A conspiracy?!
Kaito Ren frowned, lost in thought, replaying his encounter with Cyborgs A, B, and C. The situation had been urgent; he'd focused on eliminating them quickly. Now, it seemed they'd had a mission.
"Three!"
He'd get the stat boost first. He stealthily followed the monsters.
They arrived at a cave several kilometers away and entered. Confirming there were no other monsters nearby, Kaito Ren emerged from his hiding spot.
[You've followed the monsters to a suspicious cave. What do you do?]
[1: Go inside. (Gain Strength Enhancement Agent +10)]
[2: Leave. (Gain Constitution Enhancement Agent +10)]
[3: Continue observing. (Gain Speed Enhancement Agent +10)]
"Three!"
Kaito Ren chose the safest option. The cave looked deep and dangerous. He wasn't going to rush in. He wasn't going to miss out on free stats though!
He retreated, hiding in the bushes.
Soon, the monsters emerged, each carrying a box, struggling under their weight. Were there valuable items inside?
Kaito Ren considered attacking them, taking the boxes, but after checking their strength, he dismissed the idea.
The lead two were Wolf-level Upper; the other five were Wolf-level Middle. He'd struggled against the flawed Wolf-level Middle cyborgs; taking on seven, including two Wolf-level Upper monsters, would be suicide.
Kaito Ren watched them leave, then emerged from hiding, pondering the cave's contents. Unbeknownst to him, eyes watched him from within. If he entered, he'd be attacked.
Outside the cave, Kaito Ren hesitated, ultimately deciding against it. The risk wasn't worth the reward. He'd already gotten two stat boosts and was satisfied.
He headed back to the dorm. Zombieman should be in class by now.
"Help!"
"Why are there monsters in the Reserve Hero School?!"
"What's happening?!"
"Where did these monsters come from?!"
As Kaito Ren reached the school gates, he saw students fleeing in terror.
"What happened?!"
Kaito Ren stopped a terrified student.
"Three monsters! It was terrifying!"
The student was relieved to have escaped.
Three monsters?!
Kaito Ren found this odd. Were monsters gathering? He hadn't encountered many before, but now there were so many.
[Monsters have appeared in the Reserve Hero School. What do you do?]
[1: Find and eliminate the monsters. (Gain Strength Enhancement Agent +12)]
[2: Escape. (Gain Constitution Enhancement Agent +12)]
[3: Seek help from the Hero Association. (Gain Speed Enhancement Agent +6)]

"One!"
Kaito Ren chose to fight. Fleeing from three monsters was unacceptable. And he wasn't sharing his spoils with anyone.
Inside the school, everyone was hiding.
"Damn it! Come out! I know you're here!"
"Kaito Ren, show yourself!"

Kaito Ren, scouting the area, froze at hearing his name. How did they know his name and location? The voice was familiar… Dingo Naiwa!
"Found you!"
A gruff voice called out—Dingo Naiwa's second brother.
"Thanks to you, we're so much stronger!"
Dingo Naiwa's second brother, barely humanoid, grinned, revealing sharp teeth.
"Yeah, I feel so powerful!"
Dingo Naiwa's older brother emerged, but…
Kaito Ren stared at the monstrous siblings.
"Oh? I found my beloved! Brothers, grab him! Don't hurt his face!"
Dingo Naiwa's voice approached.
"Kid, you can't resist us!"
"You're strong among humans, but not against us!"
The brothers laughed confidently, certain of victory. A human Kaito Ren was no match for them.
"Kaito Ren, if you come with me, I'll spare this school."
Dingo Naiwa arrived. But…
Kaito Ren looked at the monstrous Dingo Naiwa. If not for her voice, he wouldn't have recognized her. She'd completely changed. And, aesthetically speaking, she was attractive.
Like Sweet Mask, she'd become a monster due to self-loathing, transforming her appearance. But what about her brothers?
