh…how is he doing that?"

"Hahaha! Young Midoriya has a unique Quirk that gives him all the powers of a Human Spider!" All Might explained as he grinned at his monitored student. "Although, I believe it's best you watch and see for yourselves…" All Might instructed as they turned back to the monitors.

Izuku placed his fingertips on the window as he slowly opened the plane of glass and looked inside. His lenses adjusted as he looked around for any sign of Bakugo or Denki.

"I think we're clear," he said as he crawled onto the ledge, allowing Ochako to squeeze through and then follow after her with a roll, but not before feeling most of her body brushing over him. Pushing his feelings aside, and being glad that he wore baggy pants, Izuku focused on the mission.

"Okay, I didn't see any activity on the way up, so my hunch must be right and the Weapon is on the top floor. At least I hope so," Izuku said as he hopped inside. "Stay close, if I know Kacchan, he'll be coming for a full-frontal assault. Stay close and watch the corners," Izuku instructed as she nodded.

"Okay, but what if he ambushes us, like coming up through the floor or something?" she asked as Izuku shook his head.

"Don't worry, he won't be able to sneak up on us," he said as she raised a brow.

"How?"

"Having a Spider Quirk, I also have access to a Spiders Unique Ability to sense danger, it's like a tingling sensation in the back of my head that warns me of danger," he explained quietly as she awed a little.

"Woah! You are full of surprise, what do you call it?" she asked.

"Well, I call it-"

"Oh! Let me guess, Deku-Tingle?" she asked as he stumbled a little.

"W-What!? No, I don't call it that! Spider-Sense! I call it Spider-Sense!" he whispered to make sure he didn't give away their position.

"Really? Cause I think Deku-Tingle sounds cuter," she said absentmindedly as Deku blushed hard under his mask. And once again, Midoriya's brain decided to take a small vacation and let his mouth take over.

"...I…I guess you can also call it that…" he muttered as she beamed. "In any case, I should be able to sense when Kacchan is about to-" and just as he said it, his Spider-Sense/Deku-Tingle went off and he grabbed Ochako. "LOOK OUT!" he yelled just as Bakugo rounded the corner and unleashed a powerful explosion overhead.

Izuku pulled Ochako out of the way as Bakugo landed on the other end of the hall. A feral grin on his face as Izuku looked back up, while Ochako coughed from the smoke.

"Whoa! An Ambush attack!" Mineta screeched as everyone in the monitor room looked on.

"That is so not manly, dude!" A kid with spiky red hair said as he gripped his fists.

"A surprise attack is still a useful strategy for anyone, Hero or Villain! They are in a battle, after all, and to not use any advantage would be disastrous!" All Might explained.

"Midori was pretty cool dodging that!" Mina said as they returned back to the monitor.

Back at the fight, Izuku looked over to Ochako, making sure she wasn't injured. "You okay, Uraraka?" Izuku asked as she nodded.

"Y-Yeah, good thing you sensed him in time. That Deku-Tingle is really handy," she said as Izuku nodded.

"Looks like I was right! Kacchan wants to fight me in a full-on brawl, and that means his priority will be fully on me!" he said as Bakugo growled.

"Damn it, don't talk about me like I'm not in the damn room, Deku!" he growled, but then grinned as he rushed forward. "I'm not going to kill you, but it will be pretty close, nerd!" he yelled, going for a full-on attack with his Quirk. Right up until Izuku grabbed him by the arm with one hand and glared at him.

"Huh?" was all he could say before he was thrown all the way down the hall and slammed into the wall. Saliva spat out of his mouth as he impacted against the wall with enough force to crack it.

"Whoa! Did you see that!? He threw Bakugo across the room!" Sero yelled as everyone had their eyes glued to the monitor.

"What the hell?" Bakugo groaned as he started to stand up. 'Did…did he just read my attack?' he asked himself as he got back up.

"Deku?" Ochako asked as Izuku stood ready.

"You always go for a right swing, Kacchan. I can't even begin to count how many times you have done it, or how many times I've been on the receiving end of it…" Izuku explained as Bakugo looked up in stunned silence. "I've analyzed and taken notes on the moves of every Hero I've ever seen, including yours! All in that notebook you blew up!" he yelled as he thought back to middle school.

"For all of my life, you called me 'Worthless Deku!' and treated me like crap with no reason for why you do it! But it ends now, Kacchan! Because the name Deku won't mean worthless to me anymore! It means I never give up! So bring it on, asshole! I'll show you what I can do!" he yelled as Ochako stared at his back and remembered her words from yesterday.

"Deku…" she muttered before he turned back to her.

"Uraraka, I'll handle Kacchan. Find the bomb, I'll meet up with you shortly!" he ordered as she snapped out of her daze and nodded.

"O-Okay!" she said and bolted from the hallway.

Bakugo stared at the masked Deku as his mind went back to when they were kids and he would stand there exactly like that, scared out of his wits, while trying to protect someone he was picking on. But this time was different, this time there was no fear in his voice, only pure confidence…

And that just pissed him off more.

"Deku…" he slowly growled as sparks popped off in his palms. "You're really starting to piss me off!" he blasted his way down the hall and threw his palm forward for a powerful explosion.

But Izuku already jumped over the attack and landed on the ceiling. Bakugo quickly used his Quirk to redirect himself and shot up to the ceiling, only for Izuku to jump the adjacent wall and shoot a glob of webs right into Bakugo's face, causing the blonde to hit the ceiling.

"MPH! DMHP! FHMP!" (What the fuck!) Bakugo yelled as he slammed onto the floor and pulled at the web on his face. "DMHP TMHP SHMP GOM OUMP OMP MUMP!" (Did this shit come out of you!) he yelled as Izuku shook his head.

"Special webbing I designed myself, Kacchan. What? Did you really think I wouldn't figure out a way to make my own webs?" he said with a smirk on his lips. Bakugo just growled louder and used his Quirk's lowest yield to burn the web off his face.

"You are dead meat, Deku! I will smash you like the bug you are!" he threw random explosions, as Izuku easily dodged and evaded out of his way.

"Whoa! This battle is intense!" Sato said with shock. "I heard both of them were in the top rank of the Entrance Exams!"

"And that kid with the webs is really quick! No wonder they're good!" Sero said as All Might smirked at the screen.

'Young Midoriya has always been quick on his feet. That notebook of his was full to the brim with notes and analytics of Heroes and their quirks. All of that knowledge, Combine that with his limited control of One for All and his Spider Quirk, he will be unstoppable!'

Izuku tried to web Bakugo up again, but if there was one thing Deku could respect about him, it was his unique battle instinct. He doesn't fall for the same trick twice. Using his explosives to blast them out of the air before they could touch him.

'Figured he'd do that, Kacchan has always been quick to react and learns from his mistakes. He won't fall for that again!' Izuku thought to himself as he used his web to zip across the hall. 'Need to come up with something else!' he thought as he dashed around the corner.

"Don't you fucking dare run from me, Deku!" Bakugo yelled as he ran around the corner, only to find an empty hall.

"Huh? Where'd he go?" Toru asked as she and everyone else had watched him turn the corner, then suddenly disappear, "We were just watching him, how could he slip past?"

Bakugo growled as he stomped down the hall, "Where are you!? Don't tell me you're actually running away!" he yelled, unaware of the figure above him, cloaked and blended into the background.

Just when he was about to turn and look somewhere else, two lines of web shot out and latched onto the large grenade-like devices on his arms.

"What the-!?" he never got to finish before he was pulled up into the air and struck across the face. He landed back down but was quick to get back on his feet, but his head was still spinning from the last punch.

"Shit! What the hell just-!?" This time he was struck again across the face, and once more before being uppercut under the chin and then a swift kick sent him flying into the wall and two solid Impact Webs held him in place. That was the moment Izuku showed himself.

"Bakugo has been captured!" All Might announced, "The Villain team is off a member!"

"What!? He can turn invisible too!?" the more vocal members of the class yelled out as All Might smirked at his student. Todoroki on the other hand was staring with increased intensity as he made note of the 'hurdle' he would have to overcome to beat his old man.

"That dude is way OP!" Sero said as he was also a little envious of Izuku's use of his web-shooters.

"Strength, speed, and invisibility?" Tenya looked at the screen in amazement, "This is one impressive set of abilities! Truly I have underestimated him once again! Forgive me Midoriya!"

"No fair! I thought I was the only one with invisibility! But he can also hide his clothes too!?" Toru yelled out with a pout, not that they could see it. "That's it! I swear, if anyone else in here is going to steal my gimmick, I will tie their shoes together by the end of class!" Toru said without hiding her jealousy.

"Wouldn't you need to undress to do that?" Mina asked with a teasing smirk.

"Good," Mineta started to drool, "A girl getting naked and bending over- ouch!" He stopped mid-sentence as an invisible foot kicked him in his crotch.

Back at the match, Izuku looked at the enraged face of Bakugo as he nodded. "Sorry, Kacchan, but I need to be somewhere else. Why don't you just Stick Around," he punned as he ran to the window.

"This isn't over, Deku!" Bakugo shouted from the depths of his lungs as Izuku jumped out of the nearest window. Bakugo glared as his rage began to build higher and higher for the green-haired wannabe hero.

The memory of his younger self falling into the damn river played out in his head again, as he saw that stupid brat standing over him like he was better than him or something! He hated that, he hated that the useless Quirkless Deku was stupid enough to think HE needed his help!

Smoke started to rise from his palms as the webs began to burn. "That…Damn…Deku…" he growled as the webs started to catch on fire. "Don't you dare…" his eyes were practically burning with rage as he blew up the webs.

"LOOK DOWN ON ME!"

Earlier - 5th Floor

Denki sighed as he leaned against the bomb. It had been a few minutes since Bakugo left to engage the enemy and he was left standing with the bomb.

"Man…why did I get stuck guarding the bomb…not that I'm complaining, but I'd like to show off my skills too. Maybe impress one of the girls in the class, especially the one with big boobs~" he thought about Yaoyorozu's mostly revealing outfit as he giggled a little perversely. Ochako stared at him from behind the pillar and backed away from him slightly…

'...Do I really have to fight him?' she asked herself, Denki suddenly stopped giggling and looked towards her

"I can see you there, cute face! Your helmet is bulging into the room." He called out as she flinched and made a mental note to change her helmet later. Seeing that there is no point in hiding, Ochako entered the room and took a good look at her environment for anything that might come in handy for her against her opponent.

Luckily he wasn't as smart as Yayoyorozu or Iida and hadn't taken the foresight to clear the room of rubble and debris, meaning she had a whole arsenal of objects she could use against him.

"Move aside, villain!" Ochako demanded as she walked closer to an office chair.

"I don't think so, cutie," Denki replied, "But tell you what, if you will not get too hurt when I zap you, maybe I will take you out on a date."

"Not gonna happen!" Ochako shouted as she threw the now weightless chair at Denki and cancelled her quirk's effect just before impact. Caught by surprise, the chair collided with the blonde teen as he fell on the ground in pain and Ochako walked past towards the bomb. "I'm really sorry about that, but you are not my type anyway. Try your luck on the other girls. One of them mi- AAAAHHHH!"

Ochako's rejection speech got cut short as Denki grabbed her ankle and shocked her. It wasn't powerful enough to cause permanent damage, nor did it fry his brain, but it was enough to stun the heroine in training for the villain to get up and throw her away from the bomb. Almost like being shocked by a taser. She found herself slammed against a wall, near the windows, too stunned to move effectively.

"I may not be as smart as Yayoyorozu, but even I know not to get too close to an enemy with touch powers!" Denki said as Ochako fell to the ground, slightly stunned from the electrical shock to her system.

"Now, don't take this personally but…" he unrolled the capture tape. "But I need to tie you up now…this doesn't make me a pervert! I swear I'm not!" he said, despite the slight perverted grin on his face.

Back in the monitor room, most of the girls and guys stared at him with a deadpan expression as they stared at his perverted face. Toru, Tsuyu, Mina, Yaoyorozu, and Jiro all stared at the screen as they said as one.

"Pervert," they all said, while Mineta was blushing with a perverted look on his face.

"Yes! Now tie her up nice and tight! Use the hogtie method and especially focus on her boobs-GAH!" but was swiftly kicked in the balls by Toru again. "Why do you keep doing that!?" he groaned as Toru huffed and crossed her arms.

All Might just sighed in disappointment, as he knew he would have to have a conversation with Young Kaminari about the proper etiquette for being a hero. But then his disappointment turned into a grin as he saw the outside feed.

Izuku had just jumped out of the window as he fired two lines of Web at the fifth floor. The tension from the jump and the elasticity of the webs made them the perfect slingshot for Izuku as he shot straight for the window of the fifth floor. At that moment, just as Kaminari was about to tie her up, the window smashed open as Izuku swung into the room. Kaminari only had a moment to realize this before Izuku's feet planted themselves into his stomach and threw him across the room. Izuku landed with grace before he looked over to Ochako.

"Uraraka! Are you okay!?" he asked as he went to help his partner. She nodded slightly but still found it hard to move due to her muscles being locked up.

"I-I'm okay…h-he has some sort of e-electrical Quirk…can't move…" she managed to say as he nodded.

"Okay, just stay here. I'll take care of him," he said as Kaminari got back up.

"Ah! Dude! So not cool, man!" he said as he held his stomach. "But if you're here, then that means…crap! Bakugo's down!" he cursed slightly. "Oh well…" he said as his body started sparking with electricity.

"Time to show them all how cool I am!"

"Too late for that…" Jiro said in the monitor room as she could only guess what he was thinking, judging by the way he was attempting to look cool.

"Take this!" he yelled as he did his best to direct his lightning at Izuku. But Izuku was quick to react, and lightning was not as controllable as one might expect by watching movies. Izuku jumped away from the lighting and up onto the ceiling. Kaminari tried hitting him again, but Izuku's reflexes were too quick for him as he jumped from wall to wall. All while shooting globs of web at him.

"Ah! Jesus, man! What is this stuff!? Is it coming out of you!?" he asked as the Webs struck near him, and Izuku sighed.

"Special webbing I designed, not going into details!" he said as he shot the web balls at him, only for Denki to roll out of the way and fire back with his lighting.

Izuku then decided to get up and close as he fired a strand of web at Denki as it latched onto his chest. Only the thing is his webs turned out to be conductive as the electricity covering Kaminari's body travelled back up the webs and short-circuited the web shooter on his left arm.

"Gah!" he yelled as the web shooter's battery exploded and webbing started leaking out of his web shooter.

"Whoa! Dude are you okay!? I didn't mean to hurt you!" Denki momentarily broke character as Izuku jumped back to the ground.

"Yeah, I'm okay, but it looks like your electricity short-circuited my Web Shooter. Going to need to go over the blueprints again. Maybe add some sort of insulation, but then I'd need to think about the battery size. How much would it need to be resistant to electrical shortages, maybe if I somehow magnetize the battery? But for that I'd need a-" he started trailing off as Denki and Ochako backed off slightly as Deku entered muttering mode.

All Might mentally sighed as he watched his protege babble on. 'Not now, Young Midoriya…'

"...Uh…Deku? The match?" Ochako said as Izuku snapped out of his train of thoughts.

"Oh! Right!" he said as he removed his damaged web-shooter and put it in his utility belt. "Looks like I can't use my web-shooters on you," he said as he got ready. "So I need to do this the old-fashioned way," he said as he shot a web line at one of the debris and threw it at Denki, who managed to just cover himself with electricity to destroy the object.

"Whoa! Man, you're getting serious! Well then…If I'm going down, might as well go out with a bang!" he said as his body began to surge with Electricity.

Izuku's Spider-Sense went nuts as he could tell the electricity building up was not a good sign. His mind went back to Ochako, as she was still partially still paralyzed and wouldn't be able to move out of the way in time.

"Uraraka!" he yelled as he jumped back towards Ochako as Denki yelled…

"Indiscriminate shock! 1.3 million volts!" he yelled as massive amounts of electricity shot out of his body and blasted everywhere, scorching the room with his discharge.

Izuku moved his body in front of Ochako as the lightning struck him and he yelled out in shock. But as he was shielding her, the electricity acted strange around Izuku, as he noticed the electricity wasn't as painful as he thought it was. And it almost seemed that the electricity was being absorbed into his body as the inside of his arms glowed with electrical currents and he briefly saw his nervous system glow beneath his skin and costume.

'What the?' was all he could think about before the room was blinded by the electrical charge.

"DEKU!" she yelled as the lightning blinded her for a moment. When the light died down she desperately searched for Deku, as she found him sitting against a pillar. "Deku!" she shouted and immediately managed to get up as she hobbled over to Izuku. "Deku! Are you alright!?" she yelled, worried about him. But he just nodded as he started getting up.

"Y-Yeah…I'm…fine actually? That didn't hurt as much," he said as she raised a brow.

"What, how is that possible? When he touched me I was down for the count, how are you still standing?" she asked as he noticed the glow in his arms fade.

"No idea…oh shoot! Kaminairi! Get ready, he might be ready for a…" he trailed off as he saw Denki standing in the middle of the room. Both hands up with extended thumbs and had the derpiest looking face.

"Wheeyyyyyyyy…." he said as gazed stupidly around the room. Saliva rocketed out of Ochako's mouth as she tried her best not to laugh at the boy.

Back in the monitor room, Jiro also had to cover her mouth to stop herself from laughing as she and the others stared at his face.

"...Huh…I think he must've shorted his brain out or something?" Izuku guessed as he walked up to Denki as the boy started just moving around the room. "Make sense if you think about it, that much electricity going through your body at once…not really good for you?" he said as Denki continued to wander around the room,

"Well at least his electricity is all out, now we can capture him. All right, I think we just won this-!?"

Suddenly, his Spider-Sense went nuts as he snapped his head to the entrance of the room and his eyes widened in both shock and fear. There, standing at the doorway was Bakugo, an enraged look on his face, as smoke started drifting from his palms from the burning webs that had held him in place.

"Deku…" he managed to sound out with intense hatred, as his red eyes were glaring into Izuku's soul.

"Bakugo!? But I thought he was captured!?" Yaoyorozu said as she and the others watched from the monitors.

"Well looks like he got out!" Mina said as everyone noticed the particularly angry look on his face.

"Bakugo!" All Might yelled into the intercom, "You cannot return to the match after being captured!"

"Villains do not give a crap about the rules, so why should I?!" he yelled as he raised his gauntlet up. "Deku knows all about my Quirk, how my sweat is like nitroglycerin, and that I ignite it with my palms. Now if the tech boys got the specs right, all the excess Nitro-sweat I accumulated should be stored into these Gauntlets…"

Izuku's Spider-Sense was going nuts as he began to pull the pin.

"YOUNG BAKUGO! STOP! YOU'LL KILL HIM!"

"NOT IF IT DOESN'T HIT HIM HEAD ON!" he yelled as Izuku's body instantly reacted, as he managed to push both Denki and Uraraka out of the way, just as the pin was pulled.

Ping

The softest ping soon gave way for the loudest bang, as a large explosion engulfed the room and the bracer launched all the stored up sweat into a massive explosion. The force of it was enough to rock the building, as a large chunk of the fifth-floor wall was blasted away, and the weapon they were meant to be guarding was thrown across the room and buried under rubble.

"What was he thinking!? He could've gotten them killed!?" Iida yelled from the monitor room, as he and everyone else looked on in muted shock at the insane display of power.

"What about the others, are they okay!?" Toru asked as they waited for the smoke and ash to dissipate.

Black smoke drifted in the room, as Ochako and Denki (Who was still brain fried) coughed out the black smoke from their lungs.

"W-What is the matter with you!? You're trying to get us killed!?" Ochako heard as she waved away the smoke.

Her eyes wandered around for her partner as he was seemingly nowhere to be seen. Before they settled on the figure before her.

Standing in front of them, with his arm held up to block his face was Izuku as half of the top section of his costume was singed, and his left arm was burnt pretty badly and the lenses of his mask were cracked.

"D-Deku?" she asked as the young man pulled his mask off his face and threw it to the ground.

"Well…that's ruined…" he said as he turned around and smiled as best he could, "H-hey…you're okay, both of you…that's good…" he managed to say as he stumbled slightly on his legs and gritted his teeth in pain. "Y-yep…just walk it off Izuku…it's just your bones…and your muscles…and your organs…" he said to himself as Ochako rushed to him.

"Deku!" she said as she held him, then turned up to Bakugo. "What the hell is wrong with you!? You could've killed him!" she yelled as Bakugo stared at the boy with his usual glare.

"Tch…damn Nerd…what the hell was he thinking, why didn't he move out of the way?" he asked himself.

"Young Bakugo! What you did was highly inappropriate and against my orders! I have no choice but to suspend this match and-!"

"Wait…don't stop the match…" Izuku suddenly said as he stepped up.

"Deku?"

"Not yet…not just yet…I want to finish this…" he said as he took a step forward.

"Young Midoriya, I must insist! Bakugo has broken the rules and as a teacher, I cannot-"

"I need to do this!" he suddenly yelled, causing All Might and Ochako to flinch. "Kacchan won't stop until I give him what he wants…so I'll give it to him…besides, in situations like this, the bad guy could always escape his bonds and come after the Heroes, right All Might?" he said as All Might stared at the screen and into the eyes of his determined protege.

He knew he should call off the match, he should, but he couldn't deny the feeling that Izuku was trying to get across. This was something both of them needed. For Izuku to stand up to his bully, and for Bakugo to realize Izuku's strengths…

"...Very well, against my better judgment…the match will continue. But if you pull that move again Bakugo, I will suspend the match, and your future in this school will be discussed!" He ordered as Bakguo clicked his tongue and nodded.

"Fine…not like I need them anyway…" he said as Izuku kneeled close to Ochako and whispered something to her, as she nodded.

"Are you done making out with your girlfriend yet?" Bakugo asked mockingly as small explosions came out of his palms, "I only have 8 minutes to beat you before the match is over!"

Ignoring that comment, Izuku held up his fist, as he was ready for anything Bakugo could throw at him. Bakugo instantly closed the gap between them as he used his explosions to propel himself forward, but just as Izuku was about to block him, he pulled an explosion right in front of him and went over Izuku.

'Fast!' Izuku thought as he was just barely able to drop low, as an explosion went over his head. But Bakugo was prepared for that as his other hand was pointing right at him.

"Got ya!" he yelled as he blasted Izuku and sent him flying out the hole in the wall. He would've plummeted had he not shot a web line from his shooter, using the momentum to slingshot back in, much to Bakugo's surprise.

"Crotch!" he yelled as his legs wrapped around Bakugo's head and he threw him down onto the floor. But once again Bakugo was known for his fast reaction time as he grappled with the boy and managed to create some distance between them.

"You really are Amazing, Kacchan…" Izuku said as Bakugo only growled and he launched a series of explosions at the boy. "But I'm going to win!" he yelled as the explosions cleared and he was gone.

"Invisible again… I'm not falling for that trick again!" he yelled as he made smaller explosions in his palm and started filling the room with smoke.

"What the heck is he doing?" Sero asked, "He's just making a lot of smoke, how's that going to help?"

"Because Midoriya's gone invisible again, he's using the smoke to track his movements and position. Midoriya may be able to hide his body, but he can't hide his movements. It's actually pretty clever…" Ojiro said as he moved his tail around.

Bakugo kept his eyes peeled as he searched for the slightest disturbance in the smoke, and when he saw it he blasted it with his Quirk. Izuku phased back into the spectrum, as he jumped away from his blast.

"I told you that won't work on me!" he yelled and fired his Quirk from his palms and rushed to meet Izuku in mid-air. Izuku managed to grapple with the boy in mid-air as Bakugo growled. "You're not going all out!" he accused. "I know you can go stronger than this! That lightning you had before during the Quirk Test! Show me!" he said as he spun the boy and propelled him with his explosions.

"Don't you dare treat me like a joke!" he yelled as he threw Izuku into the ground.

He had one move that he had never tried before, but if the rumours about the Entrance Exam were true, then his move could rival this green bug's ultimate move. Unfortunately, there was not enough space in the room, and he was just warned about big moves. So this move will have to wait for another day.

"Show me what you've got! Deku!" he screamed as he blasted at his opponent, as Izuku dodged and jumped away from Bakugo. "Damn it! Stop moving! It's like you're not even trying to fight me!"

"I... don't… need to," Izuku smiled right before Bakugo tried to blast him, only to be grabbed by Izuku who used 5% of One For All and holding back his full strength, threw the blonde against the entrance to the room, using any higher level of One For All would have most likely crippled Bakugo with the addition of his spider strength.

"I've already won!"

When Bakugo got up, he saw Izuku standing in front of him, but then he saw what was behind him. The girl he was teamed with had used her Quirk to move the rubble and debris off the Weapon, as she grabbed the bomb tightly while glaring at him.

"Weapon secure!" she yelled as All Might grinned and he yelled.

"HERO TEAM HAS SECURED THE WEAPON! TEAM A WINS!"

Bakugo stared at the girl with stunned disbelief before he snapped his gaze towards Izuku who was panting slightly. "B-But…how?"

"You forgot Kacchan…the point of this whole match wasn't about beating each other up…It was about getting the Weapon from the Villains…While you were focused on me…I asked Uraraka to secure the weapon…it didn't help that it was buried under rubble…but her Quirk is really awesome…" Izuku said as he gritted his teeth through the pain.

"So I win this time…Kacchan…" he said as he stumbled to his knees and Ochako ran up to him.

Bakugo's eyes had taken on a look of utter disbelief as he felt like everything around him was numb. He looked to his right arm where Deku had grabbed him as he replayed the events in his mind. Deku had toyed with him, kept his mind focused on the goal, while he had been blinded by his rage. Deku read him like a book and used that knowledge against him.

'So in short…even though we were going at it…I…I…I LOST TO DEKU!?' Bakugo's mind screamed at him, as he felt a cold shiver go down his back.

His mind was trying to comprehend the knowledge that he had lost, to Deku of all people. The boy that had stupidly chased after him since they were kids, the weak little kid that had no Quirk until a year ago. The one person that was nothing more than a stepping stone to him, had beaten him. His ultimate goal of being undefeated in everything had come crashing down around him. How could he have let this happen? How could he have lost sight of the goal? How could he?

His mental rant was cut off as All Might placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "That's enough, Young Bakugo. It's time to go back, get critique on your performance." He instructed as Bakugo looked over to Deku, Ochako, and Denki as they were escorted out.

"You lost today, but no matter if you win or lose, take a moment to look back on this and reflect upon your actions. Only then can you learn from this experience, and grow as a Hero…" All Might said as Bakugo hung his head. "But not to mention I will have words with you about your behaviour. I never want to see you act like that again, understood?" He applied a small pressure to Bakugo's shoulder as the boy scoffed slightly and walked away.

"...that boy…he'd be a great Hero if he learned to get off that high horse of his…"

Later - Monitor Room

After having his arm bandaged up, and a small boost from Recovery Girls Quirk, Izuku stood with the rest of the team as All Might began to go over their battle.

"For this match, I'd say the most important player of the Game was Young Midoriya!" All Might said as he turned back to the class. "Anyone wants to tell me why!?" He asked with his usual flair. Momo raised her hand as she began to talk.

"It's because Midoriya was focused on the task at hand, and kept that in mind throughout the whole match. Bakugo was clearly more focused on some form of a personal grudge match against Midoriya that he left his teammate to guard the Weapon alone. Not to mention his large-range attack indoors would have also done serious damage to his classmates and teammates. It was idiotic and reckless, to be honest," Momo said as Bakugo had his hair covering his eyes and no snark anywhere on his face.

"Kaminari clearly didn't plan ahead and tried to use a powerful attack that had left him vulnerable afterwards. But given the fact his teammate had essentially abandoned him, I don't fully blame him. He was able to damage one of Midoriya's support items, but I don't think he had it in mind when he did it. Not to mention he did manage to catch Uraraka by surprise and temporarily incapacitate her, but was defeated easily by Midoriya. In all, Kaminairi did the best he could with what little he had..." she said as the boy was still partially brain fried as he stuck a thumb up.

"W-Wheeyyy…" he said as Jiro had to hold her laugh.

"Uraraka didn't do a lot during the battle, but she was key to securing the weapon after Bakugo had foolishly let lose his power move in an enclosed location. Her Quirk had made it easy for her to move the rubble and debris off the weapon and secured the victory. But she had been slightly careless when it came to her opponent and allowed Kaminiari to temporarily incapacitate her with his Quirk. She should have been more aware of her opponent's abilities and approached him with caution," she said as Ochako nodded slightly.

"And finally Midoriya, he had kept his focus on the mission. He knew that his opponent had some form of grudge against him, and used it to keep Bakugo distracted. His use of his invisibility and Spider Quirk was also very decisive, and he made use of his terrain with precision. but he was also reckless, he nearly got himself killed trying to tank that blast from Bakugo. If this was a real battle, he could've been killed and left his partner by herself. He was also caught up in the same personal grudge with Baukgo and should've allowed the match to be suspended. But he did keep his mind focused on the goal and instructed Uraraka to complete the mission. So while Midoriya is the MVP of the Match, he still has areas to improve…"

The whole class was silent as they stared at the girl while All Might held a shaking thumb up.

'Holy crap she really said it all…' he thought to himself as he was both amazed at her analytical skills, and stunned by her bluntness.

"Still, Young Midoriya showed a clear example of his Heroic Nature in protecting his teammate, and young Uraraka was not aware of Kaminari's abilities, so she was unaware of his static touch. But you are correct, Young Yoayaorzu!"

"This was after all a Training match, not real combat. If we don't cheer each other on with full heart, then we will never become Top Heroes!" she said with a bit of pride in her voice.

Bakugo merely said nothing as he absorbed the critique of his actions.

"Speaking of which, Midoriya!" Toru said as she walked up to him and jabbed her finger on his chest. "Why didn't you tell me you could turn invisible!? Are you trying to steal my gimmick? I thought I was the only one with Invisible powers," she said with a playful tone in her voice.

"S-Sorry," Izuku said as he held his hand up, one of them bandaged from his fight. "It's just that I didn't really get a chance to show it off during the Quirk Assessment test, and it didn't seem like a big deal at all?"

"Not a big deal!? Dude, you were totally OP in that match!" Kirishima said as he grinned. "I'm kind of jealous I didn't get to fight you, man! You were so awesome!" he praised, as Izuku blushed a little, not being used to praise from fellow classmates.

"But dude, how did you survive Kaminari's Lightning blast? That looked like it would have really hurt. That voltage could probably kill an elephant!" Sero asked as Izuku looked down at his hands as he thought back to the last moments of the fight.

"There will be plenty of time for questions later!" All Might interrupted as they all turned to him. "The next match will start, with Team B: Shoto Todoroki and Mezo Shoji vs Team I: Toru Hagakure and Mashirao Ojiro!" All Might announced as both teams left the Monitor room while Bakugo merely stared at the monitor.

The match was a complete one-sided victory, as Todoroki showed his overwhelming power with his Quirk as he froze the entire building and claimed victory. Bakugo starred with intense focus, as he watched 'half-n-half' easily blow away the competition. And as the matches went on, he slowly realized his initial plans for being the best at U.A. were going to be a lot harder than he thought.

Meanwhile, Izuku was watching the matches with great interest of his class and their Quirks, while also going over the battle he had with Bakugo and the electrical blast he absorbed. In the year since he got his Spider Powers, he had never seen anything like that happen to him. The energy rush he felt at that moment was different. It felt like there was something else going on inside of him, something he felt he should explore later on.

'Does this have something to do with One for All? Did it do something else to me other than gain All Might's power?' he asked himself as he flexed his hand. 'Whatever it was, I need to be ready in case it happens again…' he then looked over to Bakugo and didn't know it at the time, but both of them were thinking about their grudge match.

For Izuku, he knew that It was stupid to keep the match going after what Bakugo pulled, but he had the feeling neither of them would've been fully satisfied with the final results until either one of them won. It was also something both of them needed. Bakugo had been the source of his pain for so many years, his mockery of his former Quirklessness had isolated him from others, his bullying had made him jumpy and doubtful of himself for so long that he had felt truly worthless for most of his life. He needed to face his bully head-on and prove that everything Bakugo had said about him was wrong and that he could become a Hero.

And he proved it today, if only in a mock victory battle.

For Bakugo, he learned that U.A. wasn't going to be as easy as he thought it was and that he wasn't above everyone around him. For most of his life, he had been told by his old middle school teachers and others around him that he was special and that inflated his ego. He felt that there was no one that could truly stand in his way, and that he would instantly become a better Hero than anyone else, and that they shouldn't even bother trying. But now, he had seen and felt that wasn't the case anymore. Not only did someone he once consider a pebble had the power to challenge him, but there were even greater hurdles that stood in his path like Shoto Todoroki, and if he was going to be the Number 1# Hero, he was going to need to put a lot more effort in than ever before.

Both boys turned to each other as if they came to the same conclusion.

'...This isn't Middle School anymore…everything is different…'

Meanwhile - Unknown location

Kai Chisaki stared at what remained of his Yakuza and held his fists in anger. For the past few months, everything had gone to shit. The Police and Heroes had raided their hideout, their Trigger distributors had cut them off, and nearly all of their offshore accounts had been frozen or attained by the Government. And not only that, but most of his enforcers had either left him or had been captured by the Heroes and Police, leaving him with very few to rely on. All the planning he had for his goal of returning the world to a 'Pre-Quirk Era' had been shattered before his eyes…

And it was all because of that damn 'Spider Brat' in the alley that took away the key to his ultimate goal, Eri.

Everything he had done was to rebuild the Yakuza to their former glory, to repay the debt he owed to the Boss of the Eight Precepts, to repay the man that had taken him off the streets and raised him to be a Yakuza. He had respected the boss greatly, even if he didn't agree with the old man's code of ethics that had limited them. It was the reason why he put the old man in a coma in the first place so that he could use his granddaughter's Quirk to bring about his goal…

But now…now it was all in ruins…and he blamed it all on that Spider Brat.

He looked over to where the former boss of the Eight Precepts lay, still in a comatose state and kept alive with what little Kai could scrounge together, as shook his head.

"I will make him pay…and I will bring the Yakuza back from the ashes…" he said as he looked up with hatred towards a board with multiple documents and a rough sketch of the brat's mask, as he had gathered as much information as he could. But there was very little to go on, as most of his contacts and corrupt cops had been arrested, or under investigation. Not only that, but apparently some serious string had been pulled to keep Eri well hidden, even from him. He knew she was somewhere in Japan, but couldn't pinpoint her location. And there were so many other reports of 'Spider Quirks', that trying to find the one that matched the brat that had stolen Eri from him was like finding a needle in a haystack. But he did know one thing, that brat had to still have Eri with him.

More than likely trying to raise the child in a 'normal environment', something that made him laugh. Eri wasn't a child, she was a tool for him and him alone. Only he could harness her true power, not some brat in a mask. So, if he could find him, he would find Eri, and once he found her, he would make him pay for everything he had done.

"But…" he said as he looked at the sketch of the 'Spider Brat' and the string connecting him to All Might.

"I can't do anything so long as All Might is in the picture. He pretty much-destroyed half of my enforcers alone with that Overpowered Quirk of his…I need to buy my time before I can make my move on Eri…I need help…" He turned to see Shin Nemoto and Chronostasis walk up behind him, as he nodded to two of the few that had remained loyal to them.

"We need to start putting together a team…one that will put the Yakuza back on top once and for all…" he said as Chronostasis put down a list of potential 'Villains' starting with a picture of a man with knives and a sword strapped to his body…
